I have an idea for Shelly X Reader

The reader is a toon that’s usually apathetic, distant, and somewhat of a jerk. However they have a massive crush on shelly, they always have a smile whenever she’s around, hearing all the dinosaur facts that comes from her mouth, and are always trying to stay close to her.

They always try to hide their crush from her and to be fair, she hasn’t noticed it, is just that literally everyone else has, and some toons are gonna tease them about it while they deny about it.

You couldn’t help how your eyes glazed over when you stared at her, trying to subtly hide it.(And miserably failing)

You couldn’t help that she was the cause of your first smile, your first happy moment.

You couldn’t help how the softness in your expression drained away, the blush fading as other toons would try to “talk” to her about the smallest things, almost as if they were trying to get her away from you.

You hated it. You hated them.

All that your “fellow” toons in Gardenview did was cause you trouble.

And yes, you mean Shrimpo too. He may have a similar look on the toons like you do, but while you have a soft spot for Shelly, he doesn't.

He hates Shelly.

He. Hates. Shelly.

How? How could anyone hate her? She’s so sweet, so innocent, yet they treat her like trash to be kicked away, dust in the wind.

She’s never picked a fight with someone, never said any rude words, always lifted everyone up with encouragement, tried to help bring people together after they would fight. She extended kindness to everyone.

And yet they slapped her hand away.

It made your blood boil just thinking about it. You wanted to punch every single one of their faces, disfigure them over and over again until there were no horrible thoughts about how weird and disgusting Shelly was.

You could feel the pencil in your hand snap, nails digging into your own skin as the pieces of wood fell with a clunk to the table below you.

It hurt, your hand hurt, but you didn’t stop.

Stars, it made you sick. How they treated her as if she were nothing, invisible.

And coming in a close 2nd for the cause of your anger issues! How they mocked you for liking her.

“Really? You could’ve liked literally anyone.”

“Why her?”

“So how much did she have to bribe you for…this?”

“Ugh, gross…”

“She probably hates you.”

Your eye twitched as the voices circled around in your head, pestering you like flies.

Vee was a constant one. It was obvious she held a disliking for Shelly, constantly complaining about how “She just won’t shut up about dinosaurs! Like, who asked? Not me!”

And did anyone ask for your opinion Vee? Ungrateful ass.

At least Shelly didn’t know. At least on top of the sadness she had from being ignored, she didn’t have to feel guilty that the other toons were bullying you for liking her. At least they didn’t tell her you liked her. At least.

Is that really a good “at least” though? You suck at being optimistic.

Well, you suck at everything, and you’re definitely not an extrovert like her. More on the contrary, since your social skills suck ass.

You’re always giving passive-aggressive responses, being sarcastic, and shying away from social events and gatherings, even for holidays.

Oh, you say there’s going to be a lot of people there? Welp, guess I’ve made up my mind!

Nonetheless, you could probably push through anything for her; She practically had you in a chokehold.(Figuratively)

All your confidence seemed to immediately melt when she would skip into the room, hands behind her back and a bright smile on her face. Even just her talking to you made you want to crawl in a hole and die out of embarrassment.

Hopefully you’d stop having such strong reactions, you’re not sure how much longer you can keep up a facade of chillness.

No, really, you mean it. Everyday the voice in your head screams “JUST FUCKING TELL HER!” but if your stupid SELF-CONFIDENCE WASNT SO DAMN LOW THEN MAYBE THIS WOULDN'T BE A PROBLEM!

You let out a sigh, aimlessly looking around the room.

You’d rather die than ask any of the other toons for “advice”, and of course your self-esteem was so incredibly small you couldn’t see it with a magnifying glass, so what do you do now?

You let out a hum, considering your options when you hear sone excited yelling a few rooms down.

Curious, you stand up and walk over to the hallway, poking your head out from behind the wall to see Shelly running down the soft rainbow carpet, her arms outstretched.

She stumbles a bit, losing her balance, but raises herself upright again and keeps running, unfazed. You quickly run back to the chair you were sitting in before as she rounds the corner.

Her eyes lock onto you, and she lets out a giddy squeal, rushing over to you.

All you can do as she shakes you rapidly and talks faster than the “side effects include” speaker after a medicine ad is just sit there and hold in the vomit that threatens to escape you from dizziness.

She pulls back just as quickly and jumps up and down on her feet, rambling to you about how she managed to convince the workers to build a museum dedicated to her! Her own floor in Gardenview!

Even she didn’t know how, but she got them to pay attention to her, AND listen to her!

You couldn’t help smiling and laughing alongside her as she told you every single detail about how it happened.

As long as it just…stays like this...maybe you could work up the courage.

Why do people hate JK Rowling?

Long-ass story short: She said she always intended Dumbledore to be gay, but only didn't write into the books because it was not necessary to that particular plot. People understood and cheered.

Then she started revealing OTHER "bonus information that didn't make it to the books" through the years. They started out reasonable enough, but it soon became clear that Rowling was just making that shit up as she went along, to get more praise and attention in a quick way instead of actually sitting down and writting new material.

Eventually she DID started writting, or at least approving, of new stuff, like "The Cursed Child" play, or the Fantastic Beasts movies. The receptions were mixed to put it VERY kindly, and worse yet, Fantastic Beasts had a controversy regarding Rowling seemingly not understanding that women can sexually abuse/coerce men - something that was already a big issue in the original Harry Potter books, but it no longer got the pass of "It was a different time."

One of those movies would be centered around Dumbledore and his falling out with his evil boyfriend - yet the script was not going to acknowledge that they were indeed a couple, even though it was relevant to the plot this time, so it basically confirmed to people that "Dumbledore is gay" was just bullshit she made up at the last second to get praised as being a super progressive writer, aka queerbaiting. To make it worse, Rowling acted like people asking for canon confirmation that Dumbledore was gay could only possibly mean that they wanted sex scenes in the film, even though they were only saying "If he really is in love with this dude, let him say it. That's literally a key aspect of his conflict in this story."

To make matters even worse, during all of this, Rowling also decided to go full TERF/Radfem mode:

Any criticism of her, no matter how mild or valid? She'd call it misogyny.

Trans person existing? Treated like walking, living, breathing rape-threats. But no comment on TERFs literally spying and sometimes filming people in the bathroom "just to make sure they're not secretly trans" and TOTALLY not because they're creeps.

(And she'd also not comment on how some of her TERF buddies were doing insane shit like "claiming/exposing/harrassing" famous people like Daniel Radcliffe, aka the guy that played Harry Potter himself and that Rowling knew since he was a little kid, for "secretly being trans" for stuff like "being too short/tall for their supposed gender").

People getting uncomfortable with how she continued to not so subtly double-down on "Women cannot be abusive/predators, that's exclusively a guy thing"? Yelled at for "demonizing women" instead of "calling out the patriarchy."

Finally, her TERF buddies also started putting her on a pedestal for being "one of them", doing shit like claim no other woman EVER had any success as a writer. People were already no longer comfortable praising her for her real accomplishments after the shitshow she had turned into over the years, so you can bet that they were NOT okay with acting like women like Mary Shelly, ya know, the one who literally wrote Frankenstein nearly two centuries before Harry Potter was created, didn't exist or weren't important just because some truly vile people wanted to kiss Rowling's ass and she continued to let them be vile because she liked having her ass kissed.

So yeah, reminder: FUCK JK ROWLING AND ALL HER TERF BULLSHIT! Now excuse me while I wait for the inevitable angry asks from Radfems calling me a pick-me, porn-addicted "fmoid" brainwashed by the patriarchy.

Thoughts on/during MSBE

So this isn’t a review, per say, but rather me just pointing out some interesting tidbits, discoveries and comments I had from watching the movie.

Let’s start with the overall feel of the film. It definitely seems much more akin to Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein”, than the English dub of the original movie ever was. Whereas in this one it is more apparent that Mewtwo is only lashing out his hate towards his circumstances at the world, rather than setting out to really conquer it. This of course made our angsty kangaroo much more sympathetic, in my eyes. That being said though, I think including his original prologue with Ambertwo, would have added MUCH more depth to his character. CAUSE THIS GENERATION NEEDS TO SUFFER LIKE I DID WHEN I SAW IT. //SHOT

Speaking of Mary Shelly’s Frankenstein it was this take on the movie that made me realize Ash seems to parallel Robert Walton, a “protagonist” in the book who recklessly goes out to be an explorer, seeking glory or adventure without seriously thinking things over first. Sound familiar? 

Dragonite’s Muppet noises give me life. You can’t change my mind.

The fact that officer Jenny threatened to arrest those trainers going to New Island means they’re actions were screaming “F**K COPS”.

The rocket trio was cheesy as usual, and tried making the movie into a musical number. They failed. //SHOT

Brock was actually smart enough to recognize Nurse Joy BEFORE her hat came off, who knew he had some brain cells when infatuated? *SARCASM*

The animation was actually better than I anticipated. Mewtwo’s movements felt more alive and dare I say “natural”, the scenery was pretty breathtaking at some points and while the humans could be pretty jarring sometimes the Pokémon were often very visually pleasing to me at least. 

Brock has been drinking his “respect woman” juice, because he called the girl trainer QUEEN. Also he referenced his infamous “jelly doughnuts” sakjhfjkshg.

Also the soundtrack? They really went hardcore on the organ, there. Probably to add to the spoopy Frankenstein vibe.

Speaking of Frankenstein’s monster again, I noticed that BOTH of my psychic kangaroos canon stories somewhat reflect different points of the monster’s life. Not just because they’re artificial, whereas OG Mewtwo’s story focuses more on its creation/lashing out against world Newtwo’s story [mainly the prologue and before she found Pokémon who took care of her] is reflective of the time at the very end of Shelly’s book where the monster got watched his creator die and went off into the isolated arctic never to be seen again. Presumably to rid the world of his “abominable” existence. 

Meowth commented that the clones sleeping in their tubes was ‘cute’ and... well he’s not wrong.

The way Mewtwo responded to Nurse Joy after getting her out of his influence, seemed to suggest that he tried using her to figure out his own body as well and no I don’t mean that in a weird way, get your mind out of the gutter you THOTS.

“No matter who the Pokémon, there isn’t a Pokémon that can’t be caught!” Bro, if you only BEEN to the dynamaxed Mewtwo raid battles. 

Also the clone’s popping out of the machines don’t look like a Rhyhorn giving birth now, so that’s nice. 

Also the whole palace -whistles- that is some top-tier gothic architecture man.

Charizard is a hot-head like usual, but his cgi form gives me Toothless, making me want to squish his face.

“Humans, I have no desire to cause you harm. Simply go home.” Wow that is surprisingly non-jerky of you Mewt- *Opens gate up to reveal HIS typhoon* “That is, if you can make it through the storm. >:3″ Aaaaand never mind, you’re an a-hole. 

If you listen closely you can hear og Mewtwo’s anger slowly increasing, each time his shots fail to hit Mew. 

“A Pokémon’s REAL strength comes from the heart you say! Well mine’s full of rage and emotional trauma!” 

You can climb down that wall Ash! Just believe that you’re Spider-Man! Or whatever version of him you have, in your universe.

Aaaand you failed.

Pikachu and Pikatwo fight, aka Jordon Peele’s Us. 

“Living things won’t give up their territory, to other members of their own species. That means-” “They’ll battle until the other is defeated, until only one remains.” OW, okay just thinking of that possibility ever occurring between him and Psyche, the implications PAINS ME TO NO END.

Okay seriously some parts of the movie’s soundtrack are GOOD, y’all. Also the art in the credits are gorgeous.
