synopsis:

When homeschooler Aislin Keys crashes her sister’s prom, she knows it won’t end well. She’s always been a jump first, think later kinda gal, and it works out for her... most of the time. Gatecrashing her sister’s prom, is not one of those times. Instead of having a totally rockin’ night with her know-it-all sister, she spends her night sitting by one of her sister’s pretentious-and-annoying-but-kinda-funny classmate, Rory García.

And then she passes out in the punch bucket, because narcolepsy.

When she wakes up, Rory’s panicking, her sister’s threatening to call their parents, and everybody’s watching. So, she does what she does best: jump first, think later. In this case, it means kissing the nearest person (aka: Rory García, the guy she met fifteen seconds ago), and telling her sister that he’s her boyfriend.

synopsis (pt. 2):

Even before ‘mystery girl’ passes out in the punch, Rory García is having a crappy-ass prom. His date ditched him for her ex, his twin won’t shut up, and his English teacher won’t stop bugging him. He’s so done that he does the ultimate prom sin: he drinks the punch, with the company of a hilarious-but-annoying homeschooler.

It’s in the middle of a laugh that she passes out into the punch bucket.

She tells him that she has narcolepsy, right before she kisses him, and tells her sister that they’re dating. And then, to top it all off, she spins around and asks him if he’ll fake date her. It only takes a glance at his ‘date’ to say yes.

aislin keys: the poster child for disaster protagonists. a sixteen-year-old, ‘failed’ piano prodigy, who’s diagnosed with type 1 narcolepsy.

rory garcía: a reserved intellectual. a sixteen-year-old, super pretentious, and really freakin’ tall boi. loves english, and a total wannabe

saoirse keys: aislin’s sister. will cut u if u spell her name wrong. super supportive, and the Mom Friend™

declan garcía: rory’s twin brother

sasha adler: rory’s date, who ditches him for her ex.
