With Thedda and Wyren’s bet in place, both teams took their positions on the battlefield. Calypso immediately squared up with Banjiu, and shooed Fea off of her side. Caly knows what she’s about

Slim decided from the start he would not be using his guns on these people, so he only had his whip out. Corrin, when not preoccupied staring at Banjiu and Lin, was set upon his wizard “rival” Dastan. That magical bastard.

Calypso discovered that Banjiu has some killer abs. And then Banjiu turned into a WEREBEAR!!! (Banjiu’s bear form also has killer abs.)

Dastan turned invisible and stayed that way for the majority of the battle. Corrin used Burning Hands very smartly, angling the cone so as to hit a max of three people at once. To quote his player: “I don’t know how to play a wizard, but I do know how to cast Burning Hands.”

Lin, a paladin, started laying some serious Divine Smites on Fea, who takes extra damage from radiant attacks. So Fea was screaming, since she was actually feeling legit pain for the first(?) time. Calypso used Stunning Strike on Banjiu, promising that their thing wasn’t over, then went over to help Fea.

Lin was also beating the shit out of poor Slim, who still refused to use his guns. He even ate an opportunity attack when reaching out to heal Calypso. (He was distracted because she did the cat thing where her tail brushed against his arm gratefully)

Throughout most of the battle, Corrin’s familiar Bear (in owl form) harassed their opponents. Birdemic.

Kattie used Levitate on Roak (in wolf wildshape) which effectively removed him from the fight. But it also removed Kattie from the fight, as the two started chatting and sharing a joint. (There was one point where they countered each other’s spells, and Kattie revoked Roak’s joint rights. They made up and started talking about the sky being the ground or something.)

Dastan used Counterspell and half the party shouted in disgust. That bastard.

Corrin offered 100 gold to whoever found the invisible Dastan (and kicked him in the nuts). He ended up giving 25 to Lin because she gave him a hint as to how to find Dastan.

Calypso and Lin seemed to develop their own kinda rivalry. The homoerotic kind. ♠️ 😈

Lin did fall, but Mishon healed her back up. Should’ve kicked her sword farther away, Calypso...

With Fea out of the game, Lin ran up to Calypso, and so Calypso found herself caught between two very strong ladies... Oh no, what could be worse than that... 😉

Slim while struggling to keep his organs inside his body lassoed little Mishon, then hogtied him so he couldn’t keep healing his teammates. Mishon whined about this a lot. Poor kid.

With Banjiu’s bear form reduced to 0 HP, she returned to her human form and raged. Calypso could only be happy to see it.

With Dastan spotted, Corrin started slinging spells at him. Get his ASS lil man! (Unfortunately, Dastan is a bastard and dropped Corrin with TWO Fireballs.)

Kattie hit Banjiu with a few Dissonant Whispers, and the bitch kept failing the save, so she was running off the map. Calypso took the opportunity to take Dastan out by kicking him in the nuts. “THIS ONE’S FOR YOU LIL MAN”

(Meanwhile Corrin was asking Mishon for his lemon bar recipe. And asking Lin out. He later found out she’s gay.)

Banjiu and Calypso faced off at the edge of the arena. Calypso got all the way down to one hit point but clutched it out and won the battle, fuck yeah. She took a victory lap. But then after some celebrating/flirting, Calypso returned to Fea’s side, checking in with her, along with Slim.

As those three headed back home, Corrin tried chatting Lin up, and they ended up going on a group outing to the Fighters’ Guild with Mishon and Banjiu. Roak and Kattie went and got food somewhere.

Slim and Calypso went to the market after dropping Fea off (and Fea gave Calypso her little fabric doll from Slim 🥺) to buy rations, cigs, and a new outfit for Slim. Apparently he was going to be meeting up with someone from his past and needed to look nice. Calypso doesn’t know shit about impressing men, but she Is very honest so Slim trusted her judgment. 🥺

(Slim also got a handkerchief for his back pocket, prompting Calypso to ask what the deal with that look was. He did not give her the actual answer.)

Meanwhile Corrin was being such a wingman for Calypso. My fucking MAN

Later on, Calypso and Slim headed to the FG to confront Nik. Calypso paid him the 200 she owed him, but he claimed he was still owed 120 in interest. Calypso didn’t even know what interest is. Slim, aiming his shotgun at Nik, said the deal was off, and he wouldn’t be extorting her for any more money.

Calypso offered to fight Nik one on one, taunting him because she knew he ain’t shit without all his guards and backup. Ultimately the meeting ended without combat, but Nik threatened to get back at them for this.
