It's not hard to imagine what the two sisters went through.

Miguel himself had been ostracized from 'modern' society, ironically mostly those that had mass-converted to a religion that preached love and acceptance. His mother was called everything under the sun: Liar, swindler, whore. His father became more respected since he had the 'decency' to die fighting for civil rights overseas, as though social activism circles weren't ever toxic or too focused on in-fighting against other people of color in regards to who has suffered the most indignities.

He could remember the hot sun against his back, the taste of dirt and dust. Having the wind knocked from his lungs as another teenager's shoe drove itself into his gut and bare fists rained down on his scalp. The defacement, the scorn, harmful gossip poisoning a community that once was unified against colonialism- Now bent at the knee for what? A paltry sense of moral superiority? Salvation?

As much as he and his family were hated, when it came to curses, even the most vitriolic of nay-sayers would suddenly ask for aid. As though years of thrown rocks and other abuses could be forgotten.

But they exorcised the curses. Not for acceptance nor gratitude, but because it was the obvious solution. When a curse is plaguing a household, you do not leave them to their own devices due to revenge or perception of justice served.

But he still held onto that- The hate. It grew and it festered and boiled over until even the suggestion of ridding the world of non-sorcerers began to sound sane. The concept went down sweet like honey and a pleasant warmth began to spread where a roiling knot of complicated emotions once haunted his core.

He'd never been left wanting for family. Not blood relatives, anyway. But this thing he had with Suguru's group had changed over time. A sense of closeness and the illusion of closeness. Of trust. As if Geto was prepared to capitulate to every condition that Adisa presented in order to beckon him into his fold.

These two, though... They had never once been touched by a kind hand in childhood. Every child deserved unconditional love, no matter what the circumstance. A chance to make mistakes and learn and not be weighed down by the world's sins every waking second.

He gave in to every demand, anything their hearts desired. But one could never call them 'spoiled' nor 'undeserving' of all the little joys that life had to offer.

Perhaps it was for them, not merely himself, that he'd stayed.

&. yet he can hardly make himself look away. All Might’s hand clasps his back and it’s barely a feather - weight in his unusual, decrepit form. It was still alarming to see him that way, even though it’s been years since he’s come out about his condition. Enji remembers him in high - school, the way he used to radiate strength &. resilience; the way no task was insurmountable to All Might. FOR HE WAS INDOMITABLE.

It was practically made for someone with my quirk. ❜ AN UNCONTAINED HOUSE FIRE, with flames able to lick but not bite Enji’s skin due to his own flames, it felt like walking into a lukewarm bath. It was unsalvageable room after unsalvageable room — victims &. cats &. even a sugar glider. It felt charismatic &. stereotypical. NOT USUALLY ENJI’S SCENE.

All Might’s hand does not leave like he expected it to. Fury unbridled comes hot &. alive, but Enji snaps his teeth shut within his mouth with an audible click. All Might pushes his buttons until they’re ruined; he will not let him win this time. 

❛ All Might, your — ❜ Enji’s voice is so exquisitely controlled that it’s very clear he’s near the breaking - point. ❛ No, never mind. ❜ It’s hard to imagine that the one - day Endeavor would FINALLY REACH THE TOP OF THE MOUNTAIN, it was only because All Might was forced into retirement. It burns him alive, but he can’t find it in him to blame All Might his weakness, condition &. the fallibility of humankind. 

All Might is just a man. Though it makes Enji sick. It feels just days ago All Might was a god to them all; such bounds beyond that Endeavor could only be touched by his smoke, re-igniting in his wake.

Sennetsu <- more of a drama than a romance. FL is 19 and a bit on the naive side- but its meaningful in the context of the character dynamic the story presents. conveys the experience of being attracted to a grimy dude for the first time. translation status is kind of up in the air

ooogh i want to post all my fave haru nemuri songs but thats basically her entire harutosyura album. ill let the demons consume me here we go. cecil mentioned harutosyura so that means i need to listen to the entire album again.

the dissonant sound in this is really nice. its a sound featured throughout the whole album so its fitting that its in the title given track. this song has a lot of unexpected bits, like the sped up parts, and the talking/slow parts. i love how after the talking bit, the guitar and dissonant sound ramps up, and it builds into her usual tone. and it isnt a haru nemuri song without her yelling. this song is really good and representative of her general sound. definitely a good place to start if youre getting into her music. well, i recommend the harutosyura album as a whole as its my favorite from her and has most of my fave songs.

this song is also a very good one representative of haru's sound, with the guitar and yelling. i love the guitar near the very end, its fantastic.

i really like the oooh ooohs and ah ah ahs in this. the ah used as an instrument reminds me of this one yttd song. i like how this song builds up into AH AH AH sekaiwotorikaeshiteokure baby. this album is just banger after banger. the final chorus is the best in my opinion.

this song can fly under the radar since it has less intense instruments, but i love harus raps on it. harus lyrics always sound great.

i love when she has repetition in her songs. heres another dissonant sound but not the same as the first two, its more synthesized. the lyrics on this song flow well and its one of the chiller songs on the album except for the end when it picks up.

i like how fast haru raps, and the insistent tone of her voice. this song has a lot of emotion in it, and i admire how fast haru can rap and have each syllable so distinct.

everybody loves this song. the grungy guitar in the beginning sets a tone for the rest of the song, and then the twang sets in. the chorus is so great, theres some other guy singing which i dont like but i love haru slowly gets louder and louder until shes yelling like usual. and that devolve into screams. if this was live thats the perfect place to smash your guitar on the ground.

this song just fills me with motivation. makes you want to spread your metaphorical wings. a good song to headbang and jump around to.

what i consider the most popular haru nemuri song even though thats probably not true. one of my faves for sure, its a great example of her style and my personal fave off the harutosyura album which is an incredibly difficult decision. i love how her tone builds, from calm, to insistent, to eventually screaming. the repetition is good as well, i love singing along to the distortion distortion distortion. when she screams narashite its my favorite part. i love how her emotions always show in her singing.
