"Ngghh..."
Tumblr media
The screams never go silent, the whispers only get louder. His skin burns, head aches under the weight of those horns. Truly, Celestial knew the greatest ways to punish his children and Gabriel was no exception.
Make it stop. Somebody. Anybody.

"We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race, and the human race is filled with passion." (for ebbil gabriel)
Gabriel stared at the old man before him, expression unfazed as he thought about it. The human race was much, much different from his own kind. Not necessarily in a bad way, yet in a way he often failed to understand. Growing up among other Angels and Archangels alike, he had little to no experience with humans - the only case being when he was purposefully sent down to Earth to redeem himself.
However, something about his words was different than usual human gibberish. He's got a point; for once, it was something Gabriel could understand. Stretching his wings lightly, he leaned forward just a little, looming slightly over the human as he took a closer look at him. Art was something both humans and Angels could understand. Delightful thought.
"I cannot deny that." he replied simply, shaking his head lightly. Perhaps art was what connected humans to Angels. While most divine creatures adored the human race, some angels and spirits weren't as enthusiastic. In Gabriel's lineage lays a slight doubt, something likely passed from Gabriel before him; the human race could be as destructive as it was creative.

"Many of your human creations raise no interest in Heaven, but I have to admit, that we admire the art, both painted and in written word. Many take inspiration from it." Gabriel said softly, his voice slightly hushed. It wasn't a lie, either, even if Heavenly and Earthly art was much different.
