"Happy Birthday," Dawn presses a kiss to May's cheek in greeting, finally having gotten everything squared away for her girlfriend's present. She slides an envelope into May's hands, of which contains two tickets to Snowpoint's snow festival.

"I know the cold is rough, but it's worth it. Trust me. They have a ton of giant sculptures made of ice, and they light it up at night. The food is super warm and super hearty - you'll forget about the cold immediately." Her eyes crinkle as she smiles. "And I booked us a big room at a really nice onsen up there. With a private outdoor bath, and a private dinner. It's not a touristy place, so it should be nice and quiet." Dawn moves to take May's hand, squeezing it.

"Make sure you pack warm, okay?"

May doesn't fully take in the sheer surprise of such a lovely gift, not until after returning a playful peck upon her girlfriend's cheek. An entire trip up north, complete with pre-planned activities and lodging accommodations? Startled, she is, to say the very least; no one has ever gone this far out of their way for her, not once. The brunette looks upon the tickets in her hands, heart fluttering almost innocently before enthusiasm takes over.

Leaping to her feet, she pulls the ravenette into a tight, though still gentle, embrace. Eyes well a little, a sniffling sound clinging to her voice as she plants upon Dawn's lips a proper kiss. "I'd brave the cold for ya — any 'n every damn time. Thank you, babe... for all this."

Already, her mind is reeling over what to pack for warmth; seems as though a small shopping trip will be in order.
