You whimpered, eyes churning in discomfort. Putting the cup back on the table, you sighed. Burning your cat-tongue on brewing hot tea was an absolute beautiful way to start the day, sarcasm seating itself on your unspoken thoughts.

You stuck your tongue out, just the slightest bit to let air hit the brewed spot, waving some in its direction by waving your hand up and down in quick motions. Much to your dismay, you will have trouble properly tasting certain things for a while.

Heizou was right there by your side, putting his own cup of tea aside to observe you. When you burnt your tongue, he was lightly chuckling at your clumsiness, although immediately shifting to an expression of care, asking if you’re alright.

“You alright?”

“Yeah, it’s just a bit numb.” you replied gently.

At the sight of your tongue out in the open, an idea sparked in that brilliant mind of his. Inching closer to you, much closer so that now you felt his hot breath against your skin, you heard him speak.

“Let me try to soothe it.”

Bringing his lips to your pink tongue he kissed it lightly, then licked it, and soon enough trapped it in between, sucking on it. You tried to retract it in surprise, just giving him what he wanted as he now locked his lips with yours and swirled his tongue over your own. Finding his loose hand you wasted no time intertwining fingers with him, the free one finding the crook of his neck to pull him closer.

His lips were soft and supple, coated by your mixed spit and the lingering taste of the sweet tea he had sipped on triumphing over the bitter one that yours had left.

Small sounds of pleasure escaped your throats, muffled by both heavy and hungry kisses that made your bodies burn with desire. Only a thin string of saliva connected one and the other when you parted lips for a final, each heavily panting and the air thick with lingering lust.

“You’re right, it feels much better now.”

You leaned in to kiss him again, this time parting just after a few seconds, only to join his glistening, swollen pink lips once again less than a second after.

You were surprised when he told you he’s a streamer. How does he have time to fit that in with his busy job??

Well he manages, and you followed him embarrassingly fast once he told you his name on Twitch.

Tuning into his streams brings you so much joy. His community is really chill albeit super horny and you’ve found that you fit right in.

His Twitch name is Cyclone and he calls his  chat ‘His detectives.’

You eagerly open up Twitch once you get the notification that Heizou has gone live. “Hello, my little detectives. Have any new leads for me today?”

The way you clutched your chest as your heart skipped a beat.

Swoon.

One time he told chat when he’ll go live just to go live an hour earlier. What was he doing that whole hour? Just chatting. Chat asked Heizou any question they wanted and he answered. Too bad for the majority that only a handful of chatters showed up, including yourself.

Once more people started flooding in, Heizou ended the stream to delete the Vod before he began a new stream at his usual time.

To say chat was flabbergasted is an understatement.

What was discussed has surprisingly been kept under wraps to this day. It’s a secret kept between you and the other chatters present that day, and as a result the few of you that were present became closer.

You guys love to tease the detectives about it sometimes.

After Heizou told you about his stream he made you a mod and introduced you to the community. Chat welcomed you with open arms but that didn’t make it any less embarrassing for you.

One thing you pick up on pretty quick is how much he HATES backseat gaming. He has explicitly given you instructions to ban people who backseat game after one warning. He has even gone out of his way mid game to pull up chat and ban backseat gamers.

One time he got so mad he was visibly raging on stream which resulted in you crying tears of laughter, but you don’t tell him that.

You’re surprised when you find out you’re only one of three mods on his channel. Who are the other two?

One goes by ‘TheOneAndOnikabuto’ and they’re a bit… chaotic. You two have executed  numerous pranks and trolls on Heizou, but he lets you two get away with it.

The other mod isn’t there as often but they’re super chill and dependable. They ban with a swiftness so sometimes you don’t even finish reading the problematic message before the person’s banned. They go by ‘TheGuidingStars.’ Apparently two people use the account.

Off Stream Heizou will sometimes reminisce on funny stream moments with you. 

Heizou tells you that he’s told chat he’s already taken, but if you’re comfortable and you want to, he’ll tell chat that you’re his partner. He’s content either way if you wish to reveal yourself or keep that between the two of you.

The mods know of course, and surprisingly TheOneAndOnikabuto hasn’t spilled the beans already. Although he apparently hates beans so that works in your favor.

One day Heizou arranged a fun outing so all the mods could meet up irl. You were apprehensive at first but knowing not only Heizou but TheOneAndOnikabuto would be there put your mind at ease.

Apparently the ‘TheOneAndOnikabuto’ goes by Itto and he’s, well, very chaotic irl. Which was expected.

Meeting ‘TheGuidingStars’ wasn’t as bad as you thought it would be. They’re twins who go by Aether & Lumine, and you hit it off pretty well with them.

Heizou likes to play RPGS, especially one’s where there’s a mystery going on with unanswered questions. After you recommended he play Persona 4 Golden, Heizou went CRAZY. He adores the cast and has fun trying to determine who the killer is.

Funny enough, when he told you his suspicions off stream he was 100% on the money but you didn’t tell him that lest he turn his backseat gaming rage on you.

It became a bit of an inside joke with the frequent chatters, but one time a particular person was being a bit TOO open about their admiration for your pretty boyfriend. After another horny comment from said person you didn’t even think twice before banning them.

Immediately you felt a bit ashamed at how fast you acted, but the feeling of relief overrode your other emotions. That is, until Heizou pointed out that the comments were no longer appearing. After he checked and saw that they were banned, he KNEW it was you but he decided to act innocent.

“I wonder which mod banned them? Shall we try and solve this case my little detectives?” Heizou had the audacity to pull up a poll for chat to vote. After the poll ended Heizou burst into laughter when your name was at the top of the list. Funny enough, Itto was second and close in votes to you.

Heizou decided to “take a hydration break” after the poll and it only took a few moments before he made his way over to you. You tried to hide from him but he was quick to remove the device you were using to watch his stream from your view.

“Is someone jealous of a horny stranger in my chat? Hmm?“ His smug words only served to irritate you, so your reply was “No. It just irritated me how they were having such lewd thoughts about you. I mean, I don’t blame them, but at the end of the day only I can have those thoughts about you.” Your confident reply only makes his grin grow wider and the distance between the two of you close.

“Well, if that’s how you feel I have no qualms with the ban. Although… why don’t you put those thoughts of yours into action?” Heizou’s breathy whisper brushes against your cheek, and you’re the one who eagerly closes the miniscule distance between your lips and his inviting ones. 

As much as Heizou physically ached to continue making out with you, he only indulged you for a few moments more like 5 minutes before he returned to stream to tell his detectives that he’ll return at a later date.

Chat was more than suspicious for the sudden end to the livestream since he seemed a little out of breath and his hair was a bit disheveled, but overall they found the whole situation funny.

As soon as the stream ended Heizou’s lips became glued to yours once again. You can’t help but feel a bit smug since you know you’re the only one who can make him feel this way.

After you feel comfortable in his community he invites you, Itto, Lumine, & Aether to play games with him on stream.

The first time you talked on stream you were so nervous that your palms were sweaty, but when you saw the positive feedback from chat about how “Attractive” and “Cute” your voice sounds your nerves vanished into thin air.

Itto made the first joint gaming session more chaotic than it needed to be, but otherwise everyone had a good time and the detectives took a liking to Heizou playing with his mods.Soon it became more of a regular thing. Sometimes Heizou even invited chat to join in on the games.

One time Heizou was openly flirting with you in game, and before you two knew it, chat was actively shipping you two. Off stream, Itto and Lumine love to tease you two about it. Aether’s more chill but he tends to catch you off guard with his blunt comments. “The sexual tension between the two of you was so intense that I felt it through the screen. Next time you two should just get off stream and go make out already.” The way your jaw dropped-

If you ever show interest in streaming on your own channel, Heizou is all for whatever you decide to do. If you DO make your own channel, he’s literally always in your stream. Always. Even if he’s currently streaming he’ll pull up your stream on something else to watch.

One time he literally watched your stream with his chat while he ate.

He’s your first and most trustworthy mod. You hardly see toxicity in your chat, and that’s hard to achieve.

Although, you have noticed how fast he’ll time out others who write thirsty comments about you. You start dying of laughter on stream when a long message from Heizou pops up in chat @‘ing an extremely down bad chatter before he bans them.

Your communities have a FIELD DAY with that clip.

Heizou’s chatters aren’t called his “little detectives” for nothing. In his discord server, the one he made for his community, you read all the evidence they have for their theory that you & Heizou are dating.

You sit down and scroll through the evidence with Heizou as you two laugh together. It’s almost scary how spot on his detective's intuition is. If you decide it’s time to tell the detectives that you two are dating, Heizou is elated. He devises the perfect way to tell them. However, if you choose not to say anything he’s content with that as well.

Heizou waits for his next livestream to tell his detectives that they cracked the case. 

When he finally breaks the news he does it in such a subtle way that even YOU almost didn’t catch it. Chat blows up with messages of “WE ALREADY KNEW” and “omg I told you so !!”

Your favorite comment is from Itto himself, who says “What!? They’re dating?” with such an incredulous tone in his voice that you would’ve believed he never knew if you didn’t know any better. You hear Heizou’s raucous laughter from the other room and your laughter soon joins him to create a wonderful harmony of love.

You hop on his stream for a moment to say hi to chat, and they start gushing at how cute you two are together. 

Thankfully, his chat is very supportive of you two.

They were already making cute ship stuff with you & Heizou, with his permission mind you, but now they make cute couple compilations of you two that you guys watch together during cozy nights.

"...You said all drinks were on you, yeah?"

Changing the topic? "Mhm, whatever you want."

It's hard to miss the way Kaeya's gaze burns.

"Then, round two at my place?"

"You're way too distracting, how am I supposed to get any work done when all I want to do is kiss you?"

And there it is, Heizou's twenty-second kiss of the day, this time pressed lightly on the bridge of your nose. Here you were, expecting the cool-headed man to be able to hold himself back during detective work.

You'd expected far too much.

"Heizou, you're the one who agreed to me accompanying you. No use in complaining now."

"Ah, that's where you're mistaken, love! Complaints are perfect excuses for kisses, you know." The twenty-third, on your left cheek, and the twenty-fourth, on the other.

"Heizou."

He tilts his head upwards, staring at you cheekily. "Hm?"

"Revenge." You cup his face. His pink cheeks are squishy, and you resist the urge to pinch them.

Heizou makes a noise of surprise, slightly jumping under your touch. He quivers for a moment, then goes stock still.

Seems like you've stumped the detective.

As you pull away, you're able to witness the absolute mess you've created. The Shikanoin Heizou's at an utter loss for words, his lips parted but words long gone. His cheeks, the tips of his ears, the back of his neck; he's so red-faced you can't help but laugh.

"My, that's all it took to render you speechless?"

There's a twinkle in his spring-green eyes as he gazes at you, shaking his head slyly. "Nope-! Not rendered speechless just yet- although..."

A rainbow rose drawn from a sleeve, a pair of sly amethyst eyes, a cattish smile, and a smooth voice: Lyney greets you — or more so catches and stops you on the road. Something of a highway robbery, except this "thief" is more skilled in capturing hearts than valuables.

His hand snags onto your forearm, making no move to let go. "You player, don't tell me you say this to any pretty face that passes by?"

At the raise of your brow, Lyney feigns hurt. "You wound me, to assume such a thing... just how little trust you have for me?"

You blink at him, rather unamused. "Sorry to disappoint, but I can't speak to plants."

Lyney, unexpectedly, grows silent. You see his cheeks puff outward, attempting to suppress a laugh. "I see," he speaks, breathily, like he is midway between a laugh and a word. "Love, beauty, perfection, wouldn't you say it fits you wonderfully?"

"...You have my thanks?"

Lyney's eyes are the shape of almonds, and when he smiles, the edges of them crinkle. "Not much of a charmer, are you?"

Is that a challenge?

Okay I know I called Heizou the biggest tease but I changed my mind.

And it's always the best one's too, but he decides to save the horrendous ones for completely normal times.

Whom talks with you in touches and small notes.

He had seen no problem in your absence of speaking, he likes the quiet nights that you shared with him. The sounds of nature taking over your ears, it was nice, just standing beside you and looking out to the views of Liyue. he reaches out to hold your hand, though still not accustomed to the feeling, he does it anyway. and as his hand lightly squeezes yours, he feels your own squeezing his back, as if saying 'I love you'. your quiet conversations are sweet and only for you two to know about.

He leaves notes scattered around, as you do too. ones with little messages of your schedule and plans. ones written with more love than any other person could comprehend. notes shared between you and him. notes saying 'i loved that dish, could we make it again' and a reply under, 'of course, i'll do anything for you'. it seems simple and dumb, but a nice way to talk to each other anyway.

Heizou

Who likes when you just listen to him, and let him do anything he kind of wants to since you can't talk back, but he also loves when you just draw your thoughts on paper.

He loves to talk, but mostly loves when he gets to talk to you since you always listen to him so closely. he loves when he can just drag you to to places, but of course he's nice about it (kind of) and ask you if you wanna go to that new ramen shop that opened in the outskirts of Inazuma City, which he kind of answers for you because of course you do! in which you smile at (smile at him or else...)

He likes your little drawings, and especially when its a little puzzle he has to solve so he can understand what you're saying and loves to guess wrong purpose so he can get a reaction out of you. and even has a special sketchbook, that he keeps on him at all times. he also sometimes goes trough it and just smiles at all your little drawings. remembering the time that you drew it, and all the cute little faces you made when he teased you for how bad it looked.

Cyno

Who helps you talk with small drawings in the sand and learned sign language so he could communicate with you properly.

He's often out in the desert, and from time to time takes you with him. which makes it easy to express yourself when all you need is a stick, sometimes his spear if he lets you, and sand which is already in front of you at all times. the little drawings that symbol your love, so many hearts all over the sand it would be hard to count how many times you drew them. he gave you his cape at night when you were extra cold? you drew a heart around his feet as a 'thank u, i love you', in which he cutely (your words) responded with, "i love you too" right after.

Whom learned sign language just because he felt like you were left out a little, but also learned the wrong one at first so you had to help him and learn him some signs as well. but the first thing you learned him was how to say "i love you", but didn't tell him what it meant so you could do it without him noticing just for a little while longer.

Wanderer

Who hates being touched, but makes you touch his shoulder when you need something and gifts you a book so you can write to him when needed

He, despite hating when people touch him, he cant think of many other ways you could get his attention, so he wants you to touch him when you need him. it doesn't matter if he had an extra bad day, its the best way to get his attention, so touch him all you want. it is you after all, the love of his life, he would let you do whatever you wanted to do, just tap his shoulder and give him a few signs or point at something, anything you want you'll get.

Others would say that he would be annoyed at you for pushing a book up to his face every hour or so, but he surprisingly he doesn't get annoyed at all and "tolerates" you pretty well. in fact he loves when you just stand there and write in your little book, he thinks its adorable when you glare at him as a sign to wait for you to finish.

Albedo

Who is normally very quiet but when he's with you he loves to talk, but of course, he loves the times when it's just you and him sitting together in silence

He could be seen as quite shy if you didnt know him well, but when around you he was the complete opposite, talking about everything he did that day, was currently doing, what plans he had ext. he loves when you just listen to him, but if you ever tried pointing at smt to ask like yk 'whats this?' he would be overjoyed and you wouldn't be able to make him shut up for hours about that one thing.

He looked at you when you had put your hand in front of his sketchbook, you looked at him sweetly before kissing his cheek, catching him by surprise. he put down his sketchbook and kissed you back on your forehead. it was just a quiet moment between you two and you wouldn't have it any other way.

Heizou ->

Has thousands and thousands of screenshots, pictures, and videos saved on his phone. Refuses to delete them because “you never know, they might come in use later.” Once in a VERY LONG while does his habit actually pay off. He’s paying for the cloud subscription service 1000% If he doesn’t his phone is borderline useless. If you go through it you’ll wonder how he finds jack sh*t in that phone, there’s no organization on/in that thing. That being said he doesn’t need to put things in separate albums because he had absolutely no issues with finding what he needs. (he’s literally me)

Sunday ->

Sunday likes to tend to his multiple gardens back where he lives. There’s two green houses back at his home. One is his and one belongs to his dear sister. If you want one too, he’ll gladly make some plans for yours next. When him or Robin can’t tend to the flowers, he has a gardener come tend to them in the meantime. While all of them brings joy to him he has a special soft spot for (white) calla lilies and spider mums.

Scaramouche/Wanderer ->

The definition of an annoying menace. He’ll put sticky notes with (sometimes with writing) on your back without you knowing. He used to do this to Childe too, only when it was Childe it would be way meaner. One fool read the ‘kick me’ note on his back and actually did it. Poor idiot guy learned a lesson that day. The worst he’s put on your back was a note with a stupid face on it. And if someone makes fun of you for it, he’ll give them a black eye! He’s the only one allowed to be an ass to you. :)

Furina ->

Does catwalk struts in her mirror when no one is home. She gets wayyyyy too into it. She’ll start on one side of the house and when she gets to her mirror she’ll strike a pose. One time you walked into her standing in front of the mirror doing pose 28. She couldn’t look into your eyes for a week afterwards. If you ask her to give her a lil show, she’ll do it but don’t laugh cause she might cry. lol. (she’s so me coded)

Sampo ->

He plays those driving games with the steering wheel and all. Sampo started streaming it too to make some hot cash$$ This man is DEDICATED to the act he preforms while streaming this game. If he gets into an accident in the game he makes it look like it happened irl too. He’s given himself whiplash from how fast and hard he slammed himself in his chair. think this.

Xiao->

BIG CONCERT FAN!!! Hates the crowds so much though (T ^ T) He’s so not a people person. Always manages to get great seats for you guys. He’s willing to see any performer if it’s for you, even if it’s not someone he likes. I personally see him as liking every genre of music, so there’s a fat chance he’ll still like the music being played. Xiao would put you on his shoulders if you ask him too. But I can’t guarantee you’ll be able to see any better this way because of how short he is.

Pela ->

Pela makes a crap ton of edits and fanfics. Any where between thirst edits and angst edits of anime characters. She’s got over 50k followers just waiting for her to drop the newest robin or satosugu edit. She’s also got of followers on the platform she posts her fanfics on. She’s big on x readers AND ship fics. That girl puts in work making sure both her edits and fics are absolutely perfect.

notes: please ignore the fact it took me a year to write this / it was originally only heizou and kazuha but i wanted more things to write

venti always managed to put a smile on your face as you two drank the night away at angel shares.

with the two of you tipsy, diluc had to slowly give you less alcohol to intake. it was cute seeing venti so desperately cling onto the wine bottle as the red-haired male put it back behind the counter.

you laughed, it was more of a drunken giggle, and venti let go of the wine bottle in an instant. your voice might’ve cured all of the trauma and hurt he had to endure as a small wind spirit, the wind slowly breezing through the establishment even with no open windows.

diluc took your wine too, replacing it with cold water and setting it down in front of you. “drink it, love.”

you grumpily sigh, pouting but nevertheless taking the cup into your hands and taking small sips of the water. you were calm around him, venti noted.

but love?

“oh master diluc, you’re so kind to my poor y/n..!” venti smiles, wrapping his arm around your shoulder and diluc frowned. you hug him back and he swears you can feel his fast-beating heart.

venti’s heart might’ve stopped sooner than he had thought. “you mean, my y/n?” diluc continued to clean glasses but the aura definitely shifted. he knew what he was capable of yet he didn’t care.

venti’s glare matched diluc’s while you’re still oblivious to everything being said.

“aww, diluc! you’re so sweet.!” you whine. diluc gives you a soft smile that melts your heart and hardens venti’s.

he lets go of you, not bothering to try to hide his obvious annoyance towards your words but you two are drunk��he’ll definitely forget about this later (he won’t).

he didn't mind staying with you outdoors. whether it's on the rooftop of the inn or a beautiful stop you convinced him to take you, xiao always managed to love your sense of adventure. it often came with hassles, of course.

you were an adventurer, you lived on the road, never settling down like xiao so desperately wanted to with you (not that he'd ever tell you that). you also got hurt a lot, a vision can only heal so much, and without proper care, he was sure you were gonna die in teyvat's mother nature.

you had a scraped knee, it wasn’t as bloody as he had anticipated when the inn’s owner had told him you were gonna die but way to make him rush, no?

you were sitting on a rock as he teleported right next to you. his eyebrows were furrowed and his lips were pressed into a thin line. he was worried.

aether was right in front of you, kneeling, which surprised the adepti. his gloves were off and his hands tended to your injured knee. xiao wished he could take his own gloves off, hold your hand as tightly as you hold his, not worried about his karmic debt going to you and eating you alive.

you wince and the blond in front of you rubbed your other knee, “hey, it’s okay. it was a simple scratch, nothing more.” he bandaged your injury and kissed it, like a mother would with her child’s ‘booboo’.

xiao looked at him. if you asked anyone who didn’t know him how he looked like at the moment, they’d tell you anger, disgust, contempt, or something in the lines of hate. they weren’t wrong.

his heart drops even further to his feet when you pulled up aether to his feet so he loomed over your sitting figure and kissed his cheek. “thanks, cutie.”

ah.

he helps you stand up from the rock and gives you over to aether. his hands, his gloved hands, settle on your shoulder and your waist, like a lingering hope that it was a simple tradition that humans did as a sign of appreciation. but he knew it wasn’t that.

he lets go of you, his hands in place as you hug aether. something so simple but so endearing made him sad. he’s giving you other to someone else. someone who could travel with you and protect you when you’re in need. xiao still has to help the people of liyue.

“i’ll be leaving now.”

alongside his fluttering and well-mannered words, he really liked you. kazuha stays up at night, looking up at the stars, wondering if you got home alright or if you ate something for dinner last night and such. he cared about you just like he would care about others but something seems off.

he'd pack your lunchs occasionally, taking his sweet and precious time to write a elegant note of how much you mean to him as well as delicious food! you must've been blind or uninterested to not notice his lovesick behavior.

on the crux, you and kazuha were simply talking the night away with a little drinking on the side. he clung to your shoulder as he slurred his speech, letting out some hums and incoherent hymns. it was cute, like your beloved thoma back in inazuma.

”you know… you remind me of home.” you say. kazuha looks up to look at you. the wind blows softly, brushing your hair in your face and he couldn’t help but fall in love with you more.

”may i ask why?” he manages to say clearly, his breath soft on your neck. you clear his thoughts, his past life in inazuma didn’t matter as long as he was held by you.

”the food you make, the lines you say, your smile…” kazuha swears he has heart in his eyes. your calm and collective words makes the samurai’s heart beat faster than before, his face almost as red as the simple strand in his hair.

“it reminds me of my boyfriend, thoma.” kazuha ignores whatever you said and clings closer to you.

”that’s encouraging to hear.” he mumbles. he still has a soft smile on his face. he’s not gonna let go of you now. he won’t let you go to inazuma. you can’t be in that wretched place, not the place that hurt him so much as an adolescent. you can’t possibly be happy there, your words have a different meaning, he gaslights himself.

“i’ll make you some breakfast in the morning if you wish.”

heizou enjoyed the time you two spend together. whether it’s on a simple date or a investigation he personally made, seeing you, being near you was all he needed to have a good day.

luckily for him, he had a day off today! kujou sara finally let him speed-run his work yesterday to get today off.

heizou grinned. “of course not, sara! can’t a man catch a break?” he winked. kujou sara still had a face of suspicion but sighed after heizou didn’t stand down or retract his statement.

he met up with you, his signature smile on his face as he prodded right beside you. “hey, partner! didn’t expect to see you here.” that’s a lie. he may or may not track your schedule from time to time.

you turn, a bunch of sauce on covered your mouth. you were always a messy eater but those stains looked quick and rushed. you usually ate slowly, so you must be with someone—

itto only smiled as the smaller male looked up at him. you were with him, but why? did the oni invite you to eat? most likely, but—again, why? how did he know you, how did you know him; those are the answers he needed.

“if it isn’t mr. arataki! how’s your day?” heizou didn’t really care about the answer, as rude as it sounds. he just wanted to spend his day off with his beloved y/n but teyvat is so cruel.

”it’s been awesome! i woke up and then—“ itto’s voice was drowned out by his thoughts. he must be missing something, but what? he looked back at you, maybe you had a clue.

you watched itto intently, focused on his words with a smile. you two were close, but how close? collages, friends, besties? you chuckled at itto’s jokes, or what heizou assumed was a joke (he’s not paying attention to the oni, just you. only you).

“—and then i decided to invite my beautiful lover out to eat! and here we are!”

ding, ding, ding! there’s the answer! you two were—

he pressed his lips together before covering up his shocked face with a smile. “my, my, that sounded like a hell of a day! i’ll leave you two love-birds to it; don’t wanna get any tooth-rotting cavities from you two!” he laughed and you laughed with him.

heizou walked away with a smile and waved. you two waved back and he turned.

he never wished to be another person but maybe today is a good day to start.

the aranaras always seemed to follow the poor wanderer. whether he was carrying out a task from lesser lord kusanali or taking a simple stroll.

it was a tiring thing, making sure none of the aranara got hurt in the mission or ate anything suspiciously purple or blue. luckily you managed to keep them entertain while wanderer fought anything.

you let the small creatures play with your hair and hands, tugging them to either play with you or to divert your attention to them. “y/n-nara! look at hat-nara!”

he sat still on a log as a group of aranara’s sat on his lap and hat. his eyes were closed and you didn’t know if he was simply letting them do as they pleased or was asleep. you decided it was the former and just smiled. it was a cute thing, indeed.

what you two didn’t know is that they were hiding. hiding from the fungi that wanderer failed to detect and hunt down (he says that sounds too animalistic, but he basically locks his eyes on the target and doesn’t stop ‘till they’re eliminated). an aranara stepped into your arms, trembling.

“wanderer?” you speak, impatiently and anxious. he let out a small hum, not bothering to open his eyes. “you missed one.”

“missed one wha—“

before he could finish his sentence, the fungi rushed towards you. it was obviously angry, wanderer had just killed his entire fungi family! he didn’t even have time to drop the aranaras on him, let alone prepare to send an anemo-fueled blow to the monster before a green arrow hit it straight in its chest, followed by three little seedlings exterminating the fungi.

you were cuddled up with an aranara or two, trying to protect them before a hand found itself on your shoulder.

“you shouldn’t leave your guard down in a forest, you lummox; you’ll get yourself killed.” tighnari!

you instantly relax hearing his voice and you let go of the protected aranaras to hug him. you nuzzle your cheek on his own, tighnari’s ears rolling back and his eyebrows furrowing. “i thought i was a goner! thank you ‘nari sosososo so much!”

”yeah yeah, just make sure next time you check the perimeter of your resting place.” he patted your back twice before looking forward to the hatted fellow.

“wanderer. i saw your work on the fungi, i’m impressed but think strategically next time.” wanderer’s eyebrows were furrowed and his hands felt clammy. his eyes, filled with panic were replaced with a glare. who did this guy think he was?

“so you were following us?” he huffed and crossed his arms. the aranaras dispersed, leaving the three of you alone.

tighnari’s tail swirled around your waist as you continued to hug him for dramatic effect. he snarled, “i was doing a patrol when i noticed the fungi’s elemental trail. i knew y/n was near so i followed it for their safety.”

wanderer huffed again. it was clear he didn’t believe him but how did the fennec fox know them? he let out a small ‘right’ before diverting his attention to you.

you had a big smile on your face. “aww, tighnari! you care about me?” tighnari looks away but it’s obvious he did. it rubbed wanderer the wrong way.

“of course i do. you forget you’re my mate.”

wanderer felt his fake porcelain heart break. he was actually that stupid to fall in love with a mortal. he cursed himself, he swore he’d never do such a thing again, that he’d never love again, but he did.

The summer had started to hit, and for you, it hit hard. You had always been very sensitive to heat, sometimes even in winter. Your poor partner always took the brunt of your constant complaining about the heat. Somehow he always managed to find a way to cool you down, even if it was already ridiculously cold out.

Fremient always took you diving. You were a vision holder, which meant you could breathe underwater without any special equipment. It was lovely, the feel of the cold water slowly enveloping you and the sights of the underwater animals swimming by. Fremient loved to take you to all his favourite spots—the ones where he came when he needed time by himself and ones that were special to both him and you.

The first time you’d started to overheat he took you to one of the most beautiful places you'd ever seen. Fishes swam in every direction and the bright sun shone through the water, but the sea didn't let the heat touch you. The place had a little building that was slightly tilted but till was nice enough to be in. The water cut off at the door, allowing you both a safe refugee from the world above. A little chair, desk and bookcase had already been placed in here.

This was your favourite place to come and talk, and since it was surrounded by water it was always pretty cool. It was so peaceful to sit there with your partner, this place was an important part of the relationship.

Heizou however did not take you underwater but kept you on dry land instead. Heizou is an anemo user so often uses his wind to cool you down, being careful not to mess up your outfit and hair of course. He was glad to use his powers to your benefit. One day when the summer had finally come round to Inazuma, you almost passed out from the heat, but not before Heizou was right beside you cooling you down with the artificial wind.

The whole rest of that day he fauned over you, making sure you were overexerting yourself so much that you’d actually pass out. Heiziou just constantly made sure you weren’t doing anything strenuious. “Here I’ll do that love, don’t pass out again.”

It was sweet to see him care for you so much.

Not Even Death Could Make Us Part

(Synopsis): Your boyfriend has come back as a ghost after being murdered, but after he suggested an idea that would bring you two closer it shows his true colors

Rain drops repeatedly hitting the white flowers on the casket is the only thing your attention is on, the only reason is that if you brought your attention somewhere else you would be reminded that you’re standing in front of your boyfriend casket

He wasn’t taken by something like illness or a fatal car accident, no he died because the crook he arrested had someone else kill him as either an act of revenge or to make sure he didn’t testify in court

When you first heard of it you wanted it to be a nightmare that you wake up from and see him breathing right besides you, but no matter how much you wanted his to be an awful dream you’re now here at his funeral

It did help that when the news first broke friends and family offered their condolences.

You didn’t want people’s condolences, their condolences won’t bring your boyfriend back!

You hated how they all looked at you with their pitying looks, if you could you would crawl up in the casket with him. But you know you can’t do that so you make the long trek from the cemetery back to the apartment you used to share with Heizou

Opening the door to the apartment that now only you inhabit, you’re immediately greeted with various framed pictures of the two of you. Many of them taken during dates, holidays, and vacations all of them containing his carefree smile, the same smile you fell in love with. Now only it’s staring back at you from a paper with ink on it, serving as a cruel reminder that he’s gone

You take the framed pictures and put the faced down along with taking down the ones on the walls, maybe one day you’ll be able to put them back up, but now it’s too painful to even look at them

After a full week isolating yourself in the empty apartment you decided it’s time for you to go back to work. You already used up your bereavement days, but it’s a good reason to be out of the house and occupy your mind with something other than Heizou, at this point you’re starting to think the isolation and grief is starting to get to you. When you would walk out into the living room you would find the pictures you took down back in their original places, at first you came to the conclusion that you thought of taking them down but didn’t. That wasn’t until you found the pictures back up knowing that you took them down, not to mention you’ve begun to hear a voice

Heizou’s voice

Going back to work might be what’s best for you, maybe interacting with people will be good for your mental health instead of wallowing in your own misery

Your first day back was good everyone made you feel a bit better, they made you laugh and told you the latest gossip you missed while you were gone

It felt like everything was back to normal, but as you made your way to your apartment you knew that you won’t have someone to tell what happened at work. Maybe you can call a friend and talk to them?

Yeah you think you can do that

Opening the door the apartment that now only you inhabit, you’re greeted with the sight of your deceased boyfriend, as if he had never left

Wearing the same carefree smile he always had

This can’t be real. You saw his body at the morgue and at the funeral. This has to be the grief induced hallucination you desperately tried to avoid

“Baby, you can see me!” He, the thing that looks like your dead boyfriend exclaimed cheerfully

You stepped back in disbelief until you fell on your butt, this has to be all in your head. You gotta call someone to come over and to tell you it’s a hallucination

“I know it’s hard for you to process all of this, but you gotta believe that it’s me.” He crouched down and held your hand, void of the warmth you once knew instead replaced with coldness. “I’ve been watching you for weeks thinking I was dead, without a way to comfort you or make myself known to you-”

“No, you’re dead.” You state more to yourself than to the apparition

“I-I know I’m dead, but I’m not a figment of your imagination. Look!” He says as he walks over and lifts up a coffee mug you used this morning

Heizou picks up the mug and walks towards you before setting it in your hand

The mug felt ice cold in the areas he touched and weighed a ton in your hands. Looking up at your boyfriend you felt tears form in your eyes

“Heizou…?!”

“Baby.”

You dropped the mug and leap into his arms only for you to harshly land on the floor. You turned towards your boyfriend who had a horrified expression on his face.

It didn’t matter as long as your boyfriend is back

Living with a ghost isn’t so bad, it’s like having a secret roommate. It’s like everything is back to the way it was before. You two would watch your favorite shows, sang together while cooking dinner, and playing your beloved card games

But there are times where you’re reminded just how different the two of you are. You can’t feel his warmth, every time you reach out to touch him your hand just goes right through him, you have to be mindful not to mention him in front of friends since they can’t see him and you don’t want them to think you’ve lost it. You wouldn’t blame them, the whole concept is crazy even for you

It’s something you have to adjust to

Like you can’t reach over and touch Heizou anymore, no more surprise hugs or good night kisses. However he can touch you only if he concentrates hard enough

It seemed like he caught onto your internal dilemma, it doesn’t surprise you he was a famous detective when he was alive so it’s no use trying to hide anything from him

“(Y/n), is something bothering you. You know you can tell me.” Heizou said as he sat right next to you on the couch

“It’s hard adjusting to...” You replied while gesturing to him, “this. You being a ghost, don’t get me wrong I’m very happy that I get to see you again, but I feel that we’re just too different now. I can’t hold you in my arms like I used to, I have to be careful not to mention you in front of friends or else they’ll think I’m crazy. And sometimes I think so too.” The last part coming out broken in between sobs and tears begin to form in your eyes. “If only there’s a way for things to be how they used to be.”

As tears clouded your vision you missed the expression on Heizou’s face, it was the same expression he would make when he came up an idea

“You love me, right?” He asked as he reached out and wiped away your tears with his cold hands

“Yes, of course.”

“You would do anything for me?”

“Y-yes, Heizou where are you taking this?”

“I just wanted to know before I told you my idea.”

“If I can be with you again like before then yes.”

“Would you die for me?” Your heart stopped and you got up from your place on the couch, effectively getting away from the redhead. “Think about it, this way we can be together. We can finally feel each other’s touch again, we can-”

“Do you know what you’re asking of me? You’re asking me to take my own life for the small chance that I return as a ghost.”

“Yes, but it’s the only way we can-”

“We aren’t taking about this anymore, you got that?” You rubbed your temples to soothe the oncoming headache you feel approaching. “I’m going to bed and don’t come into the bedroom!” You said as you stormed into the room that was noticeably much warmer than the living room

The next day you went to work, last night’s argument replaying in the back of your mind, you even skipped making yourself some breakfast instead opting to buy something cheap on the way to work

You were so preoccupied with your task you didn’t notice your friend was standing next to you until she tapped your shoulder

“(Y/n) are you feeling okay by any chance?” Ganyu asked, her voice laced with concern

“Y-yeah, I’m fine. Why did you ask?”

“Today you came in a much more sour mood then normal and you look a bit unwell.”

“I’m fine, I just haven’t been eating well since the funeral.” You lied

“Do you want to come over to my place, I can make you a nice nutritious meal.”

“I don’t know if I can make it. I’m not feeling all that wel-” You begin to slur your words

“(Y/n)? Are you sure? You look like you’re about to pass out-”

Ganyu’s words slowly faded oou as your world turned black

Coming to you find yourself staring up at a pristine ceiling and in a hospital bed. Before you could come to your senses you hear two voices talking, the soft voice of Ganyu and another voice

You turned your head to see Ganyu talking to a man with green hair and glasses, Ganyu turns her head towards you and a look of relief washes over her soft features

“Oh my archons, thank goodness you woke up!” Ganyu stood up and rushed over to your bed

“W-what happened…” You asked

The doctor, who you learned his name is Dr. Baizhu, explained everything. How you fainted during work and Ganyu was the one who called for help and also the potential cause of your sudden fainting spell

“Carbon monoxide?!” You repeated Dr. Baizhu’s words in disbelief

“Yes, and if hadn’t fainted when you did you would’ve died.” Dr. Baizhu explained

“But how is that possible? I have a detector at home, it would have alerted me if there was any of it in the air!” You desperately tried to explain

You didn’t know how this would happen until it dawned on you

Finally after one day you were discharged from the hospital, there was only one thing on your mind, confronting the ghost in your home

“Heizou!” You yelled as you entered the apartment and walked into the living room, forgetting to lock the front door

“What’s up, baby? Did you know how worried I was when you didn’t come home?” Heizou asked after he fazed into existence in front of you

“I know you fucked with my detector!”

“Baby-”

“I just got it checked out, there should be no reason for it to already be fucked up unless you did something to it!”

“I only did it so we can be together!”

“Slowly killing me isn’t the way to do it! I still want to live my life, go places and meet new people-”

“So you can leave me?”

“Not like that Heizou, do not twist my words!”

“How else am I supposed to interpret that! You said you missed holding me, what stops me from thinking that you want someone who is alive like you!”

Your words get stuck in your mouth as you start to get scared of your boyfriend

“I can’t stand the thought of someone else having you, you know how many lives I’ve ruined just to be with you!?”

“Heizou, what are you talking about?”

“Remember your old partner and how they got arrested for money laundering? That was me, I planted evidence so they can be arrested.”

“Why did you do that?” You whimpered out

“So I can be with you, I saw how they were treating you. Calling you the most vile names.”

“H-how did you know that? They would only do that in private. Were you spying on me?”

“It was for us to be together! But now that I’m like this, I can’t love you how I want to anymore!” Heizou had a crazed look in his eyes

“Get the hell away from me! God can’t believe I stayed with your crazy ass, I’m leaving!” You began to walk towards the door

“No. Nooo!!!” He shrieked as he pushed you down to the floor. “No! You’re not leaving me, I won’t let you!” He continued as his hands began to put pressure on your neck

You desperately begin to struggle against the ghost even flailing your arms in an attempt to escape, but your hands just fazed through his nonexistent body. In a futile attempt stop the ghost of your boyfriend from choking you further

Is this how you were going to die?

At the hands of the ghost of your former boyfriend?

You look up to see the face of your boyfriend one last time and see the crazed look he has. Is this how you die?

Your vision finally fades into darkness

Heizou released his grip from your now bruised neck

“Now get up.” Heizou demanded

You laid there unmoving

“Get up! You got to get up!” Heizou began to panic. “Please get up! You can’t leave me!”

Heizou pleaded for your spirit to appear before him and began shaking your lifeless body. He didn’t know how long he’s been at this, but stopped when he heard a knock at the door

“(Y/n)?” The familiar voice of Ganyu called out from behind your apartment door. “You didn’t come to work today and didn’t return my calls so I got worried.”

Reaching up to knock on the door again it parts slightly, anxiety now building up in her she slowly pushed open the door revealing your lifeless corpse on the floor

"no heizou, you have to leave for work in two minutes." you said, eyes narrowing. though, you as well would like to play with his hair for a little longer.

expect whining and pouting after that. (heizou always gets his way, most of the time at least.)

you and him could be slacking off as beidou and the rest of the crew actually worked.

you would lean up against a tree and he would put his to your chest, waiting for you to caress his locks.

"can't you take care of your hair better?" you say back, but you made sure to be a little more gentle.

"maybe i could- but i think your giving me even more hair damage by doing this."

"oh shut up." you murmur, placing the brush down and picking up his pins.

"no," he replied with a grin, tilting his head down so you could properly place the pins in his hair.

The timing of this ask lol I've been having weird (or interesting depending on the view) nightmares recently as well so some comfort after the disturbing experience would be very appreciated indeed. That aside, my personal headcannon is that all of the anemo boys have nightmares quite regularly, too. So, they'd probably understand better than anyone :)

If Venti's not passed out from drinking, it takes little hue and cry for him to notice. At first, he'd freak out a little, checking you over for injuries or anything of that sort. Then, he sighs in relief realizing it was just a nightmare that'd gotten you upset. Immediately, his whole countenance changes and he's guiding you to his hold, rocking you back and forth and vanishing your worries with the bestest melodies. His songs aren't just mere tunes, they're full on declaration of his eternal sentiment — you honestly become a little flustered in your sleepy haze. Venti has no shame admitting what he feels for you though, that cheeky smile you've come to adore never leaving his lips. And even if Venti was passed out from drinking, his tight embrace alone would reassure you that he'd never leave you or let you leave him.

──⚝ aether

One word : panic. He's immediately frantically trying to calm you down, holding you, wiping your tears, making funny faces to bring a smile to your face — the whole shebang. It's almost like you're a child he'd accidentally upsetted instead and when nothing works, starts crying with you, too. You're confused, he's confused and this abnormal reaction calms you down enough to croak out the reason of this predicament. Aether stops dead in the middle of wiping the tears off his face, deadpans and pulls your cheeks. Silly, silly, silly — take a good look at the state he's in, he'd rather drown in his own tears than ever leaving you.

──⚝ kaedehara kazuha

The calmest of the boys, he handles the situation so well that he deserves an award. When he's woken from his sleep with a perturbed you by his side, he's already cradling you in the safest embrace, whispering sweet nothings. He doesn't directly coax you to share your mind, but all his lulling actions offer such a sense of security you cannot help but bare your heart out to him. He's not deterred from his ministrations, either. Ever so intuitive, he guesses something else must've happened for your brain to conjure up something like that. Perhaps it was a person? That could be likely considering his idol disposition. Kazuha frowns, turning you to face him eye-to-eye, his hands hold yours firmly in an oath and he confesses that he belongs, and will forever belong to you and solely you ; this would be changed by no one, not even your subconscious.

──⚝ xiao

I think we all can agree he'd have the most nightmares out of all the anemo boys. Therefore, it's usually you comforting him and making him feel the most blessed man in existence. Xiao is nowhere near ungrateful either, so he harbours great appreciation for your kindness, taking mental notes in case the positions were to be switched. He engraves in his mind how nice it feels when you hold him and run your hand through his hair, humming gentle tunes but never probing him to recount what he'd seen, showing through your actions instead how much you treasure him. He may be extremely inexperienced in all of this but he's quick and determined to learn for you. When the predicted shift did happen though, he was a little panicked as well but not as intense as Aether. If anything, seeing him try so hard to comfort you makes you the happiest anyway. Ends up composing songs to confess the things he couldn't say to you in the moment <3

──⚝ shikanoin heizou

Detective Heizou had sensed something amiss the moment he found the other side of the bed vacant. He at first tried to give you the benefit of the doubt but when a considerable amount of time had passed with no signs of you returning, he decided to follow the clues. A mystery indeed, sounds of sniffing, weary figure— he deducted you were bothered by another nightmare again. Sneakily, he snaked his arms around your form from behind and began spinning you around til you couldn't keep the giggles in and now both of you were laughing like teenagers over silly jokes. Much more relaxed, he asked you what the nightmare was about. With some reluctance, you shared the contents. You felt the earlier horror returning to you but Heizou was having none of it ; scooping you up in a princess carry (you wonder where he gets such strength, honestly), sweet whisperings lost in the moonlight. Sshh, do not worry, just let him show you how much he loves you so that such fickle dreams won't ever bother you again.

Writing Practice

Prompt 1: Coffee shop Au meeting.

The sun disappeared beneath the depths as far as you could see. You watched as the cold night air set in around you. The time at university today is causing aching stress in your shoulders as you trudge along the streets tired. The world clouds cover the people within the streets and their issues. Sounds intermix as the shadows of the people fade in out.

“I’m so tired.” You mumble, reaching a stoplight. Shadows of people filled the area next to you and across the pathways. You heave out a sigh, clutching your own arm. Crowds of people are provoking the negative emotions plaguing your half-awake mind.

“How irritating.” You mumble, catching the attention of someone next to you. Snapping your neck up, you see other people staring at you now, as irritated as yourself. Her words sounding suppressed as her hands began to move almost violently. You slowly blink at her actions as she continues going on a rant you assume about something before dropping her hands to her sides. When the light turned green, you went to cross when she shoved into you before passing quickly. You watch her before passing along your way as well.

“What to eat for dinner?” You check the time on your phone, as the time appeared later than you thought it to be. Your stomach growled as you hurried down the streets trying to find a familiar restaurant that you ordered from. Each restaurant that you went to normally was busier around this time than usual. You tried waiting, only for your stomach to growl more incessantly.

An establishment that you had never seen before popped up in the corner of your eye. Turning, you see a red-haired boy cleaning the windows slowly. There seemed to be a lack of people in the restaurant, with him seemingly being the only member who was working at this time. Your eyes look around the new place as you stop on the sidewalk.  

The interior and the colors within give you a sense of comfort. Your eyes move to look over to the next section when his eyes stop and meet yours. He stares at your figure for a moment before looking at you with a small smile. You nod in greeting as he walks away from the window. 

Chagall Café (home famous inazuman coffee)

 “This looks so cute.” You bend forward, looking at a certain item on the menu. You were going to continue looking until your stomach growled again.

 Ah, yes, dinner.

 You make your way into the café where the red head is working. The bell rings as the door closes behind you. Soft jazz music fills the air as you make your way to the counter. The red head was nowhere to be seen, probably cleaning something. You wait, staying glued to the counter.

“This place is pretty.” You look at the walls painted with various Inazuman-style pages of writing and pictures taken from old Kameras. Some photos were of other employees with their names written on the wall. A purple haired woman, a white haired male, and a blue haired male appeared on the wall, along with their names.

 One of the paintings catches your eye as you approach it, leaning your face in as close as you can. The painting was that of a male who look nervous, glancing at his surroundings. The dark surroundings of him as he moved forward through his surroundings. 

“This one is a bit strange.”

“Well, it’s not if you understand it.” An unfamiliar male’s voice comes close to your ear. Turning, you see the red head from last time. His green eyes twinkling as he wore a look of amusement. Your heart pounded in your chest as the red head appeared next to you. Your teeth grit as you face his green eyes, which twinkled as he wore a look of amusement.

Does he get paid to do this?

Your fear of the sudden surprise from the barista changed into annoyance. The red head let out a small laugh as he holds his hands up in a “I surrender” pose. At a closer glance, you were able to notice things clearer about him. His name, for example, was on the tag that you could see, with his hair and eyes prominently standing out to you as you examined him further. His red hair seemed natural, as the color looked different from the dyes you would see in your workplace have. Which is rare around town, as most weren’t natural red heads like he is. His green eyes represent his demeanor. Those old novels always portray people with green eyes or color schemes as mischievous or tricksters.

 You wonder if he was like those characters with the ridiculous situations those close to him would wind up in.

“Hello, customer?” His playful voice turning into concern as he snapped in front of your face. His words regaining your attention as you met his eyes once more. He let out a small sigh, stepping back from you slightly. His eyes, looking at you seriously, were the mischief that he had when he spooked you.

“Ah, my apologies.” He shakes his head. 

“No, I apologize for scaring you like that.” He moves to go back to behind the counter. 

“Please take your time and let me know when you’re ready.” His voice goes back to a customer service tone as he takes his post again. He looks at you before looking around the room.

You look over the menu again before placing your order from the items you saw on the menu earlier. 

"Oh, the deep fried dish? That’s my favorite, actually.” 

“It’s just once in awhile, not often.” Heizou nods, taking the menu from you,going in the back to take care of the order. You take your seat, pulling out your phone.

You lean against your hand as you scroll through Instagram. A few dog videos pop up, making you laugh. A video of a green-haired girl and a black cat is what you landed on. The black cat was running away from the girl recording until he jumped out and opened the window. The girls screamed until she saw the cat landing perfectly fine, looking up at her blankly.

“What a strange cat.” You go through the comments, laughing at a few of them.

“Her meow meow?” You giggle at a nickname that her fandom had given the cat. The cat seemed grumpy and almost impossible to handle. How did that girl handle him? You scroll through a few more videos of her fyp.

As the girl and her cat were placing your order on the table, you became distracted. A plate of food was placed instead of a bag. You look up confusedly before checking the time.

It was almost midnight; why would he hand you a dish?

“Take your time; I can’t lock up until the last customer leaves.” You let out a small oh before digging into the food you ordered.

“If you need anything, don’t hesitate to let me know.” He gives a small smile before walking off again. You heard a few things moving in the kitchen as you focused on your food. You kind of feel bad; the restaurant should be closed, but he allowed you to stay and eat so that he wouldn't get fired. You quickly dove into the food so that he could go home. Silence encompassed the room as you quickly digested the food, with it being late didn’t surprise you that much.

“Can I sit with you?” You choke on a piece of food as he appeared again besides you. You start choking as he pats you on the back until you were able to dislodge the food. 

“Man alive, this is the second time you did this.” He hands you the water, watching as you drank it checking for any other choking hazards. He took a seat across from you once he saw the symptoms calm down. The redhead’s eyes stared down at the table as he broke composure and leaned his arm against the table, propping up his head.

“It’s been a long day.” His green eyes hid behind his eyelids as he appeared to try and get his thoughts together. 

“Too many customers?” 

“Well no. We had this one customer who kept yelling at a staff member of ours, calling her a chicken. She almost beat his ass; I had to step in.” He sighs, having a deadpan look.

“Is he a regular?” He shakes his head, opening his mouth as if he were going to say something, before leaning against the table. You could almost imagine how hectic it was and how that man was most likely banned from the restaurant.

“How about you? You seemed to be more tired than me when you came in." He stares at you, waiting for an answer. His green eyes stare you down, giving his full attention to you. You suddenly feel shy as you fiddle with your hands.

“I have an office job; they had me work a shift that wasn’t mine.” You sigh, remembering how tired you were when you locked up. You lead him onto the table, taking in a deep breath. 

“An office job, huh? It sounds like you’re used to having a co worker call out sick so that you can pick up their work.” 

“Tell me about it.” You let out a groan, rolling your eyes. That coworker was higher up in the office than you and had the privilege of taking long vacations to live their life without restraint. This only created more work for you, division, and alcoholism problems for some. “They aren’t even there half the time. Last time I checked, they were in Mondstadt kicking it up with the locals.” The more you talked about them, the tighter you gripped the utensils.  

“If you stress so much, your heart might give out.” He removes the plate from your hands and gets up from the table with it. 

“Thank you.” You left the change on the counter, making your way out of the restaurant, not wanting him to go home later than you had already wasted his time. A bit rejuvenated, you make your way down the street to the train station.

You put your hands in your pocket as you wait for the station with a chill running down your spine from the cold night wind. You let out a small sigh as you put your hands into your jacket pocket while waiting for the train. You hate the cold but also the hot, so you couldn’t really prefer either weather. A piece of paper that you don’t remember was in your pocket as you waited. 

Pulling it out, you see a paper with handwriting you haven’t seen.

Your First Date-Genshin pt 2

Note: this was really fun to write, and get away from school stress for a bit, i looooove you all

Tighnari

it would out in the forest(he made sure there was no fungi or anything to disturb u)

he would show you some really pretty flowers or mushrooms if you wanted(tho he wont make it similar to a lecture, only a little)

he maybe spaced out while looking at you, not his fault your so pretty, but gave a(n) (almost) shy apology after.

definitely picked flowers with you so you could have a fresh bouquet with the prettiest flowers you could find(he made sure none of them were deadly, or bad for you to be around)

you were given permission to pet his ears for a little after he caugt you looking at them for a little too long

^^he also let you cuddle his tail if you were cold(but he wont look at you since he doesn't want you to see how red he is)

overall a pretty good first date, if he could say so himself

Heizou

would talk non-stop about some cases he recently solved, wanting to impress you, even though you already are

took you to some fried food stalls around Inazuma city, ritou if you can handle the walk(ik i can´t)

he wanted to take you to do some puzzles with him, but figured he should make it more classic or romantic for your first date

^^maybe next time he´ll take you out to try and solve those puzzles

he got you your favorite flowers(if you like flowers) or a pot he tried to make for you, with the help of his family (which is very happy he wanted to make something, but didn't know he only put effort in bc it was for you)

kano, his cousin, and kujou sara also helped him actually ask you out, because at that point it was getting painful to watch him swoon over you every day

Wanderer

he didn´t even really agree with where he took you, Nahida just told him where to take you after she found out he (finally) asked you out

so he ended up taking you out somewhere in Sumeru city

(but maybe he also ended up leading you out of the city when people were got a little too loud and irritating for his liking)

didnt get you anything, as he didnt think he needed to, but the fact that his attitude was almost not there (when talking to you) was maybe a gift in itself

Nahida was so excited for your date, she may have borrowed someone's body for a while (at least 5-8 hours) and watched you

wanderer definitely noticed her presence, and tried getting away from her to get some complete alone time with you

^^when he finally succeeded you ended up falling on him, so he awkwardly let you sleep on his lap/shoulder while stroking your hair and getting lost in your beauty

Kazuha

your first date was probably on the crux, or wandering around in some nation (either his homeland or yours if you wanted, but that could always be another time)

the activities he had in mind would be fishing, making food together(or baking), sharing his haikus and poems (and helping you make some if you wanted)

^^i had too many ideas to put in here, sorry

but he would stroke your hair as you lay beside him and mutter his recent love poems, just for you

for the food you made, it would be something like fried/baked fish, hashbrowns... anything you knew how to make(basically), and sweets like dango or cake from your homeland

beidou and the crux may or may not have been following you, just for a little

^^she needed something to tell ningguang, as she was also invested in your relationship, and silently cheered on
