Coloured designs of Kunugigaoka's Five Virtuoso-like group of Girls

I've actually had the sketches for all five of these pieces saved in my gallery since last year June, and I felt like it would be a total waste to just leave them like that.

I find it entertaining to see how my sketches from last year would look with my current lineart and shading style. So I brought the girls back!

Note: The Five Virtuoso Girls as a group itself is canon and Sachiko is a canon character. But Zaina and I have made OCs for the remaining four girls - Satomi and Shiori belongs to her, while Senritsu and Setsuna are mine ^-^

Meet The Girls

This is an introduction fic to the OC “female virtuosos” that @fumiko-matsubara​ and I made here. I have no self-control and just had to write these girls. Senritsu and Setsuna belong to Fumiko UwU. Satomi and Shiori are mine. And Sachiko is canon!

“Will you stop that already?!” Senritsu Harukawa snapped, closing her compact mirror shut and glaring at the girl right next to her. “I’m trying to concentrate here.”

Sachiko Ookura raised an eyebrow, pausing her feet-tapping. She leaned back into her seat, crossing her arms. “Oh, my bad. Sorry to stop you from concentrating on your lip-glossing. Yeah, that’s so important. I should’ve known better,” She sighed sarcastically.

Senritsu glared at her as she tossed the lip gloss tube back into her bag. “Maybe if you decided to wear it once in a while...”

“Oh, no. We’ve been through this, Sen. I’m perfectly fine with colored chapstick, or lipstick if I’m dressing up.”

Senritsu pouted, earning an eye-roll from Sachiko. 

The two girls couldn’t be anymore different from each other, despite being such close friends. 

Sachiko was the embodiment of “girl crush,” her natural coolness far surpassing even Hiroto Maehara. She carried herself effortlessly, and was the star ace of the renowned Girl’s Soccer Team at Kunugigaoka. She had a mouth that moved even faster than her feet, witty and able to charm everyone.

She also had one of the highest numbers of past dates and boyfriends at their school. 

Senritsu, on the other hand, was spoiled, girly and prissy. Her long dark hair was curled perfectly everyday and cascaded down her back like a princess from storybooks. Her eyes were wide and watery, contrasting her hot-headed temper and attitude.

She never shut up about all the fancy, luscious, advantages she got in life. Her dad was the founder of a popular tea company, and she loved bragging about that as well.

Their friendship was an atypical one, for sure. But honestly, the entire friend group of the five of them was...unconventional.

The door suddenly flew open, slamming against the wall and alarming both of them. Shiori Kanemoto skipped inside, carrying a thick stack of papers under one arm. “I’m here!”

“Jeez, Shiori, what the hell?” Sachiko grumbled. “That scared me.”

Shiori paused, looking at it with newfound confusion as if she had never considered that. “Oh, oops. Guess I don’t know my own strength.” She shrugged, taking a seat besides them.

 Sachiko rolled her eyes. Girl, I know you’ve never worked out a day in your life. Strength, my ass.

“You almost broke the door!” Senritsu added.

Shiori smirked. “I’m sure you and your dad could pay to repair it if I did.”

Sachiko snorted while Senritsu dropped her head down onto her desk, muttering under her breath, “I give up.”

Shiori hummed to herself as she nonchalantly flipped through her papers. She was quite the anomaly. At first glance, she looked harmless with her pink hair, petite figure, and doll-like face. 

She was not harmless though. 

She was apart of the School Newspaper, and made it her mission in life to get information on everyone. She was involved in blackmailing, caught the most popular boys cheating on their girlfriends, exposed liars, bullies...

Nothing went on in Kunugigaoka without Shiori knowing.

“God, can you be anymore obnoxious?” A haughty voice voice chimed in, and the girls looked up to see an unimpressed Setsuna Kurokawa walking in.

She flipped her hair and scowled at Shiori. “No one else but you would enter a room so annoyingly and not even apologize.”

Shiori looked unfazed. “Sorry,” She said, not sounding like it at all.

Setsuna’s eyes narrowed, but she let it go, choosing to sit beside Sachiko. 

She was quite the imposing figure, with her top-notch grades and role as the President of the Gardening Club. Setsuna was a major perfectionist who could be a good leader, if it weren’t for her proud exterior. 

She was bossy, looked down on most people, and really would only listen to one student at their school. The same person all four girls would follow without a question-

“Where the hell is Satomi?” Sachiko sighed, tilting her head back tiredly. “These meetings are always her ideas!”

Senritsu shoved her, but it hardly hurt. She wasn’t exactly an athlete. “They’re our ideas! We’ve been doing these since First Year.”

“Yeah, but she did come up with them,” Sachiko argued.

Setsuna huffed. “We’re both late since Mr Council President wanted a meeting with all of Class A after lessons. And now Satomi is meeting with the other drama students.”

“Oh?” Shiori asked, raising an eyebrow. “What was it about?”

Setsuna crossed her legs with a grimace. “You know, the usual ‘Let’s work hard, succeed, and be elites.’ That spiel.”

“Hmm...” Of course.

“Hey, Shiori?” Sachiko suddenly questioned. “Watcha got there?” She frowned slightly at the stack of papers in front of the girl.

“Oh, just some articles I’ve gotta proofread,” She replied absentmindedly.

Senritsu wrinkled her nose. “Did you downgrade or something? Since when do you proofread other’s works?”

Shiori scoffed. “No way. I’m just doing this to bide my time before I start something new. I found some pretty interesting stuff.”

There was a pause as the others stared at her. “Well?” Senritsu demanded, her eyes lighting up. “Spill!”

Shiori smirked, resting her chin on her palms. “So...there’s something sketchy going on at the mountain...”

“The Class E Mountain?”

“Yep. Apparently, some students caught people in suits walking up with a bunch of massive briefcases. And they supposedly looked like government agents.”

Sachiko raised her hands. “Woah, hold up. I’m sorry, but that sounds totally made up.”

“But I heard it from four different students!” Shiori retorted.

“Yes, but why would something go on with 3-E?” Disgust was heavy in Setsuna’s tone.

“Who knows!” Shiori admitted, a smile tugging on her lips. “But it won’t hurt to try and find out, right?”

The girls looked wary. “I don’t know, Shiori. It sounds like it’ll just be a waste of time,” Sachiko said.

“Yeah, no need to spend a single breath of air worrying about something related to 3-E, of all things,” Senritsu added scathingly.

Shiori groaned. “You’re right, but I don’t know. Call it a sixth sense or whatever, but I just feel like I should go.”

“Don’t.” The girls snapped up at the sound of a new voice joining their conversation. It was light, airy, and husky, and belonged to the last person they’d been waiting on.

Satomi Miyake strolled in, an unimpressed look on her face. Her dark curls and makeup still looked perfect, despite it now being the end of the day. She held her head up high, distaste in her eyes as she approached her friends.

“Don’t even give a thought about 3-E. They’re probably just sitting and playing in the dirt,” she said carelessly. “They’re supposed to be putting extra effort into their studies...why would anything exciting happen with them?”

The girls laughed in agreement. Shiori looked down, deciding to just give up. “Yeah, you’re right,” she admitted with a crooked smile.

Satomi dropped her bag down on a desk. “Of course I am.”

She stood tall already at 168 cm, but was even taller with her expensive designer heels. Even without that height, Satomi Miyake looked down on almost everyone, from her spot at the top of the food chain.

She was the star actress of the drama club, having gotten a lead role several different times. Most of the boys at Kunugigaoka would do anything for her. She was popular for her beauty, fashion, good grades, charisma...

And her cutthroat attitude. Anyone who tried to get in the way of her position at the top...well, their junior high experience got ruined. Satomi always found a way to keep people in place. And it was with the help of the four other girls she called friends.

“Hm, ‘don’t worry about 3-E’ you say?” Setsuna asked with a smirk. “I’d like to hear you repeat that next time I catch you staring at Sugino at an assembly.”

Satomi scowled, tossing a pencil at her, while the other girls “oohed” in interest. “I was not, but whatever. Believe what you want.”

“Okamoto said you were.”

“Why are you listening to him?!”

Senritsu cackled. “You’re getting off-subject! You were staring at Sugino!”

“I thought that whole thing was done and over with,” Shiori asked slyly, edging closer to the growing-flustered Satomi.

“It was never a thing!” She argued. “We were just...friends.” The last word was a soft mumble that was barely heard.

“Sorry, say that again?” Sachiko asked in mock seriousness, placing her hand near her ear as she scooted closer. “Didn’t quite catch that.”

“Me neither,” Setsuna chimed in innocently.

Satomi cleared her throat and jumped up, standing before the girls. “Anyways, we’re meeting here partly for fun, but mostly so I can remind you of some important things.”

The other four sat up straighter, watching her with mixed curiosity and apprehension.

“We’re in the 3rd year now. This is the last time we have together before our graduation and high school starts.”

She began pacing the room while the girls looked down slightly. “I know none of us want the next months to be filled with stress, exams, worry, any of that. We can handle academics on top of establishing our place at the highest spot in this school,” she spoke confidently, flashing them a smile.

She stopped, standing closer to their desks. “This is our year, dammit,” she declared. “It has to be the best. And nothing is gonna take it away from us.”

“Yeah!” The girls cheered, exchanging looks of triumph with each other.

“We should make a bucket list and everything,” Sachiko suggested.

“Yes!” Senritsu agreed, twirling her curls. “We should go skiing again.”

“And that beach resort we wanted to go to last year!” Shiori chimed in.

Satomi smiled casually, tucking her hair back in before she picked up her bag. “We can do whatever we want,” she stated decisively. “Now who wants to get manicures and bubble tea?”

This was going to be the best year of their Junior High experience.

Everything was going to be perfect.

Heroines Protect the Racetrack in Hairpin Double Short Form Anime

  Okayama International Circuit - a motorsports racetrack in Mimasaka, Okayama Prefecture, Japan - is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the creation of an original short form anime entitled Hairpin Double that features racing-themed heroines and direction by one of the directors of the New Initial D anime film series. The main staff for Hairpin Double includes:

  The main cast for Hairpin Double includes:

    M・A・O as "Red" / Azumi Shibukawa.

     Hisako Kanemoto as "Blue" / Kyouko Usui.

  Shiori Izawa as "Green" / Eri Yokosuka.

    And Reina Kondō as "Pink" / Hina Kawai.

  Additionally, voice actor Ryō Horikawa plays the role of Ken Horibe, the race control operator (not pictured).

  The story of Hairpin Double is set at the Okayama International Circuit, a racetrack known for its two hairpin curves, on a typical race day where the circuit staff are working and the idol unit PaRet is performing on-stage. Suddenly, the racecourse is attacked by mysterious monsters intent on raiding the Mimasaka Liquid, a fantastical energy source located 900 meters beneath the racetrack. To protect the spectators and the staff, five young ladies transform into a superhero team.

  Hairpin Double is scheduled to be released in the fall season of 2021.

Aoi Yuuki, Asami Shimoda, Marina Inoue, Megumi Han and Yukari Tamura are the only women I’ve found so far that play both male and female characters. 2. Listen to the differences between Taishi Murata’s characters. His range never ceases to amaze... the only English voice actors with similar ranges (that I know of) are Ben Diskin and Sean Chiplock. 3. On the female side, Umeka Shouji has a surprisingly large range. I’ve mostly heard her play deeper-voiced roles, and then Corona shows up... 4. I love Hiro Shimono’s evil laugh. He doesn’t go all out with Loki, but he sounds like an insane seagull when he does. 5. As a mythology fangirl, I’m a little annoyed by all the changes. Frey, Mani and Vali are supposed to be male; Skuld is supposed to be a Norn (with Verdandi and Urd); Hel, Fenrir and Jormungand are supposed to be Loki and Angrboda’s kids; Idun is supposed to be Bragi’s wife; Thrud is supposed to be Thor’s daughter and Magni and Modi his sons. I’ll update this “lore correction” once I find more characters.

C'è stato un tempo in cui c'erano ninja al servizio di potenti, assunti per missioni di spionaggio, sabotaggio o assassinio. Anche se i tempi sono cambiati,i loro servizi sono ancora richiesti. Asuka, Katsuragi, Hibari, Ikaruga, e Yagyuu sono cinque studentesse shinobi dell'Accademia Nazionale Hanzou, ciascuna con una propria tecnica segreta.

El Anime ‘Lostorage conflated WIXOSS’ se retrasa hasta 2018

También se anuncia el nuevo proyecto de Anime ‘Lostorage conflated WIXOSS -missing link-’ 

La cuenta de Twitter oficial del proyecto multimedia de WIXOSS ha reportado el sábado que el próximo Anime para televisión de Lostorage conflated WIXOSS, ahora se estrenará en algún momento del 2018 en Japón. El Anime estaba programada para debutar en otoño del 2017. 

La cuenta de Twitter también anunció que un nuevo proyecto de Anime titulado “Lostorage conflated WIXOSS -missing link-” tiene luz verde para su producción. El Anime será incluido con la edición limitada de la próxima expansión del juego de cartas original que será lanzado el 14 de de diciembre como una OVA. 

El episodio 12 y final del Anime para televisión de Lostorage incited WIXOSS, anunció primero el proyecto de Lostorage conflated WIXOSS en diciembre del año pasado, pero no especifico en ese momento de que se trataría el mismo. Lostorage incited WIXOSS se estrenó en octubre del 2016.

Summary: Recently becoming a D-Rank Regular meant there would be more to learn about, Maehara concluded after a talk with the dodgy Scout of Team DREAM.

"Is that a flying warship?!"

"Yep."

Maehara stared at the approaching ship in amazement. Its size alone is large enough to cover half of the wide open field before them. "Wow..."

He turned to the pink haired woman next to him. "Where'd you all get it?!"

Kanemoto Shiori, one of the Scouts of Team DREAM, simply stared back blankly in contrast to the Lightning user's excitement.

"I stole it."

Maehara blanched. "How?!"

"I'm a Scout, man," Kanemoto nonchalantly waved him off. "Hijacking into accessible machinery and transport is just the bare minimum of what I usually do."

She faced the landing warship again, arms crossed. "Besides, flying ships are expensive in general. You've gotta invest in one for your team in order to travel around the higher Floors since there are less land there."

A small smile graced her face. "Thankfully, a team on the 40th Floor is stupid enough to leave their warship completely unattended."

"I-I see. ."

"But considering the huge number of members in your team, you all can just collectively save up points to purchase a flying ship big enough for 30 people at most," Kanemoto thoughtfully said. "No need to steal one. In our case, we were just in a hurry."

Maehara forced out a smile. "That's good to know..."

He then returned his gaze towards the warship, still marvelling at its large size and appearance. He hasn't been in a flying ship before, as their team had only been travelling by land and teleportation throughout their climb so far, and he would be lying if he said he wasn't curious how this one in particular looks from the inside.

"If you're thinking about going inside of that one now, I suggest you stop thinking," Kanemoto pointedly interrupted his train of thought. "They're just here to drop off supplies and will leave again soon."

She narrowed her eyes at him. "And we'd rather not have you getting lost inside the ship just cause you wanted to check out the rooms."

"I didn't even say anything..." Maehara muttered, pouting almost. "Where do they even go? I thought you guys were on a break."

Kanemoto raised an eyebrow at him. "The break was only prompted because Tsuchiya had a burn out after we cleared five Floors in just few months, since she was the one who had sorted everything out for us to clear the floors much easier," she explained. "Yes, all of us were physically exhausted but a month is more than enough for all of us to recover."

She turned back to the warship, its entrance finally opening. "But for now we're just restocking supplies and training to gear up for when we continue our climb. That's why we've had Fukiyose, Masato, and Terushima for the stuffs since they know their way around the floors the best among all of us."

She returned her gaze towards Maehara once again. "I personally wouldn't mind you helping them out, to be honest. But their next destination will be at the 44th Floor so..."

"Yeah I can't go anyway, I get it," Maehara sighed in disappointment. Travelling inside a flying warship would have been so cool though.

Kanemoto stared at him for a moment. With a mildly amused smile, she gestured towards the ship. "You can help them out with carrying the supplies to the house if you want, Maehara-kun." She suggested. "They might be needing more manpower than usual and I don't particularly trust Fukiyose with the heavy work."

She swore she could see his eyes sparkling in excitement almost childishly at the offer.

"Right!" With a bright grin on his face, Maehara dashed towards the warship immediately.

Kanemoto gazed at his retreating figure thoughtfully, the gears in her brain already racking up new ideas. With a small satisfied smirk, she turned her back and walked towards the front door of their residence.

She supposed having another delivery person wouldn't hurt.

A/N: Kanemoto Shiori is one of Zaina's OC, who is from the canonically hinted group called the Virtuoso Girls, which we have made four other OCs out of.

I've decided to add her in Team DREAM's line up simply because Zaina and I have joked about her and Eiji (Fukiyose) being a formidable Shitty Duo in Kunugigaoka. With Eiji's talent to encounter and escape trouble, and Shiori's information gathering skills to blackmail people and influence their public reputation, what else is a better idea than them being the Scouts of their team?

Flying Witch Manga Release Summons Limited Edition Audio Drama CD

  Do you believe in magic? Well, I hope you do, because the cast for the Flying Witch TV anime has reunited for a 27 minute audio drama CD that will be included as a pack-in bonus for the special edition Japanese release of Volume 08 of the Flying Witch manga. The audio drama CD features a screenplay by Deko Akao, and the voice cast includes:

  Minami Shinoda as Makoto Kowata.

Eri Suzuki as Chinatsu Kuramoto.

Shinsuke Sugawara as Kei Kuramoto.

Shiori Mikami as Nao Ishiwatari.

Kana Aoi as Akane Kowata.

Mari Hino as Inukai.

Yuka Iguchi as Anzu Shiina.

And Hisako Kanemoto as Hina and the Magical Fire. 

  The story of the audio drama follows Chinatsu Kuromoto, who is anxious to celebrate her "First Magic Day Anniversary" as part of her training to become a witch. In her haste to master magic quickly, Chinatsu opens an enchanted chest and unleashes what was kept within, resulting in her "First Magic Day Anniversary" being unexpectedly lively.

    The original Flying Witch manga by Chihiro Ichizuka is serialized in Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine, and an English language version is also available from Vertical, Inc.. The Flying Witch TV anime is directed by Katsushi Sakurabi and features animation production by J.C. Staff. Crunchyroll describes the story of Flying Witch as follows:

  Aomori, Japan In a land blessed by nature’s bountiful beauty, bizarre things begin to take place. Makoto Kowata, 15 years old, is a professional witch. She left Yokohama with Chito, her black cat, to live in the house of her relatives in Aomori. This is where she begins to train as a witch. A preview of Kunugigaoka's Five Virtuoso-like Group of Girls

Lately, @flamingo-strikes23 and I have been VERY salty about Matsui's fucked up "Beauty = Good" logic in assclass in general. We hate it and we want to completely ignore it. To do so, we decided to make OCs for the rest of the virtuoso girls, with Sachiko being the only named canon one.

Harukawa Senritsu

The "Seo Tomoya" of the Group.

"She is a spoiled ojou-sama who always brags about her father's business. Because the tea she brings to school are of high quality, other club-less students, despite their dislike of her, couldn't say no to her afterschool tea party invitation."

Kanemoto Shiori

The "Araki Teppei" of the Group.

"She’s part of the Newspaper Club, and is known for having dirt on everyone. No one is exempt from her snooping.”

Miyake Satomi

The "It-Girl of Kunugigaoka".

"She's a well-known member of the Drama Club. Popular for her charisma and fearless attitude. She’s unapologetically established her place in the social hierarchy."

Ookura Sachiko

The "Sakakibara Ren" of the Group.

"The ace of the Girls' Soccer Team. She outranks everyone in school, especially the boys, when it comes to radiating 'natural coolness'".

Kurokawa Setsuna

The "Koyama Natsuhiko" of the group.

"She's the president of the Gardening Club. Known for being fussy about what her members should and shouldn't do, it's always her time to shine whenever Class E gets punished for being late at school asssemblies. She greatly despises her title."

Fukiyose Eiji (吹寄 英二) ー causing trouble for others and himself because of his unpleasant tongue; an audacious prick indeed!

Tall, good-looking, and gets good grades; he could have been considered as an ikemen if it weren't for his liking towards provoking people for fun.

He is un-athletic and hates sports with a burning passion. The kind of excuses he makes to avoid participating in any physically demanding event is an ongoing concern among the teachers.

He is, however, very diligent and gets the job done, but still has a lot to say. You can expect him to dutifully fulfil tasks given to him while loudly complaining about it at the same time. Chiba Ryuunosuke is usually on the receiving end of his passionate complaints, and it pisses him off.

Anybody in Kunugigaoka who had come across him either finds him annoying or might consider attempted murder.

He and Shimada Miho are the founding members of D.R.E.A.M, one of the bands formed in the school's light music club. But aside from writing lyrics, Eiji avoided being given any sort of responsibility within the band - band leadership was pushed onto Chiba, and club presidency was transferred to Miho.

Tsuchiya Kaho was initially mildly interested in him... until he opened his mouth. Since then, Eiji is usually on the receiving end of Kaho's wrath whenever he sets her off. He had no choice but to always cross paths with her since she is best friends with Miho.

He and Kanemoto Shiori are partners in crime. He is her frontsoldier while she exposes any Kunugigaoka student she has dirt on behind the scenes. If things go south, Eiji is there for a reason.

He is the easiest to blame for any slight inconvenience because he tends to dig his own grave even further.

By the 2nd semester, Chiba had temporarily kicked him out of the band for about 16 times.

Because of all the questionable things he had been doing the past three years, a good number of students believe that he might be gay.

At one point, Nakamura Rio was convinced that he is Chiba's secret boyfriend.

Chiba still hadn't forgiven him, and probably never will, for what he did in their 2nd year.
