You know, madcom self oware au is great but do you wanna know another hyperfixation id like to see develop in a similar fashion, Pizza Tower, hear me out (warning, i never played the game)
Either Peppino would be put off by the sudden feeling of warmth and airiness as he enters the tower or he would be too stressed to think on it too hard and just brush it off as a side effect of the tower. Perhaps a bit of both but eventually he gets used to it the further he gets through the tower, even calming some of his anxiety when he feels like he's about to explode. Whenever he's in a tight spot and his fight or flight response suddenly turns to freeze there's always something pushing him onward out of danger. Like it's holding his hand, guiding him.
The further he goes the more apparent it becomes to him that that warmness he's feeling isn't normal. Whenever he gets hurt a significant amount of times he swears he could hear someone swear, he later blames it on his adrenaline and moves on. It wasn't till he reached his look alike's abandoned restaurant, incoherent scribbles on the walls, he didn't pay them much heed, something he regrets but he had a mission to accomplish. Though someone did put a temporary stopper in that, him, or rather a version of him. It screeches upon seeing him, crawling and scratching the walls as it ran straight towards him at a speed that matched his own, taken by surprise Peppino coldent doge in time as it lunged at him. Though against all odds he did not feel its teeth clamp down on his exposed neck it just locked itself around him… Menacingly, slurred speech spilled from his doppelganger's mouth, one word being persistently used than others. Peppino in his tired haze tried deciphering it, and when he did a chill went down his spine. It didn't want to kill him, no, it wanted to get closer to the warmth.
It all made sense now although this thing, or whatever they were, controlling him didn't seem to have any bad intentions, it's proved itself to be trustworthy seemingly keeping his well being into account. Though the thought of there being an alternate motive was still on the table, what could you want? Eh, otherwise he sees no reason to fear it, though he is a bit embarrassed, the prospect that someone was watching him made him shrink in on himself a bit, he doesn't like being watched, especially by something that he can't see.
…
He's running, running for his life again for the hundredth time this afternoon, down the winding stairs of the tower with every of its residents trailing behind him, the structure crumbling all around them as they make their exit. The moment his feet made contact with the obnoxiously green grass he could feel the warmth fleat oway from his body. It was like having ice cold water dunked on you, the sudan change forced him to his knees.
...
He couldn't get that warmth out of his head, the longer he thought about it the more sentimental he became, something or someone out there seeking to help him made him joyfull. There aren't many that will give out their services without gaining something in return, something he's very familiar with. Part of him wishes he could feel that reassuring warmth again, but maby it was for the better. What were you, would he want to know… Although he will never cross whatever you are again he will forever know you as…
The ghost of Pizza Tower
…
Until the sequel comes out :Pizza Tower two, the search for more money:
*PUTS THIS ASK IN MY MOUTH AND SHAKES IT AROUND EVERYWHERE* YES!! YES TO ALL OF THIS!!! I can imagine how Peppino must've felt throughout the whole tower. He was primarily alone, I mean he had Gustavo and such with him throughout most of his Journey, but he was still facing up the big bads all by himself. But that warmth is constantly with him all the way through the tower. It tells him where to go, what to do, how to find something, and imagine if the Player was very good at the game. Like this wasn't their first rodeo. Peppino is so confused at how the "feelings" he gets are nearly almost always right. There WAS a secret here, there IS a topping here, ect. It gets to the point that he starts to listen to the Player's inputs almost automatically. Once they are up halfway through the tower, Peppino fully trusts what this otherworldly force is and allows it to guide him through the tower. The bosses are practically nothing to Peppino, I mean he may get hit once or twice, but the overall battle is a total breeze. Still, Peppino is wondering if the warmth has something to do with the presence of the being. His theory is confirmed when he gets to the freezer level, in which he's cold, but not freezing or frozen like Gustavo is during Pizza Time. He's literally in a t-shirt, tank top, and pants with black shoes. How is he staying so warm? It HAD to be the entity that he can't see that's following him around everywhere. Then during the final battle, his adrenaline is maxed to the fullest limit while the being is with him every step of the way during the fight. The heat surrounding him repels the rain and fuels his desire to pummel his rivals into dust. If he had to say something else, he could swear he would periodically hear a voice from somewhere cheering him on to kick their asses. To which he obliges. Once it's all said and done and the tower collapses, and Peppino suddenly finds a chill resting on his shoulders that he can't seem to shake. Hours, if not days, after the tower falls...Peppino is persistently thinking about what happened in the tower and what that entity was. Why did it help him and why was it so...warm? Why is everything now suddenly so much colder without them? Were they attached to the tower and once it collapsed they just...simply cease to be? Did they help him even though they knew it would result in their own demise? Peppino feels a feeling similar to grief or sorrow as the more he thinks about it, the more he feels horrible knowing that something out there cared enough about him to "die" to protect his way of life. Maybe he should visit the ruins of the tower sometime...maybe if he's lucky...they're still in the rubble somewhere. Then he'll get to feel that warmth again. -- This AU is inspired by the original Madcom Self Aware AU by Saltymongoose here on tumblr! Go check it out if you like madcom or self aware concepts!

One thing about anatomy that would make the quartet realize how fragile the human body is compared to a grunts would be nosebleeds. Like, randomly at some point a blood vessel could burst in your nose and it would just start bleeding. Although it's not a big deal for the player it certainly would be for (their harem) the other grunts, if salty's headcanons of them reacting to the player being hurt is anything to go by.
And then there's another thing, periods, like DUDE.
Also also, here's a thought, what if the player's god mode only protects them from danger that's in their surroundings except their body, basically the player could be shot at and be fine but could still be affected by cramps.
Man, i love anatomy, one of my favorite things to come out of this, and game crossovers, imagen, the quartet, in minecraft. Idk about you but i place my bed next to theirs, or middle rather.
Me and the boys at 3 am getting some sleep
I think it would be interesting if the Player did get phantom pains from injuries they would've gotten. Like if they were bitten, stabbed, or shot and they could only feel a ghost of a pain. Like a muscle ache or a bug bite that itches really bad. Maybe they would even get burning sensations, since I hear that from gunshot survivors would always talk about how the bullet wounds would burn for a time. BUT YES! MINECRAFT!!! I've been stuck on doing minecraft for the past few days and it's been amazing! Especially since I started to play an engineering mod that will allow me to mine up ores and such using machines. Mods are so much fun in minecraft and I think the boys would find it fun. Imagine the most populated world you have ever created, with massive builds and such, and telling the boys that you built all of that. From the ground up. It would easily be impressive! You killed a dragon, went to hell and back, have multiple farms, and constructed everything from basically nothing. I mean, imagination in minecraft is limitless. So you could build literally anything! Plus, if you have mods, it would be even more fun! Also, Hank would definitely shoot any monster that prevents the group from sleeping. XD "You may not rest now, there are monsters nearby--" *GUNSHOT*

A continuation on this monster of a text, https://www.tumblr.com/cosmica-galaxy/719001034780000256
Me while reading this: Ohhhh celestial castle, very nice, dawww and they put Deimos and Sanford close together? In like a small bed, did they make a doll house for their resting vessels? That's so sweet, I would have ne- wh… w what do you mean “if he ever woke up from his slumber”.
Would this mean that others could potentially wake up too… heh, live footage of Jeb checking if Hofnarr is dead or alive https://www.youtube.com/shorts/YtSPQIK15uc
But seriously though THAT'S SO COOL, when i read the line “That once the employers confront the false moon, the “moon” is revealed to be one of Player’s eyes” i hit my table i was so pumped. This character started off so sad then it turned so wholesome, i love it.
Also, I think :Mothra's Theme (Queen of the Monsters Suite): would be a good fit for their character.
But another thing that's been bugging me, wouldn't the vessels notice something wrong, first they are engaged in combat and the other second they aren't, you can't tell me that they wouldn't notice.
Like a siad in the previous post maby it comes to a point where Doc wants to find out about this god. I mean if the employers are so perturbed by it and it's affecting his mercenaries (the exception being Hank). Then what could this mean… Listen, I just want one, ONE of the madcom characters to meet the moon god face to face in all there glory, is that so much to ask for?
Originally I imagined the god to have flesh, but now that I have a better understanding of their character I think it would be more suitable if they were made out of solid rock, or at least appear to be. It's hard to see their real form through the misty light that's covering them, but when they're scaled down a mock version of their form appears.
The gods body and clothes are made out of chiseled marble yet the garments that they wore moved with their body as if it wasn't. A shadow forever masking the left side of their face, the only glimpse to what's beneath it is a crimson stream dripping down their chine. It's hard to think that a statue could ever bleed, or for that matter feel pain, but how are one supposed to know if they are not one in the same. Cracks oozing with blood seep into the desert sand. The only indicator that they were ever there, despite their superiority they can not stay in that form for long.
I've been puting of how I envision their clothes to be or what they wear and ehh… they are very see-through. But then again I can't imagine the moon having any genitalia since they are a celestial body, their whole being is covered up by their mighty aura.
For referens
Here's a short little doodle dump to show what would happen during the confrontation. : )

So I came up with my own player (again), or at least an idea. I was inspired not just by your writings but these three songs.
:Inevitabilis『Homura's Theme』 【English】:
:Who Will Know (24 Bigslow):
:God Shattering Star:
…
A player that's emotional and quick to form attachments, a player that tries to give their vessels the best outcome each run but can't, someone always gets hurt, and it kills them on the inside.
Once they got transported to the game they instantly became an overseer of the grunts inhabiting the world, taking the sun's place and becoming the moon. Or the equivalent of it, they refuse to come near the world in fear that they might lash out due to their emotional instability, making things worse. You know, like how the moon has an effect on our tides if it gets close.
Their face is covered up by a shadow, there's three phases to it, “new moon” is when it's covering the whole face with the faintest light surrounding the outline of their head. While “half moon” and “full moon” are pretty self explanatory.
Their strings have the solidity of violin strings and shimmer in the light, a feeling of drowsiness takes over the puppet when the strings take hold of them.
Has a soft spot for Hofnarr, therefore they stole him oway before he had the chance of becoming Tricky, one of their greatest failures from previous attempts, he's in a coma the whole time he's up there because the god don't know what to do with him, or how to stop his inevitable transformation.
They did learn how to communicate through dreams, though the grunts that are subjected to them have a hard time remembering the dreams, except the feeling it left with them. So Hofnarr isn't completely unconscious, they try to keep him company through the dreams.
Due to their insistent attempts at making their vessels' lives better and failing they changed from trying to change it directly to something more discrete once they ended up in the world. No more will their vessels bodies burn from old scars, instead they will appear on the deities back in the shape of debris, burns, bullet wounds and so, so much more. They've grown used to it but too much at the same time can prove critical. Much like how the other side of our moon that's facing the vast unknown has been damaged by asteroids.
Their pain is tremendous but their love is bigger.
…
But everyone has their breaking point, they just hope they're far oway enough that they don't harm anyone when, or if it happens.
And that's where the last song comes in, this last (in progres) phase is called “Mourning Star” in which their face is lit up ablaze, their choice of weapon is a morning star plucked from their back. They are no longer shredded in darkness, showing off their pain and sorrow that's overshadowed by their rage field might. No longer holding back their emotions and laying waste to the land they once sought to help prosper. This phase will most likely never be seen, not unless the employers get involved or there's more players, but even with those scenarios it would be a slim chance. If anything they could help the suffering player.
There like a glass cannon, they can conflict dubious amounts of damage but can just as easily be killed due to taking so much of others pain, letting their selfless actions become their hubris, Hank just needs the courage to kill another sun.
Side note, I'm thinking of renaming this phase to “Burning Star” and calling the much more mentally well and heald phase “Mourning Star”, showing that they're still sad but they're no longer holding it in to an unhealthy degree. I just really like the name is all.
Also it's not just there vessel they visit in their dreams but some npc's too, because they've grown attached.
…
Thoughts?
I think it's overall interesting! The Player takes up a celestial watcher role and begins to alter what would happen. It's kind of a catch 22, however. Now that they changed the route of Nevada's history by removing Tricky from the equation, various things are now bound to change and happen. Hank won't lose his jaw. The Auditor and Tricky demon hybrid won't occur. Depending on the time the Player spirits away Hoffnar, it will also impact the eventual downfall of Nexus City. In short, a LOT of things will change. Especially since the sky was still grey (which means they still had the sun) at the time of Hoffnar being stolen away. A key element in Nevada's history has been removed, which means the usual story and events won't occur. Plus, maybe the moon will change and most of the populace takes notice. Maybe the Player is even hiding from the employers and decided to disguise themselves as a celestial body in the skybox of Nevada. It's a clever plan, especially since they'll be looking down at Nevada, not up at the moon and sun. I also get the vibe that this Player would embody the whole "the road to hell is paved with good intentions" meaning. They save Hoffnar and take hits for their favorite vessels, but they risk injury and have altered the normal path of Nevada. Which could backfire horribly, now that they have no idea what will happen. Maybe without Hoffnar, the plan to siege Nexus City fails and Phobos lives, making Gestalt arrive 30 years earlier than intended. Maybe Hank doesn't have someone equally as powerful as him now that Tricky is gone and still has his face intact.
Maybe the Sheriff never gets to activate the improbability drives because Jeb is in Nexus Prison from a failed coup attempt. Thus, allowing Hank to kill him undisturbed.
There are lots of what ifs that could happen from the Player meddling with the timeline to protect what they can. Unbeknownst that they are putting everything at risk at the same time.

Ohhh i'm gonna be real silly, self indulgent even, so here's a long one for you.
From what i've read the player is usually like 20 to 30 something years old, but like what if they were younger? In a world where murder is the norm, that can't be good for them, like I said in that one post.
I mean like yeah, you're not that yung but compared to everybody else in madcom? They would be so confused, how did a 17/18 year old (with godlike powers mind you) with no prior knowledge about weapons or firearms help them so effortlessly through wave after wave of danger. Back then when you hadn't been kidnaped you were so carefree yet caring for the boys and their health, now you're an anxious mess who clings to them for protection. Anything seems to set you off, smal sounds in the late hours of the night? The next day there's bags under your eyes, accidentally stubbing your toe or hitting your elbow? you're at the verge of tears, A gun goes off? Instant panic attack.
Due to this Doc wants to give you medication to help with the stress but he's afraid how your body would react to the medesun considering your different anatomy. so he (with your consent) takes samples of your body and studies them, like spit, skin, hari etc. Though he realizes that you seem calmer when you do smal tasks, so he assigns you puzzles to solve, things to reorganize and arrange to your heart's content, anything to get your mind off things, it's also kinda endearing and fascinating to him. It's not everyday you're in the presence of an otherworldly being, so in a further attempt at consoling you he asks about your hobbies, what you did for a living, you respond with short answers. It wasn't till the “conversation” went south and you started talking extensively about history, space and religion, among other things of your interest that were harder to describe, like games, and that they were in a game. Doc came to the conclusion that you just have an interesting way of explaining the unexplainable, like other worlds and dimensions beyond any grunt's understanding.
If you're this yung in Nevada of all places, and you react this badly to being misplaced into another world, fuck. Welp, congratulations, you got yourself a group of some protective motherfuckers, they would probably try to find a way to get you back to your own world, they can't stand seeing you this upset. Though in the meantime they would try to make it bearable. Keyword, try.
Deimos and Sanford would be like older siblings, Deimos the more chill and laid back that would let you get oway with things while Sanford is a bit more strikt, Doc is the resident's grandpa™ while Hank is the weird uncle.
Hank is very bad at comforting, big shocker, but if you want to be alone, he will leave the house, if you ask for a hug, he'll hug you. It's just that he doesn't know what to do next, so in the beginning it would be kinda awkward.
Sanford is a mama's boy, he's got more experience with stuff like this, kinda. He knows how to cook so comfort food is something he would be glad to make for you, if they have the ingredients, that is. Otherwise Deimos could stop by at Gils and get a burger from there. Hell, him or Hank could even bring you a hot dog from that one guy.
(heh, i've been listening to Shiny recently and was reminded of the line “i ate my grandma, and it took a week because she was absolutely humongous” and i can imagine Doc interpreting that as when humans grow with age they become taller and bigger. It's got the same existential dread of knowing the height of the teletubbies, if they are so massive and they're just infants, then how big are the parents?)
Also, if you were to have sibling(s) or parent(s) that you won't shut up about then that could imprint a “baby bird being taken from their nest and its parent is furiously looking for it” type of scenario so there's a sense of urgency in their pursuit of getting you home. If you're capable of changing time, materializing weapons and cars out of nowhere then what would your older family members be capable of? They may not get much from this but it's better than whatever wrath they could bestow upon them.
And like, Yo, platonic yandere SQ?
Skinner giving you a piece of candy after each check up no matter how minimal it was. Dave limiting himself by trying not to drink around you or as much if he knows he will be meeting up with you. Q Bert being wary of your sensitive hearing and puting silencers on the guns. Pava taking extra measures to make sure the food is to your liking. Bossman checking that the potential mercenaries he interviews don't have a motive to hurt you and are up to snuff with some very specific questions. Victor teaching you helpful skills if you find yourself in a tricky situation and he or the others aren't around to help. So in conclusion, no matter the circumstances they got your back, some in more subtle ways than others.
But that's if the SQ gets a hold of you first, or after, the Auditor and Phobos would be such a source of anxiety. The employees would have already known your age and have prepared for that, Phobos however? If there wasn't an age written in the file or a statement about your adolescence then he's sure to be surprised when he finds out his god is just coming of age. He would have to do so much backpedaling, not that he couldn't improvise but all those plans he made with you in mind were of you being an adult, not a “soon to be adult”. He's furious at himself if anything for not making the plans flexible enough if there needed to be changes. He had planned to take you on a tour around Nevada, a gala in your honer, a fucking press conferences. And considering the state you're in you don't even look like you could handle any of them. Ohhh. If he could die of failure it would be right then and there, but not in front of his god, despite feeling like he shot himself in the foot three hundred times.
And when the scientist trio catch wind of this, they all have pretty different reactions, Hofnarr might be curious and even eager to meet you but his concern outshines his desires once he gets the gravity of the situation. Christof, much like Hofnarr, was eager to meet you, until he realized that you're just entering adulthood. The actions of the employers enraged him that they would put you into a situation like this. And that Phobos constant attention seemed to keep you on your toes (god forbid if he makes you cry). He tries to make it better by suggesting that he's got something to show you, giving you an excuse to avoid the dictator. And Crackpot is just confused, if a bit miffed that you're hogging Phobos' attention (unintentionally) everytime you decide to come out of your room. Hofnarr would probably do something similar like Jeb by giving you something to draw on, to occupy yourself if Phobos insistent rants get annoying.
Phobos doesn't want to undermine you but by how skittish you are he can't help but baby you, of course you're nervous, this isn't your world, not your home domain, he bets that Nevada couldn't compare, and from the little he's heard from you he's right to think so.
On another note, I feel like you would accidentally discover some of your powers with the scientist boys, you would be going over statistics on a computer, bored out of your mind and nonchalantly ask “cool, but can it run Doom?”... It was history from there.
HOO, that's a heaping pile of informationone`! I do think that the Player, if an adolescent, would be considered very vulnerable to Nevada and it's share of woes. The Player would definitely have the SQ unit as protection and all of SQ making sure to take care of them. Meanwhile, the chaos of finally understanding that the god wasn't even FULLY GROWN is tough for all of them to sink into. I mean, what were you capable of becoming once you grow? I like to personally view it as young Players are typical consumers, they romp around worlds made by more experienced developers. Meanwhile, if they hone their skills enough and get the right tools together, they can develop entire digital worlds, similar to Nevada. So it's like the young Player has a potential to grow up and make worlds, which will probably make the grunts feel so shook.

In hindsight if I was brought into the madcom game I would die within three days. I would take like 50 psychic damage the moment one of the employers appeared before me, no cap just death.
And like, from what I've read if we were to go with the yandere salty route, it would still be to much, i'm an ambivert (leaning towards introvert but still) so I find joy in socializing with others depending on my mood, though i can only do it for a period of time. Sometimes I can spend a few hours, while others just a few minutes, and with how pushy some of the characters can be, it's safe to say that my battery would be at an all time low. And that's not to mention how sensitive I am to loud sounds and pain in general. I have a hard time filtering out noise and understanding whether they were directed at me or not due to apd. For example if someone were to shout out in a crowd of people, especially when the person shouting is angry, usoly im able to ignore it if it's crowded but not if im surrounded by a handful of people. So instead of understanding that the rage is directed at someone else all my brain registers is danger. Something happened and I'm the cause of it, and what do I do? I cry. And paired this with my autism it's a rollercoaster of an emotional trip.
In conclusion, I'm not built for that kind of world, minecraft suits me better.
I think any reasonable person wouldn't survive Nevada without their powers. I doubt many people are used to gunfire, without a background of using guns, and those things are LOUD. I also think that if they weren't the Player or gifted player abilities, it would be MUCH harder to survive. Not only from limited water, but limited food as well. There are certain foods that humans have to have to keep themselves alive, such as fruit to prevent onset scurvy and certain sugary levels and vitamins only available in fruits and veggies, which don't grow in Nevada. Also, humans have a very fragile immune system and would probably get sick more often. From microbes in the sand or ingesting food that has been sitting for unprecedented amounts of time. Without Player powers, a human is just a literal softie with no experienced in a post-apocalyptic hellscape. We would literally be just fodder for more experienced survivors or prey for the starving groups out in the wastes. Any human that would fall into Nevada that isn't blessed with Player powers is FUCKED.

I was thinking back on that one post where I talked extendedly about a young player finding themselves in Nevada. And although they wouldn't want to bring attention to themselves and this concept would probably fit another character better I still thought it was neat.
So you know how there's hotkeys in games to help the player make instant commands, and the player in this scenario can't make a command without saying a certain phrase out loud where everyone can hear. What if, knowing that, they made their own hotkey that's an overseer of their surroundings, reacting accordingly to any danger that might rear its ugly head when the player isn't aware or paying attention. Creating a brand new key stone, albeit much smaller than the halo. Like this picture that I was inspired by https://www.tumblr.com/fluffymintz/720867072506314752/sixpenceee-16th-century-ring-that-unfolds-into. Each ring corresponds to a command ready to go if there is a potential threat, like “god_mode”, “stop_time” or “teleport”. Anything that could help the player and simultaneously not be a detriment to the grunts surrounding them. Because if the ring were to respond to the players growing anxiety instead of the people around them and one of the commands was “kill_all” then that would only cause more problems, and anxiety.
Though if the player were to make it into a halo then I can imagine the multiple rings shifting and moving when it's in use, like an end crystal.
The way the player knows that one of the commands has been activated is through changes only they can feel or see. For god mode i headcanons that when it's activated not only do they lose the ability to feel pain and become invincible but they lose the sense of touch, smell and taste. While freezing time is more visually apparent when it's on, their vision turns slightly darker and grainy but not by much, another indicator that time has stopped is, well, the non moving people, cars etc. And teleporting is very obvious, it activates when the player falls from a great height.
Another piece of equipment that I thought would be interesting for the player to have is something akin to an encyclopedia. Except instead of it already having every known knowledge written down the player has to actively seek out the object of interest and scan it, like that one device in thaumcraft, the thaumometer. Id imagen that it can be folded into a smaller more portable form, perhaps it could be disguised as an armband. Much like the thaumometer it has gems (or whatever you want them to be) decorating its edges, they serve a purpose. If the player were to just point the thing at something or someone without one of the colorful rocks pointing upwards they would get basic information about the object. For example, height, age or if it was an item, date of its creation and how much durability is left. But if one of the things were pointing upwards then they would get more specific information about one topic. Haven't really thought about all of them but here's a few.
Red: Reveals how many this person has killed or injured, how many times they have potentially died or still carry injuries that haven't healed. With objects it's more about how dangerous they are, how strong you need to be to carry them etc.
Green: Shows a person's family tree and relations with others. Though objects aren't made the same way grunts are, they still were made or were shaped overtime, so instead of a family tree there's a timeline from its creation to now.
Blue: Reveals the person's self and what they believe in, their personality, goals, what they fight for or don't, their core elements. While for objects this shows why they were made, with what intent and purpose.
Yellow: I'm still debating about this one but I think it would be neat if it showed how a thing could hurt the player or affect them positively, or what this person's intentions are with the player.
There are two left which I can't for the life of me figure out the use of, so if you have any ideas then go right ahead, if not then thanks for reading this anyhow.
I actually really LOVE this idea! I get Magiturge vibes from this pile of informatione` and I am HERE for it! Let the Player be a mage or magical! As for them having a bestiary, I think it would be awesome and amazing! I like to visualize that the book is primarily made of blank pages, but it has sections that need to be filled in. Once the entity is encountered, the pages of the book slowly begin to fill up. There would be sections of the book dedicated to information about the entities and what catagory they fit under. Like grunt, undead, mutant, MAG, employers, or "unknown entities". The more they fight them, the better and more detailed the book entries becomes. I'm also imagining them having magical-like items that inspire their powers and behaves like multiple conduits for their code-manipulating abilities. You can also broaden this idea with summons and magical trinkets that are associated with the Player's world. Like the zodiacs or star maps of our reality. Imagine that. Player that's a fucking beast of a mage. Amazing!

I had this on my mind for a while thanks a post made by rotshop so hear me out, platonic yandere Hofnarr and Jeb, I just think it's a neat idea (I know that in canon Jeb was using Hofnarr but this is my scenario and in my scenario they are friends). I feel like Jebediah's obsession would have started a few years before he killed Phobos but he didn't show it openly, after that it only went downhill. For Hofnarr however I'd imagine that he was a lot more obvious with his fondness with you though it gets written off by many as just him being really excited that someone wants to be friends with him. He still (somehow) retains his obsession for you as Tricky and it's ten times worse.
I doubt the two would start an alliance after Hofnarr becomes Tricky without the input of their friend. If they can come up with a convincing enough argument. That is, if you'd want to associate yourself with them after what they have become.
If we were to go off the themes the two represent then you'd be death, the neutral party, peacekeeper, the only thing keeping the other two from tearing each other apart. It would take time before they even remotely started trusting each other again, but seeing how you tirelessly try to keep together a long torn apart friendship makes something klick in their heads. Maby it wouldn't be so bad if they were to bond together again, like before shit hit the fan.
They could get rid of competition, just like old times.
I do think that both Jeb and Hoff (Tricky) would see a mutual benefit for trying to keep the Player for themselves. I also agree that Jeb would slowly sink down into obsession over time, kinda like in Salty's fic where the Player is ripped away from Jeb after Phobos's downfall in order for a time skip to occur. During their time apart, Jeb goes through the whole trials of killing Hank and dealing with Project Nexus. But the player returns before he officially joins the AAHW, seeing at the end of the game he's without his halo and is very wary of the employers. Tricky on the other hand would probably decay into a form of mental torment while hoffnar's personality is slowly eroded away. Then hoffnar goes crazy, becomes a killer clown, dies, gets reanimated as a zed, learns to DJ, kills Hank, and revisits Nexus City after becoming a zed. In fact, Tricky may have been the first zed case to ever exist (if you ignore Jeb reanimating corpses in the 1st episode of the animation.) So that also means that Tricky is in Nexus City post zed outbreak and possibly may have returned to Nexus City shortly after Jeb did. Jeb was maybe even looking for Hoffnar before he discovered Hank in his ruined office. So, the two obviously know where the other is. So I think it would be of no surprise that the two would also figure (track) where the player is and both would eventually run into each other again. Tensions are high between the two, but the potential of a mutual benefit, and the remains of a hollow friendship, may just rekindle some form of tolerance between the pair. After all, Tricky is known to be nostalgic and Jeb has a lot of common enemies with Tricky. Why not kill the rivals? Just like old times.

Ok but that one post where you described the madcoms reaction to there being more than one player has been stuck in my mind for like a week so let me indulge you in my madness (warning, i haven't played any of the madcom games)
So in this scenario I imagine that player 1 and 3 are siblings, 3 being younger and 2 is their friend that got dragged in. Their strings all have different colors and give off different types of warmths.
1 strings are a strong amber orange that gives off the heat of a fier.
3 are a slight transparent string reminiscent of a spider's web, it gives you the feeling of being submerged in newly dried clothes.
And 2 has a golden glow to their strings that's hard to see, they radiate the kind of warmth you'd only get on a sunny day.
That was the only way to differentiate which one was controlling who, though overtime they could hear voices, the obscurity of the situation couldn't hold a candle to what the disembodied voices were discussing while they hacked and slashed through waves of grunts and zeds. They laughed, screamed, made fun of the unfortunate souls that got in their way, and that's coming from them, their mercenaries, wanted killers. They shouldn't feel pity because they do this for a living, but it was something about hearing someone with so much power over them be so nonchalant about having someone's else's blood on their hands that put them off. Would these beings be as merciless if they were in their way?... They didn't like thinking about it.
Though the things controlling them were all brutal in their own way they had “some” morals, supposedly and seemed displeased with having them challenged. Like how 3 would make an audible discontent sound when accidentally killing a defenseless grunt, same goes for 1 but they can brush it off more easily. Or how 2 would grumble in annoyance accompanied with an apology when they accidentally harmed their teammates.
From what they have gathered it seems that 1 is kinda the de facto leader to a fault with 3 being the local firecracker who can flip on a dime, while 2 is the tryhard. Otherwise they acted like friends but consciously or unconsciously held these principles in battle.
Despite this it was all manageable, they could distance themselves from the puppeteers while at their base because they didn't follow the trio there. That was until the entities took forms and one of the just so happen to manifested itself in their living room.
…
Besides from what Doc had heard from the trio the grunt sitting before him acted rather civilized and calm, he's heard of them cursing themself out for the smallest mistake though never taking out their anger on their vessels. Something that he found rather surprising considering their otherworldly status.
They referred to themself as player 2 but that Doc could also just call them *insert steam player name here* if he wanted something more “formal” (lets face it, no one's name on steam is formal).
The disgruntled doctor observed the grunt opposite of him. They were just about below average height and wore a black tank top and darkish gray pants combo with a red plaid jacket tied around their waist.
Doc inquired why they were here and 2 explained plain and simply, they just wanted to have fun but not to worry, they did give themselves some rules to go by that ensured that nothing would break. Doc didn't like the implications of that so he changed the subjects to the other two, where were they and should he be worried. 2 explained that they wanted to explore the world outside of where they usoly are, by their vessels' sides.
…
A smal stature resides atop of a building, their attire rather simple, only sporting a white bunny hoodie along with a black mask that was pulled down showing off their wide gleeful smile. A pair of razor sharp teeth peaked through their lips as they parted, satisfied with their work. The brush in their hand dotted across the canvas as their masterpiece appeared into the night sky above all of Nevada to see.
…
1 was making themselves at home in Phobos office chair, a mug in their hand as they skimmed through some papers they found, something about expanding the city, nothing to their interest. What appeared to be eyes visible behind their half dark red rimmed glasses darted across the paper. They wore light brown baggy pants accompanied with a leather jacket and a dark gray t-shirt underneath. They chuckled to themselves as they brought out a lighter, flicked it to life and lit the edge of the paper. Examining how the flames ate up the thin material and singed the edges.
I mean, to each their own. If you wanna make an OC story centered around Salty's AU, you can freely do so! From what you have put here, it's pretty interesting!

I had a weird ass fucking dream last night, so i was in my room laying in bed and theres something going on outside, gunshots, murder, dark red sky the usual but it was all muffled. That was until Hank Motherfucking Wimbleton climbed through my open window, he was panting heavily under his mask while scanning the room from one side to another. Like he was looking for something, and when he found me… He trapped me with his body on the soft mattress, each arm on each side of my head enclosing me in his grasp, no way of fighting back, not that I'd need it.
I was eerily calm about all this, like I was expecting his arrival.
I also wanna mention that i deliberately remember how I felt the mattress sink underneath his weight, he wasn't that heavy but still it solidified his strength.
Then he started speaking. I don't remember what he said but he sounded rather quiet, and soft spoken. It was so unnatural hearing that from him. We were so close that I could see through his red tinted glasses, and he looked at me with such adoration. Like I was the only person left alive that mattered to him, which at this point might as well be true.
There was an abrupt time skip however, but just like last time i'm in my bed and he appeared in my bedroom to straddle me underneath him.
Although much hadn't changed since our last meeting there was something there that wasn't there before, a hunger in his eyes that only i could satisfy, and… dear lord, you could only imagine the sounds that he made.
…
The “next day” i heard a disembodied female voice screaming “can you two STOP FUCKING each other every other night, im trying to study”
Ignoring the irritated woman we both just laid there, enjoying eachothers presans until the same woman said that we forgot to turn off an alarm before hell broke loose, there were so many people outside my apartment fighting each other. And what's the best way of spending an afternoon? Going on a killing spree with your lover <3
heh
So ignoring the part where Hank got horny with his clothes on, it was pretty sweet (it also didn't help that I was on the exercise bike the day prior so now my ass and legs are sore)… I have an idea for a playlist now :)
Oho hoohohoho! A rather spicy dream~!! @3@
I'm gonna assume that this playlist will have a rather saucy list of songs on it, hmm hmm~?

Update on that Tricky playlist, it's still in development so things might change in the future but here's the link to it anyway https://open.spotify.com/playlist/66OfrQmlOaR3e71zc2bxrO
On another note, im attempting at making a Hofnarr playlist but i'm having trouble with finding songs for it, i intend on having it follow a sort of narrative, from his subsequent fall into madness. Though as where it's currently at its… interesting to say the least, not exactly what I was expecting tbh, i like it.
With Tricky's playlist I focus more on the sound than the words, the latter for Hofnarr's playlist.
Hoffnar's needs to have a few weeb/anime songs in it. Maybe some moxifloxi songs (keke).

Lowkey wanna make a Tricky playlist with like hyperpop or just hyperactive songs in general, any suggestions?
Hmmmm... Jevil's theme "The world revolving", Shadxubxrn "Damage", Odatari's "Narcissistic personality disorder", Dxrk Phonk remix of "Unholy", and pretty much any old age techno song. Like the Awesome face song, Numa Numa, Hamster Dance, and any song by Parry Gripp.
