// What’s up peeps? This month, Ask the Green Guys turns 3! Also we hit 50 followers a few weeks ago, so we’re doing something special! 

You all are aware that the boys are dead ghosties, and you might have picked up on them acting... maybe a little different than you might have imagined. Part of that is just, interpretation, but a lot of it actually has to do with the fact that I’ve got entire lifetime’s worth of experiences (plus some couple hundred or thousand of years spent in the afterlife) to work with. Stuff like that changes you! Anyways, I thought it would be fun to show you how the boys might act if they were the ages they looked. 

So for the entirety of April, we’re going to do an event I’m calling “Past and Present”. It will work like this- the boys will switch between their normal selves and their past selves- more on that in a minute. For asks, they’ll answer as both their current and past selves (unless there really is no difference in the answer or how they’d phrase it). For RPs (not old ones, those will continue as normal) they’ll randomly switch between their past and present selves, sometimes in the middle of a thought! For the sake of all our sanity, they will remember your muses, even if you’re talking to their past selves, but they won’t remember life events that would have changed them (defeats the purpose of the whole thing if they did).

This got long so more on how to tell between past and present versions of the boys below the cut!

In order for the muns and anons to be able to tell what version they’re talking to, I’m going to use different icons. Present state-of-mind boys will use the normal icons that I’ve been using. Past state-of-mind boys will use these:

Sky, after the defeat of Demise and deciding to live on the Surface with Zelda.

Mini, after defeating Vaati.

Quarters, once again after defeating Vaati. (Yes I know that’s from Wind’s manga I didn’t have a lot to work with shut up)

Time, in the Child Timeline when he was naturally 16 years old, has recently started training to be a knight.

Time, during Ocarina of Time sometime before finding out Sheik is really Princess Zelda. (Time gets two because I wanted to play with both. This version is basically nine-year-old Time in a sixteen-year-old body.)

Twilight, after defeating Ganondorf and still trying to figure out how to get back into the Twilight Realm.

Wind, sailing with the pirates after the events of Wind Waker but before the events of Phantom Hourglass.

Sparky, after defeating Malladus and deciding to continue his career as a Royal Engineer.

Light, after the events of both Oracle of X games but before the events of Link’s Awakening. This picture is from the ALttP manga but I might use the Oracle mangas too (they look pretty similar because they’re by the same artist though)

Light, after the events of Link’s Awakening. Light also gets two versions because LA did one hell of a number on him and changed a lot about how he’d act and talk. (the original manga I was gonna use didn’t have a good range of emotion, so LA Light has the blue box around his icons instead)

Brown, after waking up the sleeping Princess Zelda (the events of Zelda II: The Adventure of Link), hanging around Hyrule and helping rebuild.

Green, Red, Blue, and Vio a little bit before going to challenge Vaati and Ganon (after they put back the Four Sword so you’d only get to talk to merged!Green). Please note that their eyes are all actually blue, I just color coded them because otherwise y��all might have trouble keeping track of who’s who.

Shout out to anon for inspiring this task! There’s a masterlist below compiled of over 120+ Egyptian faceclaims categorised by gender with their occupation and ethnicity denoted if there was a reliable source. If you want want an extra challenge use random.org to pick a random number! Of course everything listed below are just suggestions and you can pick whichever character or whichever project you desire.
