Thoughts on BSD episode 4 because I made a lot of incoherent noises during its runtime (courtesy tag for @crowatyourwindow)

-My heart is rapidly warming up to Atsushi! The way he cried at the end of the episode, sweet bean 😭😭❤️ -Dazai please shut the fuck up ‼️ every time you appear on screen you inflict irreparable psychic damage, like your stupid (affectionate) double-suicide song which I now hum to myself (shinju wa, hitori de wa, dekinai~ 🎶)

-And that’s your clue that I’m actually watching this subbed! Surprising, I know 😅. English Akutagawa is iconic, and max mittelman of course does a good job with atsushi, but also everyone sounds sort of silly too. In my eyes, the eng voices work better in wan!, which is meant to be comedic. So JP voices it is! I vibe with them

There’s a song that my brain has dedicated to Dazai which I also listen to casually, so every time I happen to turn on the playlist it’s in, I’ll just be going about my business and suddenly the dazai song will come on and I’ll have to momentarily stop everything I’m doing to hold my head in my hands and feel the entire spectrum of human emotion in the course of a couple minutes. Then I will go back to my life and pretend nothing happened.
