sort of silly but since da is coming back I've already seen Cullen Discourse TM

so I will say since idk if anyone is new and doesn't know: I'm a Cullen lover, romancer and my fave DA ship is him and my mage lavellan, Immy

I also like cullen x amell/surana I think it's a fun story to explore

I used to have a disclaimer + a link to my own personal arc I made for him so that I could "justify" him being okay for my mage lavellan but as time went I started to resent having to post a disclaimer so that ppl don't think I'm a ~bad person and can think critically of cullen when ppl who romance other (imperfect) characters don't have to so I took it off lol

I don't participate in that or mage/templar stuff anymore and I won't be bc it's both frustrating and tiring and my goal is to enjoy DA (yes it warrants legit crit but I don't do that here as it says on my pinned) and that includes Mr cullen ✌🏽

14. How do their personalities compliment each other? How do they clash?

Amihan x Nate - They're the two that's most similar out of all the ships honestly. They're both grumps lmao, and they have this thing of always wanting maintain composure, they also both feel deeply. They understand how each other's emotions can get intense.

They clash when it comes to being open with said emotions, especially affection. Nathaniel is a pretty open flirt in-game, so I imagine he's also pretty openly affectionate. Amihan is not and struggles with it a bit - something they had to deal with.

Amihan x Alistair - They are the epitome of opposites attract lmfao. Alistair's friendly, sweet nature encourages Amihan to be softer, and to find no shame in that. Amihan's more confrontational and blunt personality inspires Alistair to stand up for himself more (especially towards Eamon).

Their clash is actually the same as what compliments them honestly, when neither is being considerate about it. It irritates Amihan when Alistair doesn't take something seriously and jokes it off. It bothers Alistair when Amihan is too severe and refuses to show a bit of compassion.

Sinag x Fenris - ANOTHER case of opposites attract (can you tell I have a fave dynamic lol). Sinag is very loud and outgoing, Fenris tends to be aloof. In the beginning it was hard for them to get along, for A LOT of reasons. Fenris was distrustful of her already, and the fact that she was a little too loud for him was the icing to the cake.

Eventually though, once Sinag proved to be trustworthy, Fenris saw that she truly wanted everyone to feel like they belonged, that she genuinely wanted to care for them. In a way, it made him feel safe. Fenris being more on the practical side really helped Sinag be less reckless with her decisions and the way she handled things.

Cullen x Immy - LOL, yes more opposites attract. I've gone into entire dissertations about this, but Immy's compassionate nature and her lack of judgment really helped Cullen feel safe in being vulnerable again. Cullen's practicality and quiet and also helps Immy feel safe - that she has a rock and that he can be a refuge when her brain is running fast.

Their biggest point of contention is communication. Cullen has convinced himself he has to suffer alone, and this was something that cause stress to Immy. They both had to learn respective ways to communicate their needs.

57. Whose the serious one when grocery shopping and who likes to toss random things in the cart?

Amihan x Nate - They're both Very Serious about it. They'd both absolutely hate grocery shopping so they'd wanna be out of there as soon as possible.

Amihan x Alistair - Amihan is very very serious lol, Alistair will toss funny things he sees in the cart and give Amihan a puppy face when she gets grumpy lol

Sinag x Fenris - Sinag is the one throwing random things in there lol, ESPECIALLY snacks, and Fenris is telling her they have a budget for that week PLS REMEMBER

Cullen x Immy - They both made the list and are determined to only walk out with what's on it. Immy saw that there's Hello Kitty cereal. It goes downhill from there lol

12. Is there a wedding? What was the proposal like? Any kind of honeymoon?

YES. OF COURSE. The first time I played I was SO disappointed Josiemance didn’t get a wedding and my friend was like “Trespasser could never handle the wedding the Montilyets would throw” and she’s RIGHT.

Post-Trespasser Josie and Tala marry in Antiva - it’s a BIG CELEBRATION. It’s a split Andrastian (I’m assuming) and Dalish ceremony. Josie had Clan Lavellan take ships to attend the wedding (YES the whole clan). Tala’s uncle wove her this gorgeous Dalish wedding dress and when she went through the doors of the venue Josie burst into sobs.

The venue had to be elsewhere because the whole Lavellan Clan couldn’t fit into the Montilyet’s estate jfisdjficis

For their honeymoon Josie took Tala to their summer home by the ocean. No EXPENSE WAS SPARED FOR HER ESTRELLA.

38. What are they like in the bedroom? Any kinks/fetishes/turn-ons? Anything they won’t do?

djisjfid oKAY I don’t remember if it was here or twitter I made the joke about Tala writing Josie a letter about wanting to suffocate between her thighs but uh yeah Tala LOVES Josie’s thighs and she has hickies galore down there. 

Also speaking of letters, when Tala’s away on missions she and Josie write the most interesting letters lol. 

Josie does this thing where when Tala gets back she’ll slowly undress her and say all those nasty things she said in the letter in Tala’s ear hehehe

40. Any special memories? Do they have a special place they like to go to?

Lmao just cause Tala is a little reckless sometimes - whenever Josie thinks of the Western Approach she remembers when she realizes she fell in love.

Tala fought the dragon there, I forget what it’s called and she got fucked up pretty bad. Harding sent a letter back and Josie legit DROPPED EVERYTHING, yelled at Cullen to go with her, like ignored all the meetings with the nobles to go see Tala. Up until then she was sort of trying to deny she was in love because she was still scared and worried about the whole thing.

But when she got to the camp after a night of straight riding and pulled Tala into her arms she was like “Well shit yeah, I’m in love fuck”

26. How do their friends feel about their relationship? Their families?

LMAOOOOO so Immy actually dreaded telling Deshanna she fell in love with a shem. So she wrote to her dad first because her dad is the easiest and softest one and he was just like “Oh okay” and since by that time she reunited with her brother Iefyr her dad wrote to Iefyr like “So is that shem okay?” and Iefyr was like “Yeah”

Iefyr took a while to get used to Cullen, but they’re actually pretty similar so they began getting along. Iefyr just doesn’t have a stick up his ass lol

The Inquisition crew by the time they got together was Annoyed because it took those two idiots to goddamned long to get together so by the time they did everyone’s just like “FINALLY”

36. What’s their greatest strength as a couple? Their weakness?

Their greatest strength is their communication. They began as good friends first so by the time they got together romantically they pretty much had a good grasp on how to tell the other their needs and wants.

Their weakness is probably the crippling self-doubt they both have and it trickled into the early stages of their romance, a lot of “WHy do yOU lIKE ME” and it sort of made them second guess it initially, but obviously lol, it worked out.
