fuck I feel really bad my good friend and the girl I thought was gonna get valedictorian this year at my old high school just lost it to a fucking lacrosse boy. A smart lacrosse boy but still
#she was such a perfect fit for the role! 96 overall tons of volunteer experience does every speaking event for the school#she’s done a fucking tedx talk!#but the guy (who’s apparently pretty chill so that’s good at least) had a 98 overall#so it went to him based on that#also you need to understand what ‘lacrosse boy’ means at my old school#that’s like saying you (a brilliant student) lost the valedictorian position to a football player#and she was confident she’d get it! she had better qualifications and the school has been known to use those before (they did for me!)#but no he had a better gpa and my dad said that sometimes they just go with that (he used to be admin there so he would know)#she’s emceeing the ceremony at least
