y7 review (spoilers, long)

i liked y7's story a lot! felt pretty different from the rest of the games but it felt refreshing and made ichiban FEEL different to kiryu which is important. i liked having a bunch of characters it was awesome to see my party interact with eachother.

Thematically it was really good! not as straightforward as like, y6 for example obviously. but like i think it used repeating locations and actions really well; reaching out a hand, heian tower etc. that and i think the actors on a stage metaphor was executed really really well and really connected arakawa's dad to arakawa to ichiban.

i liked how ichiban and masato parallel kiryu and nishikiyama A LOT. i think the fact that masato is the one with a dragon and ichiban is the one with the fish is such a simple but effective way of symbolizing how they were switched too. Ok this one might be stretch but the way that kiryu did The Sera Thing From Yakuza 0 for ichiban was so fucking cool. You Know What I Mean!!!!!!!!!!

LOTS of moving pieces in the story but i feel like it didn't get too too confusing. it helps that everyone's designs are so cool so you can differentiate whose who. like ichioda served nuclear amounts of cunt especially hellooooooo

i appreciated how it didn't run away from political topics. i can see why weirdos got mad about it because its very explicitly pro sex worker's rights, immigrant's rights etc. Like, while it didnt say anything Crazy Revolutionary, it's still definitely super relevant and controversial

The localization in it was interesting; they definitely took way more liberties with it. which was really funny to hear ichiban talking like my millennial sister. i think it worked for the most part but sometimes i feel like it got very... 2020. i feel like it might age a little cringily compared to the rest of the series because of that. not the end of the world but yea

WOMEN are in it also and theyre actually written decently for once. i wish we could have played as seong-hui i dont care that it doesnt make sense shes so coolllllll. saeko my friend saekoooooo Yayyyyy i like herrrrrr

anyway! yeah i liked y7. i feel like i cant really rank it with the others until ive let it absorb a little more, that and its really different vibe wise from the rest of the series so its hard. But yeah. ichiban world

1. Sorry not sorry by Demi Lovato

i don’t know why i lke this song honestly. But the music and the sound are pretty catchy and i can enjoy it. AND, after i listen the whole song. That song is a badass. WHY? this song is so relateable. it is a savage dude! it is like she is telling people that she doesn’t care about shits that happens to her haters. So I am 

2. Back To You by Louis Tomlinson featuring Bebe Rexha

yeah maybe this song shows someone that can’t move on from the ex. i don’t deny it that this is so me sometimes

3. New Rules by Dua Lipa

as we can see from the title, this song shows us the way to get over someone in the past. maybe it is hard at the first time. But at least we try and pratice!

4. Attention by Charlie Puth

at the beginning of the song we can hear bass sound played and it is soo catchy. and i can say from all the songs that i share this one has the best music HAHAHA. bc what? the bass song is dope. the message from this song is we have to be careful with someone that come to our life, maybe they just want attention. Like they just wanna stay for a while and then they go after they get what they want

5. Mama - Jonas Blue 

the first time i heard this song is when Jonas Blue came to Indonesia and perform this song at one of television station (NET TV) birthday. The lyrics and the sound are really cool and easy to sing. AND AND AND, William Singe voice is really coolllllll
