Hello, dolls!! Hello, weekend!!! ❤ This weekend went by so fast — and I love it!! I am finally enjoying my weekend with #MyABoys!! So if you have noticed, my blog is starting to be active again. This year, I am committing to a lot of things this year, one of which is to post more! So far, with my 4th entry this month, I think I am doing pretty well 😛
A and I are starting to seriously plan our trips this year. We are only 2 months away from our anniversary so I know reservations have to made soon because with all of the events and gatherings we have for some of the weekends in between, we pretty much only have a month left to get this trip planned!
All the planning and researching are making me think about Manila a lot. So for my entry this weekend, I would like to share with you our last few days in MNL which will conclude our MNL trip in 2015. And a little bit of our first month as a married couple in Baltimore.
Coming back to Baltimore as husband and wife ❤
I married someone that I want to travel the world with! Can’t think of anyone else ❤
I always make sure I see my best friends more than once when we are in Manila. The last one is always a dinner that I host at home. We call it “rooftop” dinners! lol
This one is extra special because I wanted to thank them for being my rock when I was planning my wedding and when I said I do ❤
Surprised the girls with a copy of one of my favorite pictures of us on my wedding day and a card, of course, to express how much I appreciate them ❤
A and I cooked for them!! Something that we both love doing for our family and friends ❤
Risotto, tomato basil bruschetta (a must when we are all together)
steak dinner for MZATC!
Fresh basil from our mini garden at home
Pink Moscato
First time to play Monopoly deal!! There were lots of screaming and laughing that night.
We ended the night the way that we always do….sleepover!! ❤ Doesn’t matter if I am already married…sleepovers with my girls will forever be on the list of things that we will look forward to whenever we are together!
Favorite.
To thank our Ninongs and  Ninangs we invited them for dinner at El Cangrejo.
The plan was to eat as many crabs as we want…
..and wine!
Can’t leave Manila without getting a new do!
Shawarma buddies 😛
Interns 2012 ❤
Goodies from Japan from Klariz ❤
Teary-eyed. I can never get used to it. Airport sendoffs are always sad for all of us. No matter how much we try to be positive, being away from each other leaves a void in our hearts.
————————————–
Came home to my work shoes looking like this. Had to order my 3rd Sanitas, and the same thing happened after less than a year so now I am using “CrewsForShoes”..so far no broken sole yet!!
First time to see our family in the US after we got married. Spent Memorial Day weekend in New Jersey ❤
First brunch date in Baltimore with my husband ❤
Bloody Mary for him.
I’ve heard good things about Zen West. I think the food is good, but the service that we got was pretty bad..
Ordered a dessert (that they do not make in house) to make up for the bad service.
Such a shame that aother good restaurant closed in Baltimore!
Visited this boy to help them get settled at their new home ❤
Addition to my collection ❤
Always happy when I bring home new books ❤
Mall trip haul

Excursion Baltimore's new R. Residence meals hall
Jon Constable and his partners at Seawall Improvement Co. Toured food markets around the united states of America earlier than establishing Baltimore’s R. House in December.
It was Brooklyn’s Bergen, a larger corridor with meals providers, that inspired Constable’s eureka moment — their new vacation spot may want to right away enchantment to households and urbanites. “Cool and youngster-pleasant don’t should be at the same time specific,” Constable says.
The 350-seat R. Residence functions excessive chairs and plays regions to appeal to families and a big vital bar that draws a crowd later at night time. Roll-up garage doors from its preceding incarnation as a car showroom and colorful, comfy sofas and plants scattered throughout the 50,000-rectangular-foot space give it a creative experience.
Located much less than a mile from Johns Hopkins College inside the Remington neighborhood, the $12 million marketplace incorporates 10 eateries serving the entirety from Venezuelan arepas to Hawaiian poké to tacos. R. Bar serves local beer, wine and seasonal cocktails from Aaron Joseph and Amie Ward.
Nationally, the general public’s urge for food for casual, chef-driven principles maintains to grow. Developers and superstar cooks are presenting a brand new food hall every week, consistent with a record from real property firm Cushman & Wakefield. A number of the extra excessive-profile initiatives: Anthony Bourdain’s 155,0000-rectangular-foot marketplace is slated to open in The big apple in two years, and new Eataly locations debuted remaining yr in NY and Chicago. meals corridor tenants range from Michelin star chef-driven concepts to new upstarts.
And indeed, at R. House, tenant Federico Tischler has worked at Michelin-starred restaurants in South The united states and supplies specific takes on arepas (crammed corn wallet) at White Envelope. “It’s a car to show the culture and taste of Venezuela,” Tischler says.
Vegetarian restaurant Stall eleven serves smoothies, smoothie bowls, salads and noodle dishes with greens sourced from the proprietors’ hydroponic city farming initiative, urban Pastoral. Dual sisters Nat and Much Teng introduce Hilo, Baltimore’s first spot to serve poké, a Hawaiian dish presenting cubed uncooked fish atop rice. Some other sister duo, Heather Chung, and Mimi Kim, promote Korean dumplings and rice bowls at Be.Bim.
nearby restaurateurs have multiplied their commercial enterprise at R. Residence. Serving breakfast sandwiches and coffee, Ground & Griddled proprietor Dave Sherman additionally operates Café Cito in Hampden. Recognized for his famous Baba’s Mediterranean Kitchen, Farid Salloum has opened Mediterranean eatery ARBA, whose menu consists of falafel, shawarma, and hummus. The Hidden Poisons in Junk or Rapid food
There are times while some need to shop for a snack while out however one should look at what they may be eating before taking junk food for granted. Observations of practices associated with Rapid meals in a meals corridor at the nearby mall were each an eye fixed-opener and a aa003e33992aa1e42449a037e2560bf2. One is aware of the threat of both salt and sugar to the fitness of the frame and the appearance of a mother with a infant in a pusher at one of the storefronts despatched shivers via me.
A couple of minutes in advance a body of workers member introduced a newly cooked basket of chips and tipped them into the proper container behind the counter. He then salted them and thoroughly, I would upload. Stirring them up he went returned internal when Another guy, in all likelihood the owner, got here to the chips and persevered to salt them once more. Whether he knew they have been already salted or no longer is of little result but there was no verbal exchange obvious between the 2.
The mom then ordered a bag of chips from a third guy who, before dishing them right into a bag, salted them once more. She exceeded the bag of chips to her daughter along with a can of coke and left the child to consume them as she walked alongside. The salty ships made the need for the gentle drink even greater pressing and as it is full of sugar I wondered at what the mother turned into wondering.
The facts are we don’t know what humans do to our food earlier than we purchase it. Did they wash their palms after traveling the restroom is something that is usually on my thoughts? Of path now most wear plastic gloves while serving meals and albeit that is not an awful lot of a comfort. Looking the personnel sweep the flooring, wipe down counters and even empty garbage tins with them on and then not converting the gloves before serving the clients is horrible. They often use the identical hands and gloves to handle the food as properly.
Toxic debris can reason demise and the sugar and salt-weighted down meals are a recipe for diabetes, obesity and coronary heart troubles. no longer many care about these items, manifestly, because the venues are normally crowded and people seem over-demanding to stuff themselves at any cost. It’s all adding to the clinical payments and the loss of pleasant of lifestyles that many suffer as they age.
The Exceptional World of Artisan Salami – Connoisseur meals
We’ve got a few surely precise best salami manufacturers within the Uk, and their merchandise are famous and award-prevailing. But the number one countries for the manufacturing of this famous and moreish Gourmand food tend to be in Europe – Italy, France and Spain inside the essential – in which the correct weather gives ideal conditions for properly curing the meats, by using supplying always proper air temperatures and humidity to supply a lovely quiet product.
Salamis, Parma ham and the famed Pata Negra Iberico ham can be cured for quite a while; certainly, a number of the best satisfactory Bellota Spanish hams may be cured for up to five years – producing a completely unique depth of flavour with a glorious sweetness that commands fierce charges in the pinnacle meals halls of the world.
As with lots within the Global of Gourmet food, artisan salami is produced the time-ingesting, labour extensive hard way – and relies strongly on satisfied animals; pigs which are allowed to graze acres of woodland and meadow, feeding on all those tasty morsels that supply their meat its distinctive flavour – in the end, the famous Bellota that you’ll pay attention associated with Spanish hams is purely to do with the acorns that the Pata Negra pigs feed on at some point of grazing. It’s those acorns that produce the sought-after nutty flavour and the pretty appropriate marbled effect one finds in the meat, which is generally a completely darkish red colour and always oily – it is corn oil this is! Grazing on a free variety basis will allow the beef to expand in a way it truly is no longer feasible if the animals are stored in battery, in which the lack of exercising who give a fatty meat and not using a actual flavour.
whilst getting the beef prepared to go into the salami casing these artisan insist on doing matters the difficult way, frequently the usage of historic hand-operated equipment that has been in the business for generations as that’s the most effective way it could be finished – otherwise the product’s fine could be compromised; the use of present day business equipment could spoil the feel and consequently the flavor of the salami.
The salami is then fermented and then cured for a duration of up to 17 days whilst it’s equipped on the market; all through this time the salt on the out of doors of the salami draws the moisture out and the humid conditions within the fermenting room maintain the salami’s casing from drying out and sealing up, trapping the moisture internal. It’s crucial that the salami is thoroughly perforated throughout, particularly wherein there are air pockets – permitting air flow around a into the salami, to treatment it and help eliminate extra moisture.

Food near me
I really like German Wine and food – A Pfalz Riesling
If you are looking for best German wine and food, recall the Pfalz region of southwestern Germany. You could discover a good deal, and I hope that you may have fun on this reality-filled wine schooling Tour in which we overview a neighborhood Riesling.
The Pfalz location is just about as far as you can get from Berlin and nonetheless stay in Germany. Just over the border lies the famous French wine-generating location of Alsace. In reality, one principal Pfalz wine producer has sizeable vineyards on the other aspect of the French border. Its grapes are taken into consideration German or French, depending on wherein they’re processed.
Has Pfalz been making wine for a long time? The wine museum in Speyer, Germany proudly displays a pitcher amphora containing 1600 yr-antique wine, possibly the oldest wine inside the world.
Pfalz is about 50 miles lengthy, no longer some distance from the river Rhine. The fine vineyards have been in the palms of the Church until Napoleon’s go to. The vicinity boasts of approximately 25,000 vineyards whose average length is less than 2.five acres. not noticeably, maximum of these grape growers are component timers. Pfalz changed into historically the primary German wine producing location. It now ranks number, now not far behind its northern neighbor Rheinhessen in both general wine manufacturing and vineyard acreage. This region is every now and then referred to as The Palatinate, and has been known as the Tuscany of Germany. As you might guess from its massive wine manufacturing, the vicinity enjoys a slight climate. Who might have thought that figs and lemons grow in Germany? They do inside the Pfalz.
White wine represents about 80% of the whole wine manufacturing. The 2 pinnacle grape varieties grown here are Müller-Thurgau, a German advanced hybrid, and the frequently noble Riesling. The maximum common pink grape is the Portugieser range, however, you could locate Pinot Noir right here, specifically If you ask for Spätburgunder, its German name. about 10% of Pfalz wine is classed as primary table wine, over 70% as center high-quality QbA wine, and the rest better excellent QmP wine.
The German Wine Avenue crosses the Pfalz area. Definitely anywhere you go in this Road you could find something worth seeing, really worth tasting, and that I daresay really worth consuming. One location to visit is Deidesheim with its historic homes, city hall (Rathaus), and churches, especially the Gothic Church of St. Ulrich. every Pentecostal Tuesday the church’s access is the web site of a billy-goat public sale, folk dancing, and a parade. The neighboring village of Lambrecht can pay a tribute of a billy goat to Deidesheim for grazing rights, and has been doing so for more than 600 years. The region consists of the Schloss Deidesheim, a fort first constructed inside the 13th Century. The existing fort turned into constructed in 1817. The original fort’s moats at the moment are gardens. Other sights include neighborhood artists, and the wine estates of Pfalz’s important manufacturers, the 3 Bs, Wasserman, Buhl, and Bürklin.
earlier than reviewing the Pfalz wine and imported cheeses that we had been fortunate sufficient to purchase at a neighborhood wine save and a neighborhood Italian meals save, here are a few suggestions of what to devour with indigenous wines when visiting this stunning place. Start with a Pfälzer Teller (Bratwurst) In your 2nd path experience Schönhof Pfannkuchen (Ham Gratin in Brandy Cream Sauce). As a dessert indulge your self with Rotweinkuchen (purple Wine Cake).
OUR WINE evaluates Coverage All wines that we taste and assessment are purchased at the total retail price.
Wine Reviewed Lingenfelder Chicken Label Riesling 2004 eleven% alcohol approximately $13
Allow’s Begin by quoting the marketing substances. Bottles of Rainier Lingenfelder’s ornithological labels are deservedly sought-after, due to the fact they offer super pleasant at superb costs. This off-dry Riesling, which pairs superbly with medium-spiced Thai dishes, is an excellent example. You get lovely, rich fruit (tropical, melon, citrus), zesty acidity, and wonderful balance, It’s a great pick out-me-up for dreary iciness days, too: open a bottle and sip it before dinner.
before my overview of this wine, I would like to make a quick touch upon the bottle. I don’t think that I ever observed a bottle tougher to open. It may occur two times, however, it really might not manifest 3 times or greater. And now for the overview of the wine itself.
My first pairing becomes with a cheeseless lasagna. The wine turned into very great with fine fruit and gently acidic. The acidity did an awesome job of reducing the beef’s grease. when it encountered a slice of poppyseed cake the wine has become greater acidic however remained superb. It tasted of melon and citrus fruit.
This Riesling next observed baked filo dough rolls covered with the aid of sesame seeds, stuffed with Floor fowl and peas, and crowned with a center Jap salsa. The salsa changed into moderately spicy and blanketed tomatoes, crimson peppers, and onions. This pairing was pretty a success. Once again the wine’s acidity cut the meat’s grease, and the salsa intensified the wine’s fruit. The meal’s end became now not as first-class; a slice of apple cake containing mint chocolate turned into actually too candy for the wine. Interestingly sufficient, the cake did intensify the wine’s citrus flavor.
I then attempted range-top cooked chook in a sauce containing paprika and cumin, potatoes and tomatoes. The wine became pretty fruity; this time I tasted the lime. It turned into refreshingly acidic.
Cheap Party Halls For Rent
The only German cheese to be had in my favorite imported cheese save become a Limberger. This cheese is famous for its pungent odor, being the target of comedy by using Mark Twain, Charlie Chaplin, Abbot and Costello, Looney Tunes and others. Limberger is a cow’s milk cheese with a tender interior. whilst I bought this cheese it had Absolutely no odor but by the time I paired it with this wine the smell started out to expand. The wine changed into capable of hold its fruit, however, did have a flat aftertaste. inside the presence of a ripe French Camembert, a cheese made from unpasteurized cow’s milk, the wine lacked fruit, however as if to compensate, also lacked an aftertaste. Neither pairing changed into successful.
