Oh! Sorry, I’m not too familiar with how people identify between the two timelines—so I’ll try to elaborate on what I meant😅
I am not too certain if in your AU Casey does travel to the past eventually to stop the invasion and the Krang from taking over. If Casey did travel in the past- like in the movie, even if it was a metaphorical scenario—what would the younger Leo’s reaction be to finding out that we were Krangified and yet were aware? (Unlike Raph in the movie, who when he was Krangified hadn’t been entirely aware or in control).
this question comes from what I remember seeing in some of your AU pieces, that Leo had met us before the invasion.
I hope I clarified this alright, and that I didn’t ask you to spoil or anything. Thank you for your response!
Aaaaaah, ok-ok, got it.
So, if Casey from my AU would go back in time like in the movie, and Leo would've learned about kraang-chan, I imagine him being shocked and flustered knowing that despite being a kraang-zombie, she was able to break the Kraang's mind control. And learning just how deep her feeling for him were would really touch him and leaving speechless, I imagine. He also would become kinda paranoid in attempts to keep her safe and prevent her from getting kraangified. Especially considering the ending I imagine for this au, idk, kinda spoiler, kinda not, but I wasn't planning on doing like an actual comic, so, yeah.
Basically, kraang-chan wouldn't survive to the events of the movie. She would die a few years prior protecting Leo. And learning this would make present Leo want to rewrite those events, try to protect her, and I imagine him like panicking whenever he would see kraang-chan trying to protect him, because this would remind him of the events from Casey's bad timeline.

okay. this one is going to be very niche 😅
There’s a russian tv series from 2003 called “Poor Nastya”. And there was a moment that shocked my system so much (in a good way), and i was reminded about it recently and i just had to rant here.
There are characters: Korf, Repnin, Lisa and Alexander II (future emperor, i’ll call him Alex here). Story takes place in 19th century Russian Empire.
Repnin and Korf are the best frenemies since childhood. One moment they are the bestest mates and another one they are dueling.
Repnin is Alex’s understudy, bodyguard and friend.
Lisa used to be in love with Korf but he didn’t love her back in a romantic way. Due to circumstances they slept together anyway and he broke her heart. Later Lisa and Repnin fall in love.
i know it’s really convoluted, please follow me here 😅
So. Lisa and Repnin are in love now. Korf and Repnin are friends again. But the truth comes out that Lisa slept with Korf a long long time ago before she fell in love with Repnin. For a woman in 19th century to have sex out of marriage is a really bad situation. So Korf and Lisa are being forced to get married, although they don’t love each other romantically and both protest this notion.
They are not married yet. So Lisa comes clean to Repnin and proposes to make a plan to sabotage the wedding. Instead, he doesn’t listen to her, he’s very hurt because he was a rival to Korf before for affections of a different woman. It hurt him badly and now the trauma is resurfacing. Repnin walks away instead of listening to Lisa.
Later, Repnin shares with Alex his hurt and concerns and says he will stay away from Lisa although he doesn’t really want it. The following dialogue takes place.
Alex: Why do you hold it against Lisa? You’ve slept with hundreds of women and she slept only with Korf and only once. How is it fair? You love her.
Repnin: Well. It’s different. I’m a man.
Alex: Solid argument. Don’t forget to remind yourself about that when she’s standing at the alter next to another man.
Repnin: shocked, speechless, starts sweating
I don’t know. It just shocked my system so much because it’s 2003 Russian television. Taking place in 19th century. And the future emperor says that to his bodyguard.
I was really not expecting this to be the outcome of their conversation.
Although, it is a decent thing to say. Like it is literally so normal to counter argue like that. Makes me wonder if the bar is literally in hell.

⭐ For the ask game because, of course, you wanna share something! <3
:D Aww, thank you! Since I have to write a battle right now (which is my least favorite thing to write), I figured I should talk about the one battle I actually enjoyed writing—the battle against the Hex Cait.
The Hex Cait battle ended up being three chapters (chapters 66-68 of the witch AU), which is by far the longest battle I’ve ever done. 😅 Usually I just want to get them over with. But that one in particular I had planned since the very beginning of the story. While I didn’t know what the Noise would be back when I got the idea for the story, I knew I wanted there to be a huge climax on fighting a powerful Noise, where Neku would go against Josh’s orders and come help Shiki and the others fight. …there was also supposed to be some more with the siblings there originally, but the stuff I would’ve included there got handled earlier in the story.
But anyway, with Neku’s entrance, it gave me a little bit of a break so it wasn’t just fighting for three full chapters—but had a moment in the middle where Neku and Shiki could just talk about everything. Where she could let down her walls and talk about her insecurities—everything she was scared to tell him up to this point… and then rendezvous with the siblings to finally beat the Noise.
But even with that part of the plan from the beginning, what really made this battle fun was figuring out how the Hex Cait works. I decided since it was a cat Noise to give it nine lives, each one getting increasingly harder. Plus I had other plot points I’d built up by this point—one of the most fun ones being how until this point, Neku refused to use his latent ability. Once the gloves were off and he was willing to help completely, though, I got to play with all sorts of amazing and fun combinations to really get my creativity going with this battle.
And then for another plot point, the negative side of Beat’s curse. I knew I wanted it to go into full effect after this battle, so… well, my evil author side got to peek out for that one. >.>’~~
…oh right, and then there was another plot point with Shiki that made the first chapter of the battle fun… but I actually still haven’t fully explained that one yet, so I’ll hold off on the commentary there. Plus another plot point with Josh I also still can’t talk about, but… >.>’~ His talk with Mr. H during that battle was also some nice foreshadowing to, well, stuff going on now~ So yeah, the repercussions of that battle have also lasted a while after it, which is another fun aspect to play with~ 💕
Anyway! The other thing with this battle is that I actually wrote it while traveling. I was… I forget if I was going to or from my parents’ place, but they live on the other side of the country. So every chance I got, whether it was at an airport or on the plane itself, I opened up my tablet and just wrote. I wrote almost all three chapters in just that day of travel alone, then told Kazea when I had internet again that she had a bunch to edit. :D’’ She was kinda flabbergasted I’d written so much XD’’
And then her edits… She had me add more to the little Neku and Shiki talking scene, but like… Then there was the edit about the final strike. I originally had Mr. Mew erasing the Noise with one final attack… but then Kazea put something about how like Shiki should do a little more. My brain was just like “how???”… so I thought about it…
…and well, I gave her probably one of my favorite moments in the story with how she ended up erasing it herself… I still want to see that drawn some day >.>’~ Not gonna say exactly what she did ‘cause of spoilers, but when Kazea came back and saw that, she was speechless, ‘cause apparently that wasn’t what she meant at all :D’’ But she loved it, and yeah~
