I'm still not over what the genshin fandom (specifically meta players) did to dehya tbh...

So yeah since Jasmine and Sara are out of the Finals 😢, I'm left with the BJK Cup and then i'm basically on vacation myself from tennis (as for the more engaged and "stressful" part of watching matches😝- honestly it's "exhausting" being a fan a pause is definitely needed phew 😮💨🤣)
#tennis#jasmine paolini#sara errani#i wonder#got the chance to see a bit of jasmine's match against qinwen and as i feared she was torn apart once again#kudos to zheng how well did she serve! and in general she performed a lot better than i even expected#i thought the tension was going to play in a bit for her but she apparently is getting used to it and more comfortable in important stages#while jasmine probably got overwhelmed by the same tension and tiredness 😟 it was hard to see her so discouraged at some point 😔#did not see jas and sara's match - my father told me it was disappointing#but my father's opinion doesn't count lol because he tends to downplay everyone's performance in sports all the time#and focuses on the bad more than the good - plus he doesn't have a high opinion of sara as a player#(from his high experience as a player or a coach which is uhm zero? 🤣#so i'm not relying on his review lmao - he'd be a terrible coach anyway#because he wouldn't know how to motivate positively a player for sure he'd be so depressing if not irritating)#anyway at this point if i want i can watch matches with a more relaxed attitude now#in all truth at this point i'm rooting for barbora for singles even if i don't know how many chances she has#against the zheng i've seen in the match with jasmine - crossing fingers she will cope better 🤞#as for the doubles i didn't have a real favourite aside jas and sara#maybe one among siniakova/townsend and dabrowski/routliffe? idk but i'm chill at this point#for the rest i care very little about the atp finals or davis cup#since grigor didn't get a spot in the finals (i know he's an alternate but yeah unlikely that he'll play at least from the beginning)#i'm lowkey hoping for casper alex and carlos to find and play some GOOD game (once again especially for casper and a bit also carlos#alex seems more on his way already judging on what i've seen since he's been back)#and high-key hoping that zverev doesn't win 😤#i'm probably a wretched italian for not rooting particularly about our male players 😅#bolelli even comes from my city but i just... don't care about them idk what can i say?! 🤷♀️#it's probably the atp in general that hasn't inflamed me much anymore lately#i'd rather spare my energies for the ladies - and for our team in the bjk cup

god whenever they get around to making xy remakes, i really really really hope they take their time with making those games. please for the love of god let those games shine in the way the original xy didnt. it is legit so stupid how forgettable xy is overall because you can TASTE how much potential those games could have had and so much of it fell flat. please please PLEASE give remakes of those games the spice they deserve

Sometimes I remember my early years in the basketball dyke fandom and suddenly the fact that I married a car fandom fenme makes A LOT more sense

In my hypothetical no-UD AU, Joyce and Bob are seriously dating but Hopper is friends with both of them and there are kind of flirtatious vibes all around. But Will and Jonathan are both just like “whatever, let’s not look at that too closely.”
#bob and Joyce have been dating for about two years#so Jonathan’s basically past the ‘is Bob secretly an awful person beneath his teddy bear facade’ phase#and most of the way through the ‘will Bob devastate Mom and Will by bailing if things get too real?’ phase#and about to enter the ‘why come to me when I am this’ phase#and the ‘I’m going to move to forks because Mom married a baseball player and doesn’t need me anymore’ phase#will is genuinely glad to have an adult man in his life who likes him in a benevolent and genuine and effortless way#but this is the story where lonnie dies and will doesn’t feel much about it#so he feels guilty about the gulf between his affection for bob and the nothing he feels for lonnie#even though it comes from a natural preference for people who are nice and care about him#Bob is well-meaning but he does not understand the depth of dysfunction going on#and he’s like well obviously lonnie wasn’t a good guy but he was their father and i should respect that#and will and jonathan are both like no thank you! we do not want that!#meanwhile Joyce is frustrated because she has actually achieved some stability for the family#and made it so Jonathan and Will can do have a more normal adolescence#but there’s never an actual conversation about this#and it’s really too little too late for Jonathan#so he totally misunderstands what she’s trying to do#and thinks she’s just sweeping his parentification under the rug because she’s embarrassed by it#meanwhile will is like I will be the most normal teen ever#(as long as he doesn’t have to play sports except track ig. he has limits)#this is supposed to be a fairly lighthearted story btw

#is it even possible to end a dnd campaign without crying???#like yes the story is coming to an end and i've known that for a long time. even informed my players about it in the summer#but now that the final boss territory is very close at hand i only have two modes:#a) crying about how happy i am to have had these wonderful players at the table. how lucky we've all been to experience this thing together#and b) crying about how terrifying moving on will be. will there be a new campaign after this? is anyone willing to continue#with me as their dm?#(one of the players is Very likely to drop off once the campaign ends. she moved to a different city during these years and#playing remotely has been really tough for all of us. having even one of the players Not There just makes things very hard)#(and because of that i'm worried about the other ones too. if the group is already losing an entire person who knows who'll stay after it)#i'm afraid to talk about The Future with them before the game actually ends#cause y'know. what if it turns out they'd rather not do this thing anymore after this one ends? would it make things weird until the end?#would *I* make things weird??#idk i'm just. tangled in my head. happy about this wonderful game and terrified of the social aspects of doing it with other people#is there like. a good guide book or something about gracefully ending a very long rpg campaign?#sussitalk

i love video games i really really really do but lately they have been testing me
#first drgn age and now c/itizen sleeper 2...#i'm honestly confused as fuck#weird thing to ask in a post bldrs gate world but do ppl just not want to make rpgs anymore...?#2 games in a row that feel like the writers created characters with very set-in-stone expectations for audience reaction#and an incredible aversion to players not meeting those expectations#the first contract with juni in cs2 was so bizarre#the character was very clearly set up to appear like she was hiding something/putting up a front#though the game seemed confused on whether it thought the player character/the player was supposed to have caught onto this#so the twist felt super weird#and then the game clearly expects ou to immediately side with her after her betrayal#even though you have /very good reasons/ to tell her to fuck off#then seemingly in the middle of the argument the game forgets everything you said up to that point?#and forces you to do a 180#and when another character joins asking why the fuck you're letting juni get away with this#all you can say is 'it's ok we can trust her'#....after i just physically fought her???#i'm being a big baby but this ruined my evening :( i really looked forward to this game as well#at least this was only the very beginning so maybe the writing for other characters will be better#i'm starting to feel like a whiny bitch for saying this#i don't want to be shitting on stuff all the time either#but man.... i just want some good writing...#on a lighter note though the juni thing reminded me so much of how i used to write characters for my dnd campaigns lol#'ah yes i'm creating this intricate character with a hidden backstory'#'but they'll be reticent to share that backstory#of course making them seem mysterious rather than bland and annoying#and when they inevitably reveal that they've been lying to the party the whole time#the party will of course be blown away by their intricate backstory and fleshed-out personality#that i still haven't really told them all that much about!

Recently I've been super into Wuthering Waves (game by Kurogames), and I was thinking of making a post with my headcanons for each of the characters and which dynamics I tend to headcanon them as. Idk if anyone else here is interested but considering I've been rotting my brain with the game recently I think I'll do it anyway, if only for my own amusement ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Also if you like Genshin but wish the battle mechanics in it were more interesting, try WuWa. It's absolutely fantastic and I LOVE the open world movement system so much actually. It's so much fun I genuinely can't even begin to explain.
#also the male characters are hot...#villains are hot#hell even the monsters are hot#that's a bonus for me at least#I'm not particularly interested in the female characters bc I'm not (for the most part) attracted to women (with like 2 exceptions maybe)#but I can see how they could be critiqued a lot esp when compared to how most male characters are literally covered from toe to neck#meanwhile Chixia is out there looking like she'll have a nip slip at any second#so like. I have my issues with it bc I genuinely wish the female mc had the same outfit as the male mc option#she'd look so good in it fr why does she need a dress. give her a leather jacket???#anyway. Anyway. that's all besides the point#the game only just released and is still kind of figuring out its vibe I think#the eng VAs are good but the voice direction is terrible sometimes but afaik they're putting more effort to it now as well#it's such a breath of fresh air to see the devs genuinely listening to players and respecting them#esp after being in Genshin hell for 3+ years#I still love Genshin but I can't see myself playing it nearly as consistently anymore bc like#after experiencing WuWa the controls and gameplay feel SO BAD#and the battles in Genshin just don't feel good anymore bc WuWa does the dodge mechanics and makes it so much more skill-based#anyway!!!!!!! just had the most tense ranked games against a reina. the first match was a promotion one for me and I won, we rematched and I lost that one (reina's win line vs jun is so wild wtf lol) then on the third game I won.
