shaulissa/shaunahat being out of left field is a good thing imo. we needed a new queer relationship to shake up the fandom. lowkey a lot of the ships have been kind of boring and so canonizing something that no one expected makes all the queer fans happy while also not igniting a shipping war. the fandom was getting a bit stale.
