Wandering into a frat party alone was quite literally the least sane thing you've done in a while.

Your best friend, Yunjin, had called you up to meet her at a frat party at the most random hour of the night. The temptation got to you for the worst as you caved in and placed aside your studies in order to get some free booze, even if they're low budget ones.

That only explained why you were there then. Looking between your phone and the sight before you as you walked, trying to get a hold of your friend. She was probably somewhere wasted and you wouldn't be surprised if it was true. 

Once you sent her a text announcing your arrival and hoping for a text back, you slipped your phone away and wandered into the kitchen area, further from the crowded area filled with people dancing quite scandalously.

Whatever dodgy concoction they had prepared there, you took some and sniffed it before taking a sip, shrugging in half approval. You'd take what you have. Soon, you settled yourself in by leaning against the counter, pulling out your phone as it had started buzzing.

You were distracted by the chiming of your phone, realising Yunjin texted back and you immediately replied back. She was, in fact, somewhere in the house, except she was with a guy. Wait, a frat boy, Jay Park? Oh, you've heard of him. 

You didn't want to say much and just texted her back to call you when it's time to leave, or if she's even leaving at all. Meanwhile, you were unaware of the additional presence who had wandered into the kitchen as you typed out your last text.

“Oh—hey,” 

You glanced up from your phone the moment you pressed 'send', staring back at a guy that you swore you've seen somewhere before, he was too familiar. He wasn't just a guy though, he was a hot one. Backwards cap on, dressed in a casual black hoodie and ripped jeans, dyed blond hair peeking out from his cap. 

That was a sight to see. 

“Hey,” you could tell he wasn't expecting your presence in the kitchen just the same as you were.

The corner of his lips twitched, head tilted to one side. “New around here? I think this is the first time I've seen you at our party,”

Our? Was he a part of the frat?

“I don't usually wander into frat parties,” you shrugged, and he nodded, smiling. 

“I'm Jake, by the way. Jake Sim. I'm a part of the frat, we usually have these types of parties on the weekend,” he extended his hand out for a handshake, to which you accepted, staring a little too longingly at his pretty hands and fingers. Don’t be a creep. 

“Am I missing out? I'm Y/N L/N,”

“Well, Y/N, maybe you are,” an apparent accent flowed from his voice, and the way he said your name shouldn't have made you scream inside. “You should come by more often, I'd love to see more of you here,”

“We'll see. I wasn't even meant to be here, but my friend called and I thought ‘why not’ so here I am,”

“It's fated, then. We're meant to meet,” he clapped, lips stretched into a cheery smile that had you swooning.

“I suppose it is,” you let him join your side in leaning against the counter, feeling the fabric of his hoodie brushing against your bare skin. “You know, you look very familiar to me, I think I've seen you before,”

“Yeah?” His tongue swept across his bottom lip, eyebrow quirking with interest.

“Football team. It's you, isn't it? The striker,”

“How did you know?” He seemed genuinely surprised, and you were in disbelief as well. He was much different compared to what you remembered.

“My friend's on the team too, Kim Sunoo,”

“Him!"

“Yes, him! I went to one of the matches and you scored in it, it was a great match," you could still recall the faint memory of Jake scoring, his name blasting from the speakers, back when his hair was coloured black.

“Wow,” Jake stared in amazement, his smile never wavered, only widening. “We're much connected than I thought,”

“We are,” you couldn't help smiling as well, finding his energy contagious and severely intoxicating. You had to turn around and take a sip of your drink as a way to not become flustered around him, but only to notice the rings resting on his fingers.

“Nice rings,” you complimented, and it seemed to be his turn to become flustered. Immediately bringing his hands up for you to look closer and showcasing his rings.

“Thanks,” he said, sounding pleased.

“You have a pinky ring too?” You pointed at his pinky, noticing the silver ring gleaming under the light.

“Pinky ring till I get a wedding ring,”

It didn't hit you until a beat later. He was quoting Drake. 

“Drake? Seriously?” A teasing grin travelled to your lips, nudging him slightly ever so naturally. He didn't complain, just reciprocated your smile, seemingly glad that you caught onto his reference.

“Hey, I'm a big fan. Sue me,”

“No judgement, I like Drake too,” you spoke your half truth, shrugging lightly.

Jake turned to look at you, a light sparkling in his eyes, telling you he had something in mind. “Hey, why don't I give you my pinky ring, and the next time we meet, you give it back to me?”

“What?”

“Let fate decide our next meeting. If we bump into each other again, you hand me back my ring, and I'll get your number. Deal?”

“Sounds good,” why were you doing this?

Even as your consciousness was telling you what stupid idea this was, you couldn’t help but feel confident. There was definitely a next time. You were sure of it. Even after Jake slipped his ring onto your pinky, feeling his skin graze against yours, you were confident that fate would bring you to him, or even him to you.

You bid him a small goodbye, watching his bright energy disappear through the door and be left with yourself, wanting him to come back. Did Yunjin and you somehow suddenly share the same taste in men? Frat boys?

Soon, you abandoned your drink and walked out of the kitchen into the party scene. To your relief, you spotted Yunjin waving at you, a tall boy with silver hair standing right beside her. That was probably Jay.

“Oh my God, I thought I lost you,” she engulfed you into one of her warm hugs while you didn't miss the lovesick smile she always had whenever she was around a crush.

“I would say the same for you,” you nudged her slightly, eyeing her romeo of the night.

“Oh—Jay, this is my best friend, Y/N. Y/N, this is Jay,” Yunjin introduced, and Jay gave you a friendly hug as a greeting. Off the bat, you could tell he was a decent guy despite being in a frat.

“You're not joining your friends for beer pong?” Yunjin pointed out to Jay and you took notice of said beer pong going on across the room. 

There he was. Jake. Standing out amongst the bunch of guys that were most likely his friends, catching your attention in an instant. His baseball cap was no longer worn backwards, sleeves rolled up and showcasing the protruding veins decorating the expanse of his arm. He was holding onto a ping pong ball, aiming at one of the red shot cups and eventually shot it in successfully, letting out a loud laugh while throwing his arms up into a flexing pose and hitting his chest.

What a frat boy. But you think he's a cute frat boy. He was an exception.

“Should we leave soon?” Yunjin had to poke your shoulder to gain your attention back to her. At that realisation, you visibly flushed a tinge of pink, coughing and nodding rather stiffly. You could tell your best friend was suspicious of you, but didn’t press on and told you Jay was dropping you two off.

What you didn’t catch onto as you left the room was Jake’s lingering gaze on you. 

He was going to get his ring back. He was confident about it.

“You’re telling me you’re missing Jay’s friend?”

“I am doing exactly that,”

He wasn’t just Jay’s friend, he was also his frat brother. Yet, Jay was oblivious you two knew each other, or at least that’s what you think in your perspective. 

Telling Yunjin about your happenings from that party was both a good and bad decision. The good part was that she was happy for you. The bad part was realising how predictable you were. In her words, she knew you would fall for Jake especially since you had a weak spot for men with cute smiles. Dammit.

It has been a week since that night at the frat house. To be honest, you could be crazy and just go back to find Jake, but were you going to chase a man like that? No, wake up! But, you were also shamelessly missing him and mulling over the fact that the ring was still on your pinky. 

“This is so stupid, why is he waiting on fate to act?”

“I think it’s cute,”

“You’re hopeless,” Yunjin rolled her eyes, but you just laughed, because you, too, knew it was dumb. A stupid game that tortured you but you enjoyed the anticipation as well. “Anyway, Jay’s going to a football match later in the evening, apparently the team is playing. Before you say no, consider this, he’s paying for dinner after,”

“I like him,” you gave her your seal of approval, and from the looks of her giddy smile, she was satisfied. 

Yunjin was more than happy when she led you through the stands, locating where Jay was sitting. You threw a knowing glance at her, to which she noticed and only rolled her eyes. He greeted you with a friendly smile, saving an even brighter smile for your best friend. It was sickening, but in an affectionate way. 

Realising how you were third wheeling, you took the queue and left, wandering down the stands to get a closer look at the field. You figured that'd be a better idea now that you realised the team was warming up there.

“Y/N!” you were barely halfway down the stairs when you heard your name being called, a familiar face running towards you. 

“Jake!” You jogged a little, reaching the barrier that separated the stands and the field, essentially separating you and Jake as well.

“You're here! At a football game,” he breathed out in a daze, as if he couldn't believe you were standing in front of him.

“Jay brought me and Yunjin here,” you slyly pointed at the duo that sat further up the stands, meeting Jake's playful smirk. You two had the same thought in mind. “Oh right—pinky ring,”

You raised up your right hand, his ring still wrapped around your pinky. At that, Jake's eyes only lit up, flickering between your face and the ring, his smile growing wider.

“You wear it everywhere?”

A rush of heat spread across your cheeks, you found yourself shying away from his gaze. “I didn't know where I'd find you,”

“Guess you finally found me, and I found you too,”

“I'm glad,” you fidgeted the ring mindlessly, looking between it and Jake before you realised the deal. "Should I hand it back to you first?”

“No—wait—maybe after the game?” His indecisiveness was killing him, and having you standing in front of him, it made him extra jittery, he was grateful the barriers were there. “I have a feeling you wearing it will somehow pass on good luck to me,”

Your eyebrows furrowed, a smile pulling at your lips. “Don't know how that works, but I'll do whatever you say,”

“It's true! It's called intuition. I'll win the game and score a goal,” he said ever so confidently, a grin that was challenging your doubts. 

“I believe you,” you said in between giggles, unaware of Jake's smile growing wider as he watched you laugh. “Go and win this one like you always do,”

“I will! Meet me after the game! Get your number and the ring ready,” he casted a wink at you, waving a small momentary goodbye before joining his team back in warming up. 

You eventually joined the two lovebirds and waited for the game to start, a certain feeling of giddiness bubbling in your abdomen. When it was finally time, you watched intently as the referee blew the whistle and the home team began the game. The number five on his back was easy to detect, your eyes followed it the whole time as he ran past defenders and scored a goal.

You and your friends jumped out of your seats in excitement. Yelling and cheering the moment you heard his name being blasted from the speakers. He did prove you right, he scored a goal. The next thing you knew before you could even process it was him pointing up at you. It was clearly directly at you, no mistake at all. As cliche it could get, he sent you a flying kiss, and you only matched his energy, catching it and laughing like some school girl.

He was soon tackled by his teammates and whisked away to resume the game. You were left in the stands smiling like a fool, unable to hide your happiness and blushing cheeks even though people around you had witnessed it whole, including your own friends. But who cares, right?

The game ended with the home team winning and obviously, everyone was in great spirits after. You told Yunjin that you’re finding Jake first, and as she left with Jay, you swore you heard him asking ‘since when did they know each other?’ 

Heading down the stands, you spotted Jake immediately. The team was still lingering around the field, but the second Jake’s eyes landed on you, he excused himself and ran towards you. The widest smile was present on his face, he was shining brightly under the dark skies. 

“Hey!” he pulled you in a hug, reaching over the barrier for you. He was sweaty, but you didn’t mind it. It was his presence and tight hold that you focused on.

“Congrats on the win! You did great,” you said as you pulled away, reciprocating his smile. 

“Thank you. It’s nothing,”

“Okay, you scoring a goal is not ‘nothing’,”  

“But I was right, wasn’t I?”

You rolled your eyes at him, hating that he wasn’t entirely wrong. “Whatever,” you said dismissively, earning a light laugh from him. You took the chance to slip the ring off your pinky, taking his hand in yours, instantly surprising him since it was a totally unexpected move. “Your pinky ring, as promised,”

“Oh, almost forgot,” he let you slip the ring back to the original spot, feeling your touch on his skin and reeling from your close proximity. 

“As for my number … I’ll give it to you once you’re done, I don’t have anything to write on,” you waved your phone in hand, casting him an apologetic smile.

“It’s totally fine. Will you be willing to wait?”

“I’m alright with it. I thought you’re joining us for dinner?”

“Right, Jay told me,” he snapped his fingers, recalling his friend’s text message. How could he have forgotten? He almost asked you out for dinner later as a date. 

“He’s paying,”

“Sweet,” he basically hollered, punching the air stiffly and you laughed at his demeanour. He’s so weird, but in a cute way.

Jake was biting on his lips once a short silence settled between you two. You could tell he was pondering and thinking about his next words. That sweet smile returned back to his lips. “Can I take you out for dinner soon?”

How could you say no?

“I’m down. Definitely yes,”

Jake almost looked relieved, but there was also a sparkle that you saw in his eyes that shined brightly once you’ve given him your answer. You could feel your own heart swelling at the sight of him. His gaze held everything he needed to say. He stared at you with a kind of longing and pining that you couldn’t pinpoint. 

“Great, fantastic,” Jake whispered under his breath, seemingly in disbelief and his dazed look only made you giggle. “I’ll catch up with you after I shower, give me some time and wait for me!”

“I will! The three of us will wait for you so go wash up,”

“Alright, alright,” he threw his hands up in surrender, hesitant to walk away as he wished to talk to you more, but he stank and was covered with sweat, so he didn’t have much choice. 

“Wait for me!” he said, slowly inching away with the silliest grin, eyes crinkling at the edges. 

You responded by gesturing your thumbs up, watching as he turned his back on you, but not even a second later he turned his head back, a small smile still remained. He then started jogging towards the benches, and you definitely didn’t miss his excited jump. 

How were you supposed to survive that dinner date with an endearing, sweet and cute guy like him? 

The truth was, you weren’t.

not even 5 minutes after loading onto the lot and arvin autonomously went straight to ashley to give her a kiss! :o

AND NOT LONG AFTER THAT, cynthia immediately went to talk to ashley to enthuse about fruitcakes 🤨

arvin had fun chatting with cora (they even flirted a bit too!) but lourdes on the other hand wandered off and made herself an enemy 😭 i had no clue what they were beefing about tho

larissa took her own initiative and started a conversation with arvin! he thought her outfit was cute and complimented it which lead to flirting, which lead to francesca being jealous 😭

i had arvin go to francesca to check up on her (and console her bc she was pretty upset and their romance bar went down AGAIN 😭) and she gained a new sentiment: she was in love!

it took arvin a hot minute to talk to everly and when he actually did, things were off to a pretty awkward start 😵‍💫 but everly took the lead and started flirting with him which made him flushhhh omg

but then clementine came over and worked her charm on arvin 👀 he reciprocated clementine’s advances and that got everly pretty riled up 😭 she yelled at clementine and they got into an argument 💀 they have like -20 for their friendship bar 😭

ashley got an attraction buff for gunther munch 💀💀💀

tabby did not give a shit about arvin HAHA they interacted, flirted for a second and then she wandered off to look at the paintings xD

everly’s romance bar with arvin dropped so much after the interaction earlier and i guess tabby sensed it (and also had her eyes on everly) AND THIS POPPED UP 😭😭 guys i swear it’s literally cynthia & tabby’s bachelorette challenge now 😭

Seasons of Love Challenge

If you want a mini-challenge that centers on romance, story, and gameplay, then this might be the perfect challenge for you! I introduce to you, the Seasons of Love Challenge! Pair up or create four pairs and be the matchmaker and the writer of their destiny. Get indulged with their story and help them find love by the end of the season!

For each season, we have different couple that may or may not fall in love before the season ends. I recommend that you edit the in-game season length, it can be up to 7, 12, 21 or 25 days per season, depending to you. This challenge can either be rotational or generational, it’s completely up to you. 

Feel free to remove and add some more activities to the following. These are not really rules, but more like guides or checklist that you can do so that you won’t run out of ideas to do for each round, and hopefully, help progress the relationship of the each pair. 

For those who prefer slow-burn romance (like me!) there’s a Slowburn Romance Edition by the end with some set of rules, be sure to check that out! This is supposedly a personal challenge for my game, but I thought it would be nice to share it with the community. SUMMER

trope:  enemies to lovers

backstory:

 - sim A is demoted from her work because of her hotheaded nature, and was assigned in this town where her grandparents/(or) sister live. She absolutely hates that, she wants to go up the ladder and build her name, but how can she do that now that she's demoted and stuck in this town?

 - sim B is carefree and enigmatic, living his life to the fullest. He used to get sick a lot when he was a child and now that he's a teen and rarely gets sick anymore, he wants to break free from those restrictions and do the things he hasn't done in his childhood. 

how things started:

  ~ Just few days before his birthday, sim B is feeling rebellious and wants to spend the best of his teenage days, even if that means breaking the curfew. So, he stayed out late with his friends to party and even went to the beach and lit some fireworks just before he go home. But, on his way home, the police patrol saw him! He knew he's so screwed, but what can he do? He plead with the cop, which happens to be Sim A, but she don't take any of his bullshit. Which eventually leads to some misunderstanding, fight and disliking each other. Guess the last of his teenage day is remarkable afterall, especially if you're being escorted back to your house in police car. 

  ~ If things aren't already worst as they are, he, unfortunately, bumped with the same cop again when she joined the surfing/scuba diving club. Oh well, guess they have to see each other a lot now. Will this be the perfect summer as he imagined, or will it be totally ruined because of that one hot-headed cop?

backstory:

  ~ Sim A and Sim B where inseparable when they're kids. They spent afternoons playing video games, playing with their toys and painting together. But things changed when they entered High School. Sim B moved to a different part of town and became more distant as she found new circle of friends, and eventually, had a boyfriend. She thought it was forever! Only to find out that she's pregnant with someone who totally, totally dislikes children. So, she runaway from home and found herself back to the small apartment where she was raised, back to where sim A lives just next door. 

  ~ Sim A was surprise to see Sim B again. He always wanted to make up and be friends with her again, but he always felt shy and small when he sees her with her new set of friend and popular boyfriend. Now that she's back, will he finally have the courage to talk to her again? 

  ~ Moreover, can Sim B raised this child alone? And will she find comfort again with the boy next door?

backstory:

  ~ Sim A and Sim B are highschool sweethearts. They dreamed of living together and building their family when they were teens. They thought it was forever. But things took a drastic change when Sim B suddenly disappeared when his father died, leaving him to live with his mother in France, leaving sim B behind. Sim B never expected this, she never expected to bear a child with Sim A as well. She can't seem to find him anymore, but still, she decided that she will raise this child. 

  ~ Years later, Sim B discovered that their child was sick and only had a few months left. Pile with grief, the kid is constantly looking for his/her father as well. Sim B doesn't want to let her child rest without seeing his/her father. So, again, she tried to look for him. And she found him! Turns out that he's now a rockstar in France, with a name and career. After knowing all of this, he quickly booked the ticket back to their town.

  ~ Will him coming back after years of disappearance mend their broken hearts and finally build the family they've dreamed? Or will they stay together just for the sake of their dying child?

He find this new town peaceful and gives him more inspiration to write. Perhaps, he can spend the winter holiday here, or will he decide to settle down in this quiet little town?

~ The death of her mother brings Sim B so much grief. Now that she’s just living on her own, she decides to open again their old bakery and let travelers rent her place. She’s a loner, more now that her mother, her only bestfriend died. Now she just spends her time baking and selling and knitting to ease her mind, will this new traveler who stays with her bring some color in her dull life?

Alice felt stiff at first, but gradually she was able to relax and even fool around a little, singing a lyrical and sensual serenade in the middle of the reading room, accompanied by her guitar. What better thing to do on a date than that? However, there were also kissing behind the bookcase.

That evening Alice thought for the first time that romance might not be so boring and vulgar. And even the most banal things, such as flowers and compliments, become truly special if they are given and done... a special sim.

first of all, i want to thank everyone who sent a sim over so i could play with them. ir really had a blast, and i hope i could make it obvious enough with all the posts about the dates. as you could probably tell by the dates, frankie had a romance bar with pretty much everyone! however, for the sake of making things easier for myself, I decided to only move on with the challenge with sims that had golden dates, amazing compatibilty and that frankie was at least attracted to.

so here are our hypothetical final contestants:

i do have some more important information, though.

as you might see here, i took this when frankie had been to 9 out of 10 dates. all the golden ones are the ones she has pictures with. however, at some point around the middle of the challenge, frankie got this want to ask colette to be her girlfriend. not gonna lie, i thought it would be the endgame.

still, by the time i was done with all the dates, i had asked @lyralow @seyvia @m0ckest and @teadreamsims to tell me their sims' turn ons and turn offs, so we could know if they liked frankie back. i put them in cas, made the alterations and then had frankie ask them over so they could chat and check for attraction levels.

lo and behold, a few things changed:

(please note that i decided to ignore romantic satisfaction at this point, because there was no way frankie could actually nurture relationships while she had to juggle all these people.)

since she got to know them better, frankie ended up very attracted to all of them! however, it was unfortunate to find out that colette isn't that into frankie.

and since that talk things just came progressively awkward and kind of cold between frankie and colette :(((

other than that:

kathleen asked frankie to be her bff, which was cute!

igor invited himself over to "partake in some rousing intellectual pursuits" with frankie, which meant hanging out and being adorable together

juliet tried a mistletoe kiss with frankie, meaning she's the only one who actually kissed her so far!

and that's it, i had to stop playing. now i have a super hard decision to make about colette. i love her to pieces, and frankie was even ready to commit, but it seems that maybe they're not as good a match as we thought before. so, please help!

As soon as Noel aged into a YA, the Watcher set in motion her plan to hook him up with Johnny Wants a Wife former contestant, Riley Morlind. And yes, the Watcher did squeal like a fan girl when she saw how adorable the two were.

Deciding to get two things done at once, she set Riley and Noel on a double date with Raquel and Echo. ( Raquel confessed her love to Adrian after they first woohooed and he wasn’t happy about that so the Watcher took that as a sign it wasn’t meant to be)

"Miraculous!" is the dating sim game where you play as Y/N Dupain-Cheng, an ordinary daughter of nobles-turned-bakers who was enrolled into a prestigious College François Dupont. The main goal of this game is to romance one of three cute boys: Adrien Agreste, the son of the famous fashion designer; Nathaniel Kurtzberg, shy artist with a dark secret; or Luka Couffaine, your bestie's brother and resident badass musician.

But one Marinette Tsukino can't bother much. Gameplay, graphics and soundtrack aside, her main reason why "Miraculous!" is her favorite game is this game antagonist, the Queen Bee, Chloé Bourgeois. In game, she is main character's main pain in her ass, trying to prevent you from romancing any of these three boys. But Marinette deeps further into her personality. She may be the only one in the game's fandom who defends Chloé and gave a lot of thoughts about how she is misunderstood and her eventual faith (dying in the plane crash after both of her neglectful parents said that "she is the problem") was cruel and unfair.

Marinette played "Miraculous!" at night, after she was done with her boring work. She hated it, so much. This game was the only way she can escape the reality. She fell asleep, overworked and exhausted... Then...

"That's ridiculous, Marinette Dupain-Cheng! Utterly ridiculous!"

Chloé Bourgeois has all the volumes of I Favor the Villainess and secretly uses it as her romance guide to wooing her crush.

ok so let me give you the rundown 🤭 you're yunjin's bff. you've done a terrible job of hiding your crush on her, but she's somehow remained oblivious. as besties since childhood, you're rlly close with her family and familiar with their crazy rich shenanigans. what you don't expect though is for your forever-solo bff to suddenly reveal that she's got a new "boyfriend". apparently they're close family friends (aka he's also rlly rich) and their parents are celebrating this new-budding romance at some high-end resort. oh yeah, you're invited too. you mentally prepare yourself to meet this new rival of yours, but OH NO guess what ?! her boyfriend's jake sim, that guy you kinda sorta had a thing with (at least until he ghosted you) during the summer before starting uni. you never really got over him ... basically the next few days pass with lots of uncomfortable tension btwn the two (they're dating so why do they act as if they can't stand each other?) it doesn't help that yunjin consistently catches jake flirting with you. overall, the entire stay is terribly awkward and you feel guilty for enjoying his attention. that is until you realize that they're fake dating. oh and they both like you just as much as you do them. <3

Composed LIS: DE Thoughts,, spoiler warning

I don’t think the concept of the game is bad so much as to what they’ve done.

I think they forgot that Life is Strange isn’t a dating sim(as the newer games have become) and that fans enjoyed the games because of its exploration of characters and their relationships(romantic and platonic). I think many people don’t want to see Max deciding who to romance and I can imagine it’ll take away from the murder mystery plot.

I think the concept for this game was made with original characters in mind, I don’t think it really fits with Max but because they need her powers to push the plot they put them together. Thats how it feels anyways.

I also feel it’s unrealistic that the Chloe that could never let go of max (or Rachel) wouldn’t remain friends or within a close distance of max after a break up. I also don’t know if she would even be the one to initiate said breakup. Though the concept of a breakup does make sense for their relationship. Chloe had so much she needs to work out-but she’s a selfish character. So much of her being /is/ selfish and it’s not always a bad thing, but she did so much for her own benefit, would use Max’s powers to help herself(or often would out max in the position where she needed to save her), then turn it back onto her.

Overall

I believe he concept of the game could’ve been good if things didn’t feel so forced, pushed, etc.

I also don’t like how they changed lore created us LIS2(“after this photo we had a big fight”) it just sort of feels disrespectful to the prior games and lore created

I much preferred the open ended ending we were given for Max + Chloe in LIS 2 than what we received in this game

I am playing, though.

I played a bunch of TS4, and I have thoughts. I love my sim, but I'm also having trouble staying engaged with it. I love that all the neighborhoods are basically stitched together into one uberhood, so I can go visit anywhere at any time. OTOH, all the loading screens and teleportation between lots leads to a sense of disconnect.

I really like how sims can talk to each other while doing almost anything else. More TS3 interactions COULD support conversations, but almost none of them do. 😡

OTOH, I went on a date to a cafe, and I kept ending up in "Awkward" group conversations when I tried to romance my date. Sometimes other sims are just not invited to join in the conversation. Sure, I'd expect the other cafe patrons to get awkward if we started making out, but not when I'm just rolling down the romantic interactions. Fortunately, my date seemed to be receptive regardless.

I love, love, love the clubs system.

I have the Wonderful Whims attraction system, and I REALLY want an attraction system in my game. But my sim was never attracted to anything. When I looked up her preferences, she just liked men with piercings. There were at least 2 other slots for preferences that were unfilled. There aren't a ton of men with piercings, and the only one she had a conversation with was married to another man, whoops. Finally, I added a piercing to a single guy she had naturally built a strong relationship with, and then he started showing up with TWO piercings -- one on either side of his nose. So did he autonomously add the other one?

The reproductive system stuff in Wonderful Whims is really great, very natural. Except the part where my sim got Flirty because of period hormones. From my personal experience at least, that NEVER happens. I guess other folks have a different story. 😆

And here's a stupid thing -- I want to move out of my little starter home, but there are so few lots overall and much fewer empty residential lots that I'm having trouble figuring out a next step up home to move into. I can place one, but it just seems weird to being having trouble upgrading my home.

Finally -- you can only get 3 wants a time? In TS3, you can lock in 4, and with an NRaas tweak, you can also fulfill the 2-5 unlocked ones you have floating around at any given time. My sim is a Glutton, and at least half of her wishes are to eat snacks. Sometimes she wants to talk to people. I've gotten my first big life want to ask a guy to be her boyfriend. I like to follow my sim's wishes around, and so far that hasn't done much.

So, with your Obey Me! posting, I finally broke down and played the game. It's--confusing but also fun!

BUT

I HATE how the game is trying to purposefully pushing Mammon on me. Like--he's such a dick and I have 0 interest in him. Leviathan is on thin ice (I see him more as a friend). I like Satan as a friend, (never thought I would ever say that lol) and Solomon came on REALLY strong during our text conversations, so hard pass for me.

I would like to get your opinion on this since you've played the game longer than I have.

IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT OBEY ME 1: OKAY SO: first off Mammon simply won't get off you there is a shit ton of moments with him (<- *laughs in good for me bad for you*) but other 6 brothers get quite a lot of screen time too (I'd say that it's like this with time Mammon> Lucifer> Leviathan> Beelzebub> Satan> Asmo> Belphegor) and then the rest of the cast doesn't get like almost any romance until lesson 40/60 in OM1 if I remember it right, ALthOugH Solomon gets some background love from start to finish. So for the other cast I'd say that screentime looks like this Solomon> Simeon> Luke> Diavolo> Barbatos

Second: I thought the same at the beggining of the game, the characters REALLY are the kind that just grow on you overtime (I USED TO BE LEVIATHAN HATER AND HE'S MY PLATONIC F/O NOW FOR EXAMPLE)

Third: post lesson 20 everyone is in love with you, but in game there are like...? maybe 2 moments where you get to CHOOSE who you spend time with. So 90% of the content with a potential F/O is in devilgram (so you need to get lucky and get the cards :/ BUT the Devilgrams are like FAR better than main story when it comes to romantic scenes, heck even platonic scenes are better). So at one point the lessons will just be filled with kiss/reject options and then just have some odd tropes just to drop deep lore bombs. It's a mess really.

I'm not even going to talk a lot about Thirteen, Raphael and Mephisto cuz they are basically a fucking joke of a filler characters imo. Nothing good gets done with them. Thirteen is basically "I hate Beel and Solomon. And I like traps so don't mess with me" 90% of the time she speaks, Mephisto has A LOT of potential but in the end he ends up getting the same treatement as Satan, but worse (and Satan does get poorly treated EVEN THOUGH HIS THEMES ARE SUPER COOL). Only Raphael was used in any way to do something interesting, but it was only interesting cuz it had to do with Simeon and he didn't really do that much.

IF WE'RE TALKING ABOUT OBEY ME 2 (nightbringer):

I still need to motivate myself to even play it, didn't get even past lesson 1. From what I know it's just a hard reset and everything gets repeated. BUT I DON'T KNOW IF THAT'S 100% THE TRUTH SINCE LIKE I SAID I DIDN'T GET PAST LESSON 1.

So basically, Obey me has a shit structure as a dating sim. But I am here more for the characters and the community! This game is very silly post lesson 20. AnD also anime is just full of goofy shit, I think it's very funny but you should play the game a bit more to understand a few jokes in it.

So I got a couple of reccs for you two. But before I do that I need to give some brief context. So both of these titles are "otome villainess Isekai". Now for the context, basically otome games are a type of dating sim/visual novel but is aimed at a female audience. Now to give the briefest of rundowns basically the player will be the "heroine" usually a Mary sue with some sort of tragic backstory. And the point of the game is to pursue a male character, usually called a route. (The route will also be usually given the male characters name as well, for example, the "William route" means that the player is trying to romance the male character William. Etc.) There is also a character archetype known as the "Villainess", now this "villainess" could vary from being an objectionable evil person. To being just a romantic rival for the MC. For more info check out the YouTube channel Missopaste as they have a video going in greater detail on otome games and villainesses.

Now on to the reccs. The first one is called "I favor the villainess" a light novel series that is getting an anime adaptation later this year. About a girl named Rei Oohashi who worked at a Japanese Black company and later dies due to overwork. She is reincarnated into her favorite otome game as the MC Rei Taylor. But see, Rei isn't interested in any of the male characters, she's interested in the villainess Claire Francois. Honestly I think you will like this one because of Claire and Claire's father. Not to get into spoilers but I will say this, Claire and her father are if Weiss and Jaques were done correctly.

The second recc is a Chinese manhwa called "Please bully me miss villainess". Now despite the similar names and setups the stories are unrelated. See in this Yvonne is the one who was reincarnated. But she was reincarnated into the villainess of the story. Now Yvonne is fine to avoid the "heroine" Elsa at all costs and try and be a good person. But there is a magic force that tries to force Yvonne to play the "Villainess" role. Only Yvonne can interact with and see the "Villainess system" as it's called in the story. And what the system will tell her is to bully Elsa, usually giving three options to fulfill the bullying. As well as giving Yvonne "villainess points" that she can exchange for money, power, etc. But like I stated before Yvonne is a good person, who doesn't want to bully Elsa at all. Now the "Villainess System" will give three options, the first option is usually the harshest, but offering the most "Villainess points", crossing the line from bullying to straight up assault, one time giving Yvonne the task of slashing Elsa's face with a knife. Yvonne obviously doesn't ever choose the first option. The second option is usually less harsh and more in line with "traditional" bullying. Now because this option is less harsh it's worth less points. One time the system Told Yvonne on the second option to verbally abuse Elsa. But Yvonne doesn't ever choose this one as well. Then there is the final option. This option is usually the least morally compromising for Yvonne as I would classify the third option as mildly annoying rather than bullying. Because it's so mild the third option doesn't offer any points. But Yvonne always chooses the third option. Which does affect her, just not in the way she thought. See because she always chooses the mildest of bullying methods, as well as make sure that Elsa isn't being mistreated by others Elsa has developed a very blatant crush on Yvonne. And despite the doom and gloom of my description it is a fairly fluffy wlw story. With just a touch of angst and tragedy thrown in

Ngl, and I'll be open, I have a guilty pleasure for the whole Isekai/Transport into the other world type stories. It's just the open fanservice for me that really just scratches that itch.

...Guess who's the idiot that deleted the wrong folder, thinking it was the project folders that I finished using (BTW! 50+ Male hairs incoming tomorrow! All that's left is defaults but I need to learn how to do that first) and now the recent neighbourhood that I was having fun with is gone 😭

I thought I was fine since I store backups every now and then but the backup I have for it is super behind so I lost a huge chunk of progress... I wasn't in the mood to play all that again so I just did the next best thing. I extracted the in-game-born premade children and decided to post how they came to be. Because most of them were born from love affairs and it was so funny to see the drama unfold in my game haha.

There's no need to read on and you can skip this post since I'm mostly posting for myself so that I can be less upset that I'll have to start another Uberhood again. And one household had so much drama happening that explaining it all got a wall of text waiting below the read more... So I wouldn't be offended if you skip this and wait for the downloads tomorrow. Also, I guess it can be a preview of what type of kids you could get from my GC sims.

So all these children were just toddlers and/or children in my gameplay but I aged them up to Adults because I plan to also use them to display my future CCs that I made to share. And it's the better age stage to show their feature.

Let's start with the most drama-filled household I had while playing their round!

The Singles Household - Family connection with Grunts & Burb

Yeah... I'm sure this info alone is proof of what went down in this household. But these kids being born doesn't cover half of it! Chloe ended up getting Family as her 2nd aspiration and Erin gained Romance as hers. These changes become the main reason so much drama ended up happening in this house, good god.

Before playing the Single household I had first finished the Grunt family round so Tank was in Uni and Ripp become an Adult since he didn't roll a college want before he aged. So no teens were going around giving the newly turned adult girls nooboos... ew. Anyway, Ripp that had no luck getting any girls to date him, when he was a teen, suddenly had Chloe and Erin having a massive attraction to him as soon as he was greeted into the house by Lola.

Before I could even progress what just happened, Erin goes and ACR woohoo with Ripp, GETS RISKY WOOHOO PREGRENT AS WELL! And then proceeds to destroy Chloe's engagement as soon as the deed was done since Chloe walked in to see the both of them in bed...

It doesn't stop there. While heavily pregnant, Chloe ended up getting a date offer from the townie that Lola brought back from work and guess who she got as her date...DANIEL FREAKING PLEASENT! And they hit it off!!! To the point, she rolled an engagement want for him and I decided "LOL why not, it's not like he'll accept it" BUT HE FKING DID! HE SAID YES!!! Well after Erin gave birth to Fiona, she got an outing call from Jennifer (During the Burb round, Erin become one of the family friends that Jennifer needed for her work promotion... if only she knew) and since Jennifer brought her whole family to this outing, John was also there as well. It was only after the outing event ended that Erin ACR with John to the photobooth, THE FAMILY WAS STILL AROUND BTW, exposed John as a cheater to his family and managed to make it worst by getting Erin pregnant...

Before the end of this household round, Tank walks by (he must have known that his brother had just become a father of three kids) and since Kristen was sent to greet him, they hit it off really well from there. At least she didn't get pregnant right on the first day but only near the end of the round with Levin.

Lola was the only one smart enough to at least keep to herself and flirt with the newly single Mary-Sue while Chloe and Erin were in their clowning hours, lol.

Yep, Dina has 6 kids in total. In order by age, Elizabeth was her first child with Mortimer. They weren't even married yet when she got pregnant with Elizabeth but only after she had a belly pop during her date with Mortimer did he finally roll a want to engage with Dina, thus securing that marry a rich sim want she had. However, the marriage didn't last long since she got caught cheating with Ajay Loner (Mortimer was right there Dina... what were you thinking accepting that kiss...) so at the end of the Goth round she was kicked out after the marriage was broken off.

During Malcolm's round, Dina came by on one of Malcolm's business lots and by herself managed to win him over LOL. It was so funny seeing all the interaction from Dina automatically popping up while the dude was trying to run his business, lol. And here's the kicker! During one of the dates Malcolm and her had, she managed to not only get pregnant with Malcolm's baby but got him pregnant too (thanks to this mod) automatically securing herself with the 2nd richest sim in the hood HAHA!

Wasn't so funny when I suddenly found myself needing to help them take care of 5 newborns at once because Dina gave birth to triplets and Malcolm twins...

John Mole is the worst! THE WORST with how he treats Natasha! OMG! The dude has 3 bolts with her, rolls a bunch of wants for Natasha and seems to be madly in love with her BUT HE WILL KEEP REFUSING TO MARRY HER!!! I thought I messed up the rejection chances mod but no... he really didn't want to get married, EVEN THOUGH HE HAD A WANT TO GET MARRIED!!! Every time I foolishly rebuild the relationship because they sooner or latter always roll the wants to get back in love with each other. But John keeps refusing when ITS TIME FOR THE MARRIAGE TO HAPPEN!!!

Oh but he sure had no issues to keep getting Natasha pregnant every time the relationship was back to "ACR woohoo is acceptable now".
