Types of food or food combinations that seem really counter-intuitive at first but a lot of people enjoy them once they taste them are the absolute worst thing to try and convince people that you personally genuinely dislike them.

No matter how emphatic you are, people will assume you're just rejecting the concept out of hand and you'll be stoked about the damn thing once you actually have a taste. Like I don't care about the history of the dish or how many other people liked it once they tried it or what culinary science has to say about the flavour combination. None of that is going to change the fact that I don't bloody like it.
