SKZ AS BOLLYWOOD QUOTES (with translation)
PART-5
LEE KNOW: Zung hathyaaro ko lagta hai ... iraado ko nahi [Shootout at Wadala - 2013]
Trans: only the weapons get rusted...not the confidence
Remember the time when he got eliminated from the skz reality show...he went home walking in the rain coz he thought he didn't deserve a cab...and that's where guys this quotes comes into application. He might have failed in the eyes of judges, but that day his confidence in dance and his passion and most importantly believing in himself had bought him massive support from stays and immense success 🧿✨

Who is Manya surve jivani
Tumblr media
Manya Surve, often referred to as the "Mumbai ka Baap" or "Father of Mumbai," was a Manya surve jivani notable figure in the criminal history of Mumbai, India. Born on August 15, 1944, in the city of Mumbai, Manya Surve's life took a tragic turn as he became one of the most feared gangsters in the 1960s.
Manya Surve's story is a complex one, intertwined with poverty, injustice, and a desperate fight for survival. Growing up in the slums of Mumbai, Surve witnessed firsthand the harsh realities of life in a city marked by stark social inequalities. The constraints of his environment, coupled with a desire for a better life, led him down a path of crime.
However, it is crucial to understand that Manya Surve was not merely a run-of-the-mill criminal. Despite his involvement in unlawful activities, he possessed a certain charisma and intelligence that set him apart from his peers. He was known for his sharp mind, strategic thinking, and an unwavering determination to challenge the existing power structures.
Manya Surve's criminal career gained significant momentum in the late 1960s. He formed an alliance with a group of like-minded individuals, and together they committed a series of daring robberies, often targeting influential figures and establishments. The audacity and precision of their operations earned Surve a reputation as a formidable adversary and a symbol of resistance against the oppressive system.
However, Surve's rise to prominence was not without consequences. In January 1982, a police encounter took place in which Manya Surve was gunned down, marking the end of his tumultuous journey. This incident sparked a wave of controversy, as many questioned the circumstances surrounding his death. Some believed that Surve's demise was a result of police brutality and a desperate attempt to silence a voice challenging the status quo.
The legend of Manya Surve continued to grow even after his death. His life story became the inspiration for the critically acclaimed Bollywood movie "Shootout at Wadala" released in 2013. The film depicted the events leading to his encounter, shedding light on the socio-political landscape of the time and presenting a nuanced portrayal of a man driven to crime by the injustices he faced.
While Manya Surve's actions were undoubtedly criminal, his story serves as a reminder of the systemic issues and deep-rooted inequalities that exist in society. His struggles and aspirations resonate with many who have experienced similar circumstances, albeit in different forms. Surve's life underscores the need for addressing social disparities, providing equal opportunities, and working towards a more inclusive and just society.
In conclusion, Manya Surve's life was marked by tragedy, rebellion, and a struggle for survival. Despite his criminal activities, he remains an intriguing figure in Mumbai's history. His story highlights the complex interplay between poverty, inequality, and crime. Manya Surve's legacy serves as a reminder that society must strive to address the root causes of such issues to prevent the rise of individuals like him and create a more equitable future for all.

2010s BOLLYWOOD ! -- TOP 236 FILMS OF 2010s BOLLYWOOD !
INDIES TOP 236 FILMS OF 2010s BOLLYWOOD !
With westernized Bollywood on the throes of its mini-liberation from old school film-making, the 2010s gushed in bringing an unsettling western-modelled ‘dark art’ culture along, dominated by mission ideas of dechauvinizing art societies, that laced with a new generally hyper-aggressive female liberalization pitch, & a more deeply politicized grain of art that Indian mainstream culture had surely never seen before. If to offer an interesting analogy, the 80s Bollywood revisited, but with female action heroes in lead, fighting the feminine way forward, & with 80s alternate cinema mode of art, breaking in to acquire & establish itself as the new mainstream Bollywood core.
That said, a decade that saw, the by now totally & utterly multi-nationally corporatized Bollywood, via fiscal networking, bring an amazing to the point of mysterious, further average 5 times growth in box office collection figures, over the previous decade no less. If to offer an imaginary comparative analysis, films that wouldn’t stand 2 days in cinemas in old Bollywood systems, now raking in cool 50-60 crs + worth of net biz!
If the 2000s ushered in “New Bollywood”, the 2010s transformed it beyond recognition.
Hold Indies hand, through the decade’s best most presentable art from “Genetically modified Bollywood”. A collection that can well be described as the best of “Intelligent Bollywood”, with John Abraham & his array of patriotic spy thrillers infused with praiseworthy integrity ruling the roost at Indies, followed by the talented Arshad Warsi & his modern classic courtroom drama exposing the deep root in the nation’s police & legal systems, a classic investigation drama on the corrupt bio-chemical industry, as also a slew of modern classic to highly entertaining comedies, following closely next. Also noteworthy being the super-legendary late Farooq Shaikh (in Indies All-Time Top 20 Actors!) registering no lesser than 6 films in the last 3 yrs of his marvellous career!
Till we meet again.

Bollywood Movies Part CXLVII: The Mollywood Takeover Part XVII
Tumblr media
ACP Shamsher Khan (Sanjay Dutt) is tasked with taking down gang leader Maya (Vivek Oberoi) who has recently come into power in Mumbai.
Shootout at Lokhandwala is based on the actual 1991 shootout between police and Maya Dolas’s gang. The film was an interesting depiction of the conflict and the events leading up to it. Vivek Oberoi was spectacular in his villainous role. Favorite songs are Unke Nashe Mein and Mere Yaar. Neither song has subtitles.

Savithri (Rima Kallingal) is happily married and the champion at her local chess club. However, when newcomer Shishir (Praveen Anidil) beats her in their first match, she begins to spend more time with him in the hopes it was a fluke, and the two find themselves drawn to each other.
August Club is an intriguing movie. I enjoyed how the movie portrayed Savithri’s internal conflict over her differing desires and how she ultimately resolves it. While some might think her choice a cop-out, I think the movie shows how it is Savithri’s best choice for her own happiness. Favorite song is Vaathil Charumo (no subtitles).

Dr. Zacharia, a gynecologist, deals with four different expectant mothers at the same time. They are Zaira (Sanusha), a teenager who refuses to reveal the father; Fatima (Rima Kallingal), a nurse in Dr. Zacharia’s clinic who pretends to be pregnant to get his sympathy; Sister Jasmine Jennifer (Geetha), a nun who decides to become a mother via artificial insemination; and Anuradha (Sandra Thomas) who discovers she is pregnant with her lover’s child after her husband is in an accident.
Zachariayude Garbhinikal is a very interesting look into the circumstances of different pregnant women and their motivations. Fatima’s and Sister Jasmine Jennifer’s stories are the most interesting because their respective actors make them work extremely well. The other two stories aren’t as interesting, and are a little cliched, but they also work. Favorite songs are Veyil Chilla and Melle Thanji Konji. Neither song has subtitles.
