Sorry, for not posting as much as I should, I don't think I am going to use Tumblr as much as I thought I would. But here's my new plot bunnies. Hope you enjoy it at least. Never mind I might be using it a bit more than I thought, also I will be going through and editing my mistakes and bad grammar. It will take a while so I hope you can be patient with me.

Fandoms Danny phantom. Durarara!!

Title: lonely souls no longer lonely.

Plot Summary.

Danny has to leave home because it's no longer safe in Amity Park.

Danny was caught by the G I W and he was experimented on.

In this fanfic Danny was adopted by the Fenton's when he was a baby. He is actually the illegitimate son of Orihara Shirou and is Izaya's half brother, that he has no idea about and didn't even know existed in the first place.

The rest of this fic would be focusing on Danny just trying to survive in the Ikebukuro. But he keeps getting mistaken for izaya.

This will have Shizaya and Izaya and Shizuo adopting Danny. Shizaya is important to the story but it's not the main focus, instead it's a secondary one.

Title: X Marks The Spot.

Fandoms Danny Phantom. Teen Titans.

Plot Summary.

It isn't safe anymore for the Fenton siblings in their own universe, so they leave their home dimension and they go to the DC universe.

There were some complications leading to Danny and his clone Ellie (Dani, I'm calling her Ellie because it's easier) becoming babies in between the ages of 1 month and 6 months old.

It's mainly just BAMF Jazz, she's raising her kids, kicking ass, and stealing stuff from evil corporations and Rich assholes.

50/50 if it is Jazz X Dick, but we'll just have to see.

The story would pick up where the Teen Titans cartoon ended. Perhaps the black and white monster could have been a ghost. Maybe we learn why Tara came back. FYI I know that there's a Teen Titans comic called Teen Titans go, not the same as that cartoon, it's set in the original series. Point is I'm not following the comics I'm going to do my own thing.

Fandoms Durarara!! ark survival evolved.

I had an idea for a story, but I have gotten some of the lore of ark completely wrong so my original story idea is completely scrapped.

Title: Records of a Forgotten Hero.

Fandoms Danny phantom. MHA.

Plot Summary.

Midoriya, Bakugou and Todoroki are in an accident that gives them multiple quirks? And they are very confused on what's going on.

Danny leaves behind a video diary for the three new halfas. So they can understand what is going on, and why they have multiple quirks now.

I don't have much of a plot figured out for this one yet.

Title: The Runaway Babies.

Fandom Durarara!!.

Plot Summary.

Two young girls come to Ikebukuro to make a new life for themselves. They end up getting a bit more than what they bargained for, but a happy ending all the same.

Don't have very much for the story except the OCs end up adopting both Izaya and Shizuo instead of being adopted by them. The OCs are similar to izaya and shizuo.

It's a shizaya kid fic. Kids adopting their parents instead of the parents adopting the kids.

Title: a bond between two souls.

Fandoms My Hero Academia. Durarara!!

Plot Summary.

Bakugou and Deku wake up in the past and in the bodies of Izaya and Shizuo.

And they have no idea why, but now they have to figure out what happened to them and why they're here, and simultaneously deal with Izaya and Shizuo. Izaya and Shizuo are not happy that Bakugou and Deku are in their bodies.

I have no idea what I'm going to do with this fic, but I had so many ideas, but no real cohesive plot.

It's a reincarnation and soulmate AU. BakuDeku. Shizaya.

Bakugou is in Izaya's body and Deku is in Shizuo's.

Series title: Demons Of Gotham.

AKA, DOG. lol.

Fandoms Batman. Danny phantom.

Plot Summary.

Two demons have entered Gotham City and started attacking most of the rogues.

And at the same time Wayne Manor is being haunted by something or someone.

This is just going to be a series of one shots and maybe a few multi chapter fics. It's just meant to be a bunch of funny, wholesome, and horrifying (for the villains at least) stories about Thomas and Martha Wayne haunting Gotham (and kicking Joker's teeth out) for Jason, because he deserves better.

Series title: MHA Trip to DC.

Fandom MHA. DC animated universe. DC extended universe. Batman Wayne family adventures.

Plot Summary.

Just another series where MHA characters and DC characters. i don't have a story at the moment.

So thinking this is his last chance he calls his sisters and his friend Shinra, he even calls Shizuo and apologizes to them.

But no one picks up for whatever reason, except Shizuo.

Was inspired by an episode of SVU.

Plot Summary.

Shizuo and Izaya wake up in a strange Lab. But they don't wake up together. Instead they wake up in different parts of the lab at different times.

They soon learn that the world has been overtaken by monsters. And they themselves are slowly turning into monsters as well.

Mermaid AU. Inspired by the movie Deep Blue sea.

Essentially it's the plot of the movie but replacing the sharks with mermaids and one of the mermaids Izaya. Maybe the other two mermaids or his sisters.

Shizuo is the shark handler guy. but instead of sharks it's mermaids.

Not the exact plot of the movie but definitely inspired.

Shizuo wake's up in bed with Izaya, and is mortified. He's not sure what happened. He's planning on leaving, but he wants answers (and he would feel a little scummy for just sleeping with someone and leaving them right after.)

During all of this Izaya is asleep.

This is the story with all the alternate versions of Shizuo and Izaya.

Shinra thought it would be a fun idea to clone them. that goes as well as you would think.

Now all the clones are loose, and Shizuo and Izaya don't know that they were cloned.

It is much chaos. In short the children have gotten loose and they're causing mayhem.

Plot Summary.

The story just has one alternate version of Shizuo.

Delic is Shizuo's cousin and Izaya doesn't know about him.

But Delic knows about Izaya and decides to mess with him.

Examples are, flirting, calling Izaya cute while he's flustered, etc etc.

And all while he's pretending to be Shizuo. It also helps that he has Shizuo's strength.

Now what does Shizuo think about this? Who knows, maybe they both start messing with Izaya. And Izaya is just frustrated with whatever the hell is going on.

Plot Summary.

Shizuo becomes an assassin and uses a cover named, Ruby No Yubiwa. Izaya became a manga artist by the pen name of Toudaimoto Kurashi.

I don't have that many ideas for the story.

Plus Toudaimoto Kurashi is kind of like an Izaya if he had never met Shinra.

Plot Summary

Izaya was sold to the Oriharas by his mom, or he was kidnapped by the Oriharas when he was a baby.

So he had no idea that he was kidnapped and/or adopted.

Depending on which version it's either his grandparents were still looking for him, or his parents and grandparents were looking for him. And as a last resort they go to the media. Another thing they can do in their desperation to find him is go to a certain informant and that's how they find out the truth.

inspired by another fanfic as well as an episode of SVU. I'm not sure where the story would go. I think it would be an interesting idea if Izaya had a family he never knew about. how would he deal with that?

Izaya has a secret child that no one knows about. Not even his family.

Unfortunately the mother of the child went missing, leaving Izaya to raise the child on his own. Another unfortunate thing is that Ikebukuro learns that Izaya has a kid, and Izaya decides to hire Shizuo as a bodyguard to keep his daughter safe.

I'm not sure what to do with this story. I just think it would be interesting if Izaya had a secret child.

Possible shizaya?

Izaya wakes up injured and in an apartment that he doesn't recognize. Turns out the apartment is Shizuo's.

Unsure how he got there, Izaya tries to figure out what's going on and how he ended up in Shizuo's apartment.

Meanwhile Shizuo is trying to take care of Izaya and keep him from getting out of the apartment.

Every time Izaya is close to getting out of the apartments. Shizuo freaks out and stops him from getting out.

It almost seems like Shizuo is scared of something.

Erika and Kyouhei have made a bet. The bet is who is right about the nature of Shizuo and Izaya's relationship. If Erika is right. Or Kyouhei?

If Kyouhei is right and those two aren't in a romantic relationship then Erika can't talk about them being in love for one month straight.

But if Erika's right... Who Knows! I haven't really decided on that one.

Shizuo and Izaya are trapped in The Sims. (It's totally Shenra's fault for that one.)

Shinra keeps the two of them separated. He gives them their own rooms and different parts of the house he made with them just until he figures out a way to get them out.

Shizuo has his own space far away from the "Flea" and Izaya is far away from the "Protozoan." Why aren't they put on separate lots because Shinra wants them to stay in the same place so it's easier to get them out. But unfortunately (though fortunate for the reader) this will backfire for all three of them.

Because somehow Erika gets a hold of the game; she has no idea that it's the actual Shizuo and Izaya and proceeds to live out her Shizaya fantasies.

This is going to be absolutely chaotic and I love it.

So have you ever seen the show "The amazing world of gumball?"

Well if you haven't you don't have to for this all you need to know is that there was an episode where an obsessive yandere ice cream girl (this show is very weird) gets a hold of a fanfiction note? What's the fanfiction note, think of Death Note but instead of killing people it instead brought fanfiction to life.

Now imagine if Erika got a hold of such a book and all the stuff that would happen.

So it's up to Shizuo and Izaya to stop her because yeah it's all fanfiction about them together as a couple.

But will they be able to stop her before it's too late?

It's Erika's birthday and she's had a Shity Month! (Again blame Shinra for what's about to happen.) Shinra wants to be a good friend and make her birthday special so he decides it's a good idea to get Shizuo and Izaya into a relationship with each other.

At least that's one version. I just want a fic where Shizuo and Izaya are forced to pretend that they are in a relationship.

Erika Was Right!

I just want a fic where Kyouhei has an existential crisis because "Holy Shit Erika Was Right!" What was she right about?

Well obviously she was right about Shizaya.

Post katsu.

Izaya had a one night stand before the events of post ketsu with Shizuo.

This resulted in Izaya getting Pregnant.

He gives the baby up for adoption after they're born, the birth happens eight or nine months after post-ketsu.

(Also the years have been altered slightly, instead of the events of the anime taking place in 2010 and 2015, instead it would be 2008 to 2009.)

The baby is all grown up and he's strong and ill-tempered just like his dear old dad Shizuo.

And now he wants to find out who his parents are? Will he ever get the answer? Who knows?

Eri compilation. Six villain stories and six hero stories.

Have some ideas for this.

The bat family ends up in the marvel universe. Will they get back home?

I don't have very many ideas for this.

The Bat family ended up in the 2004 The Batman series. Bat family minus Bruce and Alfred.

I have no idea for this one either. Well I have one idea but that's kind of it.

Jazz Fenton is female Tim Drake.

She left her home dimension because of some stuff that happened. The thing that ultimately gets her to leave is when Dick tries to have her put into Arkham.

She leaves to another dimension and she ends up getting turned back into a child. She finds a little baby boy that was abandoned in a dumpster and she would name him Danny, later gets adopted by the Fenton's.

Izaya is heartbroken after getting rejected by Shizuo, so he leaves Ikebukuro. Shizuo regrets what he said to Izaya. So now Shizuo is trying to find Izaya.

Will Shizuo be able to find Izaya, will he ever get the chance to apologize for the hurtful things he said to Izaya. Or will it be too late.

FYI the stuff that Shizuo said to Izaya was pretty damn hurtful. Like a really brutal rejection. Even people who hate Izaya or think that Shizuo was being way too mean towards Izaya.

Durarara crossover with Backrooms.

Izaya gets trapped in the Backrooms.

Crossover with Durarara and the SCP Foundation. Shizuo is some kind of entity that broke into site 19. Izaya is one of the agents and he fights Shizuo. Shizuo decides after their fight "this guy is really hot." And wants to make Izaya his husband.

Izaya is given a love potion.

Anri and Izaya are siblings. Similar to idea one they don't know their siblings.

Might combine this with idea 18.

Sayaka (Anri mom) had Izaya when she was a teenager and gave him up for adoption. The Orihara parents adopted and raised Izaya.

Izaya and Shiki are Father and son. Shiki knows that Izaya is his son. But Izaya doesn't know that Shiki is his dad.

This idea could also be combined with 18.

And could even be combined with the previous idea.

A crack fic.

A fusion of a few ideas, 1, 18, 35, 36, and Shiki now has a bunch of kids. And all three of them have issues. lol.

Secret relationship series.

A series of fanfictions about Izaya and Shizuo being in a secret relationship with each other.

Izaya and Shizuo are too horny for their own good.

They do it in Shinra and Celty's apartment. Don't worry they did clean up most of the condoms, but there were a few they missed.

And they do it in a dumpster and they get caught by Simon. Well at least they're no longer fighting.

I'm sure if this idea is Canon to 38

Danny phantom and Gargoyles crossover.

Durarara but everyone are cats.

Shiki and Shizuo have a talk.

It's a shovel talk.

Possibly Canon 38.

Izaya gets the aged and turns back into a small child. And now Shiki and Akabayashi are taking care of him.

Inspired by another fanfiction.

Shizuo has the ability to control Izaya thanks to the caller around Izaya's neck. But he ends up going too far, and hurts Izaya really badly.

Don't worry there is no SA stuff in this one.

Wangxian (Lan Wangji x Wei Wuxian) - Listen, it's not one of the most popular popular ships on ao3 for nothing (67k+ works, wow!). I'm a sucker for these soulmate type ships and with these two you get like, ShB levels of emotional damage while going through it. AND LWJ'S SMILE! HOW CAN YOU SAY NO TO SOMEONE WHO LOOKS AT HIS HUSBAND WHILE SMILING LIKE THAT? (this is your daily propaganda to go watch/read mdzs or untamed)

2. Shizuo x Izaya - True love is throwing someone with a vending machine (lol).

3. RinHaru - I'm pretty much throwing a dart at the dartboard to pick the last one but during the rein of the swimming boys, I was pretty avid RinHaru fan. I've literally not interacted with the Free fandom in years tho, I've graduated the sports anime bl and moved on to sword bl (danmei) lol.

Currently watching: Second season of tgcf! I've managed to dodge spoilers beyond like, first book so far so I'm really curious to see how the story is going to go~

Misaki needed to open a window before she’d faint for good. She pressed on the ‘call’ button instead, a long beep droning in the receiver. Satin shorts were shining glossy in lamplight, the same that glinted off red coloured pedicure the moment she rested a leg over her knee. The room was coated in grit and quiet. The phone cold on her cheek.

She called Shizuo that night, at a few hours’ distance from her less pleasurable call; her head got heavier with each miserable sign of unanswered ring.

No? Misaki presumed, her foot relentlessly bouncing up and down. Guess not.

The beep stopped. Her eyes widened. Shizuo’s voice cut through silence, almost tripping over a yawn.

“What now?” He was bitter, plain, but she was in no place to judge.

“Calm your tits big champ I’m just checking on you.”

Izaya Orihara wakes up on a mysterious Island inhabited by creatures long extinct and creatures of myth.

He is shocked to find his rival shizuo that he hasn't seen in 3 years. He finds him as an old man in his fifties.

So he spends the next 10 years repairing the relationship with shizuo and figuring out what the hell happened, only for him to wake up again on a mysterious Island younger and with shizuo coming onto the island the very next day.

(Update, so at the time I posted this I didn't know as much about Ark lore. I did some research and I realize I had some things wrong, so it's not going to be exactly like how I mentioned it here.)

Two young girls come to the city of Ikebukuro to make a new life for themselves. They end up getting a bit more than what they bargained for, but a happy ending all the same.

Don't have very much for the story except the ocs end up adopting izaya and shizuo as their new parents. The ocs are similar to izaya and shizuo.

It's a Shizaya kid fic.

I write in third-person semi-lit to lit, but can write more or less depending on what my partner likes! I mostly use Discord for all my RPs.

I enjoy many genres, like angst, fluff, hurt to comfort, romance, slice of life, and others!

I have basically no triggers apart from excessive gore and graphic noncon.

Chapter 6

“Yeah, I cheated on her. Don’t get me wrong, I truly loved her. And even today I regret what I’ve done. I don’t know what’s gotten into me, really. But sometimes I feel that… I don’t know. That domestic lifestyle is so suffocating it leaves you without any air to breathe. That’s when you crave to be free once again, to put the strings aside. Do you get me, man?”

Shut up.

“It’s just that some of us cannot live our entire lives on a leash.”

For the love of God, would you shut up?

“Life’s meant to be lived, and spending it within four walls won’t do any better. I loved her, of course I did, so much did I love her, but I also felt kinda trapped by my commitment.”

Shut the fuck up.

“It’s genetics, I guess. A man isn’t made to live like this, he cannot bear such a habitual lifestyle.”

The glass shattered in his hands. All a mixture of sweet vanilla and blood dripping down to the floor. Slowly flowing below their table. Curious, petrified looks turned their way. A sigh came out from the man in striped suit jacket. The one sitting right in front of him. The one who actually knew what was coming next.

Shizuo turned his back from his companion and faced the impudent fellow customer all at once. Forcefully pulling him by the collar. He felt his voice raspy, a tremor coming out of his throat.

“You want some buzz in your life, huh? I have your fucking buzz right here.” He clenched his other fist. “You call that filthy cowardice of yours ‘love’, you little piece of shit? Look into my eyes and have the balls to repeat what you’ve just said one minute ago.”

Behind him, Tom was counting the banknotes he had previously taken from his wallet. The accuracy in his movements, the exact amounts he settled on, betokened an odd certainty regarding the immediate future. It was as if he was already told about the damage costs, as if he had been in this position countless times. Perhaps in this exact place.

The man hanging from Shizuo’s tightened grip stuttered.

“I-I-I don’t owe you any explanation, y-you h-hooligan! Let me go at once or I’ll put the police on your ba-!”

You really don’t know when to shut your goddamn mouth up.

He threw him through the mass of empty seats. His launch was vigorous and precise, just as one would drive a bowling ball with the purpose of knocking over a bunch of pins. In his particular case, wooden chairs and tables which eventually went into pieces at the collision.

He submerged in his anger, screams and gasping and the sound of broken wood, all of that apparent noise, a muffle climbing up to his tensed brain. He submerged, lately more frequently than before. Quicker than before.

He did not really know why his body would do this to him.

When people suffer from a burnout, they generally tend to fall into never-ending fatigue. Always so idle, with heavy thoughts furthering their lethargy to a degree they would not look or feel alive anymore. Yet there he was, mind standing in limbo, less and less able to concentrate, numbness devouring him inside and out, and his body would still be prone to violence. His body was admittedly restless at this point. Responsive to any agent of irritation. Thus, his mental exhaustion made him be more like a lion in a cage rather than a vegetable. The state he found himself in was nothing like a purgatory, a border between the blessed and the accursed, the dead and the living, as Shizuo had been already scorching in the flames of Hell for a long time now.

The two of them were distancing themselves from the café, leisurely walking while Shizuo was trying to bind his wounded hand with a piece of cloth. He thereafter gave a side-glance to a suspicious pair heading in the opposite direction. Both of them with their hands in their pockets, dressed in high-class suits. The additional jewels they wore, the roughened expressions on their faces, especially were to distinguish them from the regular executives in the streets.

Something did certainly not seem all right. Something was soon about to happen. That was what the shivers on his skin told him, in any case. He had felt them before, therefore he regretfully knew what they meant. An auguring of occurrences that he, by no means, would want to take part of. Which would soon consume the last drop of the peace he so desperately tried to spare.

Concern came out from Tom’s words.

“You sure you don’t want to have someone take care of that, buddy? Perhaps that underground doctor of yours or whatever.”

He was undoubtedly concerned.

About his wound. He did not seem to care about the two individuals, making Shizuo question whether his dubious hunch might have been just a result of mere paranoia.

He shrugged, a chuckle intertwining with his untroubled reply.

“Just a scratch, nothing to worry about. I’ve had worse in my life.”

“If you say so.” He sighed. “Christ, why’s that you always have to snap on Vorona’s days off?”

Why do you even care about when or how it happens?

The straightforward reality was that it purely and simply happened.

Since when have you started questioning it?

A smile drew itself across Shizuo’s features.

“Because she’d finished ‘em off right before I even got the chance to do it.”

Because that’s what she’s like, all right. Because when she was there, she used to be everywhere. Omniscient and omnipresent to Shizuo’s reactions, a skill she acquired by exploiting her impressive observant nature. She had a sharp eye especially on the little details, the things one would not possibly sense at first. Nosed around for every particularity in his behaviour, hence started to feel the violence hovering in the air long before it even happening. A brutality the two of them shared. In distinction to him, Vorona’s brutality would not cause any disturbance as she used to leave things clean. Quiet and prompt, but definite all the same.

When the woman tagged along, her hair a glossy plenitude of gold and sunflower petals, she would unexpectedly raise her guard up. Jumping on random people in all the random places. Cynicism in her voice while moving her hands towards their necks.

“Individual an impediment for Shizuo-senpai?”

“Registered disruption in Shizuo-senpai’s state. Source: identified.”

“Determine the feasibility for Shizuo-senpai’s perturbation. Optimal decision. Eliminate it.”

“Shizuo-senpai should not bother about such minor occurrences. Ignorance would be in his best interest.”

Tom moved his hands to his nape. Nonchalant talk echoed through the crowded boulevard.

“Yeah, maybe you’re right. Maybe this was one fortunate day and he doesn’t even know it. Such a pity we had to leave, though. Right when you were about to tell me abo- Shit!“

Steps hastily moving from behind. Weight aimed to his head within a heavy, sudden whack. His sunglasses fell off and shattered when meeting the ground. Sharp pain lancing through. His vision blurred, and so kept him stunned for a matter of seconds. Warm liquid flowing down his crown, the rest of it already soaked his bleached hair up. The tepidity of his blood was something he nevertheless reckoned as rather refreshing, a counter to the glacial numbness that engrossed his entire body.

A bloodstained bat stood in the striker’s trembling hands, a trace of tension hiding behind his apparent fiery tone.

“That’s what you get for fucking with the Dollars!”

Slightly confused, since a man would regularly fall unconscious after such a heavy, unexpected hit.

Not this one. Not him in the least. He was sturdy as a rock, all tissues and bones and muscles that were simply impenetrable. The strongest man in Ikebukuro, that was how the scandal magazines ended up calling him, was definitely someone not to play with, let alone to be chased with a baseball bat around the city. The one time someone tried to aim for his head, he hit the guy so hard his clothes fell off.

Merely standing, eyes buried behind his disordered hair as silence rose and eventually seized the whole atmosphere.

Blood drops slowly trickled to the concrete. Stained the whiteness of his bartender shirt.

Warm, crimsoned, fresh blood.

Repulsive scent of iron and sweat invading his senses. It nearly made him want to throw up.

I’ve had so much of it today.

The later events swiftly unfolded in his memory, making his throat vibrate in a quiet laugh.

“You see, Tom? There’s always room for worse.” Shizuo sluggishly raised his head. “Betraying, you say?” He whispered as he slowly moved his gaze to the assaulter. “Bros watch too many movies these days, and they suddenly start to feel so gangster. I’m getting tired of you all.” Clutched fists. And a look that kept the man in front frozen, hands getting red by how tightened he held his wooden weapon.

“You fill these streets with terror, behaving like you own ‘em, and you’re the one who’s gotten tired? You’re full of crap, pal!” He paused for a brief instant in order to look at the Shizuo’s injuries. “L-like really, how are you even human? You’re nothing but a monster, a betraying ass!”

“Shiz-“

“Spare me.” He cut his mate’s words off before quietly reaching to a mailbox. Raising it from the ground with one hand. Straightforward fury spilling in from the gleam in his eyes as he faced the man again. “Listen up here, you. The only betrayal you’ll have to deal with is when your ass will be so kicked up you won’t be able to take a proper shit anymore. I’ve honestly considered taking it slow with you, to turn a blind eye to the fact that you wouldn’t care if you killed me. But you’re talking like someone I truly despise and it pisses me off so fucking much.”

You’re nothing but a monster.

He was right in a way, that man; he could at least give him the credit for that. For he would not consider himself human either. One that should exist, whatsoever. One that should breathe and walk as he did, one that should have friends around. He pulled the smoke in, dragging on it as he blankly looked up. Then at his nearly healed hand.

A monster.

Dim yellow lights emanated from lampposts scattered all over the street. Complementing to the dusky, starless sky above. He was somewhere afar the centre area, hence isolated from the usual noise pollution. A quietude that managed to wash off a headache. To let himself fade away in the night’s absolute serenity. Just like burnt nicotine. Or melted sugar.

He opened his phone, checking out the location once again. Probably the fiftieth time he performed these movements. He thereafter stubbed out the cigarette, a low hiss below his foot. Opened the door and went down the stairs to what seemed to be a belowground pub.

As he was making his way through the lot of tables and seats, some indie music flooded his senses. Stillness and soft chords that definitely had Shizuo staggered.

“We have lots and lots to discuss, Heiwajima Shizuo. Matters that cannot be resolved over the phone I’m afraid.”

A line that would normally lead to darker joints and damper places. Shitty, shady, overly secluded bars. Filled with thugs and guns and heavy clouds of weed. He had been there before, his current job brought him all over to the most disgusting sides of this city. He had witnessed people shooting other people’s brains out, people stabbing people in the eye. Humid gore and slimy vomit, all spilt down to the floors of the properties of which thresholds he had crossed. But this? This felt oddly casual. Shizuo took the alongside seat. “I think it’s healed by now.” He murmured. He did not find any better answer, as he was admittedly tired of constant mind games or playing back some smart tongued line.

“Aren’t you the toughest man I have ever seen in my life. Let’s loosen up for a bit, shall we? Tell me about your day. How did you end up getting all beaten up and gloomy?” The words came out low and alluring. Hearty nonetheless, conveying a kind of frank playfulness.

A bartender approached them. He made his order and returned to her violin gaze. Fingers pounding onto the table.

“Thought there was something else you wanted to talk about.”

“It really is. But how can we get to the heart of the matter when you can’t even handle a bit of small talk?” Misaki heaved a deep breath, bringing her glass up to her mouth. She barely wetted her lips with the drink.

It took him thirty seconds straight to find the words for the right response. Heavy beats and violent hits as his nails nervously bashed into the wooden surface.

“I shattered glass with my right bare hand. Some punk tried to do a home run with my head. He broke my fucking glasses.” He uttered.

Short and to the point. Enough to please her curiosity, enough not to make his stomach tighten even more than it actually did at the time.

“And you broke his bones in return.”

“Yes, that’s exactly what I did. He was annoying.”

Icy-cold Jack Daniel’s just carefully placed in his own sight. He mouthed a polite “thank you”. Stared blankly at the brownish-yellow liquid, Misaki’s carefree giggle a reverberation inside his head.

“Well, wasn’t it just so fucking liberating?”

“Raging on the streets in plain daylight?”

“No, you crazy.” Her giggles soon burst out into a noisy laugh. Living seemed so easy when you had everything in the world. You and that gross fucker. You two royalties breathe the same plastic air. The cheerfulness in her chortle surely expressed it, but the grey-blue tone in her eyes told a way different story. He felt drawn to it. Curious about it. What can you possibly lack? When she finally recovered her breath, she continued her talk. Voice sweet and effervescent to the taste as an ice pop. “I meant talking. Doesn’t it feel liberating?”

“Everybody needs to slack off once in a while, I guess.” He murmured.

“Exactly! You’re a quick learner, I really dig that in somebody.” Misaki winked. “And so as to make our talk more and more enjoyable, did it make any big fuss? Beating that guy up. Did you have people gathering around you, any stirring audience?”

Shizuo raised a brow. “I’ve also knocked a man out inside a coffee house. That produced some bustle, yes. If you’d put it like that.”

“But you were really busy today, pumpkin.” She waited for him to finish his drink up. Hot bitterness flowing down his throat as her features gradually suberized. “And the one who attacked you, did he express his reasons for why he did it?” She hummed.

Shizuo scratched the back of his head. “He rambled some shit about me betraying the Dollars. From what I can remember.”

“Y’know, everything in this world is a product of cause and effect. That night, in Shinjuku, you and I really strangled that damned butterfly to the ground. Horrifying enough, it’s still there. Desperately fluttering its one remaining wing.” Misaki put an elbow upon the table, head leaning in one hand. Once full of sugar, her voice was now nothing but a husky, lowered sigh. “Did you know people started associating you with Toramarus?”

The man’s eyes widened. A sign of amusement curled upon his lips.

People. Scandal sucking people, always looking for a good gossip to hinge on.

“Do I look like a goddamn biker to you?”

“You look like a man who’d smash heads over a box of cereals.”

“As long as the rumour is out there, it materialises. It becomes your reality when you least expect it. What you’ve told me so far, it seems to me that today was a real rumour stabiliser.”

A flicker in her gaze made Shizuo believe she knew exactly what she was talking about.

“So? I couldn’t care less about ‘em. They could all just fuck off.” He droned.

“You don’t care, all right. But you gripped my attention enough for me to do it in your place. Not to mention my own head also depends on whether you decide to be all dramatic in the streets or nah.”

Misaki seemed slightly staggered by the boldness in his statement. She nonetheless twitched her lips into a grin. Low chuckle vibrating in her throat.

“My, don’t play me down like that. Let’s just say that we’re strongly connected with one another. Our very existence depending on each other’s humble…” She heaved a short breath. “Contribution.” You fucking sponsor them, you mean. You power-hungry bitch. “Money and intimidation. Intimidation and money. They make quite the pair, don’t you think honey?”

“And this room… is filled up with Toramarus. They’re all your nasty meat shields.” He scoffed, giving a side look thorough the bar. All of the apparent customers eyed him back. Nails pressed so hard into wood they nearly perforated it.

“I’m a very cautious woman. Although should they be your last concern now. Same with my so-vain doings.” The woman pulled her chair closer to him, light chink as fingers went around the glass. Her nails were a bright red, carefully done and overly polished. He could feel the warmth of the whiskey rushing up to his cheeks. “What you really need to know is that you’re in a bit of a tight spot right now. Both of us, I incline to say. Gasoline was spilt all over the town and it only needs a spark to ignite it. That spark is you, Heiwajima. Once you go boom.” A low whistle to mimic the sound of a bomb blowing up. “you wouldn’t be able to go back to normal anymore.”

He remained silent. Watched Misaki as she sloshed around the last drop of her bourbon. Glass banged loudly on the table. The nonchalance of her next words made his stomach turn. His head buzz with the beginning of a cursed migraine.

“Someone really wants to keep you on the go, you’d better not give ‘em too much of that satisfaction.”

Nails. Tightened on wood. Deep, violent scratches.
