Not everyone might realize this but I like how Alexandra really respect, for the lack of a better word, Lane's anxious attachment. The way the author writes her jealousy, her all-consumsing, borderline obsessive love doesn't come across as cringe or insulting to the character. But rather as something that makes sense to Lane's personality. Kudos to Sasha for doing it right!!!

Aladdin Review!

ITS SO FUCKING GOOD WHERE DO I EVEN START?

When Arabian Nights started playing I was already in love!

Mena Massoud is so charming he captured Aladdin’s personality so well! He was charming of course, witty, funny and even a little more awkward which made Live Action Aladdin better + HES SUCH A GOOD DANCER I KEPT GRINNING WHILE HE WAS DANCING IN FRIEND LIKE ME

The songs bring so much nostalgia even the background music is definitely something you couldn’t ignore

Will Smith gave the genie justice! He gave the genie his own twists that I absolutely love and im sure Robbin Williams would be happy too

The plot is still similar to the animated one ofc but it has great twists that makes it better :)

The visuals and cinematography and colors was fantastic! Hands down one of the best for disney

All the cultural references are amazing too!! Their costumes, the buildings and everything else was just amazing

1993 Jasmine was strong and independent asf (dont get me wrong, compared to the other princesses she really wasn’t the type who’d wait for a man to save her) but in this film oh god she was a whole new level! Naomi justified Jasmine and gave her different characteristics as well while maintaining 1993 Jasmine’s traits too ! She didn’t wanna marry any prince because she didn’t want her country to be runned by terrible ppl, and she goes to her kingdom’s streets to study and observe her people, not just cause she wanted to escape the palace. Jasmine showed huge leadership in this film and Naomi made sure Jasmine wouldn’t just be a supporting role to someone else’s story. She was so complex and strong. Respecttt

The cinematography and style of this film tho,, it radiates so much bollywood vibes and its amazing

Overall this film was a 9/10 and is one of my favorite disney remakes already if u hate this film yall are either mean or just sad cos it wasn’t white people lol anyway go see the film its great and it wouldn’t disappoint!
