is it me misremembering cinderpelt as being more important than she actually was in arc 1, or is it the rest of the fandom misremembering and forgetting she exists, because having not read the arc in a while i genuinely can't tell at this point but it still seems so strange to me how excluded she seems from tpb fan content lmfao

#posted this on twitter but it can go here too #she was arguably the third most important female character in arc 1 after bluestar and yellowfang right??#i mean she's contending with sandstorm (cool but underdeveloped) and spottedleaf (iconic plot hinge but dead midway thru book 1)#tpb was really shitty with its female characters but they were still... there...#i think if you went to the youtube community in particular- who mostly consume the books through MAP telephone-#most people there would consider swiftpaw a far more important arc 1 character than cinderpelt is #due to the sheer amounts of focus he gets through popularity dominos and his very simple to convey yet tragic dramatic story #when in reality cinderpelt is a key side character and swiftpaw is a background guy killed off for shock value
