taylor fan brain rot is reading an article about the sexualization of young female celebs in the 2000s and immediately knowing that the very wise writer shaming that behavior is the woman who wrote Taylor's 2009 Rolling Stone cover story.

#shoutout vanessa grigoriadis #fell down a whole 'taylor media in the 2000s' rabbit hole yesterday and GIRL...#i think newer fans (me as a 1989ie included) really don't grasp how she was perceived during that time #she was essentially the ANTI everything. anti sexy siren anti feminist (that was a whole shabang) anti weirdo #and i do think some of the criticism could be injected back into the debate whether she is like countercultural or an underdog or whtvr #but also. that's a 20 year old girl....#there was a super mean article that was just. intense. BUT t actually brought up the very interesting point #that taylor was treated as a 'child prodigy' when she actually is not that much younger than adele or gaga #who were viewed as young women #much 2 think about #because some swifties still did that when she was 24/25 #which is SUPER young!!! and a messy time #but i have rarely seen that happen with other artists
