4Men’s Shin Youngjae and Davichi’s Lee Haeri release duet song “Your Empty Place” for collaboration album “Acoustic Project #1”

Joining their voices for the duo album “Acoustic Project #1,” 4Men’s Shin Youngjae and Davichi’s Lee Haeri released their very first song for the project, “Your Empty Place.”

True to its name, the song is acoustic and melodic, combining both voices in a seamless way. As the song is centered on the concept of clouds, the cover image for this song shows a black-and-white doodle of a small couple safely hidden under an umbrella from the impending rain. Fully dressed in raincoats and boots, the few plants around them get drenched from the huge cloud, while the couple is safe and sound.

However, the song is a mellow ballad about a breakup, which centers around the conflicts involved with letting someone go and standing strong on their feet once more. Considering the image is black and white, the track can be seen as a reminiscent view of the past, mixed in with a desire to go back, as well as move on.

This collaboration album project was created by composer Choi Kyusung, who is famously known for writing not only dance tracks, but also BEAST’s “On Rainy Days,” Huh Gak’s “Hello,” Noel’s “I Miss You, I Miss You,” Davichi’s “Because I Miss You Today,” and more. Other singers are said to have joined him personally to create the tracks for this project, contributing distinct styles that will makes this album a cut above.
