Vet visit / health update
I literally wrote a whole detailed post and it deleted! So here is the short version:
Merry has a cataract on his left eye. It’s nothing crazy but my vet said to keep an eye on it. If it gets huge then he will be blind in that eye. But I have to look out for signs of glaucoma.
Pippin has a corneal ulcer on his left eye. He wasn’t even scheduled for an appt but we were talking about squinty/cloudy eyes so I asked if she could look at his. Last time she saw him she said she saw a scar on his cornea and that it would heal over time. This is why I hadn’t taken him to the vet sooner, because I figured it was still healing. I feel terrible, because I would never withhold treatment had I known! But we have ointment and she wants to see him in a week or so once the ointment runs out. I’m hoping we can treat it with drops and painkillers/antibiotics and not surgery.
