in a way I’m glad the dcmk movie 27 went down the way it did because it successfully killed any hyperfixation-motivated-desires to see it. I have exams every day of the week for the rest of April and the first half of May, so yk, divine providence! Maybe!

i loved those fics you recced! very fun, especially conan and bruce interacting, that was really cute :) i was wondering, who are some of your favorite batman characters? i really love dick, damian, and jason on the hero end and harley and scarecrow on the villain side :) i just think they’re Neat haha
also, what are some of your fav relationships in detco? i’m actually pretty new to the fandom and haven’t met everyone yet, but i love the dynamic between shinichi (or conan) and. uh. everyone i guess i love the way he interacts with them as conan esp kogoro and ran’s friends lol he really decided to cause problems on purpose almost every day

Anyway, I love all of Gotham's heroes pretty much equally... because most of my love is reserved for the villains. In that department, the Joker (because no matter how hard his edgelord fanbase and DC's own writers run him into the ground, page for page a well-written Joker is still one of the most entertaining baddies on the market) and Two-Face (over a decade of hanging out with @about-faces has me sold on his potential to be the most morally complicated figure in Gotham, if not the whole DCU) constantly vie for the top, with Riddler, Penguin, and a couple other "classics" trailing decently close behind.
(Sidenote: I hate pretty much every Bat-villain invented after the '60s, but I make exceptions for Killer Croc and the Ventriloquist. In fact, I think the latter was the first villain I ever hyperfixated on.)
Ah, it's always nice to meet a newcomer to DCMK fandom! How far along are you in the manga/anime? (I ask because - as much as I love the classic Shinichi/Conan-Kogoro-Ran dynamics - a lot of my other favorite dynamics might well involve characters you haven't met yet. Don't want to set off spoilers under your feet. 😅)
Oh, and have you started reading any fics for the series yet? Picked out a favorite?
