HELLO AGAIN EVERYONE!

Thank you for your unwavering support for the Shanghai Azures Underwater Hockey Club. This year, we are pleased to celebrate the success at the Asian Underwater Hockey Championship hosted Beijing just over in September 2017 - BIG CONGRATS to the top Azures players who played with Team China to clinch third place in both the Elite Men and Women categories.  

Upcoming next -- Azures as co-host-- will be the 2nd China Underwater Hockey Rookie Competition in Changchun, Jilin province early this December. As part of our ongoing efforts to inject new blood into the team, we are delighted to hold our 7th and last UWH Newbie Course for 2017, starting October 28.

The main coach this Newbie Course is... HUGH XU!

Hugh, also known as Xuperman, started playing underwater hockey in 2013, and is one of the elders of Shanghai Azures.

Hugh held the position of Azures club president in 2016 and vice chairman of the Chinese national committee in 2017. Over the years Hugh has played for the club in various tournaments, and was the first Chinese to represent China on an Asian regional level in 2013. Most recently at the 2017 Asian Underwater Hockey Championship, Hugh played in Team China which clinched third place. Hugh has a wealth of competitive and coaching experience, and is one of the top center forward in Azures. He holds Level 1 certifications as referee and coach, earned in Canada and Australia respectively.

2­017 AZURES UWH OCT NEWBIE COURSE SIGNUP

WHEN （3hrs x 4 sessions)?

Date - 10/28、11/4、11/11、11/18

Time - 0900AM-1200PM

Includes one free theory course, time and place will inform later based on training schedule.

Note: For newbies, one class replacement is allowed if unable to attend the one of the sessions due to personal reasons.

WHERE?

Shanghai Jing'an Sports Center (6th Floor, No. 151 Kangding Road, Jing'an District; Metro Line 2 West Nanjing Road Station）

HOW BIG THE CLASS?

12-15 persons (Turnout is limited,Confirm the based on payment successively)

HOW MUCH?

RMB1200（includes formal invoice）,  RM1000 deposit required for full gear rental if needed

★For hygiene purposes, we strongly encourage to bring your own mask+snorkel or purchase in class; other gears (fins, sticks, gloves, caps, mouthguards, mask+snorkel; full set deposit at RMB1000 ) can be loaned with a deposit★

另赠送一节理论课程，时间和地点根据教学进度另定。

注：考虑新人由于自身原因无法参加其中一节课时，可免费补课一次。

上课地点：上海静安体育中心（静安区康定路151号6楼，地铁2号南京西路站）

人  数：12-15人（人数有限，以付费时间先后为最终确认依据）

课 程 费：RMB 1200（含俱乐部正式发票）、如果需要全套装备租借押金：RMB 1000

★ 考虑卫生因素，极力鼓励新人带上自己的面镜及呼吸管，或者当场购买。其他装备（脚蹼、球棍、手套、球帽、护嘴、面镜+呼吸管；全套押金 RMB1000）新人可以向俱乐部付上定金免费租借★

Impressions of the underwater hockey demo at the dive expo.

The organizers of the dive expo put up a little pool, in which we could show our moves. At first, there were quite some spectators, until they learned that underwater hockey is a quite splashy game and even when you're not involved, it's hard to stay dry... Hope everyone enjoyed watching nevertheless! :-)
