I had to reread book two to get a refresher and as usual the cliffhangers are epic in this series. But the cliffy at the end of this book is particularly brutal, because so much is happening in the last chapter. With all the chaos and, dare I say, havoc going on when I read the last words my reaction was not good. At first I flipped the page just because I didn’t realize that was it. Then I flipped back to read the last sentence and then I may have shouted “No” and tossed my kindle not so gently. That’s how good the writing has gotten in this series. The books feel way too short because the writing sucks you into the story and you can’t put it down. I’m so invested in this series now that I can’t not know what happens to them all. These characters are so gritty and real, that you relate to them very easily. At least for me. The storyline isn’t so far fetched that it’s actually believable and that makes it easy to feel invested. Now I just feel like I’m trying to justify my outburst at the cliffhanger.
