                 four sometimes just couldn’t TAKE it. there was always some kind of overwhelming guilt hanging over his head. he’d hurt five again, although UNINTENTIONALLY. he was just following ORDERS. he was made to after all. and to drown it out with the nauseating lightheadedness from the alcohol seemed like the BEST thing to do. and it most LIKELY was not. the operative hardly even BOTHERS to look up at the voice next to him. after he’d confirmed the kill he’s casually made his way to the lounge. 

                   he realises that he didn’t even HAVE to look up to know who he is. he knows. “ FIVE. ” four has to retrain his boiling emotions but he speaks with slight surprise in his TONE. there’s even a slur in his voice, shaking hands let go of the glass on the table next to him and wring in his lap. 

                                “ i’m... i’m a little drunk. ”

      he knows he should , the fact that he DOESN’T is , frankly , making him panic . and the eyes resting on him as he work isn’t helping him calm down any . shoulders tense at the words , eyebrows furrowing in annoyance - less at five , more directed at himself . but three can’t help digging his nails into his palm , barely having time to formulate a response before words are snapped out , eyes glancing at the other for half a second before returning to his work , ‘ i’m AWARE , i’m working on it , five , okay ?! ’
