I was just reminded of a manga called There's No Way I'm The Protagonist (it's quite fun; I recommend it) and then of course I thought to myself what it would be like if it was about Zoro and Sanji.

Some college students think that Nami and Zoro are dating. They're rumored to be childhood friends, and they're clearly very close. Zoro is this cool and mysterious man with scars who rarely talks to anyone, and Nami is a sweet woman and a top of her class student. Plus, they're both extremely attractive. It's almost like they came out of a romance novel. And Sanji loves romance novels. He loves watching people in love, and he often makes up various scenarios in his head with lots of tender moments.

One day, Sanji is forced to move out of his flat and when he goes to greet the neighbours in his new place, he finds out he lives right next to Zoro. At first, he's excited about it, but then he learns what that marimo is really like. He's a rude, sword-obsessed musclehead. And when he sees a bunch of empty take out boxes, he snaps, because how dare he do that to his body? He should take better care of himself! He decides to share the meals he cooks with Zoro and marimo agrees because it's free and delicious food. Eventually, they end up spending a lot of time with each other, and they rather quickly become friends.

After a few weeks, Sanji finally gets to properly meet Nami... who's also not what she seems. She can be childish and quick to anger, and she's money-obsessed. Despite that, Sanji still finds her charming. Both she and Zoro may have their own flaws, but they're good people. They may bicker a lot, but they suit each other, Sanji thinks to himself as he observes their interactions. So his shipping continues. He really roots for them because he wants his friends to be happy.

Imagine his surprise when, one day, Zoro confesses his feelings for him. And in his shock, he agrees to date him.

Criticizing some theories related to the FRobin ship  Part-1

D: Hello, Odacchi! I have a question; will you hear me out? ...Oh, you will? Thanks! Here goes. In the song the Straw Hats sing called "Family", they have a line that goes "We're not acquaintances, we're not friends, we're family". If the Straw Hats really were an actual family, who would be the dad, and who would be the mom? P.N. Nashi

O: "Family" has been aired on TV, and it seems to be the most popular out of all the character songs. I really love it, too. My answer would currently be something like this.

Dad: Franky (Thug)

Mom: Robin

First Son: Zoro

Second Son: Sanji (Punk)

Daughter: Nami

Third Son: Usopp

Fourth Son: Luffy

Youngest: Chopper

The FRobin ship actually came to existence after Oda sensei had given answer to the above mentioned question.This answer was given at the end of 48th volume of One piece.I am going to start my analysis with this theory.

Firstly,the question was asked by assuming a condition that “If the Straw Hats really were an actual family” and while giving the answer Oda sensei used two terms “currently” and “something” which can change the meaning of everything he commented on this context.

  Secondly,while taking a look at this makeshift family, i found a big loophole which makes the whole thing contradictory.Just take a look at Zoro and Sanji’s information provided by Oda sensei .Both Zoro and Sanji are of same age but Sanji’s birthday is 2nd March and Zoro’s birthday is 11th November (From Volume 15).That is, Sanji is 8 months older than Zoro,then how Zoro was the first son? 

Ussop and Luffy are of also of same age but the order is correct in their case.So it can be said that the family concept fails only when we consider Zoro. So from this fact it can be concluded that either Oda sensei have never considered Zoro to be Robin’s son or trying to give a future Zorobin hint.In both the cases the ‘Parents theory’ which the Frobin shippers use fails miserably.Let us consider the first possibility that Oda sensei never considered Zoro to be Robin’s son,then what role Zoro really plays in the straw hat family? Oda sensei had given many evidences of Zoro acting as the father of the crew.The major role a father play in a family is to protect the family even at the cost of his own life.We had seen Zoro doing that in Thriller Bark arc against Kuma. The second important role which a father play in a family is helping in character development of his children.We have also seen it when Zoro had given advice to Chopper in Davy back fight arc. A father is respected by all the members of the family.We have seen how much the straw hats respect Zoro at the end of Water7 arc when Zoro refused to let Ussop return to the crew without an apologize.Above all Zoro gave bath to Chopper at the end of Arabastra arc,an act of a good father.If these evidences are not enough to prove that Oda sensei have made a joke about Franky being the father of the crew in volume 48 then a big hint is provided by Oda sensei himself in the second chapter of the 49th volume. 

When Robin rejected Franky and accepted Zoro,the message become quite clear who Robin actually wants to be with at the end of One Piece and who is actually the father of the crew in her eyes.In this canon event,Oda sensei directly compared the two ships and gave preference to the Zorobin ship over Frobin ship. 

We all know 9 year age difference is neither suitable for defining Zoro and Robin’s relationship as mother and son nor I guess Oda sensei tried to promote child pregnancy in One piece.We have found glimpses of Robin behaving like a mother with Luffy and Chopper but with Zoro, Sanji(most of the time flirts with Robin),Nami(addressed Robin as Robin-sis) and Ussop she never act like a mother.Then why the concept of mother arises here? If we consider the role of a wife in a man’s life then we are going to find out that a wife plays the role of both a mother and a lover at the same time.Here ‘first son’ gives the idea of Robin’s first preference towards Zoro. Until the Thriller Bark arc,both Zorobin ship and SanRo ship have the equal chances of becoming a cannon couple.The ‘first son’ and ‘second son’ was actually the hint given by Oda sensei that after the Thriller Bark arc,the SanRo ship will sink and Zorobin ship will rise.If we just check the One piece episodes after the Thriller Bark arc,the SanRo evidences became almost null while Zorobin became a thing. 

Thirdly,here Oda sensei mentioned Franky as a thug but we all know Franky do not have any fixed personality.His personality changes with the type of beverage put into his stomach.If anyone don’t understand what i am saying then check Franky’s story during timeskip. So I guess it is quite meaningless to say “Franky and Robin are of opposite personalities and opposites attract each other”. 

I still can point out some more facts from this family concept and analyze it but I think i should give it a rest for now.

Couples wearing matching T-shirts

I guess everyone understands which theory i am going to analyze now.Truly speaking, i found it very ridiculous to ship someone only because they wear matching T-shirts.Anyway that is my opinion.At the end of Dressrosa arc,we found Franky and Robin wearing matching t-shirts.I guess couples wearing matching T-shirts is a tradition of Japan,but according to Oda sensei none of these characters belongs to Japan: Robin (Russia) and Franky (USA).So Japanese tradition is not applicable to them.On the contrary,at the end of Water 7 arc,we found Zoro and Robin wearing matching T-shirts and  according to Oda sensei, Zoro is a character from Japan so the Japanese tradition of couples wearing matching T-shirts is applicable in this case.Moreover,not only couples siblings can also wear matching clothes.So,couples wearing matching clothes is just a vague theory.

D: Question. Robin always says frightening things in front of everyone. But in her own thoughts, she oftentimes thinks of fun stuff like "Cats" or "Dress-roba" (T.N. - Dress-roba is a pun on Dressrosa, meaning "Dress-Old Woman"). Why doesn't Robin talk about these thoughts with her crew to make them laugh? I love how Robin is like this. P.N. Y.O

O: I see, that's true. From what I think, from the Punk Hazard Arc when she told Franky (in Chopper's body) not to ever make such a strange face in Chopper's body again, Robin probably likes cute things. But even though she likes cute things, she's a bit dark/creepy herself, so if she tries to put these cute thoughts to words there is a chance it may come out as scary/ominous. That's the kind of woman that Robin is.

In one of my previous Zorobin post regarding Ryunosuke,i claimed that Robin like cute things and not weird things. Oda sensei while giving answer to a question also said the same thing.We know Robin likes Chopper because of his cuteness but in Punk Hazard Arc,when Franky was in Chopper’s body she told Franky not to ever make such a strange face in Chopper's body.From that scene of Punk Hazard Robin made it clear that she don’t consider Franky cute but a weirdo.

 In one of the manga covers i remember Robin trying  to imitate Chopper with Zoro. So i think she considers Zoro as cute.

First, thanks for answering. There is some stuff here I really want to highlight (in good ways). Second: thanks for asking! This is my first night back home and I feel so much better (which is why I posted roughly 25 post today.... Sorry about that to anyone following me or the One Piece tag. Being out of hospital, even if you still can't do much, is really invigorating!)

First, my only negative comment and it's not about you... Just. Man, I think if I find out my brother is secretly throwing some slash ships around then that's pretty much Every Single Person I Know verses Me when it comes to Sanji/Zoro and ai'm fairly certain even he just comes off as Neutral on the subject (though I feel if I worked hard enough I could pressure my brother over to my side, it would just be a blatant abuse of my influence over my younger siblings you love and respect me and who I helped raise so definitely put that on my to do list).

Although, what does it matter because at the end of the day, you're right. The only true romance in the show is between Zoro and sharp, pointy objects meant to slice people in half. And even though you didn't name them, I'm going to assume you listed them in the correct order of Zoro's heart: Waso, Kitetsu, and that other bitch.

That's right, Shusui. You nothing but his side piece. In a very literal sense.

2. I could dig this. For the record, if we're working under the theory that Luffy is still human (or the human stand in) but with a remarkable power then Zoro would be the very closely but not quite humaniod alien (visual clues being things like, idk, bright green hair), Nami would be the looks identical to humans but for some unknown reason everyone in universe can tell she's actually this totally different alien species that also they all happen to discriminate against, Sanji would be the genetically modified human and the rest would be various levels of alien. That is just how these crews are made up.

Oh man, guys, did Eustass Kid break into a museum, steal a dinosaur fossil and hot glue that bitch to his ship?

How is it I have barely met these guys and already am so fond of them? They seem kinda insane. I'm legitimately into it.

For #3 I just want to say that I love both how much you went into your answers and also, "I would never kill any of the ASL brothers under any other circumstances that aren't the FMK game." I respect that kind of commitment to the rules.

4. Everyone knows that marine traditions are rum, sodomy and the lash and we've definitely seen two out of three of those in some form or another. At this point if they're not including sodomy it's because they're cowards.

The correct answer was to make Zoro captain and that's it. He's going to immediately use his first order as captain to handing it back over to Luffy, who is the. Going to proceed to punch his way through those islands. It's not the most clever way to go about it - as far as plans go I would catagorize it under "ways to definitely piss of Trafalgar Law" but it's the Strawhat-iest way.

6. Ooh, I do enjoy ontimontipeias for Apoo. All answers I've come up with have been either pretty fancy smancy musical terms or else something too close to JoJo's Bizarre Adventures - a manga I have never read, but have had to explain the references of yo my little brother.

7. i agree with everything you said here. My one redeeming note for One Piece is that at least Nami and Robin have never been competitive or played off one another as female characters often are when they're so limited. I think that might have killed it for me. Also, this is like the fifth time someone has brought up Port Rocky with me and I've been kinda silent about it because I have not wanted to admit that I have NO IDEA what people are talking about but.... Honestly, I do not.

8. I love the term Supernova, but it's kind of like anchor or Law's ability to switch people's bodies. Kinda comes up for a limited moment and then never again.

I wish they would use it more often, as I love when fictional world's have their own slang concepts. So, for instance, Canvendish's whole thing was he hated that Luffy and co stole away his fame since he was a "super rookie" about two years before them but now no one talks about anything except the worst generation. I keep thinking about how that would have been a great time.to use the term Supernova in a way that contrast it to the worst gen.

Actually, that's the when reason I have come up with the theory that TWG just ruined the term. Like, after them, not even the old rookies who use to be Supernovas want to call themselves supernovas. God, you guys really are the worst!

ETA: I actually had to rewrite this because tumblr fucking hates me. I forgot to mention this time that at least half of that Beckman was given for the delicious image of Zoro as helmsman.

I would totally watch that boy....helmsing? Who even cares. Let's just assume whatever it's called he's doing it in a tank top with the bandana around his arm.

Fun Real Life Update: I have to go in for surgery tommorow, and I'm imagining for the next few days I won't feel much like posting actual posts.

I did think maybe I could throw some questions at you guys. Some hypothetical, some self serving. Actually, scratch that, all of them will be self serving. It will only be like two days and then I'll go back to screaming over the show

(The very last scene I watched showed The Going Luffy so, yes, there will be lots of screaming.)

I'm doing it mostly because I hate hospitals (especially in the current environment) but I love discussing media. I mean I also enjoy flailing over how fucking dumb and adorable Zoro is, but it's a very one sided flailing and thus less distracting. (I'm also kinda nervous even though there is no reason to be, it's just stressful, so I'll likely post a lot. Just ignore me until like Wednesday)

Except the parts where I'm actively watching Zoro be dumb. Those are golden.

My first question is actually super self serving: Do you guys have a preference towards longer posts where I save it all up them jam it together all at once, or when I post like ten small posts one after another because something amazing/beautiful/un-fucking-believable happened and I have no impulse control?

2. What's a Strawhat AU you'd love but have never seen? Assuming you read fanfic and what not. If not, which do you like better the Sunny or the Merry?

3. Fuck, Marry, Kill: Mihawk, Croc, Doflamingo | Ace, Sabo, Luffy | Luffy, Kid, Law | Zoro, Killer, Bepo

4. I just rewatched the scene where Mihawk takes Shanks Luffy's wanted posters. I'm half convinced they are Zoro's dads. There was no question there, just wanted to make the point.

5. Switch every crew members role on the ship. You'll be graded on how long I think they'll survive afterwards.

6. What do you think the naming themes are for the other supernovas? We know Law's are polar animals and Kid's are nouns. What do you think the others are?

7. Pick a Supernova who isn't Zoro, Luffy or Law. Tell me about them. I don't care how factual it is, I just want to really love that supernova when your done.

8. Notice the show never uses the term Supernova after the time skip? Do you think the worst generation ruined it? I do because that would be hilarious.
