I think it’s weird that people get really pressed when people don’t get the same interpretation of media.
Like yes, the original meaning is this
But if you didn’t know that and you got a completely different meaning, that doesn’t mean your interpretation is wrong
It’s just not the original meaning.
Like with the music, people almost constantly assign their own meanings to it. This doesn’t erase anything, it’s just how they are interacting with this song.
That’s not inherently bad, like they are making it out to be. That’s just human experience. You can definitely tell people the original meaning behind something, but please don’t shit on people for not immediately getting that.
