Eva. I. Had. A. Thought. (Who knew I could have one of those huh?) I actually had two thoughts technically.

Boudoir Photographer!Steve. You book him with plans to make yourself feel more comfortable in your body.

He definitely makes you feel more comfortable in your body… but man do your shoulders and back and thighs ache from the rope and positions he manhandled you into. Purely for photos. Not for any personal reasons. 😏

The boudoir photoshoot is a birthday gift from you to you, because you wanted to feel sexy and desirable and a little bit bold. At first you searched for a female photographer, but when you browsed Steve's portfolio you couldn't take your eyes away.

So you decide to be brave.

You were prepared for your shyness and awkwardness, but you were not prepared for how big Steve is; how smooth and warm his voice is; how your whole body snaps to attention and melts into sense of safety at the same time, when he guides you with softly spoken commands.

He starts you off easy - a few photos in lingerie.

But breathing seems to be difficult when Steve's big hands guide your hips up and push your shoulders down.

Then he encourages you to take off the lace and pose with a sheet; his fingers brushing your skin as he drapes the fabric between your legs and over your breasts.

Somewhere between his words of encouragement and appreciation - "Lovely" - "Oh, that one is stunning" - "Gorgeous" - slips in a "Good girl" that has your fingers clenching on the sheet and your mouth parting.

It takes you a long moment to realize your reaction, though you're not aware that you tilted your face toward Steve as if awaiting his caress on your cheek.

He notices.

He asks you which of his photo collections you liked the most and you admit it was the one with the colorful shibari ropes and soft looking leather harnesses.

You also sigh in envy that you wished you felt as light and sensual as the people in those photos were.

Steve gives you a long look then asks you to follow him into another set in his huge studio. You recognize it from the shibari photos and a thrill makes your heart flutter.

It's there that Steve sets the camera on a tripod and secures his already rolled up sleeves. He looks you straight in the eye when he asks you to drop the sheet and let him make you fly.

As he ties intricate knots on your body, it really feels as if you're floating. Then, using ropes linked through hooks under the ceiling, he yanks you up into the air and takes your breath away.

Tears almost fill your eyes when he slips flowers under the rope, turning you into a stunning artistic arrangement.

Steve's touch is always there, making you feel safe and grounded and you fall even deeper into this cloudy state as he circles you with the camera in hand, snapping picture after picture.

You never expected a photoshoot could make you feel this deeply, make you turn so emotional. But when your mind finally starts to fully reconnect with reality, you find yourself wrapped in a sheet and seated on a comfy chaise. Steve brings you a cup of tea and some cookies, softly explaining to you how the editing process will look like and when you can expect your photos ready.

Before you redress, he asks you how much you liked the experience. When you admit it was more and better than you expected, Steve asks if you'd like to repeat it.

With or without the camera, but for your mutual enjoyment.

That you don't feel rage, or disgust, not even fear at his blunt proposition - is a surprise. There's some hesitation, shyness still. There's also a jolt of excitement at the thought of Steve doing more to your body while you're bound or bent.

You lick your lips and bring the mug closer to your mouth, peering at Steve over the rim.

"Could we try the leather harnesses then?"

When did you start to get into shibari ?

My first ever tie was in 2016, it was for a boudoir shoot. If I could change anything about this tie, I’d remove the chair entirely; I fell over and everyone there was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

My first suspension was in 2019, it also didn’t go too well because we unintentionally put me in a very tortuous tie. Ya live & learn, I guess.

I’ve been working with my current rigger for about 5 years at this point, we met through a mutual modeling friend. We’ve been meeting up regularly to tie for the past 2 years.
