Housemates | Leah Williamson x Reader
synopsis: just platonic housemate things x
warnings: kind of suggestive
word count: 1.9k
✦ . ⁺ . ✦ . ⁺ . ✦
You couldn't sleep.
You have been lying in bed, in the dark, for the past hour just staring up at the ceiling. You tried to distract yourself with your phone, scrolling through tiktok for a few minutes before you eventually got bored and decided the silence was better company.
But now the silence was too much.
Shaking off your duvet, you heft yourself out of bed, mentally cursing the cool rush of cold air. You debated slipping on a pair of pyjama pants, but decided against it. You only ever went to sleep with an oversized t-shirt. Braless, and pants-less.
You don't even bother slipping on your slippers, opting to just tiptoe your way out of your own room. Feeling for the doorknob, you twist it open.
A dull, gray light filters through the windows, a weak moon casting long shadows across the living room as you dart past, tiptoeing across marble floors. You regret not wearing your slippers.
You squint in the dark, recognising the faint outline of the sofa, its upholstery frayed in places. Next to it the dark wood surface of the coffee table is engulfed by lingering shadows. You couldn’t even guess the time— if it was late night, or early morning.
Your footsteps were unhurried and confident as you climb the stairs, step by step. It was almost like you were in a trance. The short journey was natural, instinctive— habitual, almost.
There were definitely perks to having such a great housemate. When you first moved to London, you weren’t expecting to live with a footballer. Your older sister had told you that an old friend of hers from sixth-form had a spare room to rent out, and you immediately jumped at the chance to live in central London for a really, really good price.
You certainly weren’t expecting the old friend to be Leah Williamson, captain of the women's national team.
Making your way to the only room in the second floor, you push the door open with zero hesitation, as if opening the pages of a well-worn book, already prepared for what you were about to see behind the doors.
You see a mass of dark hair peaking out of the covers first, dark and inviting.
The only light that spills into the room is faint. Shadows of moonlight peek through the edges of the curtains. It enters the room, pooling into the corners, tracing the outlines of the furniture in ghostly, quiet silver. The streams of light touch the edges of the bedspread and trace the curves of the headboard, highlighting the subtle grain of the dark wood interior.
Tiptoeing over to one side of the bed, you clear your throat loudly before you shake the figure awake.
“Wake up.”
A quiet moan sounds from beneath the covers. You roll your eyes, already annoyed at the extra company. You’ve done this routine far too many times at this point. You feel for a bony shoulder and nudge it again, a little harsher this time.
“Oi. Up you get, c'mon” You raise your voice a little louder. Since when did scaring random women out of your housemates' bed become your part-time job?
The stranger finally wakes up. She opens her eyes, squinting up at you, a look of annoyance written all over her face.
Sadly for her, you could not find it in you to care one bit.
She was pretty, to be fair. Minus the smudged black eyeliner decorating her face and the pillow lines across her cheeks.
Must've been a wild night then.
You ignore the sudden twinge you felt in your chest.
The mystery woman speaks. “w-whats going on?”
Good thing she’s not a screamer like some of the others.
"Did you not hear me the first time? Get up and leave"
The woman turns to Leah who is still fast asleep and nudges her, as if asking for help. These woman are all the same. You couldn't help but roll your eyes, shifting on your feet. The floor was cold and you’d ideally like to be underneath warm covers right now.
"L-Leah..." All she gets is a groan of annoyance. The woman in question shifts further away from her bedmate until she is nearly at the end of the bed. You couldn't help but chuckle, quickly masking it with a hand over your mouth when a noise unintentionally escapes your lips.
Unfortunately for you, this one was stubborn and desperate.
She fishes her arm out from under the covers and shakes Leah’s shoulder even harder. When she realises that her one night stand wasn’t budging, she finally sits up against the headboard.
The blanket falls slightly off of her frame, exposing one bare shoulder.
There’s that weird tight feeling in your chest again.
You advert you eyes to the sleeping blonde with her back turned towards you. You were tempted to grab a pillow and start smacking her until she woke up. The annoying fucker.
"Who even are you?" The woman pipes up, her voice scratchy, like nails on a chalk board.
"Her fiancée."
You could've cackled straight to her face at the way the woman's eyes widen like saucers, looking back and fourth between you and the blonde’s back.
But then you hear a low chuckle from the other side of the bed.
Thank god.
“Leah, tell your little friend here to leave”
The Lionesses captain rolls over to face you the both of you, still blinking the sleep out of her eyes. She raised her arms up to stretch, giving you a peak of a black Nike sports bra.
The small smile she gives you is full of Williamson snark, as if she fully anticipated the sight before her. You weren't new to kicking her one-night endeavours out of her bed, and it's almost as if she found some weird enjoyment out of this.
Finally she address her new buddy. “You should go”
“Excuse me?” The audacity of this woman.
“You heard my fiancée, get out.”
The woman doesn't wait a minute longer. She huffs, throwing off the blanket muttering under her breath. You swear you heard her utter “bastard” somewhere in there.
Luckily, she was semi-dressed, wearing a strapless bra and a pair of underwear. You had seen far too many naked bodies before and you would ideally like to not see any more.
She grabs her clothes littered all over the floor, half-assedly throwing them on as she fumbles with buttons and zippers. Her movements were sharp, impatient, as she darts all over the room. Without a glance back at the two of you, she scurries out, slamming the door behind her.
Turning back to the blonde, you find her sitting up and already staring at you. Seeing her one-night stands run around like headless chickens the morning after was the norm for the blonde. While she explicitly states that she’s in for a good time, not a long time, others do still like to push their luck.
Luckily, you’re there to snap them back to reality.
"Well...she seemed nice"
The England captain rolls her eyes, flopping back on the bed. "You scared her off"
Scoffing, peeling back the covers and slide in the now empty space beside her. The spot has been kindly warmed up for you, how nice. “Want me to call her back in here then—?”
You make a move to get back out of bed, but Leah grabs your wrist, tugging you down and draping the covers back over you.
“Nahh, I’ve got you now. Can’t sleep?”
“No.” You sit up, leaning half of your body up against the headboard. You’ve been in and out of sleep the past couple of hours. “That’s why I’m in your bed”
“To talk?”
You side-eye her, sensing an accusatory undertone. “Yeah. To talk”
“Besides,” You poke her on the arm. "I’ve got to keep my fiancée in check"
You share a laugh.
"Wasn't as bad as the time I called you my wife" Leah chuckles, low and breathy. She turns to you, sharing a smile as you both reminisce the pure look of horror on that poor woman's face.
Fun times.
Before you could say anything else, Leah moves over, laying her head on your chest and getting comfortable again. She had the worst case of bedhead, you think to yourself as you look down at the mess of blonde locks.
You smile as you run your fingers gently through the soft strands of blonde.
She hums at the action, her body visibly relaxing. She seemed to take it as a sign to scoot closer to you, so she does. She drapes an arm across your waist, dragging you closer to her own body, snuggling further into your side. The blanket wasn't the only thing offering you warmth right now but you ignore that fact for now.
You both bask in the silence for a minute. While you were preoccupied, trying to comb through her hair, you failed to notice sly fingers curling under your oversized t-shirt.
Your breath hitches as a warm finger strokes the skin by your hip. For a split second you freeze, but then you remember it's just Leah.
It’s just your housemate.
Her finger continues to caress the lace resting on your skin before she makes a humming sound again, to herself, as if in deep thought.
After a while, she speaks again. Her finger not having left your skin. "This is new”
You hum in agreement. It was indeed new. A cheeky little purchase from Agent Provocateur, a gift to yourself after the shitty week you’ve had.
“It's lace,” a finger hooks into the band, pulling it away from your skin briefly. "…and satin, huh"
Her fingers dance across the scallop lace details by your hips, caressing the material like this is a normal occurrence between housemates. The air between you is thick with the weight of what isn’t being said.
You let her, selfishly enjoying her delicate touch against your skin.
"yeah," clearing your throat, you squeeze your legs together for a moment, praying she didn't notice. But you doubt that when the gentle touches move down to your bare thigh, massaging the tense flesh.
You try to ignore the urge to keep your leg still instead of pressing it further into her palm, a greedy little thing. Her touch is soothing and natural. As if this is all a regular occurrence. You continue, "It's from their new collection— it’s pink”
You're not sure why you felt like you had to share that information. It's almost as if you were tongue-tied and can only focus on the fingers still tracing patterns on your skin.
Leah shifts slightly, squinting up at you. Pretty blue eyes meet yours, scanning, searching for something. The air between you thickens, charged.
"yeah?" she murmurs, her voice low and husky. Traces of sleep still linger in her voice and you find yourself oddly lulled by the sound of it.
You nod, adverting your gaze. Lately, you've found yourself unable to meet her eyes at times. You focus on combing her hair back, the bangs she had cut short a few months ago now long enough that it drapes over her eyes.
She continues to look up at you, cerulean blue eyes almost yearning for your attention again. You couldn't ignore them from your peripheral, so you will yourself to meet them with your own.
Whatever she sees in your eyes seem to dictate her next move. She drops her gaze to where her fingers are slowly pulling up your t-shirt, exposing bare skin, until they grant her a peek of magenta pink lace.
“oh yeah,” She agrees, more to herself. As if it was necessary for her to see it with her own to eyes.
She smirks that annoyingly attractive smile before she lets the shirt drop back down over your hips. You can almost taste the air she breathes, a sharp sweetness that clings to your tongue. “s’nice, baby.”
Leah runs her hands over your hips, above the shirt. She’ll keep the memory of pretty pink against your bare skin tucked safely in the back of her mind; cradled in the quiet, sacred corners of her thoughts, where nothing but longing stirs.
She then slides her fingers back under the material again, keeping them there, her touch less hesitant and firmer this time. You won’t be surprised if you find finger marks around your hips and thighs tomorrow morning.
You feel her thumb start to rub circles on your bare skin again, moving greedily against the lace. Her breath fans your neck, close enough that you could just about feel her lips, whispering a secret only meant for you. “I like those on you"
oh to be platonic housemates with a hot football player (who also happens to notice when you’re wearing new underwear) x

You watch as your little brother storms through the doors of the Great Hall, Hermione hot on his heels.
You want to move—but you’re torn between chasing after Harry and his angel of a best friend, or turning around and hexing his dimwitted doorknob of another.
Ever since Harry’s name was pulled out of the Goblet of Fire, it’s like the whole school has turned on him. And no one worse than his very own best mate, Ron Weasley.
And of course when Ron is upset, everyone else has to be too.
He’d started a row with Harry in the middle of breakfast, and when he’d lost it on Hermione for stepping in and defending your brother—Harry had reached his limit and walked away. No doubt because he’d been seconds away from socking Ron a good one.
And you’re honestly not too far behind him, but your big sister instincts ultimately win out and you rush out of the hall in hopes of catching up to the younger Gryffindors before they’re out of sight.
Your head swivels from left to right as soon as you burst through the doors, but to no success. And with the amount of hidden passageways and corridors in this castle—you’re shite out of luck.
So caught up in looking for any clues as to which way they may have gone, you completely miss the arrival of another person.
“C’mon, sweetheart—there’s no use looking for them now.” George’s voice rings out gently as he steps in front of you. His large hand falls to your shoulder and squeezes, a familiar feeling that calms you.
You lean into his touch—seeking his comfort, but shake your head in denial. “I have to try, Georgie. He’s my brother.”
“He’ll be alright, sweetheart. Hermione’s got him.” He murmurs against your hairline as he places a gentle kiss on your forehead, his hand rubbing up and down your arm soothingly.
“You hardly even touched your plate before mini Potter was storming off. Come back and eat. Give him some time to cool off, yeah?” He coaxes gently and you let out a soft sigh.
“If I go back in there now, I’m afraid you’ll be walking out with one less brother.” You murmur quietly as you look up at him, earning a soft chuckle from your boyfriend.
“That’s okay, still got four of ‘em left.” He jokes quietly, wrapping his arms around your waist. “Besides, I’m pretty sure Ginny’s beat you to it, darling.”
That makes you smile, and you pull away from him to peer at the doors—as if trying to see through them.
“She throw a Bat-Bogey yet?” You ask curiously, the smile on your face a testament to how upset you are with Ron right now.
Normally, you’re like two peas in a pod—mainly because Ron knows if he’s on your good side, George won’t prank him.
You know that’s the real reason he talks to you, but you don’t really care.
Ron can be particularly nasty if he’s on bad terms with a person—proven by this morning’s lovely show, and you’d rather not deal with that sort of nuisance; so you entertain him.
But all of that is out the window now. Ron has gone too far this time—accusing Harry of deliberately putting his name in the Goblet of Fire and cheating. As if he needs another threat to his life after all that he’s already been through. Ridiculous.
“Not yet, but her hand was looking pretty twitchy before I ran out.” George’s voice is laced in amusement now, as he comes up behind you and gently steers you toward the Great Hall.
You smile softly. “You always know what to say to make me feel better.”
George chuckles. “Comes with the job of being your boyfriend, sweetheart. One promise of Weasley-on-Weasley violence, check.”
“Well now that makes me feel bad.” You frown softly as you walk through the doors.
“Don’t. He had it coming.” He squeezes you gently before smirking. “And plus—Fred and I have been waiting for an excuse to prank ickle Ronniekins without making you mad.”
As the Gryffindor table comes back into view and you find that Ginny has in fact casted an absolute wicked Bat-Bogey Hex while you were gone, you smile.
George’s words ring in your ear as a thought occurs and you turn to look at him—momentarily ignoring the chaos the flying bats are causing among the students and staff.
“You know what? Consider him out of my protection. You and Fred can prank him as much as you want from now on.” You declare.
This will be your get back at Ron for being a little shite to Harry. Only you are allowed to be mean to your little brother and get away with it.
George positively beams down at you as he places a fat kiss against your forehead and then looks over to his twin.
“Hear that, Freddie!? My witch gave us the go ahead on ickle Ronniekins!” He shouts, and you can’t help but laugh as you watch Fred pump his fists in triumph.
As you settle down at the table beside George and watch the Professors struggle to help Ron fight off the bats, you scan the table until you find Colin Creevey.
“Colin!” You call out, gaining his attention. “Do me a favour and take a picture of this, yeah? I’m sure Harry’s gonna love it.”
The amused smile on your little brother’s face when he looks at the picture later that day in the common room proves you correct.
“Figured since you couldn’t be there to see it in all its glory, I could get you the next best thing.” You shrug casually, before smirking.
“Oh, and the twins are working on a few ideas to make Ron’s life a bit more…entertaining for the next few weeks.” You say lightly.
Harry looks up to where Fred and George are sitting at a table, quietly discussing as they both pour over a parchment.
After a moment, he turns to smile at you, all traces of anger due to Ron’s awful behaviour absent from his expression—at least for the time being, until Ron inevitably opens his mouth again.
“You’re a great big sister, you know that?” Harry says quietly, and you chuckle.
“Obviously. We Potters never do anything by halves.” You smirk.
“Except for boyfriends!” George suddenly calls out as he looks up from the table and winks at you. “Get it, sweetheart? Because you’re dating a twin?”
You shake your head in fond amusement as you look at your boyfriend. “I got it, Georgie.” You smile, holding back a laugh.
He blows you an air kiss and you catch it before blowing one back in return. He smirks, before you both refocus on your respective brothers.
Harry is already looking at you by the time your head turns, and his smile is smaller now—but also softer.
“George is good for you. I’m glad you have him.” He says quietly, and you feel your heart warm.
By the time your little brother had entered Hogwarts, you and George had already been dating—and with all the crazy shenanigans that’s been going on ever since Harry’s first year…you two never really had a conversation about how he felt about it.
You know he never had a problem with your relationship—he would’ve said something if he had; but to actually hear him verbally approve you and George fills you with a particular joy you only ever feel when it involves your boyfriend.
“I’m glad I have him too.” You murmur softly as you glance back at the aforementioned wizard.
“No one loves harder than a Weasley, you know.” You add on as you look back at your brother.
“No one hates harder than one too, apparently.” He grumbles, and just like that—his face is darkening all over again as he thinks of Ron.
You sigh softly and wrap your arm around his shoulder, smiling when he lets you. The Dursleys did their number on the both of you, but it was worse for Harry—with physical touch being one of the things he sometimes gets a little finicky about.
Both you and Hermione have been working overtime throughout the years to get him used to it, and you’re proud to say that the progress is there.
Harry’s first instinct is to usually shy away from touch when he’s angry, but rather than pull away this time—he leans into your warmth.
“Ron is…Ron, and I have no doubt that Hermione can and probably already has given you a more in depth explanation on why he’s being a prat—so I won’t even bother trying.” You smile gently, before continuing.
“But what I will tell you is that sometimes friends fight. And it’s messy and it sucks, but it also strengthens the bond between you.” You pat him consolingly.
“I’m not saying you two are gonna make up tomorrow—even I know Ron’s too much of a git for that. But you will eventually.”
“How can you know that, though?” Harry asks quietly.
You shrug gently. “Call it big sister instinct, or the fact that you two have been through more things together in the past three years than most people go through in a lifetime. Whatever it is, you two are going to be just fine.”
Harry relaxes at that, and as the twins join you on the couch—George pulling you into his lap, and Hermione comes bursting through the common room rambling about what she read in the library about the Triwizard Tournament rules—you look back at your brother.
He’s watching the twins—who are now rattling off ideas to Hermione about how to get him out of the tournament, and you can tell that he’s touched by their efforts.
You lean into Harry to give him one last word of big sister advice. “Ron’s poor behaviour is more than upsetting, but he’ll come around eventually. In the meantime—you’ve got a pretty solid group of friends right here.”
You gesture to Hermione and the twins, and hold up the picture of Ginny casting a Bat-Bogey at Ron.
It’s not lost on either of you that three of the four people you pointed out are Weasleys, and Harry smirks.
“No one loves harder than a Weasley, indeed.”

New Signing, New Beginning Part 7
Mia Larsen was Barcelonas new summer signing
Alexia Putellas is a club legend who just can't seem to talk to her
Mia was staying with Keira the night of the El Classico, she was relaxing on her sofa watching the TV as Keira was getting the spare room ready, something she hovered to help with but was scolded so skulked away. There was some Spanish soap on the television her grandparents watched religiously, she found herself invested and if not home to catch it had them record the episode for her. She smiled at the text she got from her Gran assuring her she was recording the episode for her incase Keira didn’t watch it.
“Hey” Kiera spoke as she came into the living room, she looked at the TV “Oh god you like this too?” Keira flopped onto the sofa, “Alexia loves it, her and Lucy used to always talk about it, she used to watch it, I haven’t a clue what’s going on ever”
“Why did you not just put subtitles on?” Mia spoke like it was the most obvious suggestion and it probably was
“She wouldn’t let me, she said I would pick up Spanish better if I didn’t have them on” Mia giggled moving her head to look at Keira before her attention turned right back to the episode, “Not that has proved to be true”
“It’s nice you two are still friends”
“There was no bad blood there, we just.. ran our course I guess. Ona makes her so happy, and she’s a good person. She helps me a lot with my Spanish”
Mia hummed, “I noticed that, Aitana has the thankless task of the Catalan I’ve noticed”
“We don’t all grow up in multi lingual houses Mia” Mia smiled, “I think Aita has given up, to be fair it just wasn’t going in at all, languages has never been my thing”
“You understand a lot”
Keira nodded, “Yeah I understand it just can’t speak it” Keira pointed to the Tv, “Thought you were watching this”
“It’s fine, my gran text she’s recording it for me”
Keira swooned, “That is so adorable”
“Yeah.. she’s the best”
Both looked as there was tapping at the door, Keira furrowed her brows as Mia looked back to her silently asking are you going to get that, Keira pulled herself off the sofa and towards the door she pulled it, “Oh, hi” she smiled at Alexia at her door, Mia hadn’t turned around to see who was at the door she just snuggled under her blanket that little bit more.
She felt her body get goosebumps when she heard that voice, one she’d not heard in some time now, it had been maybe 4 days since they’re confrontation, Mia had lost count of the nights she’d laid awake replaying it over and over in her head. What she would say when Alexia made the move to make it less awkward between them again. If she had the chance. Mia had become an expert in not being where Alexia was until today.
Alexia opened her mouth to ask her question when she got the sweetest smile on her lips, “You watch this? Lucy said you hated it”
“Oh um” Keira looked and from here you couldn’t actually see Mia, “No.. Mias here, she watches it” Keira silently gained Alexia’s attention her eye contact told her to go say hello, “What did you need?”
“Oh, I needed sugar.. please”
Keira nodded, “I’ll put some in a cup”
“Gracias”
Mia sat tense whether the captain would come acknowledge her or not, she knew she was here but there conversation moved past Mia’s presence quite quickly. Mia’s chin rose to look above her, feeling her presence, her attention was fully focused on the show, Mia lowered her head back down. For a second she thought Alexia had pointedly come over to actively ignore her, “Hola” her voice was timid, Alexia was fearful she’d get the angry face from Mia that had played on repeat in her dreams.
Mia swallowed, “Hola” that came out quieter than she intended, Mia found herself wanting to make small talk but she figured she’d let Alexia fill the silence, she obviously came over for a reason. Maybe actually mustering up the courage to apologise, who knows.
Alexia glanced as Keira appeared with a cup, “Gracias” Alexia stared at the sugar in the cup, “You were great today”
“Thank you” Mia spoke softly, Alexia waited for her to say something else, smile at her, just even acknowledge she was stood behind her but she never. Alexia admitted defeat despite her abysmal attempt and retreated back to her apartment a few floors up.
“Mia” Keira said softly as she sat back down
“I know i did wrong but she started it”
“Are you 12?”
Mia smiled, “No, but she loves reminding me she’s the captain so she can make this right that’s what a captain should do”
+
Mia was fiddling with her shorts as she walked down the corridor, “Bon Dia she rose her head and Alexia was right in front of her. Alexia smiled ever so slightly, she really wanted to make amends with Mia but she just didn’t know where to start with it.
“Bon Dia” Mia lowered her head again and went walking straight by her, Alexia took a breath turned grabbed her hand before Mia even knew what was happening she found herself in the meeting room door shut and Alexia blocking the exit. “I’m not doing this with you again”
“Sit down”
“No” Mia fought back, “Why should I sit down?”
“Sit” Alexia rose her voice slamming the chair back out from under the table, “Down”
The girls in the locker room next door fell silent hearing Alexia raise her voice, Keira swallowed there was only one person Alexia would speak to like that. There was only one other person missing.
“Sitting down isn’t going to happen, what, do you want” Mia had her back up, and rightfully so here Alexia was speaking to her like shit again. Mia could feel all these emotions swirling around her body as they stood silently neither making a move Alexia looking everywhere but her as she searched for some words to say.
Mia silently urged Alexia just to make this right, apologise, do something because holding her hostage in the meeting room wasn’t achieving anything. It was pointless. Futile. Fruitless. It was getting them no where. It wasn’t achieving anything. It was just building more anger and resentment towards the captain on Mias part.
“This is stupid” Mia moved by Alexia, she didn’t mean to bump into her as she opened the door.
“Stop” Alexia slammed the door back shut, turning Mias body to face her. They were incredibly close, Alexia could feel Mia’s breath. She was lost in every sense Mia was infiltrating. Her touch, her smell, her sight. The words weren’t coming yet again and she could feel Mias anger building again.
“Say something then” Mia whispered into the smallest gap between them, Alexia practically pushing her against the door.
“Please, just, sit down”
Mia put her hands on Alexia’s stomach forcing some distance, “That’s not what you needed to say” Mia slipped out the door making sure to slam it, the girls in the locker room heard the door slam followed by something clattering. Alexia had kicked a chair. Mia appeared in view walking straight through the locker room.
“Mia” Keira spoke getting to her feet
“I’m fine” Simply stated before heading out to the gym for today’s recovery session. It was Keira and Ingrid that went after her.
Alexia was noticeably missing for some time, she arrived finally her eyes scanning to see where Mia was. She was tucked in the corner on the treadmill, Pere talking to her, she didn’t say a word however. She was just nodding, she got a little smile towards the end.
Alexia plonked herself down between Mapi and Patri to began stretching, “I need your help” she directed at Patri, “I” Alexia looked to Patri and to Patri, her friend looked anguished. “I don’t know what to do, I keep making it worse.” The pain in Alexia’s face and voice was evident, the spaniard clearly torn apart about the way her friendship or lack there of with Mia was going.
“What happened?”
“I pulled her into the office, she wouldn’t sit down” Alexia looked like she was almost going to have a panic attack recounting the story.
“You shoved her into a door?” Patri asked
Alexia’s head dropped, “She’s never going to forgive me”
Patri put her hands on the captain’s neck yanking her to kiss her temple, “You need to speak to her, she’s just a person Ale why do you find it so hard to just speak to her”
Alexia shrugged, she knew she’d finally figured it out, but she would never get the opportunity to explain to Mia she doubted now.
+
Alexia sat nervously in the restaurant waiting on an arrival, Patri told her to be here and she’d get Mia here. Alexia looked at the time and she should have been here by now, maybe she’d arrived seen it wasn’t in-fact Patri she was meeting and just left.
Her head rose and she froze much like Mia had, their eyes locked over the restaurant, Mia instantly knew. Her dinner date wasn’t Patri. It was Alexia all along. She did think it was odd the restaurant choice Patri had suggested but it became clearer. A waiter approached Mia as Alexia rose to her feet, she told him with a smile she was meeting a friend and she’d seen her. That smile quickly dropped however as she began closing the distance to the table way at the back Alexia stood awkwardly.
“Buenas Noches” Alexia said softly watching as Mia took her seat, she lowering herself back down. She hoped they could work this out.
Mia placed her bag on the floor took off her jacket and poured herself a glass of water, Alexia felt it was a good start she’d at least stayed. It was a good sign.
“Don’t blame Patri”
Mia sipped her water finally looking at Alexia, “Who else am i to blame?”
Alexia shrugged, “Me i guess, I asked her to get you here so we could talk” Mia simply nodded as her glass was lowered back to the table
“Talk then” Mias attitude wasn’t helping Alexia’s sweaty palms but she knew it was justified. She had to ignore it. She needed to start the ball rolling tonight in making this amends with Mia.
“I don’t know how to speak to you” Alexia just started if she over thought what she was going to say or how to say it, it wouldn’t come out, “And I know it sounds stupid because we’ve had conversations but” Alexia stuttered slightly, “I feel like.. you are the only person that’s ever come here that when you look at me you aren’t looking at Alexia Putellas, you’re looking at.. me” Mia lowered her gaze, “I’m not used to that, and it makes me feel vulnerable around you. I don’t let myself be vulnerable around many people especially people i’ve just met. It scares me. And. I don’t know why but my natural reaction is to just be mean to you and i don’t know why. And i hate myself for it, i really wish i wouldn’t do that”
Mia rose her eyes back to Alexia’s as they were interrupted, Alexia ordered the wine she knew Mia liked when asked about food Alexia checked Mia knew what she wanted and they ordered. Mia sat back looking around the restaurant she’d never been here before, she looked back to Alexia. “Me to”
Alexia swallowed, “I’m sorry”
Mia softened almost instantly, she didn’t speak as the waiter brought over their wine and poured them each a glass, Mia gladly sipped hers needing the courage. She watched as Alexia looked past her out into the restaurant, Mia didn’t know how it got to this and maybe her avoiding Alexia only proved to deepen the tensions. “I don’t actually think your a dick by the way” Alexia moved her eyes to Mia, “Maybe a little bit but id had quite a bit to drink and i was out of order, i shouldn’t of spoken to you like that ever let alone in-front of the team”
Alexia let herself curl her lips ever so slightly, “I don’t even know what you mean by dick”
Mia lowered her head as she smiled, “In England we use it as an insult or to describe someone who’s being not very nice or aren’t nice, it’s a harsher way of saying jerk basically”
Alexia lifted her chin briefly now understanding, “Well as you say, I was being, a dick” Mia laughed, “What’s funny?”
“Just your accent when you speak English” Alexia tilted her head, “It’s cute” Alexia blushed, this was going better than Alexia thought it would be, even if Mias laugh was at her expense. Mia silently tore off some bread as she chewed she felt maybe she owed it to Alexia to tell her the truth. “You know when you asked me what Olga wanted”
“That was none of my business i shouldn’t of asked”
“It sort of is your business” Alexia’s face pulled in confusion, “As Captain… she wants me at Madrid”
“What?”
Mia shrugged, “She said if i say the word Toril would put an offer in in the January window”
“You want to go?” Mia simply shook her head eating some more bread, “Did you say that?”
Mia nodded, “Despite it appears it’s your life’s mission to make me hate it here, I like it, i enjoy the football”
“I am sorry”
Mia nodded finally making eye contact, “I know. But, we’ve been here before”
Alexia knew her apology was appreciated but she also knew her actions from here on out would speak louder. She needed to not let herself try to push Mia away just because she was infatuated with her in a way she never had with someone before. Mia was different. She knew that. She knew she’d be punching to even attempt to pursue Mia but the way she’d been behaving, it was never going to happen.
Patri had told Alexia Mia thought she was attractive. It gave Alexia hope.
“You do realise your now down a midfielder” Alexia rose her head from dipping her bread, “I’m going to kill Patri”
Alexia smiled, “I made her do it”
Mia hummed, “Bet the capitana line came out” Mia rose her eyes, “Am i really that scary to you that you couldn’t just speak to me”
Alexia shook her head, “You make me nervous”
Mias forehead wrinkled in response, “Why?”
Alexia shrugged, “Everyone else always seems to be so impressed by Alexia Putellas, you don’t” I feel not good enough is what Alexia missed off the end of her sentence.
“I am impressed by you, of course i am all you’ve achieved and what you can do. But i understand there’s a person behind all that, one that deserves just as much acknowledgment. I want to know you Alexia, not ‘Alexia Puetellas’ even though she is pretty cool” Alexia rose her eyes, “If that makes you nervous i’m sorry but you’re going to have to get over it, because clearly just not speaking isn’t something you want either”
Alexia laughed softly, “Why do i feel like i got you here to sort things and you ended up being the one to fix it”
“Because i’m just that amazing” Mia smiled sitting back sipping her wine, “Plus i need you on my side when I punch Patri tomorrow”
“I’ll hold her if you want” Alexia joked making Mia’s smile even bigger, “Although.. seems it was worth it”
Mia nodded as she spotted there food coming over, “Seems it”
Mia let Alexia come back to her grandparents in the taxi they stayed in the restaurant just talking for hours, Mia’s cheeks hurt from the smile Alexia kept on her face all evening, she was funny. Unintentionally witty and incredibly charming. If Mia wasn’t mistaken she could have sworn at one point they were gently flirting with each other, the ride to her grandparents home was held in a comfortable silence.
Mia unlocked the door and flicked on a light as she walked into the bungalow dropping her bag and keys on the table to her right she had breakfast at every morning, Alexia dipped her head as she followed her inside, closing the door behind herself. She took in her environment she smiled, it screamed grandparents, family pictures scattered around the space, “I’ll be back, make yourself comfy if you want”
Alexia simply nodded as Mia disappeared off into a room off the kitchen, she let her eyes scan around, her lips tugged seeing Mia’s picture the club took in her kit on her first day, framed on the mantel piece one side. Alexia let her feet carry herself to the opposite side, she scanned the family picture, she instantly spotted Mia big smile on her face flanked by Alexia knew were her parents she was the perfect mix of both. Alexia carried on wandering, looking at more pictures of the grandchildren, nearly all Mia’s pictures were football related, she either had on a football shirt, or a football was visible in the picture.
Alexia rose her eyes as Mia reappeared opening the fridge, “You were a cute kid” Alexia commented, Mia smiled as she got two bottles of water out of the fridge, closing the door coming towards her holding one to her.
“Thanks” she tittered at the comment
“Why is that funny?” Mia just shrugged, opening her water, “And you say I’m weird”
“No.. I say you’re awkward” Mia swigged some of the water, “You want to go sit by the pool?”
“You have a pool?” Alexia asked, Mia started walking backwards
“Follow me La Reina” Mia turned, she got to a door soon enough opening it to a rather large back garden considering the quaint size of the bungalow. Alexia shut the door behind her self as she saw Mia was already lowering her self to sit on the edge of the pool her feet dipping into the water. Mia spoke as Alexia silently joined her, “I like to sit here” she pointed up, “You get a real good view of the stars” Alexia watched Mia as she stared up at the sky clearly mesmerised, “You never saw this many stars in London” There was a subtle curve of Mia’s lips as she kept her gaze on the night sky, unaware how Alexia was admiring her taking in every inch of her, relishing in the interrupt view “My dad loved space, he was always so intrigued by it, he’d sit for hours at his telescope just looking. He never really liked football, but that was the thing we could talk about, instead of watching a game together we’d go look at the stars together” Mia laughed gently to herself at the memory, “Mum would hate how many space documentaries we’d watch, one Sunday he promised it would be finished before Barcelona played, it didn’t. She missed the first half, she was so angry she refused to cook dinner.” Mia swallowed as she seemed to catch herself, she glanced seeing Alexia watching her and lowered her gaze, “Anyway, you didn’t come here to listen to me witter on about space”
“I like listening to you.. it’s cute when you speak English” Alexia smiled proudly when Mia rolled her eyes shaking her head
“I’ll push you in the pool”
“You wouldn’t dare”
Mia looked to Alexia a playful glint in her eye, “You clearly don’t know me very well”
“You’d actually push me in the pool”
Mia smiled as the water bottle came to her lips humming as she nodded before taking a sip.
“When you think you know someone” Alexia jokingly shook her head, before she knew it. She was in the pool, Mia on the side laughing at her as she popped back up.
Mia was laughing it soon faded when she saw Alexia’s face, “No, don’t even think about it” Mia pointed at her, “Alexia” Mia couldn’t help but laugh when Alexia took hold of an ankle. “I’m sorry”
“Oh well” Alexia took her hand and pulled her in to.
Alexia was laughing when Mia appeared back through the top of the water, it was a beautiful sound Mia could listen to it forever. It faded when they realised just how close they were floating. Mia’s favourite thing about Alexia was quickly becoming her eyes, her dark brown eyes that always seemed to draw her in. Even when Alexia had nothing nice to say they were the softest part of her. They’d change colour in the sun and become brighter, they’d glint when she was feeling cheeky.
Mia got goosebumps when Alexia’s arm slipped around her waist gently gripping her waist as she helped hold her up, it was an excuse to be closer in truth. Mia slipped her arms around her neck and they held each other silently for what felt like an eternity. But it still felt not long enough when Mia felt Alexia start to pull away, she smiled feeling her peck her check. Mia let her arms fall her hands resting on Alexia’s strong shoulders instead she spotted Alexia swallow a nervous lump in her throat. Mia whispered when Alexia’s eyes trained to her lips, “What you waiting for?” Alexia’s eyes shot back to Mia’s own, “Mapi isn’t coming”
Alexia let a simple breath push out in amusement, a warm feeling washed through Mia as Alexia came closer, it felt like fireworks going off inside her as her face leaned in closer. Their lips brushed together, tentatively. It was brief, sweet, innocent and she expected nothing less from the awkward Alexia. She’d felt Alexia’s shoulders relax under her fingertips the second their lips brushed, Alexia had been imagining this moment since the day they met. The way Mia’s lips would feel against their own, how her body would feel against the brits. It was everything and more than she imagined.
Alexia cleared her rambling thoughts her lips still painfully close to Mia’s that one simple kiss wasn’t enough. Her heart raced as she reconnected there lips, Mias body setting on fire as there lips moved in perfect synchronicity body’s pushing together as her back gently touched against the wall of the pool. The cold forcing her chest forward in an attempt to relieve the sting of the cold. She let her hands come to Alexia’s jawline when Alexia used one hand to hold her self up the other still around Mia. It may of been a slow kiss but it certainly was intense.
Mia licked her lips when they parted, both their breathing was unsteady and fast, they didn’t speak neither wanting to pop the bubble of bliss they were in. Alexia’s thumb was slowly moving up and down on her waist as there breathing was slowly becoming under control.
Mia spoke first, “Shall we um” she started when she saw Alexia’s jaw chatter very briefly, “Shall we get out, it’s a bit cold” Alexia nodded, she reluctantly removed her arm from around Mia and without her body against her own her jaw now had a mind of its own. The heat of Mia or between them no longer shielding just how cold this pool was.
Alexia hovered at the door, Mia looked back when she didn’t follow, “I’m dripping everywhere”
Mia smiled, “Your fine, it’s tiles it’ll dry” Mia kept going, she headed to the bathroom to grab them some towels. She smiled when she came back and Alexia still wasn’t inside. “Alexia you’re going to get sick just come inside” Mia put the towel around Alexia, “Please” Mia smiled when Alexia slipped by her into the home.
Mia showed Alexia her room, got her some dry clothes out and offered her the hairdryer she left her to it whilst she used her grandparents room to change out the wet clothes.
Alexia came out Mias room in a pair of her barcelona shorts and a plain grey jumper to see Mia already on the sofa the soft light of her phone lighting her face. She looked when she heard Alexia, “You, sticking around or do you want me to drive you home?”
“I’ll get a taxi”
“You’re not getting a taxi, you’ll either stay here or i take you home”
“Sorry, who’s captain?”
“My house” Mia rose to her feet with a smile, “My rules” Alexia got a smile like Mia hadn’t seen before, was this the Alexia everyone else got because if they did she was incredibly jealous. She was hot. “What you doing Putellas?”
“I’m not dragging you out it’s late”
“Ok” Mia glided by Alexia whose smile just got bigger, “No funny business though, i’m not that easy” Alexia laughed and as she turned Mia stood staring. “Why is that so funny?” Alexia shrugged, “You’ve been talking to Keira haven’t you?”
Mia got into bed moving over to the other side next to the wall, she tried to hide how amused she was with how awkward Alexia was being about the situation. It was just adorable. “I haven’t” Alexia lay flat on her back, stiff as a board, “Should i?”
“You could just ask me” Alexia turned her head to Mia and Mia was just honest, “I’ve had three relationships”
“Why did they end?”
“First one, just ran its course we were young, second, she moved to Germany for football so we ended that, Third that’s the one that Keira would say sent me spiral into ‘Fuck buddy era’ that we won’t count or get into”
Alexia turned onto her side, the casual conversation easing her into there wasn't an expectation, “Why?”
“She was 10 years older than me, based in America but it worked somehow. Til it didn’t when she asked me to marry her”
Alexia looked over Mia’s face, “Well the fact your not married tells me how that ended”
Mia smiled turning to her, “I said no, and that was that. Rather abrupt way to end something i was quite happy in but i was 24, i wasn’t ready for that and she obviously was being older.” Mia laughed softly to herself, “You know what they say to get over someone get under someone else, i sure did that” Mia looked away, “Don’t even know why I’m telling you that doesn’t paint me in a good way”
Alexia smiled softly, “Your just being honest, who am i to judge” Alexia took a breathe, “I’ve not dated in 5 years”
Mia looked to Alexia, “Not to ruin this moment but you not dating is a hate crime to all the gay women of Barcelona” Alexia thankfully smiled, “You get how hot you are right?” Alexia’s smile grew, “I’m being serious” Mia giggled, “Answer me”
“You think i’m hot?”
“I know Patri told you, that women can’t keep a secret unless it’s about who she’s sleeping with then she’s surprisingly quiet on the matter”
“Patri’s seeing someone” Mia’s eyes went a little wide, “Mia!”
“Buenas noches dulces sueños” Mia turned to face the wall smiling hearing Alexia laughing softly.
“I won’t say come on”
“No”
“Mia” Alexia reached forward and Mia squirmed under her touch, “Are you ticklish?”
“No”
Alexia laughed as she tickled Mia her body trying to get away but the wall blocking her route, Mia ended up on her back directly below Alexia’s gaze. “Tell me”
“No”
“Mia”
“Stop” Mia laughed grabbing at Alexia’s hand, she finally let Mia prize it off her but only because their fingers laced. “If you watch her, you’ll figure it out” Alexia furrowed her brows, “Watch her, all i’m saying”
The pair spoke some more before Mia was slowly falling asleep, she woke in the night and Alexia was wrapped around her. She smiled and let herself go back to sleep, in the comfort of Alexia’s strong arms.
+
It was match day as Mia entered the locker room Patri made a beeline for her, “Well?”
“Well what?” Mia looked up at her as she sat down
“What happened?” Patri looked awkward as Alexia entered the room.
“As if i’d tell you” Alexia took her spot beside her, “Liar”
Patri put both hands on either of Mia’s cheek, “I’ll find out, I always do”
“Big talk from someone with big secrets”
Patri narrowed her eyes and walked away, “I’m watching you”
“Enjoy the view my love” Mia pouted a kiss at her as she took her seat the other end of the locker room.
Mia felt nervous her and Alexia had been here before, today would be the day to see if they’d actually turned a corner or not.
Mia lowered her head as they started to hover to come out for the warm up, Alexia chose to stand beside her which she never did. “I’m serious” Alexia spoke hushed, “I want that pan cake recipe” Mia lifted her head and smiled, “They were good” Mia made Alexia pancakes in her Grandparents as Alexia sat patiently at the table watching her,
“I know, you had 5” Alexia couldn’t wipe the smile off her face as they jogged out for the warm up.
Alexia turned jogging backwards, “You promised you wouldn’t judge”
Mia mimicked the coach doing the warm ups, “No judgement just pointing it out”
+
Mia was starting today’s game, it was 20 minutes in and Barcelona were three nil up when she was pushing forward with the ball once again.
Mia was tackled and the whole stadium stood still.
The thud was sickening the cry she let out sent chills down everyone’s spines. Alexia sprinted over to her, “Mia” she got onto her knees hand on her back, “Mia..”
“I think she’s broke my ankle”
Alexia moved when the medical team got to her, she walked away visibly worried, “Is she ok?” Keira asked
“She said she thinks she’s broke her ankle” Alexia said before moving back to hover worried for her, she couldn't just leave her side. She needed to be there for her.
Surely Mia’s season couldn’t be over just like that. It wasn’t fair. The team spent a long time with Mia before the signal was shown to sub her off and Alexia’s heart dropped seeing Mia’s face when she sat up. She looked devastated, players just knew when something was bad. It’s only a feeling players who’d gotten hurt know. It was the feeling they all dread.
When Mia was in the back she let her emotions out, hiding her face in her shirt as she cried this wasn’t suppose to be how it went, she’d had a dream start to life at Barcelona. It couldn’t all end like this. She heard a cheer go up, Barcelona were clearly fine without her scoring multiple more times. That fourth goal, Alexia scored.
She held up one finger on one hand and five on the other.
15 for Mia.
She had to be ok, she just had to be. There was no way around it.

No Yandere Simulator: Undine Eisner
(excuse the traditional art, I don't have the digital drawing skill, lol)
I'm sending Undine out to play with the neighbours' kids!
Category: Potential Rival - will investigate murders and murder attempts (turns up after murder and failed attempt) - will try to protect everyone (after failed murder attempt: guards the intended victim, no matter who it is) - will intervene in fights if she comes across them (tries to stop the fight, so no one gets injured/killed) - will try to stop a murder attempt, if she walks in on it (fights the attacker and tries to capture them) - will sneak/run away, if someone has a gun (Undine knows what she's made of and that she can't win against that)
In this AU, she moved with her family from Germany to whereever this school is, while her friends stayed back in Germany, so she is on her own at this school (still in contact with them though). Her family is actually political very right and hates foreigners, so they also hate to be foreigners, but one parent got such a great job opportunity here, you know: money. At any rate, Undine tries to be a "good" foreigner and "integrate" (assimilate). So, she prefers to get into fights (only with "bad guys" who "deserve it", of course) after school, to not be bad at school by breaking the rule against fighting there.
Other "values" taught at home are racism and queerphobia. With the bad influence of her parents instead of the good influence of her friends, Undine believes in these "values" much more. By mouthing off about her outdated and cruel points of view, Undine has ruined her own reputation at this school.
Her desire to be heroic and popular (even stronger in this AU) is constantly thwarted by herself. It's not just that she ends up discriminating students in her mindset to look down on differences to put herself higher, she also comes across as annoying, ignorant and patronizing when she tries to help people with little daily struggles (because there are so little big stuggles at this lame, mundane school).
While it is unclear, if Jade really has a romantic interest in Undine (as rumour has it), he is certainly interested in the contradiction between her heroic kindness and her villainous rude side and the resulting "entertaining behaviour". Undine is curious, if the rumour is true, but won't ask Jade outright. She wouldn't risk to get rejected by someone she doesn't even have a crush on. Goes against her pride.
In an AU, where she is not at a disadvantage with others having magic, but she herself not, Undine is pretty strong. She won't admit it, but her motivation to get stronger in the Martial arts club isn't just her wish to be heroic and save people, but also her less heroic lust for power (which physical strength is).
Her close friends call her "Dini" - but she doesn't have any close friends at this school. Undine has some kind of frivalry with Yuu Quinn (OC of @vvyvernicus), where they hang out together because most other people avoid them due to bad reputation, but they bicker and mock each other most of the time and Undine has the immature need to compete with Yuu Quinn over every little thing. But yeah, Undine does care about Yuu Quinn, so if anyone does something bad to her - it's personal and Undine will come for this bad guy with extra rage.
I hope Undine isn't too problematic with her discriminatory ways, but I thought if murder is okay, then her misdeeds should not be too hardcore for the AU. Undine can change and learn to be a better person - with some good-influence-friends, patience and learning from mistakes it's possible, even in this AU.

dating you for a bet | oikawa x reader
happy ending with oikawa | cute ending with matsukawa (w.i.p's)
Synopsis. Oikawa Tooru, the charming and ever-popular volleyball captain, surprises everyone—including himself—when he asks the quiet first-year, Y/N, to be his girlfriend. What begins as an unlikely romance blossoms into something beautiful, filled with stolen moments and heartfelt confessions. But behind Oikawa’s practiced smiles lies a secret that could shatter everything.
wc. 600 aprox. | genre. angst |cw/tags. oikawa being a bitch |pair. oikawa x reader
It was late afternoon when Oikawa leaned against the railing of the rooftop, the sun casting a golden glow over his sharp features. Y/N stood across from him, clutching her bag tightly, unsure why the third-year volleyball captain had called her here. “Y/N-chan,” he began, his voice unusually gentle, “I’ve been watching you for a while now.”
Her cheeks flushed a soft pink. “W-Why?”
Oikawa chuckled, rubbing the back of his neck. “Because you’re different. You’re not like the girls who scream my name in the hallways or obsess over my every move. You’re... real.”
Y/N blinked, caught off guard. She wasn’t used to such direct attention, especially from someone as popular as Oikawa.
“So, I was wondering,” he continued, taking a small step closer, “would you go out with me?”
Her heart raced, the sincerity in his tone making her doubt the stories she’d heard about his flirtatious nature. After a moment of hesitation, she nodded.
“I-I’d like that,” she whispered.
Oikawa’s grin widened, and for the first time, she felt like it wasn’t one of his practiced smiles for the crowd—it was just for her.
The months that followed were like a dream. Oikawa made her feel like the only girl in the world, shielding her from jealous whispers in the hallways and holding her hand boldly in public. He’d surprise her with little notes in her locker, sneak her out for late-night stargazing, and even let her wear his team jacket on particularly chilly days.
“See, Y/N-chan?” he teased one afternoon as they shared crepes at a local café. “You fit perfectly into my world.”
She laughed, her eyes sparkling. “I think you’ve been spoiling me too much, Oikawa-san.”
“First of all, it’s Tooru,” he corrected, leaning closer. “And second... I can’t help it. You make me want to be better.”
Y/N’s chest swelled with warmth, and she couldn’t imagine a time when she’d been happier.
It was a text message that shattered her world.
Y/N had been rummaging through Oikawa’s bag for a pen while he was in the shower after practice. His phone buzzed, and the name “Iwa-chan” appeared on the screen. Normally, she wouldn’t have snooped, but the preview caught her attention.
Iwaizumi: So, did you win the bet yet or what? You’ve had plenty of time.
Her stomach twisted uncomfortably as she unlocked his phone, scrolling through the chat history.
The texts unfolded like a nightmare:
Iwaizumi: 5,000 yen says you can’t even get her to hold your hand. Oikawa: Make it 10,000. I’ll have her wrapped around my finger in no time. Iwaizumi: Don’t get too cocky, Oikawa. This isn’t your usual fan club girl. Oikawa: Relax, Iwa-chan. I’ve got this. Watch me.
Her hands trembled as she read further, the pit in her stomach growing heavier. The texts started months ago, before they’d even begun dating. But what hurt the most was seeing how casual Oikawa had been about it at first, as though their relationship had been nothing more than a game to him.
By the time Oikawa emerged from the bathroom, towel draped over his shoulders, Y/N was already on her feet, holding his phone in her hand.
“Tooru,” she said, her voice quivering, “what is this?”
He froze, his wide eyes darting from her face to the screen.
“Y/N, I can explain—”
“Explain what?” she interrupted, tears streaming down her cheeks. “That I was just some bet? That you used me so you could win money from your friends?”
“Y/N, please,” he said, stepping closer, his voice desperate. “It started like that, but it’s not like that anymore! I—I care about you. I love you.”
Her heart clenched painfully. “You don’t get to say that, Tooru. You don’t get to turn this into something real when you started it as a lie.”
He reached for her, but she stepped back, shaking her head. “We’re done.”
“Y/N, wait—”
She didn’t. She grabbed her bag and bolted out of his room, leaving him standing there, drenched in regret.
Oikawa sat on the edge of his bed, staring at the phone in his hands. The texts that once seemed like harmless banter now felt like daggers. He hadn’t meant for it to go this far, but somewhere along the way, he’d fallen for her.
And now she was gone.
The room felt emptier without her laugh, her warmth, her everything. He buried his face in his hands, wondering if he’d ever get the chance to fix what he’d broken—or if he was destined to spend the rest of his life haunted by the memory of her tear-streaked face.
Can he ever earn back her trust, or will his mistake be the end of the best thing that’s ever happened to him?
tbh i do think oikawa would do something like this BUT i dont think iwa would be part of it, but i just added him for the plot.

NOWHERE GIRL
PART TWO
kang sae-byeok x fem!reader
synopsis: time is ticking but sae-byeok seems to grow more irritated by your existence meanwhile you come face to face with the secret you’ve been holding onto.
wc. 1.9k
warnings: hints of homophobia | authors note: thanks for the love on part one! enjoy part two and let me know if you want to be added onto my taglist.
(nowhere girl masterlist)
You decided to get ready early in the morning to stay in your school campus for the entire day just to avoid staying at Ji-yeong and Sae-byeok’s apartment. Your new plan was just to stay here to sleep so wouldn’t bother them as much. Especially, Sae-byeok.
Because there was only so much you could pack in your duffle bag, you only brought your laptop, portfolio tote and your small portable supply container.
Before you head out, you go on your phone to find your new route to school for the week. And because you were concentrating, you failed to hear someone come out their room and walk towards you.
“Hey.” Sae-byeok hisses.
You shot your head up wondering why she’s up so early. Sae-byeok must also start her days early seeing as she has on her utility jacket, a pair of baggy jeans, and her unruly hair was more styled. The apartment was dimly lit so you can’t make out her expression, but you can only assume she isn’t happy about something you did.
“Why did you give Cheol your crayons?”
You blink. “You mean oil pastels?”
“Yes.” she grimaces. “I don’t know you so I don’t want you to be giving him things. Especially not without my permission.”
“They’re my old sets so I thought it would be better to give it to him than to throw them away.”
“We don’t need your charity case. Don’t give him any more of your shit.”
A frown starts to form on your lips. It’s bad enough you can’t go home anymore, now you have to deal with this.
You can feel your blood begin to boil watching Sae-byeok head to the front door, so you follow her out.
“They’re just oil pastels I don’t see why this has to be such a big deal?” you say to her, your voice louder now that you’re out of the apartment. Sae-byeok isn’t moved by your words. “Your brother looked so happy when I told him he could keep them—I wasn’t planning on giving him anything more.”
The morning breeze hits your red cheeks, cooling them. You following her like a baby duckling was not how you wanted to start your morning when you had a long day ahead.
Once you’re both out on the streets, Sae-byeok stops walking and spins around to face you. She took one step closer and you take a step back.
“Good.” Sae-byeok says.
“Good?”
Sae-byeok doesn’t like naive people. She doesn’t know you but from what she could guess: you’re just a spoiled daughter who threw a tantrum and ran away to prove a point. Once it all blows over, you have a support system to bounce back on. You can go back to focusing solely on your studies and later make a name for yourself—everything she can’t do no matter how many hours in the days she works or how many people she pickpockets.
“Yes. Good.” she repeats mockingly. “I don’t want him to get too attached to you being here—he’s a sensitive kid. So, just keep to yourself and focus on how you’re going to find a new place to stay in less than a week. Got it?”
You didn’t think the words of someone you met three days ago would affect you so much. But here you are, frozen in place, ashamed of yourself. However, in the back of your mind, you couldn’t help but think about the shift in accents when she spoke.
⊹ ✿・・───・・✦・・───・・✿
You were the first person in the art studio—about an hour or so early. With all your deadlines quickly approaching you saw the silver lining in arriving to your university early because you can catch up with all your work. Right now you were working on an art piece due next week, not realizing that class was soon starting and your friends began arriving.
“Hey.” one of them greets you.
You look down from your piece and smile at, Park Yoon. She was the first person you contacted when you got kicked out of your parent’s house, you lived in her dormitory for only a week before you got caught. Although you wouldn’t consider Yoon a close friend seeing as she has a huge friend group, she was a reliant one.
“How are you, um, holding up?” she asks quietly to not catch the attention of the other students who began arriving.
“Not bad. I’m staying at an old school friends apartment for the time being.” you tell her, wiping your hands with a moist cloth.
Yoon nods looking at the ground in contemplation. “How long?”
“A week—well technically until Friday so five days.”
Something about her behavior seems off to you. Usually, she is pretty chipper ready to talk someone’s ears off. But today she is quieter, talking in less verbiage. Yoon shoots a glance around the classroom, surveying the vicinity to make sure no one is watching.
“There were rumors flying around about the real reason you ran away.”
You snort and fall back down on your seat to meet her at eye level. “Rumors? Aren’t we too old to be starting rumors?”
Yoon frowns and scoots a little back. “You know what it is…right?”
You stare at the floor, expressionless.
“They aren’t true, right?” Yoon asks cautiously. You threw her a look and the girl’s lips part to gasp or say something—you aren’t sure but it wasn’t a good reaction. Your heart rate begins to increase as you turn to face your canvas.
It’s all over now, you think. If Yoon has figured it out so will the rest of your peers and your social life is beyond the grave now.
Not even a minute later, Yoon stands up and sits on the other side of the room when she saw her friends enter. You start to become paranoid, wondering if she’ll immediately begin to gossip.
Throughout the duration of class you couldn’t help but get lost in your thoughts. The anticipation of everyone finding out about you was swallowing you whole. You are starting to wish that time moves slower so you wouldn’t have to leave class.
It didn’t help that Yoon and her friends kept stealing looks at your direction. You tried to avoid making eye contact but you would find that hard to do.
Rubbing the sweat from your palms, you pick up your brush and use this rush of panic as a way to speed up the process of your art work.
“Don’t forget about the deadline coming up!” your professor says five octaves higher while the class starts packing their things. “The students with the top three highest grades will get their work displayed at Hangaram Art Museum for the entirety of the summer!”
Your professors words were in the back of your mind as you frantically tried to pack your things to avoid Yoon and her group. It wasn’t until you heard a ‘Psst’ coming behind you that you snap out of your trance.
“Hey,” whispers a peer of yours. You never spoken to him, but the toothy inviting grin he is sending you is enough for you to know that he isn’t harmful. “I just wanted to tell you not to let those girls get into your head. I know how you feel—if you know what I mean.”
You send him a quizzical look. “Thanks?” So, they did gossip and everyone in this class knows. You might just throw up.
“Just keep your chin up and don’t let them see you in a moment of weakness and you’ll be alright.” he sends you a thumbs up as he walks away. You force a smile that goes away in a blink of an eye and sink into your seat.
What have you done? Why did you trust Yoon so much? You feel like such an idiot.
⊹ ✿・・───・・✦・・───・・✿
It was almost nearing midnight, Ji-yeong and Sae-byeok were in the living room. After a long day of working, Sae-byeok was trying to rest before doing it all over again tomorrow by watching mindless television until her roommate disrupts her to start pacing back and forth in front of her. Sae-byeok knew what she was getting worked up about. Ji-yeong clearly began to notice your lack of presence today.
“Where could she be this late? I’m sure libraries are closed by now…” she trails off, rubbing her chin in deep thought.
Sae-byeok’s mind goes back to earlier this morning. Your brief exchanges could’ve caused her to avoid coming to the apartment but your duffle bag is still here. You’d have to come back eventually.
“Sae-byeok, what did you do?”
Sae-byeok’s eyebrows knit in confusion. “Me?”
“I saw that look you just did. You look guilty. What did you do?”
“Nothing.” she responds coolly.
Ji-yeong purposely blocks the television screen and crosses her arms. “I’m not moving until you tell me the truth.”
“I don’t remember it was early in the morning.”
“Is it because she gave Cheol her crayons?”
Sae-byeok narrows her eyes. “How did you—?”
“He wouldn’t stop talking to me about it when I picked him up from school.” Ji-yeong rolls her eyes. “So, it is because of that? You got mad at her because of crayons, Sae-byeok, really?”
“It’s not just about the crayons.” she snips, sitting up straight from the couch. “Do you even know her personally? When was the last time you two actually talked before this?”
Ji-yeong doesn’t say anything.
“Thought so.” she scoffs. “I don’t trust her. Especially since you don’t want to tell me why she ran away in the first place.”
Ji-yeong purses her lips to digest her words. She shuffles to let Sae-byeok watch television again and sank next to her in the couch.
“I think she’s nice.” she grumbles like a child. Sae-byeok sends her a glare.
“You think, you don’t know.”
Ji-yeong shrugs. “I have no reason to think she’s a bad person.”
“People can change overnight. I’ve seen it happen and I’ve seen the consequences of being too trusting.”
Ji-yeon goes silent again. “No. This is something different—“
“Well, if you can just tell me why she’s even here in the first place then maybe I—“
“I can’t.”
“Then I don’t see the point in discussing this.” Sae-byeok sighs. She gets up from the comfort of the couch and stretches before grabbing her coat by the front door.
“Where are you going?” Ji-yeong frowns.
“To clear my head. I won’t be long.”
Ji-yeong doesn’t push any further, knowing this is something Sae-byeok occasionally does when her thoughts start to become too much. Maybe Ji-yeong went a little too far trying to defend your character because Sae-byeok rarely ever backs down from an argument so she really tested her limits.
Of course with Sae-byeok’s luck, she stumbles upon you sitting on the staircase, doodling something on your sketchbook underneath the fluorescent lights of the building.
Sae-byeok stares at your back trying to figure out if she should sneak back inside or talk to you. Maybe this is her chance to figure out what you’re really up to and prove Ji-yeong wrong.
“Why aren’t you inside?” she asks you after hesitating. You don’t response, you just throw her a glance before going back to drawing. Sae-byeok feels like this is some sort of payback for earlier.
Sae-byeok thought she was good at reading people’s body language and automatically pinpoint who they are and what their intentions are. It was something she had to learn to do in order to survive. But you are becoming an outlier.
“Ji-yeong is worried.”
“Well, just tell her I’m here.” you speak up. “I’ll be inside later. I just want to stop by a convenience store to get something to eat.”
“We have food inside.”
You turn to make eye contact with her again. For a brief moment, no words were spoken even as tension was rising.
“You got mad at me over oil pastels. Why would I go around touching your food?” you ask softly.
And for the first time, Sae-byeok is taken aback by you. There is another evanescent period of silence.
“Fine.” she says and starts walking down the staircase and further away from the building only to turn around to call out your name. You poke your head out from your sketchbook, raising an eyebrow at her. “Are you coming or what?”
You survey her figure blankly. With every interaction you have with Sae-byeok, she just keeps confusing you further. It feels like you are playing mental game of chess with her and you aren’t sure how to feel about that. You’re already overwhelmed with what happened today at school, you shouldn’t add someone like Sae-byeok to the mix.
Sae-byeok dug her hands deep inside the pockets of her jacket and taps her foot on the pavement, waiting for you impatiently. You sigh in defeat and close your sketchbook.
Just five more days and this’ll all just be a blurry memory, you think to yourself.

Share With Me One Love, One Lifetime Part 1
Here we go. The final story in the Boy with a Bat trilogy. It's certainly come a long way from when I first started writing for this fandom. Two years ago on this day, I put out Can Anybody See Me? because there was serious lack of season 2 AUs were Hellfire had taken Steve under their wing. And then it grew from one story into two with Never Hold Back Your Step... and I promised I would get Steddie all the way through season 4 to come out alive on the other side.
The goal is to get all the story out before season 5 premiers. So far of what I've written, we're about 2/3 of the way through season 4. We'll get to the end and then we'll have a short epilogue.
Thank you to everyone who cheered me on to complete this trilogy. But especially @bookworm0690, @kultiras, and @dreamercec.
The title like the previous two stories before it (here and here) comes from a musical. In this case, The Phantom of the Opera. RIP Eddie. You would have loved that musical.
In this we have our boys caught between a rock and hard place, Steve watches Lucas's game, and Eddie gets into some trouble.
~
Steve was going to murder someone. He just hadn’t decided on who yet. Though at the moment it was starting to look like Lucas.
“And you’re sure you can’t move it to another night?” he asked, pinching the bridge of his nose.
“Yeah,” Eddie murmured. “Mike leaves for California in the morning and most of the other guys have plans too. Then once spring break comes back...”
“You can’t use the drama room because the play is starting up,” Steve finished for him. “Shit. And I can’t have it here. My mom somehow found out about the movie nights and threatened to have my dad kick me out if it happened again.”
“Shit.”
“Yeah,” Steve said, nervously chewing on his lip. “And you know I’m gonna want to support Lucas.”
Eddie let out a long sigh. “Yeah I know. Dustin told me. I just wish Lucas had come to me instead of the flying monkeys you know?”
“Me too,” Steve said, closing his eyes. “He just got in with the boys on the basketball team and I’m worried he’s going to alienate himself from his friends if he continues to hang out with them.”
“I’m worried about that too,” Eddie huffed. “And my speech was aimed at Carver by the way. In the heat of the moment I had forgotten Lucas was on it. Got reminded afterwards though.”
Steve opened his eyes and let out answering sigh. The little bell above the door twinkled, heralding the arrival of customers. “Look, I’ve got to go, I have to actually work.”
“Booo,” Eddie hissed. “I’ve got that deal with Chrissy after the game, so I’ll be by after that, okay?”
“Okay, Eds,” Steve said. “Be safe.”
“Yup!”
Steve hung up the phone with another sigh. He straightened up and put on his best customer service smile. “Welcome to Family Video, how can I help you today?”
The rest of the day flew by in a flash and too soon he was picking up Brenda for the game. She had come into the store earlier and was talking about how she really wanted to go to the game because her brother was on the team but her parents didn’t want to go.
So Steve offered to take her. He was pretty sure she thought it was a date, but Steve kept trying to steer here away from that sort of talk. He’s not sure he succeeded.
~
“It’d be funny if we won the championship game the year after you graduated,” Brenda said with a smile.
Oh hell no.
“I wasn’t on the team my senior year,” he said with a bitchy expression. “You would know that if you actually watched us play. I was out with a concussion.”
Brenda smirked. “You know what I mean. I just mean that you were King Steve, we didn’t win the championship once.”
“Yes,” Steve cocking his head forward, “but I’m the one that got us to the championship my junior year. I sunk that last shot with nothing but net that got us into the final game. The other team was better. You can still do everything right and have the other team just be better.”
Then it looked they were going to lose, so they let Lucas play. After all what was the harm of letting him play for the last minute of the game.
And then a miracle happened.
Lucas was at the three-point line and he let go of the ball just as the buzzer went off. Steve rose to his feet as the shot sailed into the air and hit the basket dead on.
Lucas had won the championship game for the Tigers.
Steve was jumping up and down and just screaming. “Yes! Yes! Yes!!!”
~
After the players came back out from the locker rooms, Steve put his arm around Lucas.
“Looks like our hard work paid off,” he said with a teasing grin.
Lucas rolled his eyes. “Yeah, yeah. Thank you, Steve.”
Steve gave him a tight one-armed hug and then whispered in his ear, “If you feel uncomfortable for any reason, just give me a call and I’ll be there in a heartbeat. And don’t let anyone pressure you into something you don’t want to, okay?”
Lucas nodded and then hurried to catch up to Jason and his friends.
Steve shook his head and turned to Brenda. “Hey do you need me to take you home?”
She shook her head. “My brother is going to drop me off before heading the celebration.”
“You got it,” Steve said with a thumbs up. He stopped for a moment. “Which one did you say was your brother again?”
“I didn’t,” Brenda sneered. It’s Andy Snyder, number forty-three.”
Dread pooled in Steve stomach. Andy was the new Tommy H. A bully and a brute, on and off the court.
“He played good tonight,” he said with a fake smile smile firmly in place.
Her returning smile was even less sincere and she walked away. Steve put his hands on his hips and looked up, pressing him lips together.
He was now certain she thought they were on a date, but with Steve paying more attention to Robin then her and rooting for Lucas without even asking who her brother was... yeah. According to her the date was a failure, according to Steve, he dodged that fucking bullet.
~
Steve had barely kicked off his shoes when the walkie talkie he kept next to the door crackled to life.
“Code Red!” Eddie hissed. “I have a fucking Code Red! Is anyone there? Please god, please!”
Steve was on the line faster then from one breath to the next. “Eddie, this is Steve. Repeat, this is Steve. What’s your status?”
“Chrissy is dead, man,” Eddie whined. “She–she rose up into the air, like a puppet on a string and oh god!”
“Shit, shit, shit!” he cursed. “You’ve got to get out of there, now! Stash the van and run for Rick’s. After the game there are going to be too many eyes on my place. You keep your head down, you hear?”
“Yeah,” Eddie breathed. “Yeah. Oh god, it was so bad, Stevie. Why her? She was so nice to me. Why her?”
“We’ll find out,” Steve breathed. “I just don’t know who would be around right now. Everyone is out scattered because of the game, Nancy and Mike are getting ready to take him to the airport for him to fly out to California and everyone is out celebrating the win.”
“What about Dustin?” Eddie murmured. He hated bringing a kid into this, but if that was who they had...”
“I don’t know where he is,” Steve said chewing on his thumb nail. He should have picked up before he did.
“Shit!”
Steve let out a shuddering breath and pinched the bridge of his nose. “I’ve got work tomorrow, but as soon as I can, I’ll bring you clothes and food enough for you hide out there, okay?”
He had a lot of Eddie’s clothes over at his place, it wouldn’t be hard for him to pack a bag.
“Yeah, okay,” Eddie sighed. “You’ve got a handle on this. Just don’t forget about me, okay?”
“I’d never.”
~
“Hey,” Robin said after Steve pretty much blew up at a customer for not know if her boyfriend liked scary movies or not. “Are you okay?”
Steve grimaced. He had tried to get people on the walkies this morning but he couldn’t get anyone on the line and he didn’t have a chance to talk to Robin, because she had been running full steam about Vickie all morning.
But before he could even open his mouth to answer Dustin came storming in, with Max hot on his heels. “Turn on the news now!”
Robin turned over to the news and sure enough the breaking news was of a girl being murdered at the Forest Hills Trailer Park and the investigation was ongoing.
“That’s Eddie’s trailer!” Dustin cried.
“I saw Chrissy go into his trailer last night,” Max admitted, “and then he came running out screaming.”
“Why you didn’t get anyone on the walkies?” Steve growled. “That would have been great to know last night!”
“My mom sold them for more booze,” she snapped back.
Steve pinched the bridge of his nose and sighed heavily.
“We need to find him!” Dustin insisted. “He’s innocent! There is no way he did this! He couldn’t have!”
“Whoa!” Steve said sternly. “You think I don’t know that? I’m the one who introduced him to you do you forget!”
Dustin blinked at him for a moment and then nodded. “Sorry Steve, I freaked out when I found that my walkie talkie had been accidentally been turned to the wrong channel, but I couldn’t get him on it this morning and I was really worried.”
“Okay...” Robin said, raising an eyebrow, “and why are you here, specifically?”
“Oh, I was going to hack your system to find out where Eddie might have gone aground?” Dustin said with a grimace.
Steve buried his head in his hands. “Oh I am so getting fired.”
Max scoffed. “As if your peon bosses would be able to tell Dustin even touched it.”
Steve put his hands on his hips and rolled his eyes skyward. “No, that’s not why I’m getting fired.”
Everyone else looked at each other in confusion.
“Then why are you getting fired?” Dustin asked with one raised eyebrow.
“I’m guessing you’re going to want to hasten to Eddie’s rescue, yes?” he asked licking his bottom lip slowly.
Dustin rolled his eyes again. “Yes!”
“And how would you get there?” Steve pressed. “You bikes? Because that won’t draw attention to where Eddie might be hiding.”
“Well, no,” Max said, “we’d make you take us.”
“Which means I would be abandoning the job to go look for Eddie if we left now, yes?”
Dustin and Max eyes went wide and then they said together, “Oh.”
“Yeah,” Steve huffed, shaking his head. “You either wait until two when I’m off or I’m going to get fired.”
“Two, you said?” Max said with a wince.
“Mhmm.”
“That’s not too bad,” Dustin hedged. “After all it might take me that long to crack the system and find Eddie.”
He went to go leap over the counter when Steve grabbed him by the scruff of his neck.
“Oh hell no,” Steve snapped. “One I just sorted those tapes and I’m not doing it again, and two you don’t need to hack shit, because I know where he is without all the techno bullshit.”
“Techno is a genre a music,” Max supplied unhelpfully.
“And it’s not bullshit if it helps us find him!” Dustin growled.
“Did you even listen to the rest of Steve said?” Robin asked, knocking his hat off his head. “He knows where Eddie is.”
Dustin blinked at Steve for a moment. “How would you know that?”
Steve rolled his head and tilted his head back. “Because I was on the actual fucking walkie talkies you make us carry around everywhere we go and Eddie radioed the party last night. AND I was the only one who answered!”
Dustin and Max blinked at Steve’s outburst, shocked that he would yell at them. But with Eddie missing and a girl dead, it was forgivable.
“So where is he,” Dustin groused, picking up his hat and slamming it down on his head, “if you’re so smart?”
“Reefer Rick’s boathouse on Lover’s Lake?” Steve suggested with a half shrug.
Max folded her arms and glared at Steve. “And how would you know where that is?”
Steve threw his arms in the air with a huff of frustration. “We’d go there sometimes when my dad was being an ass, okay?” He looked down at his shoes and scuffed his shoe on the carpet. “It was a place no knew but us. Sometimes Rick would be there and we’d watch TV sometimes.”
Dustin looked at him disbelieving. “Yeah, sure...that’s all you did.”
“I hate to break it to you kid,” Steve said dryly, “but drug lords actually prefer that their dealers aren’t doing the drugs they’re selling. It’s bad for business.”
“Oh.”

Aw welcome back, Wayne!! 😘 I'm so happy to hear that you've been thinking of this series. 🥰 And I'm so excited to see what you thought of Part 2...
I'm so in love with their little bonding sessions. Being stuck inside a cabin and playing games? I want that 😍
Aww it's the little moments with Dean that I would so love -- along with just being snowed in, in a cabin with him. 😏
And lol it's gotta be so awkward for true mates when they're still strangers. I absolutely adored her thought process throughout 😆
Lolll YEP exactly. 😆 Like, realistically how do you broach that conversation with someone? I'm glad you liked that attempt to inject some realism there. 🤣
Love how Dean doesn't realize he's oversharing and that his whole childhood might not have been normal 😂
ahaha Dean got so into his story he didn't realize he was giving himself away there! Bit of a rookie move, but she's his literal soulmate, so he's probably a little distracted. 🤪
And oh God, all those journal entries 😭😭😭 I know they're from the OG journal, but it just rips my heart right out again rereading it 😢 Those portray John's despair and heartbreak way better than the show did...
Girl I had never read the official journal, and it hit me in the feels in just the same way. 😭 I had that exact same thought -- that they served to humanize John and explain why he became the way he was with the boys way better than the show did.
Ooooh, let's think about it, shall we? 😏 Her dad might have totally been snatched by something supernatural. Considering their location and how it happened in her memories, it might have been a Wendigo?? 🤔
Ooh you're red-hot! ❤️🔥❤️🔥
Dude! Goosebumps! Wendigos scare the shit outta me 🙈 It's still why The Descent is the scariest movie for me. I die from a heart attack every time 😂 🫣
ooooh my God, I haven't seen The Descent, but if it's anything like the Wendigo episode, than I don't wanna know. 😭 Legit when I was first starting to watch SPN I had to take a break after that episode -- and it was only episode 2!! 😩
No! Alex!!!! YOU KNOW THIS IS WHY I HATE SNOOPING Girl, you're killing me here... 😆😆
LOLL I love that you referenced Smoke Eater -- it's those same vibes from Part 8, isn't it? I have a little less sympathy for the reader in this situation, but she is ultimately sorry for going through his private journal/invading his privacy to the nth degree. 😅
OMGG I LOVED that gif of the little polar bear. 🥹🥹 Took me right out with the cuteness lmao. I laughed so hard at all your commentary with the reader and her lack of bear knowledge. 😝
N'aw, I know it was necessary but poor bear – wrong place, wrong time for the fella 🥺💔
Aww I know, I felt bad for writing that part. Poor Ted. 😭😭
My heart is full 😭❤️❤️❤️ (Also, I doubt he can ever stand to let her go her own way after this lmao)
Ha! You're right about that one. I just love me some protective Alpha Dean. 😏
Huh. Never eaten bear before... Never even thought about it before lol Also seems like something the Shaws would've done 😂
Me either lmao, but I've read about people who actually hunt for a living who survive off bear, caribou, bison, etc. I imagine it's a hard way to live, but omg yeah I could see Ashton making his kids learn how to shoot, but them not wanting to shoot a bear or a deer. 😭
Omg I love that ending! Dean's finally coming around, and she's putting the puzzle pieces about her dad together. I wonder what Dean will do when he hears the full story? Would he go hunt the thing? Is it even still out there??? Questions upon questions... 🤔
Aw I'm glad! Yesss it's about time with him lol. Good thing all your questions there will be answered in Part 3...
So excited for the next part!! I'm loving this story and everything you've put in it, and the dynamic between them is amazing. So well done, friend 😍🩵🩵
Aw thank you so much, my friend!! I tried to balance the slower "getting to know you" parts with some of this actiony/dramatic stuff as they slowly grow closer. 🥰💜💜
Also, don't think I forgot about the last two chapters of Polaris. I'm so looking forward to diving into those chapters soon!! 😘

Part 2: Seems Like Yesterday
“I’ll raise you 25,” you say, tossing five chocolate covered pretzels into the middle pile. It’s a risky bet, considering how much you lost in the last hand. Dean regards you with an amused, if critical eye while he holds his cards.
“Ooh, you’re bluffing,” he says. You pop your brows at him, a subtle smile tugging at your lips.
“You want to test that theory? Put your money where your mouth is,” you challenge.
He tilts his head at you with a raise of his own brows.
“Cheeky omega,” he mutters. His attention returns to his cards as he deliberates on his next move.
You attempt to be nonchalant as you glance down at your cards again. It’s a shitty hand, but he doesn’t need to know that. The alpha’s won the last two hands of Texas Hold ‘Em, but you did win the first one. Though you suspect he let you win.
You want to at least even the score before he resumes his work out in the shed. He spends most of his time there during the day, or making sure the firewood is stocked. It seems like he takes any excuse not to spend too much time in your presence.
More than anything, you want to ask him if he feels what you feel—the same tug in the pit of your stomach every time he’s nearby. You just haven’t found a way to broach that with him.
Hey, I know we just met like two minutes ago, but I think we’re supposed to be together. Do you feel it too?
You nearly roll your eyes at yourself. Yeah, that’ll go over well.
So you have to be content with mornings like this and in the evenings, where he lets you put on one of his records, and you two share dinner together, maybe another round of cards. Or you’ll read a book while lounging on the chaise, and he lays out on the couch, listening to his music with his eyes closed. You like watching him like that, with a relaxed, damn near peaceful set to his face.
Too often he holds that harder, stoic expression, or that divot between his brows that makes you want to soothe two of your fingers there; or better yet, lean in and press your lips—
“It’s your move,” Dean reminds you. He’s finally played his hand, but you were too distracted to hear what he said.
“What’d you do?” you ask, surveying the piles of cards.
“Call,” he repeats, popping a few pretzels into his mouth. He washes it down with beer and more barbeque chips. Those are worth $10 in this little fantasy betting. He points a finger towards you with the same hand that holds his beer, teasing, “You got all the lights on in there? Or am I boring you?”
You glance up at him, fighting a smile. “All right, keep your pants on. Let me see…”
As the dealer, he’s already turned over the River: the last card in the hand. It’s a 10 of Clubs, which means your One Pair is actually a Two Pair. It’s still not a great hand, but it’s decent enough to maybe let you get the best of your opponent.
After you go “all in,” Dean’s lips twitch at a smile, and he humors you, going all in as well. You’re on tenterhooks when he finally reveals his hand.
“Ooh, it ain’t a cheesy ‘90s sitcom, but it’s still…a Full House,” he brags as he lays out each card in a smooth line of overlapping cards, the mix of glossy red diamonds and black spades showing the truth. He won again.
You huff in defeat, your shoulders sinking in your seat at the kitchen table. You turn over your measly hand. Sweeping the winnings toward himself (a mound of chocolate covered pretzels, a stack of barbecue chips, and a handful of Oreos), Dean chuckles and tosses you a wink.
“Ah, don’t beat yourself up, sweetheart. I’ve been hustlin’ poker for a long time. Hell, I’ve been playing this game before I even knew my times tables,” he says as he collects the cards.
“That young?” you reply. “Who taught you?”
“My dad,” he says. “Oh, believe me, I used to get my ass kicked many a’ time, but by the time I turned sixteen, I was hustlin’ grown ass men in skeevy bars out of their daily paycheck.”
“You were hanging out in bars at sixteen?” you ask incredulously. There, Dean seems to realize he’s said too much. He becomes more guarded as he puts away the deck and cleans the crumbs off the table.
“My dad was always working. You could say I didn’t really have a curfew,” he says.
“A latchkey kid, huh?” you reply, hiding the way you’re trying so hard to glean any more hints of truth between his words.
“Heh, yeah.” He gets up from the table and tosses the breakfast dishes in the sink, then travels to the front door to don his jacket and boots.
“All right, I’ll be out back,” he says.
Out back, code for out in the shed. You nod, and in a flash, he’s shutting the door behind him.
You’ve learned another small tidbit about him, one that feels more important than it seems on the surface. And yet, it only elicits more questions you doubt he’ll be willing to answer so easily. He’s more than tight-lipped about his past, only giving vague outlines and general pictures.
Even his stories—like being raised up in a family of traveling mechanics, putting Nair in Sam’s shampoo when he was a kid, or the guy’s serious fear of clowns—feel like they’re missing some key details.
You decide to take up your crutches and head for your room. There you unearth the journal from its hiding place under your pillow. This time, you turn to the very beginning. Before all the jargon about mythology (and an odd footnote about a “Turducken Slammer”), there are actual journal entries. The first one dates back to November 6, 1983. The first line already captures your attention.
I buried my wife today. Even as I write that down, I don’t believe it. Last week we were a normal family…eating dinner, going to Dean’s T-ball game, buying toys for baby Sammy. But in an instant, it all changed… When I try to think back, get it all straight in my head…I feel like I’m going crazy. Like someone ripped both my arms off, plucked my eyes out. I’m wandering around, alone and lost and I can’t do anything.
This is Dean’s father, you realize. The more that you read, with no small amount of dismay, you also realize that this man is writing about his wife, Mary.
Dean’s mom…
He writes about their house burning with all their memories inside, along with Mary. Somehow, he saw her pinned bloody to the ceiling.
Along with these pages is a clipping from a news story:
House Fire Kills Mother of Two
Lawrence, Kansas.
You’re spellbound by it all. You keep reading.
November 13, 1983
…Most of our clothes and photos are ruined, even our safe—the safe with Mary’s old diaries, the boys’ savings bonds, what little jewelry we had…all gone. How could my house, my whole life, go up like that, so fast, so hot? How could my wife just burn up and disappear?
The police don’t believe his story, about how she died before the fire, about what he saw. So he tries to convince himself that what he saw wasn’t real. Still, he can’t find rest, and he worries about his sons’ safety.
December 4, 1983
I haven’t let them out of my sight since the fire. Dean still hardly talks. I try to make small talk, or ask him if he wants to throw the baseball around. Anything to make him feel like a normal kid again. He never budges from my side—or from his brother.
Every morning when I wake up, Dean is inside the crib, arms wrapped around baby Sam. Like he’s trying to protect him from whatever is out there in the night.
Sammy cries a lot, wanting his mom. I don’t know how to stop it, and part of me doesn’t want to. It breaks my heart to think that soon he won’t remember her at all.
You don’t realize you’re crying until a droplet lands on the page. You quickly wipe it away before it becomes a stain, and you dry it all the way with your breath before you move on to the next page, sniffling. Your heart hurts, even as your guilt grows. You know now that you’re really, truly invading Dean’s privacy by reading his father’s words. You just can’t stop yourself from turning the next page.
John becomes convinced that someone, or something, started the fire that destroyed his life and took his wife away from him and his sons. He leaves his job and the remnants of that world behind, to venture deeper into the darker one. But in that darkness, he finds truth.
He visits a psychic, Missouri, who leads him back to his house and senses the echoes of an evil presence—something that shakes her to the core, and John too: the creature that killed his wife.
December 20
…She told me that it was the most powerful, awful thing she’s ever come across.
On January 1, 1984, John makes a New Year’s resolution. He determines to find the answers himself.
A shiver runs down your spine. In John’s words, your heart breaks for Dean, but you also see yourself. You try not to think about why.
You keep flipping through the rest of the journal past January. There are translations of a Latin exorcism, and like you read before, strange drawing of evil looking creatures—as well as what they are, scraps of their history, and how to kill them.
Silver bullet to the heart, can’t withstand iron, salt and burn.
You pause on a certain page, more filled with lore than the rest, and a primitive drawing in the center.
WENDIGO
Cree: Evil that devours.
Wood spirit. Eats live flesh. Lives in forests.
Perfect hunter.
Your breath stills in your lungs as a cold sweat forms across your skin. The more you read, the faster your heart beats.
The crunch of dead leaves. Your father shouting at you to run, and keep running.
The coarse shout of a bear morphs into something other. It’s a sharper, whirring sound like wind howling amidst animalistic clicking, and then bones breaking—your father’s scream cut short. You turn around with your rifle in hand, poised to shoot blindly.
Your stomach churns as bile rises into your throat. You feel sick, and wrong, and you suddenly have the urge to throw the journal against the wall.
“Omega?” calls Dean’s sharp voice. “You okay?”
You jolt badly at the sudden noise. You didn’t hear him reenter the house. He likely caught the scent of your distress. He pushes the door of your room open to find you, but he stops short in the doorway. His surprise quickly morphs into a frown when he notices what you’re holding in your lap.
You gasp, freezing where you sit, but there’s no point in trying to cover up what you’ve done. With an angry purse of his lips, he reaches over and takes the journal from your hands.
“What the hell are you doing with this?” he demands.
“I’m…I’m sorry. I just—” You swallow past the lump in your throat. “I was just curious. I wanted to know more about you. I thought it was…a normal journal.”
“So this is how you go about it, huh? Got everything you wanted, Columbo?” he says, his sarcasm cutting into you. He flips through the journal to make sure all the pages are intact before he tucks the journal under his arm. “Seriously, going into somebody’s stuff? Who the hell raised you?”
At that, you begin to bristle.
“My dad,” you snap back. Though remembering the passages you’ve lived with for the past few hours, you soften with a painful twinge of sympathy in your heart.
“And it looks like yours raised you to be some kind of…well, what are you, a ghostbuster or something?” you ask.
His jaw locks. “Or something.”
With an exasperated sigh at his hedging, you swing your legs around the edge of the bed and haul yourself up with your crutches so you can at least match his stance (more or less).
“Dean, please, just talk to me,” you implore, gesturing at the journal tucked under his arm. “The things I read—”
“Are none of your goddamn business!” he growls, making the omega inside you cringe. The alpha’s voice is deep and sharp, and even though he isn’t crowding you, his height and broadness are still intimidating.
“The sooner you heal up, the sooner I can ship you back to where you belong,” he says. “Back to your life, so you can stop sticking your nose into mine.”
Your mouth actually falls open in shock. His vehement words feel almost as powerful as a physical blow, if to your soul. They make your arms tremble while holding yourself upright on your crutches. Hot tears well up in your eyes, though you try to blink them away. After a moment, you’re able to collect yourself enough to speak.
“I’m sorry for going through your stuff,” you say, in a quiet voice.
You hobble awkwardly past him out of the room. You don’t stop until you reach the front door, where your snow boots are. You manage to get them on by yourself so you can go outside and get some fresh air, not to mention some much needed distance from the alpha’s burning presence. You can still feel him trailing behind you. You hear his heavy boots.
“Where the hell are you going?” he grits out.
You hobble faster.
Dean watches you go out the door without a word in irritation, even though it triggers an alarm deep in his gut every time you leave the safety of the cabin.
The snow depth has lightened somewhat since the storm, but it’s still not easy to navigate on your crutches. You get some distance from the cabin, mindful not to go too far. You know you’re limited, and you didn’t even take a gun with you.
Finding a solid tree to lean on, you rest there and try in vain to stifle your tears. You know you were wrong for snooping, and he had a right to be mad, but did he really have to be such a freakin’ bear?
Fucking alphas. I swear.
You thought you were starting to connect with him, but clearly, Dean wants nothing to do with you. He wants you out of his life.
Does he not feel the same pull you feel to him? Does he really not realize…that he’s meant to be your mate?
You take in a shaky breath through your nose. If he does, apparently he doesn’t care.
Just then, you hear the crunch of snow nearby. Twigs snapping.
Your body stiffens with a terrible memory—of that day in the woods. Your breath comes out in short puffs on the cold air, your eyes wide as you listen closely.
Hearing nothing, you allow yourself to breathe a little easier. You venture a few paces forward and to the right, but you stop shy of how it slopes downward. Some unnamed feeling tells you to look over the edge.
You lean over and cast your gaze down the slope, but all you see is snow and trees down below. With a shaky breath, you lean back and look out to the north again. Plodding along the trail, heading towards you, is a bear.
Oh shit…
You remember Dean mentioning something about a bear passing by his cabin a couple of days before the storm. Looks like he’s back to make his rounds.
His fur is dark; from this distance, you can’t tell if it’s a black bear or a grizzly. It doesn’t make much difference when all you have on your person is a can of bear spray. His gait is massive, unhurried, but he lets out a braying sound when your gaze meets his, as if acknowledging you. He stops there for a moment, assessing. Your body locks up with fear.
The bear groans again, this time sharper. You finally snap out of your reverie and force your body to move slowly backward with your crutches spearing into the snow. The cabin isn’t that far, maybe thirty or forty yards at most. Still, the bear can probably beat you.
Instead of trying to run, you stand your ground and shout at the bear, hoping he’ll back off. Your voice dies in your throat when he rears up on his hind legs, with a loud roar. Trembling, you miss a step and get knocked back into the snow on your ass, your crunches falling out at your sides. You scramble inside your jacket for anything that might help you.
Bear spray!
You hurry to get the cap off with shaking hands, but before you can even aim, the creature’s heave paws thudding into the ground in front of you—a gunshot rings out and hits the animal in the chest.
The bear falters, then roars in pain and anger.
Two more shots finally bring it down to an even heavier thud, not far from your feet.
In this moment, these are the things you don’t know about Dean Winchester:
For one, the scent of an omega in distress always calls to an alpha’s protective instincts. But the scent of your abject fear feels like someone tried to rip his lungs out through his stomach.
Second, when he sees you there, your wide, shiny eyes filled with the remnants of panic, yet relief at the sight of him, it takes everything within him not to drop to his knees, grab you by the hair, sink his teeth into your neck and claim you, right there in the snow. Maybe then you’d start listening to him and stop taking your life into your hands.
Instead, his lips purse as he wracks his rifle and slings the strap of it over his shoulder. He stalks toward you and scoops you up, crutches and all. He brings you back to the cabin without a word.
His jaw is once again locked with silence and strain; he doesn’t trust himself to speak until he’s brought you inside and carried you over to the chaise. He sits beside you there and takes an inventory of you with his eyes.
“You okay?” he asks at last.
You manage to meet his gaze and give a little nod.
“Okay. Don’t move,” he says shortly. He gets up and goes to the kitchen, where he grabs a foldable set of knives and a cooler from under the sink.
You watch him in silence, and you realize he’s going back to gut the bear. You didn’t know that he actually hunted out here…well, hunted to eat. He continues to gather items in silence. It gets to a point where you can’t stand it, or his curtness, any longer.
“Thank you,” you say, halting his steps. Dean glances at you over his shoulder, then continues strapping up his supplies. He huffs in response.
“We’re gonna be eatin’ good for a while,” he says without looking at you.
His attitude both hurts you and aggravates you, so much that you refuse to take it anymore.
“Look, Dean. I’m sorry, okay? I shouldn’t have butted into your life,” you say. Frustrated tears well up in your eyes. Expelling a sharp sigh, you amend yourself. “I’m sorry for invading your privacy. I’m sorry about what you went through, and I’m…I’m sorry about your mom. I’m sorry for today. I’ll just…stay out of your way, and I’ll leave as soon as I can.”
Dean finally turns your way, but your lips tremble as you turn your face away from him and shut your eyes tightly against the salty burn of tears. Deep inside, his heart withers in his chest. He sighs and drops his supplies on the couch. He walks over with those heavy boots, and he sits on the edge of the chaise beside you. He hesitates for a moment, but eventually, he rests a warm, calloused hand on your arm and earns your tearful gaze.
“I’m sorry. I, uh…shouldn’t have yelled at you,” he says.
You sniff, quickly wiping away your embarrassing tears as they come. Your cheeks are hot with it.
“What is it you wanna know? About me,” he asks, surprising you that much more.
Your mouth parts, but nothing comes out. It takes you some time to think, but the first thing that comes to your mind is…
“Everything in that journal,” you say, licking your dry lips. “Is it real?”
Dean holds your gaze steadily. You know the truth without him having to say it, but he does.
“I was a hunter,” he says. “Those things you read about, I found ‘em. Killed ‘em. It was my job.”
“And now?” you ask, once that large bit of information has time to set into your brain.
His lips tug at a half smile. “Consider me…mostly retired.”
You exhale softly, and you nod. It earns a furrowed look from Dean.
“You don’t seem all that freaked out by this,” he says, with a more scrutinizing gaze on you.
“Should I be?” you say, with an unsteady laugh.
He raises his brows. “In my experience, yeah.”
You chew on the inside of your lip. You don’t know if you should even put into words what you’ve been holding onto for months. Like John, no one believed you. Even your own mother had started to look at you like you needed a shrink.
“Omega?” Dean presses. His green eyes are perceptive as they take in the conflicted look on your face. “There something you wanna tell me?”
You deliberate for a moment longer. Then, you release a sigh and glance down at your hands clenching in your lap.
“A few months ago, I lost my dad,” you begin.
Dean nods. “Yeah, you said—”
“I lost him in these woods,” you say.
That quiets the alpha.
You shake your head, and you find your words as the memories that have been haunting your nights return to you.
“Like I said, we used to go hiking here every year…”
AN: Just so you know, all of the journal entries appear in the official "John's Journal" SPN merch. 😉
Next Time:
Unease prickles down your spine, though you don’t know why.
“Dad?” you whisper-yell, trying not to spook whatever animal might be out there.
A gunshot rings out, along with your dad’s voice in a shout. Your eyes widen in alarm, and you call his name louder, taking off in a run to find him.
You end up rising over a hill you hadn’t crossed before, but you see your dad below; you recognize his bright blue puffer jacket that Mom got him for his birthday. You call his name, and he looks up at you with fear in his eyes.
Not for himself, but for you.

LGBTQ+ Disabled Characters Showdown Finals
Please be civil in the notes. We will block people if we feel it is necessary. A character being canon LGBTQ+ and disabled was not required to be in this competition. Please check qualifications and propaganda before asking why a character is included. This is not a competition of who is better representation.
Check out the battle for fourth place here.
This is a two vs. one poll because Neil Josten and Andrew Minyard tied (by our standards) back in round 4 and moved on together.
Yang Xiao Long-RWBY
Qualifications:
She is canonically wlw (has been for years but specifically kissed and got together with her now girlfriend in the latest season) and uses a prosthetic arm and has been shown to struggle with PTSD due to the traumatic nature of losing it during the show.
Canonically had her right arm chopped off, uses a prosthetic. Has PTSD. Is canonically in a WLW relationship.
She has a canon girlfriend and canonically has a prosthetic arm and PTSD
She's canonically sapphic (part of a recently canonised wlw slowburn relationship) and is an amputee (due to events from the 3rd season finale) who wears a robotic prosthetic. She also suffers from PTSD which is explored in the show
Propaganda:
I will keep on submitting Yang to relevant brackets until I die. RWBY has plenty of strengths and weaknesses with writing, especially Yang's recovery arc, but instead of forcing her to push past her trauma and enter the battlefield immediately, we see her struggle with it, take time to process, and not be pushed into repression and when she chooses to wear her prosthetic, chooses to train to ready herself, and chooses to seek out her family and save lives, she isn't perfectly healed, as no one is. The show depicts her having flashbacks due to sudden loud noise, shaking hand the first few times she has to fight for her safety instead of training with her dad, and snapping at friends when they bring up Blake, the person she lost her arm trying to save (who, near immediately after ran away due to feeling she was endangering those she loved, furthering Yang's already present abandonment issues.) It isn't done perfectly but the intentions and general message sent are extremely positive and honest. She struggles less as the show progresses, and there are opportunities to consider herself less for being disabled or "become whole again" but she explicitly refutes these ideas and says that's she's better because of her failures and losses, and isn't any less whole. Her becoming disabled is also extremely tied to her being LGBT, because, as previously mentioned, she lost her arm protecting her then friend and partner, now girlfriend, directly after the villain who cut her arm off told her love interest that he would "destroy everything [she] love[s]. (Camera pans to Yang, he looks at her.) Starting with her." LIKE. He attacked her BECAUSE Blake cared for her so much and Yang ran to her defense blindly BECAUSE she loved Blake so much. When they reunite, they struggle with communication because Yang feels Blake is seeing her as weak, and through several things, mostly a climatic battle against the man who severed Yang's arm, they affirm each other as equals. I can go on but this is already too long. YANG SWEEP!!!!!
Yang lost her arm while protecting her best friend and future girlfriend from said girlfriend's abusive ex. Had a whole arc about learning to live with that loss and dealing with PTSD. Is totally devoted to and in love with Blake Belladonna and is just the sweetest but most badass character in the show.
She's one of the main characters, and just finished a 10 year slow burn romance. Plus, she has both physical and mental disabilities, but is never treated as lesser or incomplete.
Yang Xiao Long was one of the first examples of a sapphic character I ever saw in animated media with her character journey in the show being an iconic part of my teenage years and current young adulthood. The loss of her arm after a traumatic event in the show's 3rd volume was one of the big shockers of the show that nobody saw coming. Since then the show has done an amazing job in exploring both the mental and physical effects of her losing a limb, gaining a prosthetic arm and the recovery journey. Her character also has a major arc regarding handling her PTSD from both this and her past most notably in the 5th and 6th volume. Her character also has a slow-burn romance with her teammate and fellow main character Blake Belladonna which is one of my fave romances ever (it has everything: canon soulmates, friends to lovers, sunshine x grump, battle couple etc..) that has recently became CANON BABIEE!!! There are MULTIPLE characters in RWBY with various disabilities that are handled well in the narrative but i would say Yangs definitely the top FAVE!
Neil Josten-All For The Game
Qualifications:
I mean he def has PTSD even though it's never like fully fleshed out in the series and also he is demisexual
Propaganda:
Neil goes through so much it's amazing he is still functioning as a person. He bottles up all of his trauma but he still has nightmares and triggers that bring back the trauma he felt from his abusive mafia father and his abusive mother. However, once he lands at PSU to play D1 Exy, he finds a home with all of his other broken teammates and coach. This includes Andrew Minyard, another possible contender for this bracket. While he still has trauma to deal with, he becomes a much more well adjusted and happy person with his teammates. :)
Andrew Minyard-All For The Game
Qualifications:
He’s gay and has some sort of trauma disorder probably.
More about that here.
Propaganda:
Very gay, pretty commonly thought of to have some sort of trauma disorder, he’s neat. I have many thoughts about him as a character but I don’t really feel like writing them.

JayVik firefighter AU headcanons
I’m thinking of actually writing this into a short fic as a change of pace of my modern day college AU that I’m still working on. Just writing some headcanons to get my thoughts in order
- Piltover isn’t a big metropolis in this universe, but a small city in a rural area with lots of forests surrounding the area. A type of city that has everything you need, but only one of each (like one grocery store, one movie theater, one high school, etc.)
- Most people know each other, because it’s a small city, but also because the friend group from high school is still going strong - if not with the added tension between Jayce and Viktor.
- Jayce and Viktor dated in high school but broke up right before Jayce went to prison. Jayce was unwell at the time, falling in with the wrong crowd. He was arrested for possession with intend to distribute. This was not true, but the evidence was against him from the start. He returned to Piltover as a participant in a program for non-violent inmate firefighters: doing good deeds to prove they can integrate back into society and thus maybe get time off their sentence. Jayce got out after saving a woman’s life in a fire, but remained a firefighter. At the start of the story, this has all already happened, but the effects of it are still apparent.
- Jayce’s daughter is now his biological child, not an adopted daughter. Her name is Ellie and she was conceived after a stupid one-night stand when he was hurt after Viktor broke up with him. Ellie’s mother is gone, and Jayce stepped up when he was released from prison. Getting custody was a struggle, but character witnesses in the form of Caitlyn, his mother and his then-captain, Vander helped in him getting her. She’s now 5 years old and in elementary school and loves her father deeply. Having a daughter at 25 was never his plan, but he has never regretted becoming her father.
- Viktor and Jayce dated again when he got back from prison, but broke up when Jayce insisted on becoming a firefighter. Viktor could not deal with the stress of the one he loved constantly putting himself in danger. Jayce understood this, but could not give up his dream.
- Viktor only works at the emergency center in his free time, during the day he works as a high school biology teacher. He’s popular among his students for his no-nonsense attitude and insightful classes.
- Viktor and Ellie grew very close in a very short time, her almost considering him a second father. It broke his heart to leave her, but he and Jayce both agreed it would be better if he wasn’t involved in raising her.
- Viktor’s best friends are a bartender named Violet and her sister Jinx, Jayce is close to Caitlyn and Jinx’s boyfriend Ekko, both firefighters as well.
- Despite this all coming across as maybe a bit angsty, Jayce and Viktor are still reluctant friends. Their obvious feelings for each other keep the other from moving on, but neither is brave enough to commit to their relationship. This results in them flirting all the time and even spending the night together occasionally, much to the chagrin of their friends who then have to deal with the fall-out.
- They still laugh together and share maybe a few hundred inside jokes. If one of their friends hangs out with them, they need to make sure there’s other people as well. A single person joining the hang-out will more often than not cause them to become the third wheel - Viktor and Jayce are just that caught up with each other when they’re together.
- Viktor’s mother died in a fire when he was in high school and he has been trying to figure out who caused said fire ever since. Jayce’s father is dead as well. He was a firefighter too and Jayce’s biggest inspiration, but he died in a car accident. Unbeknownst to him, his father was drunk at the time.
- Ximena LOVES Viktor and has always treated him like her own son. Viktor is still close to her and they always find the time to talk a bit when they come across each other. Jayce loves this, but would never willingly admit that.
- By the time the story starts, Jayce has risen to the rank of captain at his house. Vander has since become the chief of the station, with Caitlyn and Ekko being regular firefighters. Jayce loves his life, he has everything he has ever wanted. Except for Viktor.

a/n: this is a short story from uni- i have to make a collection of them
the one i posted earlier was also one, but these have not recived feedback from my professer or have been majorly edited. enjoy!
High school felt like the longest four years of my life. Days blurred into each other, routines became a way of life, and I thought I had everything figured out. I was one of those kids who had his group of friends, the sport he played, and the classes he took, all laid out in a neat, predictable order. Nothing ever really changed.
And then, there was her.
She’d been there from the start. The girl who wasn’t just a friend, she was something more, though I never said it out loud. We’d grown up together, laughed at the same inside jokes, gotten in trouble for the same stupid things. She knew me better than anyone else, maybe even better than I knew myself. She was the one I could count on for anything. She was the one who could make me laugh on days when nothing felt right. When life got heavy, when there was uncertainty about my future, she was the one I turned to. And I thought that would never change. Or maybe I didn’t think about it at all. Why would I need to? She was always there, like a constant in my life, something I could rely on. But looking back, I see the warning signs. Small things that I chose not to notice.
At first, it was little things— how she stopped coming to my house after school everyday. How she stopped calling me for big milestones. It’s easy to ignore changes like that. Until they hit you all at once. And then, it was too late.
Without her presence, I started hanging out with the kids from my soccer team more, and more. I told them about all my problems with her. Their solution? They wanted me to prank her. I wanted to fit in. So, I agreed.
Maybe I was too busy with soccer, or maybe I just took her for granted. But somewhere along the way, I stopped seeing her the way I always had. I saw how my actions hurt her. But, somewhere along the way i stopped seeing that. I stopped seeing how my actions hurt her.
But I didn’t think much about it at the time. After all, things had always worked themselves out between us, right? I guess I never thought I’d lose her, guess I thought that she’d always be there.
How wrong I was.
And seeing her now after graduation, getting ready to go to college and saying goodbye to friends for one last time, I can't help but remember a time when things were so much simpler.
Age, 7. Grade, 2
“Lan, wait up” she yelled, peddling her feet. I slowed my bike down and turned to face her.
“Hurry up! You're being slow.” she peddled faster. Too fast. I watched in slow motion as she rides over a rock, flies through the air as if it’s molasses, then falls in what seems the same way a feather falls through the air. Then promptly crashes into a trashcan, scattering trash all around and on top of her.
I quickly stopped my bike and ran to her. She was sitting there, covered in trash from the trash can, pouting. As I stood over her, and saw her covered in trash, I almost laughed. “Stop! It’s really not funny” she sniffled, though she now seemed a little happier.
“I've bin waiting for this to happen” I joke, hoping to make her laugh.
“It's really not that funny” she snorts while giggling.
“Yeah, well you’re still laughing” I argue. As she struggles to her feet, I realize I should probably help her. As I move to put her arm around my shoulder, she shoves me off.
“I don't need your help, butthead” she says, crossing her arms and stares at me with her lips pursed.
“Sorry, man, chill.” I say, not really understanding why she didn't want help.
“I got worse when I first started playing volleyball, it's just a little scrape on my knee. It’ll heal”
"Ok "I mumbled, feeling a little stupid.
As we walked home, we talked about silly things, like how funny she looked covered in trash, or about the people we didn't like at school. Before we parted ways, she threw her arms around me and pressed a quick, fleeting kiss that was gone as soon as it started to my cheek. “Bye Lando! I'll see you tomorrow at school!” she said over her shoulder as she ran home.
“Bye” I yell, after she had already disappeared into the house, my cheeks still red.
She had always been brave in her own way. Whether it was running into a trash can then getting back up with a skinned knee and no tears, or hiding her fears behind that stubborn smile of hers, she never changed. She was always the same, brave girl I had known since I was a kid. I wish I had known then how much that bravery would change the course of our friendship.
Age, 12 Grade 7.
The ferris wheel creaked more and more the higher up it went, carrying us higher, and higher into the night sky. Below we could see the rest of the fair, all the people enjoying themselves just like we are.
Her posture was slumped, and she was practically shaking on the little metal bench that lines the side of the carriage.
“Are you scared?” I ask. This wasn't a very normal occurrence, and I was honestly a little surprised.
“What? Me? No! Of course not. I don't get scared” she responded, her voice shaky, and honestly not very convincing.
“Hey, it's okay if you are scared. We all have things we are scared of; it doesn't make you weak.” I say in a soft tone, understanding when to tease and when to be comforting.
“I'm not scared.”
“Yeah? Good, me neither. Honestly, it's really nice.”
“Nice?”
“Yeah. It’s really nice being up here.”
“I guess it is pretty nice.”
“It's really pretty,” I say with a sigh.
“It is,” she responds with an airy voice.
Little did I know that while I was staring at the sky, she was looking at me.
Ever since that night on the ferris wheel, I had developed a liking for stars. She learned more about stars for me, though I didn't know that then. I thought it was just a coincidence, not something carefully planned. Ever since then, we would spend nights under the stars together, gazing upwards.
Age, 15. Grade 9.
“And that one’s named Altair” she said, pointing up at the brightest star in the sky.
“How do you know this?” I ask while chuckling.
“I learned it when I was in 8th grade for my science fair project. I won.”
“I know, you’ve only told me like a million times.”
“I have not!”
“Uh, yes you have.”
“Excuse yo- wow, it's like, really cold.”
“Here,” I say, shrugging my sweatshirt off. “Take it.”
“No, it's fine really. I don't need it, I’m fine.”
“If you don't take it, I’m actually gonna go insane!”
“Fine” she huffed, sticking her tongue out at me. “Thank you.” she mumbled.
“You're welcome.”
“Lando?”
“Yeah?”
“We'll always be best friends, right?”
“Of course we will. No matter what.”
“No matter what.”
Back then, No matter what seemed like an easy promise to keep. Before our future became closer and closer, before I found out she would be going to Yale. No matter what seemed like an easy promise to keep under the soft lighting of the stars, but under the fluorescent lights in the highschool hallways, and the pressure from the guys, the promise broke apart.
“Hey Lan!” she exclaims, coming up to me “Hey,” I respond. “Where are your glasses?” I ask. She has always loved her glasses. She always said it gave her more personality, though I disagree. She has plenty of personality already.
“Oh, I just switched to contacts for volleyball! It's too impractical to have to play without being able to see, ya know? Do you like them?” I actually think that she looks stunning with or without glasses, but since my friends from the soccer team are with me, I just say
“ I dunno man, it kinda makes your eyes look too close together.” I feel absolutely terrible as I practically see her deflate. Her normally radiant smile disappears, her shoulders begin to tremble, and her eyes go glassy. At first, she didn't say anything. I could practically see her brain thinking of ways to respond. She was trying to act relaxed about it, but I knew her well. She doesn't do relaxed about these types of things.
I hear the boys snickering from behind me, making stupid comments about how “he is so right” and “how can she not see that herself?” and “why does she talk so much?”. I'm actually about to turn around and tell them to shut up, and that I am the only one allowed to tease her like that, but before I can, she says something.
“Oh. Well, uh, I should be going to class. I'll see you later, Lando,” she mumbles. Her normally confident posture seemed impossibly timid and shy. Her posture didn't say ‘see you later’. It said ‘leave me alone’.
While she walked down the hallway, the only thing I could focus on was the fact that she didn't call me Lan .
The next few days, I tried finding her, though she kept on avoiding me. Finally, I found her sitting outside at the tables, eating her lunch alone.
“Hey” I greet softly, sitting down at the table outside.
“What do you want?” she responded, her tone sharp. She was wearing her glasses again.
“I wanted to apologize for what I said on Tuesday.” I say, barely audible.
“If you're going to say something, say it louder.”
“I wanted to apologize for what I said.”
“Do you? Do you really? Or is this just another sick prank you and your friends are playing on me, huh? I stood there and took it in tenth grade, when you made fun of my brother, who, by the way looks up to you, in the cafeteria. I stood there and took it in eleventh grade when you texted everyone from my phone things that I would never, ever say about someone and especially TO someone, posted things on instagram that I would NEVER post, and then humiliated me by making me think that you were seriously hurt, then jump up and say “it's a prank” after i started crying? I even stood there and took it when you told me that my eyes were too close together! The one thing you know I'm insecure about, and you make fun of it? You’ve changed Lando! You and your stupid friends have made high school horrible for me! And even though you've been rude, and you've been mean, and you've in general been a nightmare to be around, I'm still in love with you, and I have been for the last 10 years! And I'm done with this! I will not, will not sit here and let you bully me because I’m your ‘best friend’! I stayed your friend because I thought you would notice me! I thought you would realize, but you didn't! And I’m done waiting, okay? I’m done. Bye, Lando.”
By now, she was crying. Before I could respond to her and apologize, I hear laughing and jeering coming from behind me. I turn around and march over to where the boys are standing. They chuckle upon seeing me, and I absolutely lose it.
“Are you guys actually stupid? You made me lose the most important thing in my life, because you ‘thought it would be funny’? She is worth more than you guys will ever be. She was a better friend, a better athlete, but most importantly, a better person than you guys! I’m done with y’all.”
I turn back to where she was standing, but she's not there anymore.
The next few days, I look for her. I see her a couple of times, but she always manages to avoid me.
One night, as I’m packing for college, I hear someone knocking on the front door.
I run down the stairs, thinking it’s the pizza I ordered for me and my sister, but it’s not. It’s her.
“Uhm, I just wanted to return this.” she says, handing me my sweatshirt that i gave to her 3 years ago. “I just thought I should return it before I leave for Yale.”
“When do you leave?” I ask, fearing the answer.
“Tomorrow.”
The second I hear that word, my world stops. I hazily thank her for bringing the sweatshirt back, then slam the door. I vaguely remember stumbling up the stairs, and sitting down on my bed, my mind running a thousand miles a minute.
I’m going to have to live without the person who was there for me at every problem, at every bad game, at every milestone in my life, and I lost her because of my own mistakes. I lost her because I let those stupid kids influence my decisions. I lost her because I didn't know how to communicate my feelings. And now, I’ll never get her back.
I was right. I never got her back. And deep down inside, I knew I was never going to get her back. I knew this when I met Emma. I knew this when I proposed to Emma. I knew this when I invited her to our wedding. But that truly, did not prepare me for when I saw her.
“And do you, Lando Norris, take Emma Sand to be your lawfully wedded wife, to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish till death do you part? ” asked the priest, his voice echoing through the church that held all of our friends and loved ones.
“ I do.”
And then, out of the corner of my eye, I see her, wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. After years of knowing her, I could almost hear her thinking ‘that should have been me.’
And I feel horrible and disgusting and gross thinking this on my wedding day, but I'm inclined to agree. It should have been her. And it would have been, if not for my own stupidity.
And seeing her, brought me right back to all those years ago. And made me wonder; what happened to ‘no matter what.’

Operation Paws Rescue
Kate Bishop x Reader
genre: fluff || warnings: none
Summary: you and Kate are on a mission to save some adorable dogs.
The Avengers had fought many battles, saved the world more times than anyone could count, and taken on threats that no one else dared face. But today? Today was different.
Kate Bishop stood confidently in the center of the briefing room, her purple bow slung over her shoulder, hands on her hips, looking far too serious for the task at hand.
“We’re rescuing dogs,” she announced with a perfectly straight face.
You blinked. “I’m sorry, what?”
“You heard me,” Kate nodded, her tone unwavering. “Super important mission. Top-secret, high-stakes stuff.”
There were a few exchanged glances in the room, but none of the Avengers seemed to argue with her. Clint Barton was grinning behind his coffee cup, Tony Stark was scrolling through his phone (probably ordering more tech), and even Natasha gave an almost imperceptible nod. It was clear that no one was going to question Kate’s mission. It was too ridiculous, too adorable to resist.
You raised an eyebrow. “So... what’s the mission exactly?”
Kate leaned forward, her eyes gleaming with excitement. “There’s an underground dog-fighting ring in the city. The pups are being held captive and used for illegal matches. They need to be rescued, and I’m the only one who can do it.” She swung the bow dramatically. “And I need a partner.”
You shot her a half-smile. “You want me to help you rescue... dogs?”
“Yup. We’re going undercover as dog trainers. I have my credentials.” She pulled out a laminated ID that read “Top-tier Dog Trainer Extraordinaire” with an absurdly cute photo of her and a Golden Retriever.
“Wait,” you asked, chuckling. “You’re a certified dog trainer?”
Kate’s eyes sparkled. “Well... it’s a temporary certification. But I’ve been around enough dogs that I think I can wing it.”
You couldn’t help but laugh. “Alright, alright. I’m in. Let’s go save some dogs.”
* * *
When you and Kate arrived at the shady warehouse on the outskirts of the city, she wasted no time. She pulled a pair of ridiculous sunglasses out of her bag, placing them firmly on her face as she strolled up to the entrance like she owned the place.
You followed, trying to match her confidence but realizing you probably looked more like a confused civilian than a secret agent.
“We're here to assess the dogs,” Kate said to the guard at the door. The man raised an eyebrow, looking Kate up and down like he was questioning her credibility.
Kate smiled brightly, holding up her fake ID. “I’m a professional. We’re here for a very important inspection.”
The guard squinted at the ID, shrugged, and opened the door without saying another word. Kate’s plan was working better than you expected.
Inside, the warehouse was dark, full of cages with barking dogs. Some were huge, others tiny, and they were all either pacing anxiously or wagging their tails at the sight of you both.
Kate immediately dropped to her knees, pulling out a bag of dog treats she had smuggled in her jacket. “Who’s a good boy?” she cooed, reaching for a scruffy-looking terrier who immediately jumped into her arms, tail wagging like mad.
You laughed, shaking your head. “I swear, you’re more excited about the dogs than the mission.”
She grinned up at you while holding the terrier in her arms like it was a prize. “I’m just really good at multitasking. Saving the world and making new dog friends.”
Before you could respond, a loud crash came from the back of the warehouse, and two massive guard dogs appeared, their growls echoing across the room.
Kate immediately stood up, her eyes locking onto the beasts. “Okay, I got this. You handle the backup.”
You raised an eyebrow. “Backup? You just want me to… what? Do what?”
Kate was already on the move, pulling an arsenal of dog treats from her bag, each one more extravagant than the last—peanut butter bones, bacon-flavored chews, and something called a "mega squirrel snack" (which, frankly, sounded terrifying).
“Distract them with the treats! I’ll deal with the big guy.”
You blinked. “I— what?!”
With the guard dogs distracted by Kate’s incredible supply of snacks, you made a beeline for the smaller cages, unlocking them and ushering the dogs out with a lot of awkward coaxing. Some of them were scared, others just wanted pets. It wasn’t exactly glamorous, but you were doing your part.
Meanwhile, Kate had managed to convince the giant dogs to sit in front of her by bribing them with an entire bag of peanut butter biscuits. “You see, I’m really good with animals,” she said proudly, holding one of the dogs’ faces between her hands like it was a tiny puppy.
You just shook your head, watching the scene unfold. Only Kate Bishop would think she could single-handedly calm down guard dogs with treats and an overwhelming amount of charm.
Eventually, all the dogs were freed. You and Kate both knelt down to meet them, laughing as they swarmed around you. “Mission accomplished!” Kate cheered, holding a small, fluffy dog over her shoulder. “We did it, partner. We saved them!”
You smiled, scratching one of the dogs behind the ears. “Yeah, we make a pretty good team.”
Kate’s grin softened for a moment, the satisfaction of a job well done settling in. “I couldn’t have done it without you,” she said sincerely, then added with a wink, “Plus, you look pretty cute with a bunch of dogs around you.”
You couldn’t help but chuckle. “Thanks. You’re not so bad yourself, Bishop.”
As the dogs wagged their tails around you, you couldn’t help but think that maybe, just maybe, saving the world wasn’t always about facing down supervillains or alien invasions. Sometimes, it was about saving a bunch of adorable, slightly confused pups from a bad situation—and having a hell of a good time doing it with Kate Bishop.
The mission was definitely a success.

Pairing: Cowboy!Abby Anderson X Femme Reader
Summary: This follows the plot of their wayward bride by Vanessa Vale. Basically, you run away from an arranged marriage. in the process of running away, you get lost in a blizzard and Abby saves you. Now you are trying to get to know each other and figure out how to move forward.
Chapter 2
Waking feels like a chore you almost don’t want to. You are cuddled into a bed with someone at your back, their hot breath on the back of your neck. Wait, who are you in bed with? You sit up and turn to see a woman lying beside you
. It all comes rushing back to your father and that man, running away, and the person who you know realizes it is a woman cuddled beside you. She's the one who pulled you from the snow and kept you warm. You’ve never heard of a woman working on a ranch before.
“Are you done staring?” She asks, her eyes still closed, startling you slightly. “Oh yes, I’m sorry” you press a hand to your chest only to be met with bare skin. “ Where are my clothes?” You ask, pulling the blanket up to cover yourself. “They were frozen. You can borrow some on mine,” she explains sitting up in the process and exposing her breasts. They are small but very cute. Why are you thinking like this? You barely know this woman. “Is your head feeling alright you took quite the tumble last night?” she asks, pressing the back of her hand to your forehead. “I feel fine, a little sore but alright.”
“How about some breakfast if you feel up to it of course.”She offers to step from the bed, leaving you to stare at her exposed skin. “Umh sure” You blink a couple of times with a blush coating your face. You can wear this for now. I'll find you something better later. I'm sure Dina will have something that will fit you.” She explains handing over a simple white slip. “These are hardly clothes.” the headmistress at your school wouldn’t even let you wear just a slip in the comfort of your room. “It will be enough that you aren't going to be able to leave here anytime soon.”
“What do you mean?” You ask slightly frightened she may try to keep you here against your will. Had you really traded one cage for another? “The snow hasn’t stopped, it will take weeks to clear enough from you to get off our land let alone get you back where you came from.”She explains. “ Now how about that breakfast.” she looks at you sitting on the bed slip still in hand. “Would you mind waiting outside the door while I put this on?” You try to regain at least some of your modesty. “Of course” She smiles and the sight is breathtaking.
✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨
“Who is Dina,” You ask, slowly eating your oatmeal trying to savor it as much as you can. “She's my friend, her wife Ellie works the ranch with me. They have a little boy named Jj” Abby whose name you've just learned says before taking a large bite of oatmeal. Her bowl is twice the size of yours. When prompted she only stated that she was a big girl and she needed to fuel her muscles. “How many others work the Ranch with you” “There is Ellie, Vi she's got a wife Caitlyn she's a really good hunter, then Sevika she has Mel but they've got their eyes set on this girl in the next town over,” she explains before scooping the last bite of Oatmeal into her mouth.
“How did you come to be here? Ranching I mean” you smooth a hand over your slip nervously. “ I was in the army with Ellie when we were discharged. We wandered for a bit before she met Dina. This was Dina’s family's ranch but they passed away and now we take care of it.” “And how did the others get to be here?” You feel nosy but you're so curious. You can’t even read about anything this interesting, “ Vi and Ellie were friends before the war and after they found each other again Vi brought Caitlyn then Caitlyn invited Mel and Mel brought Sevika.”
“So do I get to ask my questions now” Abby asks, grabbing your empty bowl and moving to clean it out. “ Yes, but I have the ability to decline”. “I wouldn't expect anything less. Why are you out there in a blizzard? " She dried the bowl before setting it in the cabinet. “I was running away.” You follow her as she heads into the den the fire from last night dying out. “Who were you running from?” She asks adding a couple of logs and stoking it slightly. “My father wanted me to marry and wouldn’t let me refuse.” you sit on the couch crossing your legs carefully. “ And you don’t want to marry.” She asks, turning to face you. “It's not that I don’t want to but he had to pick this man. He is so old. His kids are probably the same age as me and he looks like he killed his last wife.” You explain an annoyed tone taking over. “So it was the suitor that was the problem”.
“Yes. Why are you so interested in my suitors.” You ask as she sits next to you. “Well I was hoping to court you.” your head whips over so fast a crack reverberates through your body.
“Really.”
“Yes. Is it that nerve-racking.”
“It's just that… You're so beautiful surely you have someone”
“Why would I lie in bed with you if I had someone”
“I don’t know”
“I'm not asking anything of you other than to stay a couple of days and see if you like it here. If you like me.”She had the last part so quietly you could barely catch it.
“I’ll stay, it's not like there is another option right now.”
“If you still want to leave when the weather clears I will take you to the next town or back to your father’s home if you prefer.” Abby offers still staring at you, her freckled cheeks flushed a soft red. “I appreciate that” You don’t know what compels you to take her hand but as soon as you do her eyes light up as she smiles. “ so what do you have to do around here”
✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨ ✨
You and Abby spend the day reading and exchanging stories of your childhood. You had learned her father was a doctor and he too had sent her to a boarding school in hopes she would want to become a doctor as well. Only Abby had been kicked out after starting a fight with her childhood best friend Nora. They hadn’t seen each other since that day after finishing Abby headed upstairs to get ready for bed trailing behind her. “Did she ever apologize for getting you kicked out’? “No, She hasn’t sent me so much as a letter since that day. I tried to reach out when her mother died but she wanted nothing to do with me.” She explains sliding into bed. “But you were best friends, how could you go from that to never speaking again?” Abby just shrugs as you round the bed to sit next to her. “It happens more often than you would think.” you cuddle into her side to leech some of her warmth. “I had a best friend when I was in school.”
“What happened?” Abby asks, her hand petting over your hair. “Her father sent for her. I guess she is married now, maybe she even has a kid.”. “We could try to find her so you could exchange letters.” Abby offers. She is so kind there is no doubt in your mind that the man your father arranged for you to marry would not have ever been this kind to you. “I doubt her husband would let her talk to me anyway. Maybe I could meet Dina soon, we could be friends”. “Im sure she would like that”

December 16th, 2022 - Paris, France
The crisp London air carried a chill, but the sun peeked through scattered clouds, offering a rare winter reprieve. Lando lined up his shot on the green, squinting as he adjusted his stance. His golf bag sat nearby, its bright colors standing out against the muted gray of the sky, while Max Fewtrell and Tom Bale stood off to the side, bantering as they waited their turn.
—Mate, if you take any longer lining that up, the sun’s gonna set,— Max called, leaning on his club with a grin.
Lando rolled his eyes, shaking his head but not breaking his focus. —Maybe if you spent half as much time on your swing, you wouldn’t be in the bunker every other hole.—
Tom chuckled, nudging Max. —He’s got a point. You’ve been shite today.—
Max scowled playfully. —Oh, sod off, both of you.—
Lando pulled back, his club slicing through the air with precision. The ball soared high, landing just shy of the hole. He let out a satisfied hum, tossing a glance over his shoulder. —Like that, Max. Try taking notes.—
—Show-off,— Max muttered as he stepped forward, but his smile betrayed his amusement.
The three of them had spent the better part of the morning on the course, a rare chance to unwind during the off-season. For Lando, golf was less about the sport and more about the company—a distraction from everything else swirling in his life. And today, he needed the distraction more than ever.
As they moved to the next hole, Max and Tom fell into a conversation about their Christmas plans. Lando trailed behind, half-listening as his thoughts wandered.
—So, Dubai next week, yeah?— Tom asked, glancing over at Lando. —Who’s coming, by the way?—
Lando shrugged, nonchalant. —Same lot as usual.—
—You bringing anyone?— Max asked, a sly grin forming.
Lando knew where this was going and sighed. —Why does it matter?—
—Because it’s a couples’ trip, mate,— Tom said with a laugh. —Everyone’s bringing someone. You’re not planning on showing up alone, are you?—
—No,— Lando said quickly, perhaps too quickly. He adjusted his cap, looking down at his club. —Claudia’s coming.—
Max let out a low whistle, clearly amused. —Claudia, huh? The one you’ve been... hanging out with?—
Lando shot him a warning look, but it only made Max grin wider. —What? I’m just asking. You’ve been spending a lot of time with her, haven’t you?—
—It’s nothing serious,— Lando said, his tone clipped. —She’s cool, that’s all.—
Tom raised an eyebrow. —Cool enough to take to Dubai? Sounds serious to me.—
Lando let out a short laugh, shaking his head. —It’s not. Trust me.—
Max smirked. —If you say so. But don’t act surprised when she starts dropping hints about “where this is going” after the trip.—
Lando groaned, running a hand through his hair. —Why do I even hang out with you two?—
—Because we’re the only ones who can tolerate you,— Max shot back, grinning.
The three of them walked down the fairway toward the next hole, the sound of their clubs tapping against the ground a rhythmic backdrop to their conversation.
Tom chuckled, shaking his head. —It’s just funny, mate. You’ve been avoiding labels, but now you're dragging Claudia into a group trip with everyone already in relationships. You know she’s gonna expect something, right?—
Lando's jaw tightened, his thoughts shifting back to Claudia. He hadn’t wanted to bring her, not really. But Max and Tom were right—everyone else was paired up, and he didn’t want to be the odd one out. It was the pressure of it all, the unspoken expectation that if you’re single, you should at least be with someone. And Claudia, despite everything, seemed like the easiest option. Nothing complicated, no strings. Just a temporary fix for a situation he was trying to ignore.
—Yeah, yeah. I know, alright?— Lando muttered, trying to brush it off. He was about to take his next shot when Max cut in again, his tone light but laced with curiosity.
—You sure you’re okay with it though? Bringing her along, I mean. It’s a bit... much for a “nothing serious” kind of thing. You don’t wanna make things weird if it goes sideways. And you know what happened with you and Amelie, right?—
Lando’s swing faltered. He didn’t need Max bringing up Amelie right now. It was the last thing he wanted to think about. But the name hung in the air like a weight, a reminder of everything that had gone wrong and why, maybe, he wasn’t in the mood for another complicated situation.
—Max, please,— Lando said through gritted teeth. —Not now.—
Max held up his hands in mock surrender, his grin fading into something more serious. —Alright, alright, sorry, mate. Just saying, don’t let the pressure mess with your head. You don’t have to drag Claudia along just because everyone else is with someone. You’re better than that.—
Lando wasn’t so sure anymore. He had thought it would be easy, a no-strings arrangement with Claudia, but something kept gnawing at him. Maybe it was the constant reminder of Amelie in his mind, the ghost of what could’ve been and what had crumbled before it even had a chance to start. Max’s comment lingered like a sharp sting. He didn’t need to be reminded of the past right now. The whole thing with Amelie had fucked him up more than he cared to admit, and the more he tried to escape it with distractions, the more it came back to him.
Tom, sensing the shift in the mood, cleared his throat. —Anyway, back to the trip. Have you guys got the plans locked in? Everyone’s still staying in that insane villa?—
Lando nodded, grateful for the change of subject. —Yeah, the usual place. It’ll be good to get out of here for a bit. Clear my head.—
Tom grinned. —Sounds like exactly what you need, mate. Just, uh, try not to get caught up in whatever’s going on with Claudia, alright? I can already tell it’s gonna be... interesting to watch.—
Lando gave him a half-hearted smile. —Yeah, yeah, thanks for the advice. I’m sure you’ve got plenty of relationship wisdom to share.—
Max laughed, shaking his head. —You know, I never thought I'd see the day when you’re the one dodging relationship drama. You’re usually the one stirring it up.—
Lando snorted, not bothering to respond. Instead, he adjusted his stance again, focusing on his next shot. The more he thought about the trip to Dubai, the more complicated it felt. There was the pressure of being surrounded by couples, of making sure he wasn’t the odd one out. But then there was also the nagging weight of Claudia, the girl he’d been casually seeing since November, who, despite what he told himself, was becoming more of a fixture in his life than he cared to admit.
As they moved to the next hole, Max fell into step beside him, dropping his voice so Tom wouldn’t hear. —Lando, about Amelie...—
Lando’s stomach dropped. He knew where this was going, but he wasn’t ready for it. He wanted to forget about Amelie, about everything that had happened between them, but it seemed impossible. She was always there in the back of his mind, haunting him in ways he couldn’t quite explain.
—Max, not now, seriously,— Lando said, trying to keep his tone neutral, but there was a sharp edge to it.
Max didn’t back off. He never did. He had a way of pushing when he knew something was bothering Lando, and today was no different.
—It’s just... I heard from Amelie’s building manager. She’s moving out. She’s leaving London. I thought you’d wanna know. She’s heading back to New York, for good, I think.—
Lando felt his chest tighten, the air around him suddenly too thick. He dropped his golf club, letting it hang loosely in his hand, the swing forgotten. Max was looking at him, waiting for a reaction, but Lando didn’t know what to say. He had no idea how to respond. The thought of Amelie leaving London—leaving completely—hit him like a punch to the gut.
—What do you mean, moving out?— Lando’s voice sounded distant, even to him. He wiped his hand across his face, trying to shake the sudden rush of emotions flooding in. —I thought... she was just in town for the movie?—
Max sighed, glancing around to make sure Tom wasn’t overhearing. —Yeah, well, she wrapped up Wicked. She’s done with that. Apparently, she’s not keeping the place here. She’s going back to New York. Said she’s done with London for now.—
Lando’s mind raced, piecing together fragments of the last few months. He hadn’t really kept in touch with Amelie since the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix, where she’d barely acknowledged him. The silence between them had grown thick and impenetrable, filled with awkwardness and unspoken words. She had been in London during her filming, and they used to spend time together—sometimes with other people, sometimes just the two of them—but after everything fell apart, after they ended it, it felt like she just... vanished.
Max had always kept tabs on her, even though Lando didn’t directly ask. It was subtle, just the occasional mention that Amelie was fine, that she was doing well in her life. But this—this felt like more than just an update. This felt like a chapter closing, and Lando had no idea how to process it.
—You didn’t think to mention this before?— Lando finally asked, his voice tight with a mixture of hurt and frustration. —You knew she was leaving?—
Max winced, clearly sensing the shift in the air. He ran a hand through his hair, looking a bit uncomfortable. —I didn’t want to bring it up, mate. You weren’t exactly in a place to hear about it. And, well... you and her... you know.—
Lando’s chest tightened even further. He hadn’t even realized just how much he'd been subconsciously waiting for some sign from Amelie, some form of closure. And now, just like that, it was slipping away—fading into the distance. He should’ve expected it, really. She'd moved on. She had a life that didn’t revolve around him anymore. And yet, hearing it from Max, like some final confirmation, hit harder than he cared to admit.
—Right, I get it. She’s moving on. Good for her,— Lando said, forcing the words out with a tight smile that didn’t quite reach his eyes. He picked up his golf club, trying to act like it was all just another day, another conversation, but it felt like the ground was shifting beneath him.
Max gave him a look, sensing the weight behind Lando's words, but he didn’t push any further. He knew how Lando operated. When things were tough, he shut them out, locked them away, and kept going. Max respected that, but a part of him wanted to make sure Lando wasn’t bottling up too much.
—If you need to talk about it, you know where I am, yeah?— Max said, his tone softer now.
Lando nodded, but it was a hollow gesture. He didn’t want to talk about it. Not now, not ever. He was tired of thinking about Amelie, of constantly trying to piece together what went wrong, or what could’ve been different. She was gone. She was moving on with her life, and it was time for him to do the same.
But hearing it from Max, that final confirmation, felt like a slap in the face.
—Yeah, thanks, mate,— Lando muttered, then added, almost as an afterthought, —I’ll figure it out. It’s whatever. Just... it’s a bit much today, you know?—
Max didn’t respond right away. He just watched Lando for a moment, his expression a mix of concern and understanding. But he didn’t press, giving Lando the space he needed to process it in his own way.
Tom, thankfully, hadn’t caught onto the tension between them. He was too busy chatting about the best restaurants in Dubai and what kind of trouble they’d get into over New Year’s Eve. But for Lando, the rest of the afternoon felt like it was happening in slow motion. Every word, every laugh from his friends seemed distant, muted. He tried to keep up the conversation, but his mind kept drifting back to Amelie.
She was really gone.
The thought lingered, gnawing at him. He had tried to convince himself that he had moved on. Hell, he’d dated a handful of girls since they’d broken things off, even if they were all distractions—nothing serious, nothing that required much attention. But with every passing day, those distractions started to feel more hollow. None of them measured up to what he’d had with her, even if that was flawed in its own way.
They finished up the round of golf, and Lando couldn’t quite shake the feeling that something had shifted inside him. He was supposed to be getting away from all of this, right? Dubai was supposed to be an escape, a chance to breathe and reset. But instead, all he could think about was what he’d lost, and how much it hurt to finally accept that it was gone for good.
The guys were chatting excitedly about the upcoming trip as they walked back toward the clubhouse. Lando tried to feign interest, but it felt like everything around him had turned into a blur.
—So, you still set on bringing Claudia?— Max asked, nudging Lando as they walked.
Lando hesitated for a moment. The question hung in the air, and he realized he wasn’t sure. Claudia had been a good distraction, a safe choice, but now he wondered if he was just dragging her along to fill the void left by someone else. The pressure to bring someone had been overwhelming, but now that the trip was close, he didn’t feel as sure.
—Yeah, yeah. It’s fine, I guess,— Lando muttered, trying to sound indifferent.
Max studied him for a moment before nodding. —Alright. Just make sure you know what you’re doing. Don’t let things get complicated if you’re not ready for it.—
Lando shrugged, offering a weak smile. —I’ll be fine. It’s all good.—
But deep down, he knew it wasn’t. The trip to Dubai was supposed to be about fun, about escaping the pressures of the season, but instead, it felt like another reminder that nothing ever really stays simple for him. The more he tried to avoid the complications, the more they seemed to follow him around. Amelie’s departure, Claudia’s presence—it all felt like one big mess he wasn’t ready to untangle.
As they got into their cars to head home, Lando glanced at his phone. He had a few messages, mostly from Claudia, asking about the trip and making plans. He hadn’t replied yet. Maybe he was avoiding it. Maybe he was avoiding everything.
But he couldn’t run away forever.
He just wasn’t sure he was ready to face it all yet.

(Luke Castellan x Reader)
You weren’t invited?
Warnings: Soft smut? Making out, a few handsy moments.
926 words, I got tired and a little stumped. It’s kind of shit but this is the first half smut I’ve written; open to advice on it though!
Now Luke and Y/n have a small past—more of a long past—it’s safe to say they are not friends at all.
Luke Castellan was popular around camp for many reasons; most of them were good, but he had his moments with girls; he’s a man-whore, really. Now he was hosting a party, which the whole camp had been invited to except her.
Y/n POV
Where the fuck does he get off? Inviting everyone but me to a party? Fuck that! If I want to go to a party, I will. What’s he going to do? Beat me up!? As if!
I got ready for the party with my friends and gave them a run down on how I would sneak in. I was getting into that party one way or another, whether Luke let her in or not.
Now that I'm nearly at the hermes’ cabin, I feel a bit scared; I mean, it’s just a party. Do I really have to go that badly?Apparently so!
I had to jump in through a window—not ideal for someone in a skirt, but I was driven. I had safely (as safe as anyone would be jumping through a window) gotten through the window and was dancing with my friends, enjoying myself drunk off the night.
Luke Castellan’s POV
What’s she doing here? I didn’t invite her? This fucking bitch is in my cabin dancing to my music, and for some reason I like it? No, I’m just drunk, and she’s just a girl.
He walked up to her regardless of his thoughts, “What are you doing here?” Did that sound too harsh? I don’t even know. “I didn’t see you on the list." Okay, smile. I think I fixed it?
“I came to the party? It’s not illegal to party, is it?” Her voice sounds so smooth—I mean, kind of slurred—but smooth. She looks pretty; her hair looks so messy, probably from dancing, but yet it still looks good on her. Fuck this alcohol must be strong if this is how I’m thinking.
“It’s not illegal, but it’s pathetic; did you need to party that badly?” Gods, I’m such a dick; this isn’t how I wanted this to go...
“Fuck off, Luke, just let me enjoy myself?” Ouch. That was a big bite from my ego. Did she have to be so bratty?
“It’s not like I’m kicking you out? Shit, you’re already drunk and—well, here? Anyway, you owe me!”
Hell yeah, that was a good move, I’m gonna get out of cleaning those tables!
“I don’t owe you shit, Luke.”
“Yeah, actually, you do.”
Third Person
Eventually she had agreed, and the party went on. Luke stole glances at her and her outfit multiple times throughout the night. She wasn’t any better; she was looking over at him, but not in little glances; it was more of a stare, but the alcohol was making her thoughts get a little slow. And so was his.
Y/n POV
How the fuck did this happen? Luke and I are making out in the bathroom? Fuck off. Who would’ve known he was a good kisser?
I had one hand on his shoulder for balance while my other was lingering in his hair, tugging every now and then. Meanwhile, his hands were trailing up under my top, creeping up towards my thighs slowly.
Third Person
His hand had crept further until it was now massaging her tit while his other hand was resting on her waist just holding her safely against the bathroom door.
“Are you okay with this?” His words were slurred and sluggish from the alcohol.
She nodded, and he now had her lifted up onto the sink, holding her waist carefully and keeping her stable. Her eyes dropped to his lips and then back up to his lust-filled eyes; she always knew he was good-looking—not that she’d admit it, but he was. And now that she was eye to eye with him in this hot bathroom, she was completely under his control—or maybe it was just the alcohol.
He leant in, and they started kissing. This time, as they kissed, it was slow and filled with something her drunken mind couldn’t figure out. His lips were moving in a perfect sink with hers while his hands fiddled with her skirt, pulling it up so he could move his hand between her legs onto her pants, rubbing her clothed clitter slowly. His mouth had moved from her lips down onto her neck, leaving all sorts of little marks and spots.
“Fuck, Luke” Her voice was breathy as she spoke while her hand ran through her hair and her hips jutted forward for more. “Little more…”
“More? But you’ve been so bad all night? Sneaking into my party, dancing around like a whore,” he teased her and then grabbed her thighs, spreading them, and stood in between her legs, pressing himself against her clothes clitter and grinding into her.
“Wanna give me a hand?” He basically purred into her ear the scent of alcohol present, sending shivers down her spine from his voice and his moves. She let out a breathy “yeah” and then moved her hand down to his pants, pulling them down, and then moved her hand against his boxers.
“Wanna say please, hmm?” She smirked through her drunken estate.
He mumbled out a desperate “Please” before she moved her hand into his boxers, jerking him slowly with her hand.
Knock Knock Knock
“Anyone in there?”

LONDON ANDREWS : CAREER TIMELINE Updated for 2025
By Andy Acolyte
2005 & 2006 : A young college girl named Jessica is studying to become a teacher. She is artistic, with interests in painting and photography. She is asked to model in college. Then other photographers ask her to model and she starts to be paid to do it. This helps pay for college and is certainly better than working in a fast food outlet...which is what she was doing at this time. Following advice, rather than using her own name, she needs a pseudonym, a stage name for herself. London Andrews is born.
2007 : She becomes a professional model. London Andrews goes from being a pseudonym to a persona. Jessica becomes London Andrews, on the road as an itinerant glamour model making her living travelling around the States, from one photographer to another. A ‘gypsy model’. Half of this time is spent living and sleeping in her car ; hardly glamorous but an exciting adventure. And sadly all this had been partly been driven by family disputes over her modelling. Even though it had only been part time to help pay for college. Around this time she also did what she regards as her hard core porn work, rather than glamour modelling, nude and erotic photography, working for Scoreland making porn videos etc. She came to regret this work later, but has now made peace with herself over this.
2008 : London's career is going well and she's based in Cleveland, Ohio. She travelled the U.S.A. on modelling assignments with her friend and fellow model, Matthew, fulfilling an ambition to travel the route of Kerouac’s novel, ‘On The Road’.
2009 : She moved to Austin, Texas, to be with a long-term boyfriend. They had a loving, open relationship. Meaning that they were free to be with others while they were apart from each other. As she was travelling all over the States because of her success as a glamour and nude model. Challenging the then monopoly of ‘zero’ size models and becoming a pioneer of plus size modelling.
2010 – London spent a lot of time travelling and modelling with her friend Tracy The Tiger, doing everything from glamour to fetish work. London become a vegetarian. This is very important to her and animal rights and welfare will become something close to her heart.
2011 – She breaks up with her long-term boyfriend and moves back to Rochester in New York State. But, sadly her family fail to support her in this time of need. Despite this she was working hard to maintain her success as a model.
2012 & 2013 – London has a very bad time ! She got into an abusive relationship which was very destructive to her personally and her career. At this time she was a part-time model, part-time dog groomer, full-time victim! The toxic relationship also released a lot of past traumas. During her modelling career, she had been, used: abused : attacked : even raped ! The depth of this only came out with the ‘Me Too’ movement in 2017. She even contemplated her ending modelling and working as a dog groomer full time. Everything went wrong for her and she was hurt very, very badly. The damaging effects of the toxic relationship, coupled with P.T.S.D. from the incidents of abuse she suffered as a model and abuse from the time before she was even modelling, coupled with the after effects of other things she had done to herself, put her in a very dark, depressive place.
2014 – She begins the long and difficult process of rebuilding herself, as well as rebuilding her career as a model. It is a constant struggle to overcome the psychological and emotional damage. She has paid a price for the pleasure she has brought to us. She also becomes a strong advocate for the body positive movement.
2015 – London launches her Patreon page, creating the wonderful glamour and erotica material she has become famous and loved for. She begins travelling again and earning money for her self-shot work as well as working with other photographers. But, due to the effects of her traumas, she limited who she worked with to those she could trust.
2016 – London's hard work starts to pay off. Her Patreon site allows her to travel around the globe to do her self-shot work. She is no longer as reliant on the 'industry' and her own work allowed a level of independence she could only dream of years ago. The success of her hard work allows her to both travel more and put down roots. She is in a position to buy a house for herself in Rochester, NY.
2017 – She is producing monthly updates of photo albums, nude dance videos and erotica. She had done animal welfare voluntary work in the past. Now she travels around the world to do volunteer work and for photography locations. She also added Snap Chat and then Only Fans sites to her portfolio of work. The urge for travel and adventure ; one of the driving forces behind her setting off on the road as a model 10 years before, is powerful. London buys an R.V. and embarks on a six month tour of the U.S.A. ,she heads south for the winter.
2018 – This is a year of big changes for London. First and most importantly, she meets a very special guy during her R.V. Tour. So special that they marry at the end of this year. Next, she had often talked about her plans for 'after London'. When she has finished modelling and the persona of London Andrews is packed away and she will return to being Jessica. This now becomes serious, after all she was now in her mid- thirties. Lastly she fully embraces Veganism.
2019 – London embarks on another R.V. Tour of the U.S.A. But, this time there is a purpose behind the adventure. She has always wished to open an animal sanctuary. Now London was travelling to look for a property to set up this sanctuary. Aiming for the Pacific North West as she was also aiming to reconnect with her family, who are now living in Washington State. She has now found her farm and sold her house in NY....And with all this, she still produces fascinating photographic and video work, which is a reflection of her talents.
2020 – She and her husband, along with friends had been working hard to renovate the rundown farm buildings and make the place suitable to start the farm sanctuary. But, events overtook them and they had to start rescuing animals, before the sanctuary was fully prepared. Such had been the impact of the events of the year 2020. They had to start taking rescues before they had planned. And were involved in evacuating other sanctuaries during the massive wildfires along the Pacific coast. The sanctuary achieved ‘not for profit’ status and work was well underway on the buildings and infrastructure of the farm. Even so, the Only Fans and Patreon work continued to flow and excite. She was also planning other things for the future such as photography and modelling workshops at the sanctuary. (note, the continued Covid virus crisis prevented the workshops being held.)
2021 – This year has been difficult and very stressful for London. First, health : This year had opened with London having an operation for a long standing ankle problem. This left her immobile for several months. Then there is the growing impact that her PCOD/PCOS has had on her, causing deep discomfort, increasing pain and interfering with her modelling work. Next financial : First, she had to raise the money to buy several plots of woodland that surround the sanctuary – at short notice and inside a matter of weeks! Then she has repeatedly lost her Instagram account with 1.4 million followers. This is important because it is her ‘shop window’ , the biggest advert for herself and link to the online world. Then there was the threat over summer that OnlyFans would remove her and all other creators of erotica from their platform. So, all-in-all, difficult year.
2022 Sadly the stresses and difficulties have continued. Perhaps the volume of work at the sanctuary had grown so great that it interfered with London's modelling work. There were also financial pressures on the sanctuary as well. For whatever reason her creation of new work for OnlyFans and Patreon faltered. It was becoming apparent that Jessica was losing interest in her modelling career as London Andrews. Then in October, she seemed to have crisis, with a total blank in posting on any site for many weeks. It was becoming apparent that she was losing interest in her modelling career.
2023 – A very counter-productive year for London. For whatever the reason her creation of modelling work and the maintenance of her online profile faded badly in the first half of the year. She ceased to update her Patreon. Ceased to create new material. Then ceased to update her OnlyFans. She has only updated her OF on a minimal, contractual obligations, level, with no new content. Later in the year she then decided to pick a fight with me and attempt to blame me for not being creative and as an excuse for retiring. This included false accusations, lies, misrepresentation and blackmail. She mislead her subscribers and fans by repeatedly promising’ “30 days of new material”. None of which was ever posted !
2024 – London has not been seen all year. She has merely recycled old work to keep her OF account open. She has disappointed her fans by not keeping promises to post new material. So, the persona of London Andrews appears to have been packed away and Jessica has returned to being just Jessica. On a positive note, she and her husband continue to work hard caring for animals at their sanctuary and in the surrounding community. She is loved , happy and fulfilled – and long my that continue.
Goodbye London Andrews.
