ava decides to go hunt... seaguls? really? are you that hungry?

tasks have been defined! tempest is taking care of the fishing; dr johannes asked for a proper challenge, so the watcher told him to catch mermaids... 😎 shay didn't listen to the watcher's words and went looking for dolphins! and hazel is planting pineapples!!

dodo is cooking again, so... 🤢🤢🤢 ava is now trying to collect some coins... ariah is building sand castles and hailey is setting her tongue on fire!!

tempest flirts with dodo by the fire. seconds next, shay appears shouting about them all being under surveillance or something... and'. tempest is clearly thinking to herself 'duh, we're on a bachelor, shay...'

kuddos for ariah who discovered the waterfall! and more applauses for shay who keeps flirting with dodo in every opportunity!

what, poisonous ghosts and deadly machetes? that is what dr johannes calls 'small talk'! alejandro was too way too at ease with dr rodes crazy stories; tempest, on the other hand was getting a bit worried... 😁

i think ava was evaluating dr johannes' fortune... not sure he is a man of treasures, ava 😂

no idea why dr johannes is being mean to dodo... i think it had to do with some bad joke from dodo...

and this is the finale of mad about dodo! MAD started on the 10th of june and i think we have come a long way! i hope all of you enjoyed the BC, i sure did! the first round was a blast for me in terms of gameplay - i love the chaos, i admit it! 😆 and i grew too much attached to all the contestants and at this point i wish i could marry them with all my single harpers so they would all appear in the family tree <33

@demonicrosebush lucy was a true player. she was graceful since day one and no deserted island will take that off of her. her late night jokes by the fire will be remembered by all contestants too <33 lucy did develop some romance with both martha and daisy flores so... who knows!!

@panicsimss tempest, another pixel that owns my heart! i absolutely adore her and her paranoid trait. who also love her are alejandro and anselme, these three are besties for life!

@jonquilyst quiet and kind lucian was probably the contestant with more friendships! he was dear to everyone, and particularly to me 🤍 oh and maybe hazel too, with whom he developed some kind of romance *wink wink*

@changingplumbob shay was a favourite of mine since day one. she's fun, she's bold, she's awesome! and both lucian and eleina agree with me!!

@mdshh daisy... i love to look at her, hope you don't mind me saying. this girl was never afraid to get her hands dirty, she played hard but fair! i actually like that of all contestants, it was with lucy that she developed a stronger friendship :)

@tipsy-clouds my dear sierra! i have a bittersweet feeling about her second place because she really had a great chemistry with dodo. also interesting to note is that araminta and sierra did develop a beautiful friendship so i hope this softens any broken hearts 🤍

@ethicaltreatmentofcowplants araminta, the first sim to be submitted to this contest and the last to stand <33 araminta went through this challenge with elegance. she won dodo's heart with grace and... a very bold first impression outfit, am i right? 😏🤍

to you and to the other contestants' watchers, my deep gratitude for sending and trusting me your sims, for following their silly adventures, for engaging daily with my posts, you have no idea how that kept me motivated! thank you for being part of this and be sure that all contestants will forever be part of my harpers lives. you were all amazing!

the last day of this household and emotions are under the skin! ariah and hazel are sharing experiences. ale is gonna find that dodo bird, just watch him!! 😂😂 dodo is playing with his best friend... the football before being interrupted by shay, her paranoid-self, at least!

dr johannes is our daily gardner. shay and ale are fishing and hailey has followed ariah to the waterfall to discover two sims can't bathe there at the same time... meh!

yes, ale is telling the tale of his life!!!! i love how dodo and shay listen to it unbothered by the nonsense that involves polar bears, pinguins, father winter and gnomes... 😂😂😂

day two comes and another good omen for household 2!!

shay is flirting with eleina and then flirting with jaxon right in the first hours of the day! yeah, i'm 'ded' too, mini goat 😂😂😂

dodo spends a few minutes bonding with eleina, while jaxon decides to give roses to robin... - that's not the bachelor, dude!!!

tasks have been assigned! hazel is planting pineapples, shay is taking care of the animals and is responsible for cooking too. lucian is in charge of the coop ;)

Tell us a bit about yourself. What do you do to keep busy? How would your friends describe you?

Okay, well, hi, I'm Shay. I never really fit in at school so after graduation while all my classmates headed to university I wanted something different. I've always liked making stuff so I was looking at getting into carpentry and then one of my dads had the best idea. They both know I love adventure and exploring so they suggested I travel and volunteer with organizations like Habitat for Humanity. I do a bit of carpentry when I'm home to keep the funds up. But yeah I travel the world getting to see cool places, surfing and mountain climbing, and putting my hands to good use making homes for people. Most of my friends are people I've met through that and they'd probably say I'm confident, my dads would probably say over confident, have a passion for making things, especially out of junk but in my defense people throw a lot away too quickly, and... just... a lust for life. But have you looked around? There's beauty in everything.

And why have you applied for Mad About Dodo?

My dad's are worried I'll die alone so have been trying to sort out a way for me to meet people, of course they can't exactly organize a blind date for me when we're in different continents. Don't get me wrong, I would like love in my life, it's kind of the piece that's missing you know. Anyway they sent me the entry details and I have to admit, Dodo is cute. Not that I would just apply because of an attractive person but I was reading about how he's tried other challenges before and I admire his perseverance to keep trying. That's what we have to do at the job sites. So if he's looking for someone to sweep him off his feet I'll do my best.

What do you think of your outfits?

I'm happy they're not just draping us in leaves and calling it a day. I think we've managed to pull together some stuff that'll fit in on an island. But why did we do a cold weather outfit? Aren't islands warm?

How do you see yourself getting on with other competitors?

I've honestly no idea. But I can tell you right now they better keep their pranks away from me. Seriously, a joke that's made at the expense of someone else isn't a joke. Learn how to be funny without punching down.

If you're the kind of person that can spot the good things in life I think we'll get on. I do hate small talk though, let's get to the good juicy stuff! Life's too short to be commenting on the weather constantly.

Tell us about some of your likes and dislikes

Well like I said I really like making stuff. I enjoy fabricating but my favourite is when I can carve stuff like sculptures or furniture. I'm also big into fitness, I like to keep myself in shape. I like yoga to even if I can't balance right half the time.

Dislikes... juice fizzing. I'm not going to go into detail but I had a bad experience. Mischief obviously, I'll crack jokes anytime you like but don't expect me to tie you to a voodoo doll. Programming is also something I just find boring as well as research, so it really is best that I didn't go to university.

What are you looking forward to?

Getting to know Dodo. Hopefully he can be more than a friend. I'm also looking forward to testing out my survival skills. I think they're pretty good with the work I've done but you never know until you're in the situation I guess. But yeah, mainly getting to see if this guy is the one for me, if I can be the one for him.

What are you dreading?

Sunburn! And walking around not realizing I've been pooped on by a bird.

I know most people would probably say lack of bedding and plumbing but I've gone without them before, I can handle going without them again.

Do you have a message for Dodo?

Hey Dodo, if you want someone who can work wonders with their hands I'm here *laughs* No, I'm kidding, please don't tell him I said that. Umm... Hi Dodo, I'm looking forward to building this next part of my life with you in it. See you on the island!

day starts with lucian and hazel hanging out in the sea. cute!

and shay welcomes our first baby chic! she named it plumbobie❤️

jaxon is our handy man today, he paints and he works the wood! eleina is in charge of fishing and hazel takes care of the animals.

lucian is chasing frogs cause it's fun ;) robin cooks, he farms and he sets the fishing traps. please, marry me, man!

sooo... robin's food is not the best, okaaaay?? 😂 and jaxon, hold on! what did daisy d do to you??

the night comes and dodo hangs out with lucian and hazel and has some nice talk with shay, daisy d and eleina too. but hey, girls, dodo is soooo tired!

the day starts with peace... well, some peace. there's a line to the bathroom, dr roder!!!! hailey is ignoring all the turmoil going on on this island.

so it seems ava has been listening to some rumours about a bat very much in love... 😝 meanwhile, hazel and dr. johannes discuss... epicureanism??? omg! i am astonished!!

tasks are shared and ariah is on a quest for dolphins! dr johannes is becoming an environmentalist. hazel is the one in charge with fishing and ale is (re)planting our lost pineapples plants!

ava ignored the watcher's task and decided to get a tan. tempest is having fun by the waterfall and ariah keeps looking for those dolphins!

shay is practicing handiness and dodo seems quite proud of her efforts 😁❤️

oh... tempest thinks we are all gonna die because of the poluted air from the volcano. still, she finds time to "make eyes" to our bachelor 😎

tempest! now you're making alejandro feel worried too *rolls eyes*!!! and ava, why being mean to ale?!?!!?

shay does not want competition... hehe! seriously, dodo was flirting with tempest and she interrupts shouting paranoid fears! bless them 😂😂😂

i will be taking two days off because this has been a real crazy schedule for me to play and edit eveything ;)

but i wonder... will we keep having bad weather? or will the sun shine upon these contestants? will there be any more dates at the WowWow Hut? will they find more enemies than friends in the savage fight for survival in this island? who knows... stay in tune :)

meanwhile, ale is telling to every kind soul (who wants to hear it) about this whole thing of bird sighting! dr roder is the first... loss :P

hailey is warning you, people! there's a storm coming, and no, it's not just a cloudy day, ava!!!!

shay and ariah seem to be planning some freetime activities! ariah is a born football player, my friends, even dr roder is impressed!

dr johannes is living the life, mark my words! he totally ignored the watcher's mandatory tasks and decided to get a tan and a waterfall bath!

hazel and ava were sent fishing, but ava seems to be plotting something involving pufferfish (gladly her fishing skills are not that developed!! phew!)... hailey was sent beachcombing, but very reluctantly, cause she is sure there's a storm coming and she is not gonna die on this island!! 😟

the afternoon continues, with a dumbfounded dodo staring at ale's football skills. ariah is responsible for collecting food. tempest was sent to clean the island but she's feeling a bit squeamish about it all. and ava is cooking... let's hope there's no poisoning involved!!

and while hailey gives another alert to her fellow islanders, the storm really seems to be coming!

ava is storm's first victim... oops! 😶 what goes around, comes around, i guess...

ale makes sure everybody is okay and protected from the lightnings. bless his soul ❤️

to entertain the bachelor, hazel picks up the ball to show her skills, but unfortunately, the ball hits dodo's face and... well, better change strategy at this point 😝

and this day wouldn't be a proper day without some colective paranoia moment, right? welcome to the paranoids team, hailey!!😉😁😁

the day ends with dr johannes showing off his football skills and some friendly talk between him and dodo. and no, dood, doesn't seem dr johannes wants to join the bros team 😎

as dawn arrives, and with the island for himself, dr johannes has an eureka moment. no idea on what it consists of, but let's just hope is not some evil idea😶😂
