There is so much wisdom in this picture, from my then 99 year old great grandmother holding my now 22 year old sun when he was about 6.5 months. His baby shoe.

The crown that was gifted to me from my great aunt to the now 17 1/2 year old sansevieria plant. The books and hour glass that was gifted to mi at graduation in 2005. My suns children books that some are well over 34 years old, passed down from a generation and will continue to the next and lastly, the wine that my favorite male cousin/brother gifted me this past September.

Today, I celebrate #wisdom, I celebrate #godiswithinher #shecantfail. Today, I celebrate me, for being the woman the Most High God created. Today, I celebrate my Independence, Imperfection and my gift of wisdom that I gained from my #ancestors.

Today, I celebrate life, because it's Tuesday. A Tuesday I've never seen and another day I wasn't promised. 🙌🏽

I'm my biggest fan and my biggest critic.

Most days I look in the mirror and smile at my reflection. Not because I think I'm the prettiest. It's because I'm a fucking beast in my own right. No comparison, No compromise, No challenge has been placed upon me that I didn't murder. Unsure, unconfident, uncomfortable and underestimated, I killed it. Most times with doubt, much fear, with pain and with tears steaming down my face in the bathroom. However, to the world I presented comfortable, confident, certain and sure. My super power was my creator God as he strengthened my young men.... all the times I heard "Ma." I knew I couldn't give up.
