pros of being a bastard: getting to be gay
#I wanted to draw something tender and this happened#shea and aerin are actually au versions of ocs I’ve had for like 10 years#I’ve had an asoiaf au off and on for them since I first read the books in 2015 but this current version is the most developed#no matter what they always end up together. I made them at a time when I needed to believe in happy endings and I’ll stick by that#ik twoiaf is fucked up and dark but it was MY escapist fantasy as a teen and I cannot change that only embrace it#I could ramble about these two for hours#they r my specialest little guys#queerness in the au is a little different than canon#bc there’s been more targaryens there’ve been targs who’ve been gay + played with gender more openly#and got away with it by being targaryens/having dragons#so for the targs/anyone of valyrian descent being queer is kind of seen as like. ok. whatever#especially for people like aerin who’s a bastard so if anything him being queer is a bonus#asoiaf au#asoiaf oc#shea reed#aerin storm#my art#digital art#illustration#procreate#artists on tumblr
