😭 - what makes them cry? do they cry easily?

Shes somewhat like Franky when he hears a touching story and starts sobbing uncontrollably but instead of overflowing tears she’ll have tears in the corners of her eyes, some may roll down her cheeks depending on how bad and/or moving what someone said was. When it comes to her own personal feelings it takes a lot of pushing for her to finally break, and she doesn’t like full on crying in front of people, but Shanks will put his cloak around her and usher her somewhere where they can be alone and she can feel comfortable to cry and they’ll talk about what’s bothering her

🍩 - favourite sweet treat?

She loves macarons, it’s the one good she didn’t have to quit when she developed an allergy to wheat. If she’s especially craving sweets, she likes ones that have a thicker layer of cream in the centre, her favourite flavours are lavender, green tea and chamomile with honey, she especially loves to enjoy them with a nice hot tea as well, though she doesn’t like any sugar in her tea at all… she doesn’t want the sweetness to take away from the flavour of the tea

🍃 - do they enjoy being in nature? what is their favourite outdoor activity?

She loves to be out in nature, when the Red Force reaches a new island often Shanks will take her out to look through the plant life, he loves seeing her devil fruit at work, she’ll study new plant life closely and despite being able to sprout the herbs for the ship, she loves to collect them… loving the fun of gardening and watching her plants grow on their own without using her devil fruit though she does have to use it sometimes like when Yasopp accidentally overwatered her cactus she’s able to revive the plants giving them the nutrients they need so she’s never to fussed, though she did end up writing a plant care guide for the men

✏️ - is there a particular quote / lyric that you associate with them?

This one had me stumped for a bit, I ended up picking three quotes of flowers I felt resonated with my insert, her deep love of plants and people, she would use plants for metaphors and a way to express deeper meanings of life and advice to people, makes her even more of the flower maiden

“Flowers always make people better, happier and more helpful; they are sunshine, food and medicine for the soul.”

“Even the tiniest of flowers can have the toughest roots.”

“In joy and in sadness, flowers are our constant friends.”

☁️ - a soft headcanon

When all the crew is past out drunk and if no one is up or sober enough to help her carry everyone to their beds, she’ll get some blankets and pillows, making sure everyone is covered and has something comfy under their head, they’re her found family so she loves them dearly and wants to take care of them, will also make breakfast that morning or most likely afternoon due to them drinking so late, they will be most likely be sleeping in. The crew is kind of like a bunch of big brothers to her except for Shanks and will return the favour, though she isn’t drunk she will sometimes fall asleep in her herbalist workshop at her desk, she gets so into her studies that she’ll end up resting her arms on the table and laying her head on them, meaning to rest for a moment but ends up falling asleep, to which they’ll cover her with a blanket, if it’s Shanks he’ll just carry her back to their shared room

💚 - what things make your oc feel comforted? hugs, kisses, food?

When Shanks pulls her into his lap, wrapping his cloak around her, she feels safe and warm in his embrace, if there’s something specific on her mind Shanks won’t push her to talk but encourage her to be open with him and let her know he’s there to listen when she’s ready. Sometimes she can’t pinpoint why she’s feeling this way, sometimes it’s just her depression, which either way Shanks is there holding her close whispering sweet nothings to her. If she’s out with the rest of the crew if she’s feeling down simply leaning against Shanks and hearing the laughter of the men and their overall conversations helps ease he heart a bit, Benn will bring her a cup of hot tea while Lucky makes her some macarons or if she doesn’t want something sweet some sashimi, while Yasopp tells her stories trying to get her to laugh, all the while she’s sitting on Shanks lap, the red haired man holding her close and letting her know how loved she is on that ship

🧊 - How does your f/o handle pressure?

I’d say Shanks handles pressure rather well, he’s laid back and often laughs off most things. I do imagine that if things ever do get to stressful he’d drink to help ease any nerves, that and ramble on while in the comfort of our cabin while I hold him close to my chest and rub his back

🌻 - How does your f/o cheer you up?

If I’m feeling down he usually pulls me into his lap and holds me close to his chest, and whisper sweet nothings to comfort me. And telling me jokes to make me smile and laugh, often the rumble of his chest from his own laugh grounding me

🌵 - How long does it take for your f/o to warm up to new people?

Shanks is a social butterfly, he isn’t naive though and won’t just talk to anyone, you have to be cautious when you’re a Yonko. But he’s a kind man, who isn’t afraid to be himself, and likes to get to know people

I just wanted to do a little something cute and dumb for people I love and care about. I have many people here who I think fondly of but I know not everyone selships or has OC's and this is for the friends who do that.

[Modern AU] Law didn’t understand why dressing up and walking around in the cold sounded like a fun idea, but his parents were the over enthusiastic type and wanted him to have every fun experience of being a child. He wore his little mad scientist outfit while his mother and father walked behind him wearing matching vampire outfits.

Other parents gave them strange looks, but Rosi and Acacia just chuckled, being into the season with one another was such a big part of their relationship. Law held his little bucket and rang the bell of one of the doors, pumpkins and lights lit up the outside. It was the first door of the route.

“Trick of treat” Law mumbled, eyes downcast, shy, and uncertain.

“Oh wow, I love your costume! Here!” The woman at the door smiled and dropped a piece of candy into the bucket, Law’s eyes lit up, little blush across his pale cheeks as he thanked the woman and scampered off to re-join his parents.

“You get free candy?”

“Yes…”

“Okay, I think I like trick or treating, next hour?” Law asked, lifting his hand waiting for Acacia to take his smaller on in theirs.

[Cannon] Pebbsie smiled as she looked around the bar, it had been decorated ready for Halloween, everything was perfect, she’d spent the day carving pumpkins, hanging streamers, placing fake spiders and bats around the tavern.

Finally opening the bar up for the evening rush, she was pleased to see the first face through the door, Shanks grinned at her, winking before the rest of his crew all piled in, sitting around the bar. Shanks sat on the bar stool and laughed at one of the pumpkins.

“Was I an inspiration?” He asked turning the pumpkin to face Pebbsie, it was a lot like him, the scars over his eye matched that of the jack o’ lantern.

“I couldn’t possibly say” She chuckled, a blush over her pale cheeks.

“I got you something, come here” He gestured her over to him, letting her sit on his knee as he dug around in his pocket, he pulled out a brooch, it was a leaf in beautiful autumn colours.

“Come on, isn’t there a line you young people use on Halloween?” He teased playfully.

“Trick of treat” She giggled, holding out her hands, a smile on her plush lips watching as he set it down, curling her hand over it gently. “Happy Halloween love”

[Modern AU] Alyona grabbed Ace’s hand, they laughed and joked as they walked to the party. They wore matching costumes, both cowboys, it was Ace’s turn to choose the outfits this year and she had a feeling he just wanted an excuse to wear his hat.

“I’m glad your actually wearing clothes this year Ace” She teased him, linking arms with her boyfriend as they got closer to his brother’s party.

“Are you? Don’t you remember last year? You couldn’t take your eyes off my chest for longer than five minutes, I was considering charging by the minute babe” Ace smirked, a playful expression on his handsome face as they walked.

“Shut up freckles” Alyona felt her face heat up, that had been a very nice costume she had to admit.

Getting to the party and being welcomes by Sabo they were soon given a drink, Ace downed half of it at once, gently pulling the girl with him into the livingroom “I heard there’s party games” they both got excited at the prospect, they loved to playfully compete with one another.

“I’ll drink you under the table Portgas!”

“You can try”

[Modern AU] “Are you sure we won’t get any trick or treaters?” Roese mumbled as she snuggled down into the blanket on the sofa watching as Law brought over a big bowl of popcorn.

“I wrote ‘go away’ on the door and we have all the lights off, if someone does knock, they will be out there waiting for a very long time” He mumbled watching as Roese moved the blanket enough for him to settle with them.

He placed the bowl between them on the couch, arm around her shoulder letting her lean against him. Law popped a few pieces of popcorn in his mouth while his girlfriend set the movie up.

“So, what’s this one about?” Law asked, pulling her closer, picking up a piece of popcorn and waiting for her to open her mouth, she hummed when she tasted the treat, munching on it. “Ah well this one’s The Circle and it’s more about people and mob mentality I guess? Morals and stuff” She loved the movie and didn’t want to give too much away.

He nodded, saying nothing more as she pressed play. Roese never liked Halloween but spending an evening on the sofa with her partner, watching movies and snacking was the best way to spend it.

[Cannon]

“Marco” he blinked when he heard the creature call his name, seeing Carys swim towards the rock he was sat cross legged on. “What’s is this thing? I think it fell from your ship; I saw so many of them perched along the railings”

Marco blinked, watching as she floated a large jack o’ lantern along the surface, it bobbed along on the gentle current, the face turning around so he could see the face, it’s splash into the water must have extinguished the candle.

“Oh this?” He picked it up, sitting it on the rock next to him as she blinked up with wide curious eyes. “We carve these on Halloween, they are said to keep away ‘Stingy Jack’ and ward away other evil spirits yoi” Marco explained, his lop-sided smile gentle, his half lidded eyes focused on the pumpkin.

“’Stingy Jack’?” Carys asked as she, with the aid of Marco joined him on the rock.

“A man who tricked the devil, he wasn’t allowed into hell so he wanders the earth, don’t worry, pirates are just a superstitious bunch yoi” He chuckled trying to reassure his partner.

“But look how fun they look with a light” He found a sharp rock and used it to dig a hole into he bottom, putting a finger up into the pumpkin and lighting it up with his healing flames.

“Oh! I like this tradition! Can we make one together?”

This ones rather hard, since I adore all his features. But a feature of his I love is his stubble, it may seem like such a small thing, but I adore it, especially since he often rubs his face against mine with it ♡♡

When he wraps his arm around my waist, pulls me into his lap or is touching me in someway, makes me all the worries in the world feel like nothing. Or if I’m having a panic attack or when my social battery runs out and he takes us out somewhere alone to hold me close and help ground me, along with words of love and reassurance that he’s there, and occasionally playing with my hair.

Similarly to the question before, he also rubs his stubble against me, since he knows that I love it. Shanks is just really good at making me feel safe in general ´͈ ᵕ `͈

𝟙𝟜) are you able to pinpoint a reason as to why you love them? what is it?

I hope I’m able to write this all down write; I’ll try keep it short as to not end up writing an Essay as to why I love this man haha.

I adore Shanks for many reasons, but one of which is that despite being a pirate, he doesn’t like needless violence. That he’ll laugh off people mistreating him (the bandits being an example), but he wouldn’t stand for anyone hurting or mistreating those that he loves and holds dear, and will fight for them. This compassion of his can also be brought back to when he told Rockstar that his honour isn’t worth his life, reminding him that his life is more important. How that despite being this infamous Pirate and Emperor of the Seas, he isn’t merciless or cruel, but actually has heart of gold and very good person. But also sacrificing his arm in order to save Luffy, and how he didn’t lose his arm in a moment of weakness but made a bet on a new era, showing how much he believes in Luffy. There’s so many things I absolutely love about this man, but I’d just be rambling on for ages so I’ll leave it here ♡(˵ᵕ̴᷄ ᗜ ᵕ̴᷅˵)

🌃Who’s the heavier sleeper if either of you are?

“Definitely me, the men have told that I snore loudly too” he says scratching the back of his neck “I’m surprised she manages to sleep through it, although I’m fast to wake u and be by her side when I know she’s woken up from a nightmare”

💤Does S/I have a hard time sleeping? How do you help them out?

“Pebbsie struggles with insomnia, so I do what I can to help ensure that she sleeps well. She usually makes some chamomile tea for the two of us and I draw us both a warm bath before we retire for the night. In order to help her sleep I usually hold her close and rub her back, talking to her until she eventually falls asleep”

🖤Is S/I more affectionate in public or private?

“She’s a lot more affectionate in private, it’s not that she’s against pda, but she just gets rather bashful initiating anything in front of the men, probably doesn’t help that the men tend to hoot and holler in attempt to embarrass me- but it usually just makes her flustered” he says swirling the whisky in his glass “In private though, she’s a lot touchier, I especially love when she holds me close to her chest and plays with my hair”

Shanks laughs a bit to himself before responding “You should have seen her in our early stages of our relationship, her face would be so flustered from simply leaning her head against me, it was cute” he says his laugh mellowing out “She still gets a little flustered from time to time, but not as much as she did before. She adores me giving her affection, probably just as much as she loves giving me affection— she especially loves when I rub my face against her, as she loves feeling of my stubble on her face” he says lightly scratching his cheek

“Calling me out I see, I love teasing her, her flustered face and how tries to hide it by burying her face in her hands or how she can’t help but to laugh… with her how cute her reactions are, how can I help myself” He says chuckling lost in thought just thinking about it “Although I know everything has its limits, I make sure not to push my luck, don’t want it to have the opposite affect and make her upset— Pebbsie on the other hand doesn’t tease all that much, but when she does… she never fails to catch me of guard, she usually will call me ‘Captain’ when she teases me, but that usually bites her in the butt and leaves her with a whole new problem”

“Funnily enough she doesn’t do much for her birthday, treats it like an normal day— but that doesn’t stop me and the men from at least treating her to some drinks that night” he says with a wide proud grin “And I may get her little something despite her telling me I don’t have too, last time I got her a new teacup set and a new tea to try out”
