Liu Kang: Beware Shang Tsung's honeyed words.
Reader: You've said we were destined for each other in all timelines.
Liu Kang: And your union always leads to your suffering.

Tumblr media
Johnny Cage
Johnny: Let me just say, there's no other place I would rather be, than right here with you right now.
Reader: I can change that very easily.
Johnny: Why so serious, sweet cheeks?
...
Reader: No, Johnny, I won't be playing in any of your movies, ever.
Johnny: Can I ask why?
Reader: Why I don't want the job that makes your brain explode?

Johnny: You might wanna reconsider your rendezvous with the Sorcerer.
Reader: Which one?
Johnny: Oh, you are a bad woman.
...
Reader: Don't be such a baby, it's just a scrap.
Johnny: And I need a hot nurse to patch it up.

Kung Lao
Reader: Do you think Liu Kang has destined us to become friends?
Kung Lao: Obviously, I'd never choose this for myself.
Reader: He could've made you less of twat...
...
Kung Lao: It's way too dangerous for you to travel Outworld alone.
Reader: I don't need a babysitter, Kung Lao.
Kung Lao: Prove it, then.
...
Reader: If you buy me dinner at Madame Bo's, I'll heal your arm.
Kung Lao: I see your time with Shang Tsung is rubbing off on you.
Reader: See, now I gotta hurt ya.
...
Kung Lao: How does it feel, being in the center of the Snake's attention.
Reader: Fuck you man, I didn't ask for this.
Kung Lao: Not good then.
...
Reader: Come on, I paid for dinner last time.
Kung Lao: I'll be happy to pay... Once you beat me.
Reader: You can be an ass sometimes, you know that?
...
Kung Lao: You know I only meant it as a joke, right?
Reader: Let me show you just how funny I think you are

Bi-Han: It will boil while I destroy you.
Reader: You'll freeze to death, then.

Bi-Han: Is it wrong to want more?
...
Reader: Maybe I can beat some sense into you…
Bi-Han: I will crush you, little girl.
Reader: Great, a quip about my height, so original.

Erron: You'd look mighty fine in it, I'd wager.
Reader: Don't you pull your punches on me now, Black.
...
Erron: There's quite the price on your head, sweetheart.
Reader: And you'll do everything to collect it, right?
Erron: I could be persuaded against it, with the right motivation...
...
Reader: Do you flirt with all your targets?
Erron: Only pretty little ones, like you, girlie.
Reader: Well then, let's dance, Cowboy.
...
Erron: I wouldn't mind giving you a ride around town, little lady.
Reader: I'd rather beat you where you stand.
Erron: Be still, my beating heart.
...
Reader: I know who sent you.
Erron: Someone who's eager to get their hands back on you.
Reader: You can both keep them to yourself.

Pov: You are a cat
how the mk1 characters react to you as a stray cat, one with an oddly familiar/fitting name
part 2, part 3, part 4, bonus
ft: Liu Kang, Shang Tsung, Raiden, Kung Lao
TW: none, fluffy cute stuff, gn, just a lil kitty, I love cats and thought why not
Liu Kang
Liu Kang's surprise was palpable as he entered his quarters and laid eyes on an unfamiliar feline that was playfully swatting at the stringy fabric of a cushion. A warm, gentle smile graced his features as he kneeled down to the cat's level, captivated by its playful antics.
"Hey there, little one. Are you lost?" he inquired with a soft, soothing tone. You, seemingly unperturbed by his presence, turned your attention to the glowing-eyed man before you. Your head tilted curiously, and a soft meow escaped from your mouth. Your ears flicked slightly as you observed Liu Kang in front of you, displaying an unexpected level of comfort around the fire god.
Liu Kang couldn't resist the urge to reach out and gently caress the cat's head. His hands, warm and comforting, ran through the soft, bicolored fur. The cat leaned into his pets, emitting a contented purr and rubbing against his leg. This heartwarming interaction brought a smile to Liu Kang's lips, and he decided to scoop the feline into his arms.
As he held the cat, his eyes caught a glint of metal reflecting in the ambient light, coming from a collar around the feline's neck. Liu Kang couldn't contain his curiosity and muttered to himself, "What's this?" With careful attention, he examined the collar, which bore a name engraved on it: 'Kitana.' His eyes widened slightly in recognition, and his smile grew even warmer. "A lovely name, Kitana," he said affectionately, holding the feline closer to his chest.
Shang Tsung
The unexpected presence of a random cat in his laboratory gave him quite the surprise. His curiosity was piqued, and he initially pondered what experiments he could conduct with this unexpected test subject. However, as he observed your lithe and efficient movements in keeping his lab free of rodents, his original intentions began to waver.
Approaching you slowly, he scooped you up under your arms and took a moment to examine you. A sly smirk formed on his face, revealing a dimple. You responded with a soft, unbothered meow as he regarded you. "Well, aren't you a surprise," he quipped.
“I suppose you could be of use,” he stated as he carried you over to his desk and gently placed you down. He ran his fingers through your sleek black fur, his demeanor softening. As you sat facing him, your tail curled comfortably around you. It was then that he noticed a small metal object dangling from the collar around your neck.
"Hmm, and what might this be?" he inquired smoothly, lifting the metal with his fingers to examine it closely. Engraved on the metal, he read the word 'Soul.' You trilled softly in response to his scrutiny, and he couldn't help but smile. "Soul, a fitting name, little rat killer," he said with a smirk as he continued to pet your head.
Raiden
Raiden, known for his affinity for animals, was delighted to see a small white cat bounding over to him, its tail held high in the shape of a question mark. While it wasn't uncommon to spot a cat here and there in the village, this one seemed to visit more frequently. He couldn't help but wonder if it had a home. Kneeling down as you approached, he greeted you with a warm smile, "Hello, little one." His hand moved to pat your head as you leaned into his touch, radiating happiness.
Your playful antics caught his attention as you fixated on a stray shoelace, crouching low and wiggling your body in preparation to pounce. The shoelace didn't stand a chance as you leaped at it, swatting it around with your paws and occasionally giving it a playful nip. Raiden couldn't help but chuckle at your enthusiasm, saying, "Well, aren't you a playful one."
Scooping you up gently, your upper half rested on his shoulder, and you playfully swatted at his hat. A soft jingling sound reached his ears, indicating a bell around your neck. Out of curiosity, he held you in front of him, noticing a small metal piece next to the bell. Upon closer inspection, he read the word 'Storm' engraved on the metal. "Storm, hm?" he mused, and you chirped in response while purring in his grasp. "A very fitting name, little storm," he commented with a smile, holding you close to his chest as you played with the collar of his shirt.
He decided that he wouldn't mind having some company on his tasks. Together, you walked through the village, forging a heartwarming bond.
Kung Lao
Kung Lao and his best friend Raiden were seated at a table in Madam Bo's tea house, savoring the delicious dishes spread before them. Kung Lao dug into his food with enthusiasm, while Raiden ate at a slower, more composed pace. Suddenly, he felt a peculiar sensation on his leg, originating from beneath the table. Pausing mid-bite, he scooted back in his seat and peered down to discover a small ginger tabby, rubbing affectionately against his leg, a soft purr resonating from its chest.
His confusion transformed into a warm smile, revealing his signature dimples. "Where'd you come from, little fella?" he wondered aloud. In response, you let out a rather loud meow and leaped into his lap. "Woah, hello there," Kung Lao chuckled, his hand moving to gently stroke your head. His gaze then shifted to the chicken leg in his hand. Breaking off a small piece, he extended it toward you, "Hungry?" Without hesitation, you snatched the treat from his hand, devouring it with the same enthusiasm he displayed for his own meals. After finishing, you gave your mouth a satisfied lick, and Kung Lao couldn't help but laugh. "Guess that answers my question," he remarked, continuing to pet your head.
You responded with more meows, trills, and chirps, “well aren’t you a talker.” Kung Lao's finger then caught on the collar around your neck, prompting his curiosity. Upon closer examination, he spotted a small name tag at the front, reading 'Shaolin.' His eyes widened in surprise. "Shaolin? What a coincidence, I'm a Shaolin Master myself," he proudly declared, feeling a strong connection with his new feline friend. Once again, you chirped in response and nuzzled into his chest for warmth. Kung Lao couldn't contain his affection and wrapped his arms around your small form. "Adorable, a little Shaolin," he said with a heartwarming smile, holding you close to his chest as he continued his meal.

A/N: a short(er) chapter yayyy
Tumblr media
“What the FUCK!!?” Johnny screamed, his voice echoing around the surrounding hills. He had to take a step back because Jesus Christ… this was the most gruesome thing he had ever seen.
You pushed yourself up off of the ground, taking on a feral fighting stance as you turned to face your terrified companions. What was once a beautiful, human woman was now a Tarkatan beast. When you pricked your finger on that spike in Shang Tsung’s laboratory, it must’ve been laced with that Tarkat infection. Your overheated temperature, your foggy mind, your sudden onslaught of bizarre hunger, all of it was the Tarkat in your system taking hold.
You were growling at them now, baring your large and jagged teeth. Your mind was completely overtaken by the virus running through your body. You didn’t see Johnny and Geras as your partners anymore - no, you now saw them as food.
“Holy-“ Johnny tried to speak but was cut off. A loud, threatening growl from your infected self was enough to make him back up by multiple feet. His eyes were fixed on you. His mind was still trying to comprehend what was currently in front of him, that being… well… you.
You turned to him, taking your time in looking him up and down, eyeing your meal.
“Your blood, I smell ittttt…” You snarled, rolling your head and opening your split, mutated jaw momentarily. “How sweet it will be to lick off my fingerssss…”
This was not the same you that Johnny knew. This wasn’t the same smart, strong-willed woman who argued with him, or went against his words. This was a mindless beast that only desired one thing: his flesh.
“Oh God, oh God, oh God…” He continued backing away, not daring to take his eyes off of you for a second. This has to be a dream, right? It has to be…
Even the horses at the front of the carriage were freaking out, they were visibly stirring in their spot at the sight before them. Geras, however, was still thinking critically. He refused to let his fear overwhelm him. He knew what to do, how to proceed.
“Keep her occupied.” He turned to Johnny, deadly serious. “I know what to do.”
The last thing he expected to hear was that. “Keep her occupied”? How the hell was that going to be possible? But, as terrified and confused as he was, Johnny was trying his best to keep his cool.
“Yeah…yeah, I’ll keep her busy.” He hesitantly nodded, his voice shaky.
With that, Geras quickly walked away, sprinting for behind the carriage, teleporting away in a stream of golden light. He was going back to Sun Do, back to the Palace, to find a cure for the virus in your veins.
Johnny was now left all alone with a Tarkat-crazed you, as scary as it sounded. Taking a page out of Geras’ book, he swallowed his fear and bravely took on a fighting stance, just in case you lunged at him.
And lunge at him you did.
You took out your bō staff, equipping it with a grunt as you rushed to your terrified partner, green streaks flying through the air. Your bō produced a dreadful swinging sound as you aimed for the crown of Johnny’s head, just barely missing.
You were one of Liu Kang’s best assassins. There were a multitude of reasons why he was so fond of you. Your bōjutsu prowess was extraordinary; the Fire God had come across very few people in his long lifespan that exceeded your talents in martial arts. Even with the crazed state that you were currently in, you were still quick, fast and very strong.
For Johnny to see a version of you that still possessed your kombat, but with the strength and ferocity of a Tarkatan, it was frightening, there was no other word for it. He still couldn’t wrap his mind around the fact that the monster attacking him was, in fact, you.
Unlike your human self, Tarkatan you fought like a wild animal. You were wildly swinging your staff at your partner, who was just barely able to dodge your incoming attacks. Your bō was coming at him at insane speeds, one end of it slammed into the side of the carriage at one point, the loud clang that emanated from the contact made Johnny literally yelp out in fear. None of the grace or elegance that you always carried was present, the brutality of your bōjustu was in overdrive. Your sole intention was to chop your next meal up into pieces.
He had just dodged one of your swings when an opening presented itself. Instead of counterattacking, he opted to grab your right hand and disarm you. Johnny forcefully loosened your grip on your staff, the weapon dropping to the ground with a slight clang. Not missing a beat, he spun you around and pinned you to the carriage, slamming your body into the wooden wall.
“God…damn it…” He huffed, holding you firmly in place.
“Let… go of me!” You spat out, attempting to crane your head to get a better view of your subduer. You might have been crazed by Tarkat, but he was still larger and physically stronger than you. His grip on your body was iron, your writhing against the vehicle was doing little to waver it.
“Not a chance in hell.” He retorted, strengthing his hold on you as your growls grew more and more animalistic and aggressive. Johnny’s other hand planted itself on your upper back, pushing you further into the carriage side, for both of your safeties.
The thing about this particular variant of Tarkat… is that as the infected grew more enraged, their strength saw an increase. This was something that Shang Tsung didn’t mention in his journal, he likely didn’t even know about this.
Johnny was finding it increasingly harder to keep you pinned to the carriage. You were shifting around more and more, his grip on you was faltering by the second. At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before you broke out of his hold entirely.
Looking down, you saw that his foot was close. Taking the opportunity, you brought the heel of your boot down as hard as you could, right in the dead centre of his shoe.
“OW! FUCK!!“ His scream echoed throughout the surrounding scenery, causing the horses to neigh in surprise. The pain now shooting through his veins was too much to ignore, he instinctively held onto his right foot with both hands, hopping up and down in an attempt to mute it.
Ah shit, you were free.
You spun around, your eyes wide and your mind clouded by a thick mist of rage. You took advantage of Johnny’s incapacitation, balling up your fist and punching him square in the nose. His head jerked backwards, a pained yell seeped out through clenched teeth as he tried desperately to stop himself from toppling over. Blood splatters flew in all directions as your knuckles collided with his face, a sickening crunch being produced from the contact.
A fight ensued.
You didn’t even bother to pick up your bō staff that was lying on the ground, you were so crazed that you fought Johnny with nothing but your bare hands. You were wildly clawing at him, managing to scratch his face and draw even more blood a few times. Johnny couldn’t do much but dodge, block and weave your frantic attacks, he didn’t want to fight back and hurt you further.
At one point, you had him by the shoulders as you went for his jugular. Your large mouth opened wide to reveal rows upon rows of jagged, sharp teeth, all screaming for a bite of him. You nearly made contact before he quickly and violently shoved you away, knocking you backwards and sending you crashing into the carriage once again. He looked around for anything that he could use to defend himself against you as he was catching his breath. His eyes practically lit up as they fell on your bō resting in the grass a few feet away, he wasted no time as he scrambled to pick it up.
Johnny was trained in various forms of martial arts, but bōjutsu was not one of them. All he could do was swing the green staff in your vicinity, putting some distance between you and mentally cursing himself for not paying more attention to yourself when you were using it. Damn it, he could’ve actually picked up on something if he paid attention to anyone but himself.
His attempts at fending you off proved futile. You were a master at using the weapon, he was not. Eventually, you kicked your staff out of his hands, your foot hitting the bō with such force that it was knocked clean out of Johnny’s grasp. In one swift kombo, you knocked him down to the ground, picking up your staff again as you moved to stand over him.
“Jade… listen to me… please…” His desperate voice was barely above a whisper, all the wind had been knocked out of his lungs. He was on his back, staring up at you with widened eyes as the paralysing fear of being impaled like a chunk of street meat took hold of him.
You were in no mood to listen. You were ready to strike like a snake as you stared down at him between your legs, snarling ferociously. Primal rage burned in your eyes, your Tarkatan mouth was on full display. Your food had attacked you, what was it thinking? He must die for laying his hands on you like this.
This was it. This was how he was going to go out. His eyes clamped shut, a tear made its way down the side of his face as you raised your staff, intending to deliver a fatal blow. The brace for impact was horrible, but he accepted his fate nonetheless.
It was a surprise when your momentum stopped. Instead of growling, Johnny could hear… struggling? He opened his eyes to see what was happening and smiled. Such an intense wave of relief washed over his being at the sight before him that he couldn’t help but start laughing.
There, holding you in place, was Geras.
“Damn… good timing, old man...” He muttered as he hesitantly sat up, his chest still aching from your impact. A pained but wide smile wove its way onto his cut face, watching as you were being held in a bear hug.
You were no match for Geras. Your strength may be enhanced, but the construct was well over double your size. He even had some height on Johnny, towering over you both every time he was near. He barely even struggled as he contained you, much to your dismay.
He had his arm wrapped around your body, holding you tightly as you writhed and thrashed in his grasp. Using his other arm, he brought up a syringe to your neck and injected you with something. Whatever it was, it affected your crazed self instantaneously. As soon as the needle left your skin, you started to calm, squirming less and less in Geras’s grasp as you fell unconscious. Your limp body was slowly lowered to the ground, your rampage finally coming to an end.
Your nasty Tarkatan features started to dull and disappear. Your sharpened claws fell off, giving way to a set of new, normal fingernails. Your large mouth full of jagged teeth shrunk, your jaw morphing back into your regular face. Your lips came back as the flesh around your mouth returned, all back to normal. The serum he had injected you with was a cure, one that Princess Mileena uses regularly to dull her own respective symptoms.
It was almost as if Johnny was seeing a magic trick in real time, the whole transformation was shocking to watch. One moment, you were a crazed, ravenous animal, and the next… you were you again, the same one as before.
He stood up and walked towards Geras slowly, taking a place right beside him.
“Is she… gonna be alright?” Johnny hesitantly asked, looking down at your unconscious self in wonder.
“She will be fine. The serum that I have injected her with counteracts the Tarkat in her system.” He answered, his grip on the empty vial loosening as the adrenaline within him dissipated.
Geras walked over to the carriage, soothing the horses before opening the door of the vehicle.
“It is in our best interests to get her back to Sun Do as soon as possible, back to Liu Kang.”
Johnny nodded, acknowledging the seriousness of the situation. He turned his attention back to you, unconsciously resting on your back. You looked so peaceful, so normal, with your eyes closed and your chest slowly rising and falling with every breath.
He knelt down, gently picking you up in his arms, bridal style. He cradled you against his chest as he walked over to the carriage, trying his best to ignore the small voice in his head whispering: “So light and beautiful...”
Entering the carriage slowly, he gently laid your body down on the seat across from him, careful not to bump you on anything. It was unclear how long you would be unconscious for, his best bet was to just silently watch over you and hope that you would be okay.
As the carriage took off, Johnny took the opportunity to breathe and let go of the tension he was holding on to. He crashed down in his seat, loudly sighing as his exhausted body slumped against the cushions.
He sat motionless, save for his chest rising and falling with each haggard breath. His eyes were focused on the still unconscious you, his gaze roving across your still face. Seeing you switch from your cold, dignified self to a feral beast was still something that he was comprehending. All of your overwhelming rage and ferocity really shook him, that Baraka-like jaw on you was something that he would definitely be having nightmares about. This calm, docile version before him was no doubt your superior version.
His face hurt like hell, the adrenaline muting the burn of his injuries was starting to wear off. You thankfully didn’t punch him hard enough to fracture his nose, but the pain was still searing. The scratches on his face stung, the deep red marks on his cheeks were starting to make their presence known. He made a mental note to get those wounds checked out when he arrived back in Sun Do. He opened his phone, selecting the camera icon on his screen to fully inspect the damage. Johnny winced as he slowly turned his head to the side, his fingers lightly grazing over his facial wounds, careful not to cause further damage.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
By now, an hour had passed since your little… incident.
The carriage was well on its way to Sun Do, now moving at an increased pace. Geras wished to get you back to Liu Kang as soon as possible, the once slow-moving carriage was now moving noticeably faster.
Johnny had now taken the majority of his attention off of your unconscious form. There wasn’t much he could do with you like this, completely out cold and unresponsive. He was leaned back in his seat, his focus diverted to his phone, occasionally taking his eyes off the screen to peek at your resting self, just to make sure you were alright.
It was during one of these glances that his eyes began to wander down from your face. They slowly trailed along your form, his brain seemingly studying your body. He really did hope that you would be alright. But also…
You were wearing a fairly standard uniform, just like him. It was tight fitting, your breastplate outlining your figure very clearly. He made no effort to stop his gaze from roving over your body, his eyes stopping right on the curve of your-
No! He couldn’t be checking you out right now. You were his partner, for the Gods sake! You’d just come into contact with an incredibly deadly infection, this wasn’t the time to be staring at your… features!
Johnny tried desperately to push his filthy thoughts out of his head, but it would be a lie to say that he didn’t find his eyes and mind wandering every few minutes.
He had just concluded a routine eyeing of you, going right back to his phone. Though, from his peripheral vision, he could see you start to stir. Quickly, he shut his device off and dropped it down beside him, your well-being of much more concern than Instagram. He leaned forward, his arms coming to rest on his knees, his eyes trained on you.
You spent a few moments like this, murmuring and mumbling nonsense as you shuffled around. Then, your eyes slowly opened, now back to their normal colour and shape.
You were awake.
“Where… am… I?” A low groan escaped your lips. Your body ached like you’d just been in a brutal beatdown. Your head was a raging storm and your jaw was throbbing like crazy. It felt like it had just been ripped open or something.
You pushed yourself up, slipping a little as you did so. You weren’t at 100% strength yet, your movements were slow and uncertain. Your vision started to clear, a concerned Johnny coming into focus.
"You're in the carriage. We're headed back to Sun Do." Johnny answered your question, his voice uncharacteristically gentle. He gently helped you up, his hands planted on your upper arms, carefully guiding your movements.
“Johnny…?” Your mind was clearing, but you were still extremely disoriented. From your perspective, the last thing you remembered was you and him heading back to the carriage, the former feeling very unwell. Then it all went black. And now…
“…What happened?”
Looking at you, a mix of emotions welled up inside of Johnny. Concern and worry were the main ones, but he couldn’t deny that he also felt… relief. He couldn't help but feel relieved to hear the sweet and silky tone of your voice, paired with your normal appearance. You finally looked like yourself again.
"You don’t remember anything?" He asked, his tone still gentle. He didn't want to overwhelm you with everything that had transpired in your “absence”, not when you were like this.
The last vestiges of your blurry vision cleared away. Your eyes settling on a busted, scratched-up Johnny really wasn’t a welcome surprise.
“By the Gods, your face!” You recoiled back, a hand clasped over your mouth. Your loud voice of concern echoed around the small confines of the carriage, the bloody state of your partner fully snapping you out of your drowsiness.
“Yeah, you really did a number on me, didn’t you?" He chuckled at your reaction, amused (and maybe a tiny bit flattered) by the worried look on your face. As if he’d let you know that, though.
Now you were confused, as well as both hyper-alert and slightly in pain. A nasty combo. But that wasn’t the point of your focus at the moment. Did… did you do this?
“I… did this? To you?”
“Yeah… uh…” He sighed, his hand coming to rub sheepishly at the back of his head. This was going to be hard, but there was no other way to do this. “You, uh… turned into a Tarkatan… as crazy as it sounds-”
“I what?! You were shouting now, in total disbelief. Johnny winced at the panic in your voice, recoiling slightly, though you were too in shock to notice.
You looked down at your suit, and your throbbing right hand. Both were stained with blood. Blood that wasn’t there the last time you checked. Your knuckles were aching like you had hit something, or someone…
And that’s when everything started to come back to you. The secret lab, the dead Tarkatan in that cage, Shang Tsung and his notebook, that prick on your finger, your fever, your weird behaviour…
By the Elder Gods.
“Hey, hey, hey, hey, chill out! Chill out…” He tried to calm you down, his hands coming to rest on your knees, his thumb caressing the material underneath. "It’s okay, you’re okay now."
Your eyes remained lowered for a few moments, your breathing heavy. The past hour was still something you were attempting to process. The realisation that you did indeed attack Johnny, and presumably Geras, sank in. It made you feel so incredibly guilty. You couldn’t help it, those injuries on his face looked so painful. The injuries that you caused.
“…I am truly sorry for attacking you.” You finally spoke up, looking up to lock eyes with him. Your usually cold eyes were now warm with guilt, shining with remorse.
He shook his head gently. "Hey, that wasn’t your fault. That bastard Shang Tsung infected you. You weren’t in control of yourself, you can’t blame yourself for something you didn’t even do."
“No, this was my fault. I didn’t take the proper safety measures to ensure that nothing from that underground facility was transferred to me. Whatever happened was a result of my carelessness.”
As well as regret, a wave of embarrassment washed over you. How could you be so careless like that? Of course that prick was going to mean something. Johnny’s going to think that you’re totally incompetent now, and when Geras tells Liu Kang all about what happened he’ll most likely kick you out of the Wu Shi, then you’ll be homeless again and-
The overwhelming amount of paranoid thoughts started to prove too much. Your jaw clenched as you brought up a hand to your eye, an effort to fight back the tears behind your closed lids.
“Jade, hey, hey…” Johnny placed a hand on your leg, trying to keep you grounded. His voice was soft, he couldn’t bear seeing you like this. “It wasn’t your fault, okay? It could have happened to anyone."
You took a shaky breath in and a precarious breath out. Whatever you were about to do, it was NOT cry in front of Johnny. You did what you’ve always done after taking a moment to compose yourself: push your emotions back down.
You once again met Johnny’s gaze. Your eyes were slightly wet with tears - for some reason, you were expecting him to be judgemental of you and your fuck-up. But no, instead, you were met with a look of compassion. Despite all that you had done, he was still making the effort to console you. It was heartwarming.
“…Thank you for your words.”
"You don’t have to thank me. I just don’t like seeing you blame yourself for something that you have no control over." He smiled at you, his soft and caring gaze locked on your face as he leaned back.
For the first time in like, ever, you returned his smile with a warmer one of your own. You were genuinely smiling at him. Being comforted by Johnny Cage was not something you thought was going to happen today. And yet… it did.
The sight of your smile nearly made Johnny’s heart explode, his own smile widening in turn.
“You’re alright, Houzuki.”
The small smile on your face widened. You had to look down a little, to hide the sheepish smirk daring to form. You hated it, this weird effect he had over you. You despised the way your cheeks reddened at his praise, how that warm feeling would sliver through your belly when you looked at his carved features for a little too long. It was all so… ugh.
“Thank you, Cage.” You looked back up, meeting his gaze once more.
He cleared his throat, smirking a little. "You know... you're more bearable when you're smiling. You should do it more often."
“The ‘you should smile more’ line doesn’t have the effect that you think it does.” You scoffed, leaning back in your seat.
“Oh, is that so? Then what about, ‘You look way better when you don’t have that stick stuck up your ass’?"
The smile on your face grew into a laugh, the sound making his skin prickle.
“You’re a prick, you know that?”
"Hey, it got you to laugh, didn't it?" He laughed again, the warm feeling in his chest growing a little more intense.
Fuck, Johnny’s charm was actually starting to work on you. The way he was so casually leaning back, hair messy and elbow resting on his propped-up knee, it all had unwanted demons stirring deep within your core. Damn him and his stupid picturesque features!
Though, as you were looking at Johnny, you did start to take note of his facial injuries. All the blood on the space between his nose and upper lip was dried by this point; there was so much that it was a wonder how his nose wasn’t broken. And all those deep scratches… Gods, they looked so sore.
The smile on your face slowly turned into a frown, your guilt from a few minutes ago making its return. It was… terrible to see him like this. You felt really bad. Despite being an assassin, the sight of all that dried blood under his nose actually made you feel a little sick. It wasn’t right, no matter how much of a nuisance he was.
In turn, Johnny rolled his eyes and groaned, knowing full well what was on your mind.
"It's all right, darlin’. Don't worry about this." He wiped his nose with the back of his hand, a failed attempt to clean the dried blood off of his face.
“That doesn’t matter…” You mumbled, lowering your head out of guilt. “...I’m sorry.”
"I told you. It's fine. No need to apologise." He retorted, now a little incensed.
Your self-wallowing came to a halt when you felt a light squeeze on your hand. You looked up to see Johnny leaning forward, his large hand covering yours. The sympathetic look in his eyes was hard to ignore, there was something about it that had your remorse melt away.
"Stop beating yourself up, Jade. It wasn’t your fault." He gently squeezed your hand, the callouses on his palm rough against your skin.
You once again smiled at his reassurance, and the weight on your shoulders eased. You couldn’t remember the last time someone was this kind to you. It was nice, no matter who it came from.
The seeds of your crush on Johnny Cage were now sown.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
Hours had passed, it was the peak of night. The evening had come and gone; Outworld was now shrouded in darkness.
The carriage had reached Sun Do, a result of its quickened speed. The city’s streets were empty, not a soul was in sight. However, unlike Kakariko Village, all of the residents were here and well, they were just still sleeping soundly in their homes. Geras slowed the horses upon entry of the city’s gates; he was quietly steering the vehicle along the cobblestone roads.
In the distance, the soft clip-clop of horse hooves broke through the lunar silence, growing louder as the carriage emerged from behind buildings. The vehicle was parked right outside of Liu Kang’s estate, Geras hopping down from the front seat and tending to the animals before making his way over to the carriage interior.
Inside, Johnny was fast asleep. The pain of his facial injuries were temporarily dulled whilst he was unconscious, deep in a dreamless sleep. Light snores came from him as his chest rose and fell with each breath. You, however, were wide awake. You couldn’t sleep, you weren’t even the slightest bit tired. Whether it was the medicine in your veins, or the fact that you were still processing the day you had, wasn’t known to you. You were sat up, your attention on the dark world outside.
You grew bored of looking at Sun Do’s empty streets, as well as being tormented by your own thoughts. Without thinking, you turned to the side, towards a sleeping Johnny.
He looked so peaceful when he was resting, it was hard not to be captivated by the view. The carriage’s pink lights once again highlighted his gorgeous features, but they also illuminated his injuries. You couldn’t help but feel a sliver of guilt again when you focused on his scratched face. This wasn’t your fault, and you understood that, but… maybe you could’ve been more careful in that lab.
Your thoughts were suddenly interrupted by the carriage stopping. Not long after, you were met with the sight of Geras opening the door, his glowing blue eyes cutting through the darkness. The two of you locked eyes for a few seconds, not a word exchanged. He looked down to a sleeping Johnny, then back at an awake you. The construct waited for you to gather your bearings back before speaking up.
“Jade. It is good to see that you are well. We have arrived back in Sun Do; we are outside Liu Kang’s manor.”
You nodded, turning to face Johnny as you stood up. You leaned over his sleeping body, lightly shaking him, not wanting to be too rough with his unconscious form.
“Johnny… wake up…” Your voice was a whisper above his ear. The feeling of his hard bicep under your palms made that warm feeling sprout in your stomach again, but you ignored that for now.
“Hm...?” He opened his eyes, his voice groggy and thick with fatigue. You leaned back as he slowly sat up, examining his surroundings before looking back at you.
“We’re back in Sun Do.” Your voice was soft, but firm. The sleepy look on his face was really cute, it had you biting back a smile. “We’re outside Liu Kang’s estate.”
“Sweet…” He mumbled, rubbing his eyes.
Geras saw that you both were on the move and stood to the side to let you two out. You grabbed Shang Tsung’s notebook beside your hip and quietly exited the vehicle, shivering a little at the cold night.
In contrast, Johnny lazily and recklessly stumbled out of the carriage. He loudly yawned and dramatically stretched his limbs once he was standing. He would never get used to sleeping in that damn carriage.
After you finished your silent judgment of your companion’s behaviour, you turned to face Geras.
“Geras, I would like to apologise for what happened, back at the village. I am sorry if I happened to attack you.” Your voice was sincere, your tone remorseful.
He listened to your apology, not saying a word. His expressionless eyes pierced through you, making you feel a little uneasy. He didn’t say anything for a few seconds, just staring at you blankly. Eventually, Geras gave you a small nod.
“Rest assured, Jade. I know that you were not in control of yourself. You were under the control of Tarkat; you do not need to apologise. None of your actions were done by you of your own free will.”
You smiled at his words, a wave of relief washing over you. After a few moments, Geras spoke up. He pulled something from behind his back, handing the item to you.
“Here is your bō staff. You dropped it during your frenzy. I have kept it safe for you throughout our journey.”
A small noise of surprise came from you. You were wondering where that thing went!
“Thank you.” You graciously took the compacted staff from his hands, strapping it to your hip.
Geras nodded at you again, and then both you and him turned your attentions towards Johnny.
He was leaning against the carriage, his arms crossed to his chest. He looked bored, to say the least. He didn’t bother to listen to what you two were conversing about, none of your words centred around him so why should he care? He yawned as he glanced to the side impatiently, his eyes wandering around the empty city.
“Now, the both of you must see Liu Kang immediately. Tell him of what has happened, of your findings. And then, you two must seek urgent medical attention.” He told you.
“Of course.” You nodded. You turned around to face Johnny, gesturing for him to follow you as you walked through the gates, towards the entrance of the manor.
You strolled up to the front door, the sound of your boots heels against the cobblestone clicking through the quiet of the night. He was right behind you, trying to keep his eyes forward and not on your... lower half. The effort to keep his gaze up was really harder than it should be.
Not that you noticed. You leaned forward a little and rapped your knuckles on the door, the sound slightly echoing around the front porch and the interior of the large building.
A few moments of silence passed by. The only audible thing was the occasional breeze. Then, the sounds of footsteps were heard inside the manor. The door creaked open, although it wasn’t Liu Kang. One of his servants was on the other side, greeting you both with a bright smile.
✧・゚: *✧・゚:*
“…And he had constructed this laboratory underneath the village library.” You explained, brushing a stray strand of hair away from your face.
Both you and Johnny had long since made your way inside, you two were now debriefing Liu Kang of all that had been found during your time away, as well as you both receiving the medical attention that you needed.
A few more doses of Mileena’s suppressant were estimated to permanently eradicate the infection from your system, the nurse predicted. An injection every day for the remainder of the week should clear up any lingering traces of the virus, thank the Gods.
Johnny, meanwhile, was receiving dressing for his scratches. The cold ointment against the open wounds made him wince a little on contact, the substance stinging against his skin, making him grip the sofa arm. It was nothing major, according to the nurse. Only a few flesh wounds, nothing that would harbour anything long-lasting.
Despite the late hour, Liu Kang was more than happy to see you two, and hear about all that the two found during their time away. He was listening intently as you both gave your own reports. His face was stern, his features giving no indication as to what he was thinking.
“It was… filthy. Completely covered with viscera and grime. This laboratory was where he was conducting his twisted experiments.” You carried on, shifting in your seat as your mind unwillingly replayed the day’s memories.
“And you say he was conducting experiments on villagers with this Tarkat infection?” Liu Kang queried, to which you nodded at.
“Shang Tsung was using the villagers as live test subjects, unconsenting guinea pigs for his vile work.”
His expression was as serious as ever, his eyes held a certain intensity as they scanned over you and Johnny. He let out a frustrated sigh, leaning back in his chair as he rubbed at his forehead with two fingers.
“Geras told me of how this… infection took hold of you. Is this true?” He was careful with his words, his tone incensed. “Yes… it is.” You looked down for a minute, ashamed once again as you fiddled with your fingers. It was horrible to know that you were mutated into little more than a wild beast. Your skin crawled as you thought of all the damage that you could’ve potentially inflicted.
Liu Kang’s face remained neutral, but eyes held a sliver of pity. He was looking at you two with an almost cold intensity, as if he was trying to make up his mind about something. He shifted his gaze to Johnny, the fire god’s gaze hardening as he looked at him.
“And you.” Johnny’s spine visibly stiffened as Liu Kang addressed him. “Were you also infected?” Liu Kang’s tone was stern, his white eyes were staring Johnny down in his seat.
“Ah, no… no, I wasn’t infected, boss.” He meekly responded, his composure faltering under the crushing weight of Liu Kang’s intense stare, a stare that he couldn’t meet for more than a few seconds.
The way Liu Kang was glaring him down with such intensity even made you feel a little uncomfortable. It’s almost like he was mad or something, like he was silently chastising Johnny for not being by your side in the lab.
“Lord Liu Kang, my infection was in no way Johnny’s fault.” Your voice broke through the rather tense silence, much to Johnny’s surprise. “It was the result of my own carelessness; I apologise for not taking the proper safety measures when searching through that laboratory.”
You turned to Johnny and gave him a small smile.
It was mostly unnoticeable, but Liu Kang’s stern expression subsided when he saw you smile at Johnny like that. His eyebrows raised at the small sign of courtesy you showed. This was completely unexpected, for both of the men.
After a bit, you turned your attention away from Johnny and back towards Liu Kang. As you shifted in your seat, you felt Shang’s journal in your pocket, pushing up against your hip. Damn it, you’d forgotten to show Liu Kang one of the most important things you’d recovered.
“Oh! I also found this.” You took out the journal from your pocket and leaned forward, handing it to him.
Liu Kang’s eyebrows shot up once again at this. He took the book from you and opened it up. His eyes were glued to the ink staining the pages, his interest fully piqued by what was inside.
By the Elder Gods, it was much worse than he thought. His eyes widened upon each turn of a page, his brows furrowing at the onslaught of information. After a few minutes of reading, the book closed to reveal the astonishment all over his face. His white eyes were wide with shock, processing what was just before them. He sat in silence for a few minutes, before looking up to speak to you both.
“This is much worse than I thought. To know that Shang Tsung and General Shao are collaborating is extremely concerning.”
He ran a hand down his face, sighing deeply. Shang Tsung and General Shao’s alliance was not only unexpected, but a possible catastrophe. Liu Kang felt a cold sense of dread start to creep up on him, caused by the knowledge that the sorcerer and the disgraced general had joined forces. The two of them together were such a potent force to be reckoned with; the danger they posed to Outworld and the other realms was immense.
But all of that is for another time. Right now, it is important that you and Johnny rest. All of this can be dealt with once the sun is up.
Liu Kang stood up, pocketing the journal for further study. He turned to you both, a small smile on his face.
“Thank you for your work, both of you. I am pleased to see the two of you work well together.”
You smiled, beaming with pride. “I am in your service, Lord Liu Kang.”
“Yeah, you’re welcome or whatever.” Johnny was less graceful with his response, something that earned a judgemental side eye from you.
Liu Kang almost rolled his eyes, but considering you and him have been making progress, the fire god decided to let his usual snark slide… for now, at least.
“Now, please retire to your rooms. After the ordeal that the two of you have been through, some rest is in order.” He placed a fist and an open hand together, and did his typical bow. He then made his way over to the door of his study, opening it and gesturing for you both to exit.
The doors of his study shut quietly once you two had departed. Soon, you and Johnny were the only souls in the hallway.
Both of your respective chambers were in the same direction, meaning that you two were now walking side by side on their way to your rooms. The halls of Liu Kang’s manor were deserted, save for the occasional cleaner every now and then. Everyone was asleep, resting in their own quarters. Both of your footsteps echoed throughout the empty halls, cutting through the silence of the mansion.
“Hey, Jade.” Johnny suddenly spoke up, his voice shattering the silence.
You turned to face him, your pace slightly slowing.
“Yes, Johnny?”
“You did good, y’know? You were great back at that village.” He gave you a smile, his eyes dilating at how beautiful you looked in the hallway’s candlelight.
“Thank you.” His praise made you smile back, your face felt warm at his kind words.
He spoke again after a few moments. “What, not gonna say I did good too?”
You scoffed and shook your head. It’s almost like this man needed to have his ego stroked, like a fish needs to be in water. Admittedly, it was as amusing as it was annoying.
“Considering I both found the secret laboratory and the journal, I think I’ll refrain for now.”
“I’m wounded, Jade. Wounded. You don’t think I contributed at all?” Johnny feigned a look of exaggerated offence. He put a hand over his heart, a look of theatrical hurt crossing his face.
“Maybe on the next mission assigned to us, you’ll have a more significant role?”
“Next time, hm?” He was grinning, crossing his arms across his chest. It was nice, hearing you finally treat him like an equal, rather than some piece of trash.
“I think next time, you’ll be the useless one, and I’ll be saving both our asses.”
You scoffed again because, yeah, right! As if that would happen. So far, on your assigned excursions, you’ve been the MVP. You located that machine back at the pyramid AND you uncovered the true story of Kakariko Village’s depopulation. Johnny was just… there. Like the piece of eye candy he is.
You had no more time to think about that, though. Eventually, you two reached a corner of the manor. On the left side was the rest of the way to Johnny’s room. On the right side, the rest of the way to your room. This is where you both say goodnight.
“That’s your room?” He pointed down the hall to the right, to your door. You nodded in reply.
“Alright, then. See ya tomorrow, partner.” His eyes lit up as the words left him, like he had an idea. Slowly, he leaned in closer, his voice low and sultry.
“…Unless you wanna spend the night with me?”
Alright. Once again, Johnny had pushed his luck too far. His dumb comment wiped the tiny smile off of your face, like an eraser to a whiteboard.
“Goodnight, Cage.” You muttered as you turned away and walked off, headed for your room.
Johnny just laughed, the sound ringing in your ears. He called out to you one last time, his voice loud and obnoxious.
“Sweet dreams, dollface!”
You ignored him as you walked down the corridor, resisting the urge to raise your hand and flip him off. You’d hit your Johnny Cage limit for today, any more interaction with this man might just finish you off.
You closed your door behind you with a sigh; you were so grateful to be back in your room. You smiled as you set your sight on your bed. After everything that had happened in the past 24 hours, finally being able to rest felt amazing.
You kicked off your boots and discarded your suit in a corner somewhere. Showering was out of the question, you were too damn tired. You lazily slipped on a nightdress that you found in your wardrobe. The pain from Geras’s injection earlier still somewhat lingered, you winced every now and then as you changed. Oh well, nothing a good night’s sleep can’t fix.
You slipped under your covers and pretty much fell asleep in a few minutes. Your warm, soft bed felt a million times better than those firm carriage seats. A deep, dreamless sleep awaited you, greeting your mind as it slipped from reality.

MK1 Kast reaction to AOU! Scarlet Witch! Reader (Outworld Edition + Takeda Takahashi)
Tumblr media
SUMMARY: Outworld had a history of Chaos Magic disturbing their peace years ago, finding out you were a descendant of the magic brings concerns on the Royal House
WARNINGS?: I can think of any, maybe gore mentioning?
SINDEL
She finds you intriguing
She wonders if you are more powerful than you normally show (well she’ll never know, she gone)
“If you were raised here, you could’ve been Umgadi, that is you will live longer…and loyalty with no tricks”
She’s heard r of your magic and is cautious whether or not you’ll bring harm, to her family and kingdom (prolly snatch her weave too while you at it..)
Eventually she’ll be more wary of you than she is with Liu Kang about his “betrayal”
To her very last breath and strength, if you every turned against her and her family, she will deemed to kill you
MILEENA
She’s not much of a fan of you but can tolerate you than the other Earthrealmers, mainly Johnny and Raiden (she hates Raiden’s humbleness)
Much like Sindel, she won’t hesitate to try and kill you if you deemed to be bad news
In her Tarkat state, she will cut you faster if you are not careful
She is aware that your abilities are unpredictable therefore does not trust you if you can't handle them
She definitely didn’t trust you when Kung Lao, Kenshi, Johnny and you walked in on her treatment with the Tarkat serum, but was concerned of you when she heard you were kidnapped by Shang Tsung after being captured at his laboratory
She apologized for nearly killing you and blinding Kenshi, but you told her thing was a learning experience for the future
She was hoping to contact you to help her find her father/Ermac
KITANA
She will think you of as inferior and dangerous but was dumbfounded to found you kind
Much like the other Edenians, she does not have full trust in you, with the fact that Chaos Magic flows through your veins bring her more questions on how your more different than your ancestors with the magic
She asks Johnny about you and was more surprised that he was new to this magic of yours
She does see promise and pride in you, but does not know how long it will last
After defeating Titan Shang Tsung, you two do grow close, and you eventually tease Raiden about it
She kind of questions your motivates on why becoming a warrior if your powers were too dangerous, you explained your powers were already becoming dangerous even without using them
She likes the flow and glimpse of them, the scarlet red moving and flowing like waves around her finger tips, she could get used to you
TANYA
PROTECTIVE ASF!!
Yes, that is her job, but girlie cool down!!!
Out the corner of your eye, you feel her deep glare…very, very deep…
She will low-key threaten you…
“If you ever think about stepping one foot out of line, I will make your death fast but painful, I know what you are…” (okay, kobeni..)
Not much for Tanya, but she’s just a straight up hater, watch for her
RAIN
Ngl, this man will TRY to bed you
He’s looking up and down…😏🤏
Okay, I’m joking… but he does find your magic at grace
Not like other Edenians, he does not fear or caution much of your magic, yes he knows all about it when he studies but he’s not scary of it
BUT on the other hand, during your capture from Shang Tsung, he does try to convince you to join him and the others to overthrow and rebel against Sindel and the Royal House, you choose not to.
Not wanting to gain any favors
He tries to win your trust by telling you he knows how much potential you have is nearly endless. But you didn’t want to hear it. Even with your accruing nightmares, thinking about the harm you could do, you choose not to go against your friends
Even after flooding Seido, Rain understood why you chose not to rebel against anyone but yourself, his decision which costed lives and Mileena’s wrath, he determined redemption
✨BOUNUS✨
TAKEDA TAKAHASHI
You’re weird… that’s it
As if not only finding out his cousin does telepathy and telekinetic manipulation, finding out someone else on his team can do it too is even more weirder
Brother thinks he’s high asf (shit probably..)
He did not disagree with Johnny when he said you and Kenshi should be together, but can also see why you choose not too, he knows you can beat his cousin and is way above his league
He notice that you don’t do too much combat, so he teaches you some moves he learned from the Shirai Ryu
Is actually happy that you have common sense when being in a typical situation
I DID IT!! I will continue this with the next one with Villains, the villains might have two parts since there’s a lot of villains, the DLC characters (not the actual MK characters) will have their separate list such as Homelander, Omni-Man, Peacemaker and Ghostface. I’ll make a part two for other DLC non-canon when they come out.
REQUEST ARE OPEN, FEEL FREE TO ASK ME ANYTHING
List of fandoms are on my main page. Here

Bi-Han's and Kuai Liang's father was not a good father
And now it's no longer a theory. Now I have proof.
The last thing I expected to get out of this very strange invasions mode season was confirmation for a theory I've had ever since I first finished the story mode. Despite other characters in the game claiming that the father of the Lin Kuei brothers was an honorable man, something about that never sat right with me, given how cruel that man was in all the previous timelines and how vastly different Bi-Han views his father compared to his brothers, Liu Kang or Sindel.
Tumblr media
I made this discovery on the mesa of Shang Tsung's laboratory.
At the very beginning of the mesa when you come in through the portal and head to the right (your character's right) towards the two crates that are next to each other, there's a node featuring a fight against Scorpion.
That node, loosely translated from my language, is called "Daddy's favorite".
It might seem like a small and meaningless detail and maybe I'm reading too much into it, but if the name of that node is anything to go by and if it's a reference to MK1's canon lore (which it has to be, otherwise I don't see why it would be there) this adds a whole new layer to the tragedy of the falling out between Bi-Han and Kuai Liang and Bi-Han's decision to let his father die.
Was he neglected? Despite being the oldest son and the grandmaster's heir, Kuai Liang was the favorite son. He was his father's pride and joy, not Bi-Han. That explains Bi-Han's bitterness and his resentment towards his father as well as his eagerness to earn the respect of others. Because his own father didn't give that to him.
Tumblr media
Sub-Zero: I helped you, but I've earned no respect. General Shao: Because there's nothing lower than a traitor.
Tumblr media
Johnny Cage: I thought I had daddy issues. But you? Sub-Zero: My family is none of your business.
Would a good father have a "favorite son"? Should a good father not love his sons equally, without picking favorites?
Another small but noteworthy detail is one of Bi-Han's invasions mode encounters being named "Joyless initiate" (again, loosely translated because my game is in my native language, not English). You have to wonder what kind of life Bi-Han lived for the game to refer to him that way and how much of that is owed to his father's strictness or lack of care towards him since he wasn't the favorite son. It certainly implies Bi-Han faced hardships that the main story never really talked about or even mentioned.
It might not seem like much, but I'm sure some thought was put into making these nodes and the references and hints exist for a reason.
I'm aware that a lot of people think the father of the Lin Kuei brothers was a good guy, but as a reminder, in the original timeline, Bi-Han's and Kuai Liang's father was ruthless enough to kidnap the brothers from their mother, potentially even killing her and their younger sister in the process, and turned them both into assassins for the Lin Kuei. Of course, the reboot is set in a new timeline, but as I said in my previous post, all characters are still essentialy the same. Some backstories and allignments have changed, but not the character's personalities and even in this new era, the old grandmaster is no saint.
I think it's messed up that his response to the Lin Kuei killing Smoke's entire family and turning him into an orphan was to take Tomáš in and turn him into a warrior for the very clan that murdered his family.
Sure, some might view it as a noble gesture that he took responsibility for the mistake he made and decided to give Tomáš a home after he was orphaned, but if that man cared at all about Smoke's wellbeing, he could have found a better solution for the situation. He could have told Liu Kang about what happened and asked him to let Tomáš stay at the Wu Shi academy instead of turning him into an asset for the clan that killed his mother and sister.
While that's only a side note, it proves that Bi-Han's and Kuai Liang's father had a twisted idea of what it means to be a good parent if he thought that taking in the son of a family his own warriors murdered was the "honorable" thing to do without sparing a second thought to what that was going to do to Smoke mentally.
Anyway, this subtle hint is one of the few good things to come out of this invasions mode season and I'm glad I found it.

I'm not sure if you write fluff but can you do cuddling headcannons with syzoth if that makes sense? just need more tooth rotting fluff in this spicy smut world 💔
-🦧
──★ ˙ ̟Cuddling headcanons with Syzoth/Reptile
Tumblr media
(I can’t he’s so gorgeous)
* He’s a big boy i imagine Syzoth to be relatively the same height as earthrealmer squad but he’s at least a lil bigger than you so you might need a bigger bed/surface to cuddle with him.
* Both of you tend to cuddle after stress-full days.
* He’ll use his invisibility to surprise hug you.
* If you’re cuddling on a bed make sure you don’t have plushies sometimes he has nightmares from the time he spent in Shang Tsung laboratory thus his instincts kick in and he tares up some pillows.
* Also sometimes acid tends to come out of his mouth by accident so be careful with that too.
* If you decide to cuddle him in his natural form he’ll wrap his tail around your leg.
* His favorite part about cuddling is letting you massage his hair and just run your finger trough it. He also let’s you trace his tattoo’s.
* Pic-nicks in the forest on a sunny day which end up in stargazing and late night talks YES YES YES.
* If you fall asleep and wake up before he does good luck getting out of his arms because he’s got a tight grip.
* If theres a fly or wasp that keeps flying around you he’ll eat it (it’s a bit gross but he deserves a snack).
* He makes sure to remove the spiky parts of his outfit as to not hurt you or damage anything.
*When he starts to shed his skin you end up cuddling more often as well as just helping get trough it.

I LOVED WRITING THIS i don’t know what it was but i really liked writing this peace of fluff. Hope you like it :3

Quan-Chi
Tumblr media
Quan-chi patronizing: It must enrage you that you couldn't have finished me.
Y/N hissing: If it weren't for Li Mei's jussstice, I would've had your ssspine by now!
/
Quan-chi disgusted: Why do you pine for a diseased cretin over Shang Tsung?
Y/N: Because that sssnake is below my standards, now.
/
Quan-Chi: You were Shang Tsung's wife, yet Lui Kang has gifted you a better life than either Shang and I!
Y/N: Everything I have earned in life, I have earned by my handssss and my hands alone.
/
Y/N coyly: I have to thank you for adding some spice to my meal.
Quan-Chi taken aback: That poison I slipped into your stew was enough to kill a full-grown taigore!
/
Y/N: Tch, what's good is relying heavily on your magic if a single gaze is enough to stop you in place?
Quan-chi smirks: It's fortunate then that I know how to avoid your gaze then.
/
Y/N narrows her eyes: It's bad enough that Shang Tsung knows The Island’s secrets!
Quan-Chi: Whether or not you do so willingly, I will learn witch.
/
Quan-chi: I hope your infatuation with Y/N won't put a wench in our partnership
Shang Tsung chuckles: Are we feeling a touch envious, Quan-chi?
Reiko
Tumblr media
Y/N: I remember bandaging the bloodied boy Shao took into camp.
Reiko: I am not that boy no longer, Healer! /
Y/N: You're fortunate it was Li Mei who apprehended you, otherwise there'd be nothing to throw in Lei Chin.
Reiko: *Barks out a laugh* HA! I just need to blind you to beat you!
/
Y/N: You are no warrior but a mindlesssss blood-hungry brute, I would know.
Reiko scoffs: As if a Healer would know anything about what a true warrior is.
/
Y/N smirking: It's a shame that I couldn't have kept you in the Hanging Gardens.
Reiko growling: Care to try so again, witch?!
/
Reiko: You have forgotten your oath to Outworld!
Y/N: How is not wanting to see the Empire fall to the disease that is war, breaking my Healer's oath?
/
Reiko: The lieutenants' illness... *growls* Have you no honor?!
Y/N darkly: Not towards traitorsss of the throne.
/
Reiko: It's a shame that we could not have recruited you to the cause.
Y/N with her snakes writhing in anger: *Hisses* As if I would align myself with the brutes that would encourage Sssshang Tsung's depravity!
Tanya
Tumblr media
Tanya: You have truly chosen better than that traitorous Sorcerer.
Y/N sighs in exasperation: I'll have to talk with Mileena about spreading rumors about my love life.
/
Tanya: You have a sister among the Umgadi?
Y/N rolls her eyes: I only know this since my mother would never ssshut up about it.
/
Tanya astonished: Shang Tsung did what to you?!
Y/N hisses at the memory: It's because I got too close to learning of hisss real laboratory.
/
Y/N: I hope you aren't the reason why Mileena missed her mandatory meditative practices today.
Tanya: I was told by her that you canceled them for the day!
/
Y/N: It is difficult, to love someone afflicted with Tarkat and watch them suffer.
Tanya: If Mileena and I can overcome these obstacles despite the risks, so can you and Baraka.
/
Y/N: I am happy to report that most of your Umgadi sisters will make a full recovery.
Tanya: It's still regrettable to lose any of my sisters, but I am happy to hear that.
/
Y/N: Did you really think I would betray the Throne?
Tanya: Honestly, there was so much deceit and conspiracies going around, I wasn't sure.
Ermac
Tumblr media
Ermac: Neither Jerrod nor Sindel hold you at fault for their deaths.
Y/N in surprise: I- Uh um... Thank you, Ermac.
/
Ermac: Can you aid us?
Y/N: I haven't learned the same magic as Quan-chi, but I has picked up a spell or two on Shang Tsung's island.
/
Ermac: We apologize, but the answer is still no.
Y/N angrily: You're the one who freed Quan-chi in the firssst place! The least you can do is return to the palace!
/
Y/N: Why not inform Mileena instead of freeing Quan-chi?!
Ermac: We were not sure she could have ensured our continued existence
/
Y/N: If you wish to reside in the Colony, then I'll need some assurance that you won't kill my patients.
Ermac: We understand, but you just have to trust our word.
/
Y/N narrowed her eyes in suspicion: I was told by Ashrah, you nearly killed Baraka and Syzoth.
Ermac: That is not Us anymore, Y/N.
/
Y/N: How is the Collection today, Ermac?
Ermac: Thanks to your remedies, We feel more... stable.
Nitara
Tumblr media
Nitara mockingly: Having seen your Titan self, I wonder what it says about you?
Y/N hisses: I am nothing like her!
/
Nitara: Your blood tastes like a Vaeterunian's!
Y/N angrily: Of course, Shang Tsung would think to make me monstrousss just to ssspite me!
/
Nitara: My blood magic is superior to your water magic.
Y/N: It'll do you no good once I have you choking on your own blood.
/
Y/N: Care for another demonstration on whose bite is deadlier?
Nitara: You have to actually catch me to bite me.
/
Y/N: Not till death will I ever stop fighting for my home!
Nitara: Why do you think I fight for Vaeterunus?!
/
Y/N: Even just hearing your voice sends disgussst down my spine
Nitara: The disgust is mutual even with your mask on.
/
Y/N snakes out and ready to bite: The fact that you aided that sssnake!
Nitara: A mistake and waste of time, I'll admit.
Peacemaker
Tumblr media
Peacemaker: So how do you and that Baraka guy bump uglies? Considering how you're both-
Y/N vexated and flustered: That is NONE of your concern!
/
Peacemaker: The bleeding is mostly internal which is where most of the blood is supposed to be anyway, right?
Y/N internally screaming: That is NOT at all how it worksss!!!
/
Peacemaker: What the FUCK happened to your face?!
Y/N: A sssnake named, Shang Tsung. That's what.
/
Y/N: While I might not always agree with her, I trust Li Mei's judgment.
Peacemaker: Yet, it would've been easier if she just killed those wizard fucks!
/
Y/N: Those herbs you gave me are pretty weak.
Peacemaker: How? I gave ya the best kush I got!
/
Y/N: I can heal much of the body, but an addled mind isn't one of them
Peacemaker: If you think I'M insane, you should see the crazies in Arkham!
/
Y/N: How in the 10 hells are you still breathing?!?
Peacemaker: I honestly have no fucking clue.

“You sent them on a mission without my knowledge or and experienced supervision” You hissed your eyes leering into Liu Kang's pale glowing one as he sighed gently looking upon your angered expression that leered holes into his powered body
“You underestimate them Y/n the group consists of strong warriors if they weren't prepared to be sent to accomplish this mission then I would have no desire send them but they were” The sensei tied to reassure you yet it wasn't visibly enough to ease your troubles
“I'm going to aid them by the sound of it the mission at hand should have not taken this long they should have been back days ago” You stated stepping to put your swords on your back your eyes flickering that glowing black that your rivals and enemies feared the last thing they’ve seen before they were put to rest finding peace elsewhere while the brunette said nothing to stop you deep down somewhere in his subconscious he knew that your concerns were valid
“Y/n!” The warrior called out as you opened a portal black fog spilling out of it your eye now completely black in response you looked over your shoulder not making a single move to step back or back down
“Be noble in your bloodshed, I would like to be able to step foot into the realm again”
“With all due respect Liu Kang they shall be lucky if their head stays intact with their bodies let alone if their realm is still liveable” Without another word you you stepped through the portal before you were across the tower of Shang Tsung laboratory you didn't have time to linger the probability of getting caught high if you stayed in one place too long
Stealthily you snuck passed the guards after throwing an empty elixir bottle at a wall the sound of the glass shattering causing them to rush to the scene allowing you to wipe pass the entrance without much fuss you let you instinct guide you to the brick wall closest to the forest of the building pressing your palms against the rough material as you mended yourself into the cold basement of the building
The sound of footsteps bounced of the walls and you sucked in a sharp breath trying to think of something quickly scanning the hallway with the speed of light until you found a solution bending your knees and locking your feet into the ground to give you a power boost before you jumped you fingertips clinging to the little basically nonexistent space to hang onto swinging your legs up to kick in the grilles as it clashed open downwards its dividers now sitting with a bend in their metal
You quickly slipped into the vent as the sound of rushed footsteps approached your location you legs slithering behind your torso before you stuck a hand out of your temporary hiding spot pulling the cover up back in its place you watched through the metal slots Shang Tsung looked around to find nothing you would laugh at the fact that he look up directly at your peering eyes if you were in the mood
You waited until the footsteps started up once more to start moving behind the perpetrator making sure that you made no sound or shuffling noise there was a slant downward inside the cool dark vents the same time the sound of a door unlocking was heard you were in the right place
Your heart dropped as you inched closer toward the laboratory like dungeon the muffled groans of Johnny and the even worse whimpers of Kenshi you fought the urge to burst out the ceiling swords up thoughts down
“This process I call it electric love, after your done with it you'll learn to love the chambers the most… they hurt the least” Shang Tsung voice rang out in the cold hollow basement like room the sound way carrying through the vent clear for your ears while you perked up at the source of light in the predominantly dark ceiling
“Make sure they're withered to nothing, they should be a easy session for the tarkata” This was it if you wanted a chance to capture the adversary it had to be quick and it had to be now you waited until the footsteps approached the exit gate before kicking through the grilles landing in front of Tsunes with a hand positioned to your side one knee to the floor the other directed up towards the air
“Siren, see you've come to join your peers” His voice littered with a dark chuckle and you stood to your full height starting bullets into sorcerer
“No but you shall join your brother in the under realm” The mans face dropped at the mention while Kenshi perked up at the sound of your voice having to rely on his hearing to get past without his ability to see
You charged towards him with a punch landing directly towards his jaw taking a blow not only at his mandible but at his vulnerability when you went to swipe your feet under the sorcerer he grabbed you leg tripping you up you head hitting the cold concrete floor with a sickening thud before you could get on your feet there was a rough impact on your shoulder as your head was forced to look at your lovers captured the electricity having ceased on their bodies you noted Kenshi's masked eyes making your eyebrows furrow and Johnny's protest as he shook the bars of his enclosure you were forced to the ground with a knee in your back
“Your lovers courage and loyalty is honorary yet the execution is pathetic” You you heavily breathed through your teeth your fist clenched against your side
“Tell me Siren, can a heart still break if it stops beating?” A man dressed in green armor approached your line of sight about to open the cage you red masked love slouched in the keys jingling in his slightly shaken hand
“Can your brain still pump blood if it's in my hands?” You muttered taking all your strength to propel your body up from under the sorcerer's hold your taking swords from your back the once silver blade wielding black before your fingertips you sliced the at the mans back him hissing in response
“I'll end your misery quick and precisely” You stated voice void of emotion before Shang ran at you while you blocked his attacks swiftly a black fog falling over the room making it difficult for him to maneuver his senses were overloaded he was at his full charge yet had nothing to force it on causing him to burn out your attacks came silently and stilly he was running himself dry exactly what you wanted him to
The voice of desire called out to him your silhouette shined through the gloomy dark fog your voice promised him everything he could conquer in the biggest dreams and most wealthy realms he followed the sound your form getting closer until he walked into the blade of your sword a grunt resetting on his lips as he kept walking pushing it further into him until his torso met with the base of black reflective piece yearning for the promise of his desires the source being the song that fell from your lips until he dropped to his knees unconscious
You didn't waste a lasting second running towards the cages Reptile unconscious from the poisoned smoke Johnny and Kenshi along with the reaming earth realm team was trained to withstand it become immune to a certain point you felt your body weakening but ignored its call to rest it had been days since they left since you had
“Oh Kenshi” You whisperer after taking the gate from its hinges off the swinging cage his body fell into yours as you gently lowered yourselves to the floor a more prominent black trail of smoke tracing to Johnny's enclosure wailing him free as he rushed towards you both you opening your arms making room for him to fit your eyes scanning over their bodies the Hollywood stars body you deemed fine apart from a couple battered bruises Kenshi on the other hand the red mask on his eyes made your heart pick up as your fingers inched towards his face rubbing your thumb against his cheek as he grunted holding back a whimper at the pain you gently pulled the red cloth from his eyes sucking in a sharp breath at she sight of his gouged eyes tears brought to your own as you pressed a shaky kiss to his forehead
“I'm here, I'm gonna find a way to heal you, I'll find a way”
“We’ll find a way” Johnny mumbled into your armor clothed shoulder as you rocked the three of you back and forth. It would work, you'd find a way.

Kung Lao explaining the horrors he saw in Shang Tsung’s laboratory: I never want to be in a cage again. He wanted me vivisected and to become one of his awful experiments
Raiden: if he touched you, I would hunt then kill him myself. And then I’d electrocute him with a million volts until he was beyond recognition

Unpunishable (Shang Tsung x F!Reader)
Tumblr media
a/n: no one asked for this, but hey, i've been in love with that soul stealing stink-man, i had to finally write something for him. this one is specifically MK1 story mode adjacent, but i do want to write more (for MK11 and the movie), Cross-Posted on AO3
Warnings: Dub-Con (kinda i guess), Captivity, playing fast and loose with the canon, Kinda Soft Shang?, Reader is a Blood Mage (nothing too serious tho)
Summary: After you and your friends raid Shang Tsung's laboratory, you get caught and kept captive by the Sorcerer himself.
Is it wrong to want more?
That was the thought plaguing you from the beginning of your training at the Wu-Shi temple. Blood magic was frowned upon in Outworld. For you to even cross the threshold of the realm, there had been some serious negotiations set in place. Still, the Fire God has managed to convince Empress Sindel of your assets as a healer.
And, you were a curious thing, after all. Humans were not born with magic in Earthrealm, it could only be bestowed by a God. Which is why your natural talent at commanding blood, both yours, and later someone else's, was a strange sight indeed. Strange enough to stir the interest of Outworld's nobility, granting you a safe passage to the tournament with your training companions.
Which is how you landed here. Between helping Raiden navigate the Tournament, through the secret mission on behalf of Liu Kang, and right up to now. As you sit, poised like a decorative doll, hands locked behind your back, intricate, golden cuffs digging into the skin of your wrists. There are piles upon piles of golden coins surrounding you, gold trickles down the walls in long smears of paint, golden dust stains your skin. A kink forms deep within your spine, from the uncomfortable position you have been put in.
And then, there's the deep, bleeding cut, stretching the expanse of your thigh. It was a stupid idea, tagging along for the mission to find Shang Tsung, and bring him to Liu Kang for questioning. You shouldn't have followed your friends into that one. Even more idiotic, was your short stand against Princess Mileena, as her Tarkat affliction took control of her. The fight, if you could even call it that, ended with you gaining a black eye and an awful, ugly cut, made by Princess's knives.
You shift in your position, trying to relieve some of the discomfort. Instead, the thick fabric of your pants slides on the wound, making you wince in pain. Flexing your fingers behind your back, you try to focus on the constant throbbing in your leg. If the traditional means of escape have been taken from you, perhaps a more finessed touch would be efficient.
Blood trickles on your skin, and every fiber of your being zeros in on the feeling. Sweat forms on your forehead, as you slowly force the stream to run upwards, towards your hip, and around your back. Your fingers flex into intricate positions, a thin line of your own blood reaches your wrist.
You have never tried this trick with your magic, all your life dedicating your gift to the art of healing. Dealing with the blood of other people, stopping, pushing, extracting, those were the things you were good at. Solidifying your own plasma, so it can cut through metal cuffs, was an entirely different topic.
But you have to escape. You have to. There's no telling what will happen to you, should you remain in this prison. Surrounded by gold and jewels, like some sort of perverted spoil of war. You valued yourself too much, to allow that. And, most importantly, your friends needed help. The intel you've gathered while being stuck in this wretched place wasn't much, but it was something, which in turn was enough to keep fighting.
Breathing becomes a hassle. You've already exerted far too much of your power, trying to extract from your bleeding thigh, and your hands shake behind your back, as you visualize particles sticking together, forming something solid, something that would free you of this prison. The liquid curling around your wrist shifts, an outer layer forming around it. All you've managed to achieve, is a sort of coagulated jelly, sticking to your skin.
"Your dedication to freedom in commandable." a familiar, male voice surrounds you, and you whip around, chain jingling at the sudden movement.
There he stands, in all his glory. Your captor.
Shang Tsung stalks towards you, his hands clasped behind his back as he leans down, hair flowing past his shoulders and obscuring the two of you from the world in a thick, black curtain. He smells rich. Sandalwood and jasmine, mixed with a nauseating undertone of blood and rot, no doubt, a leftover from his laboratory. It forces you to reel your head back, to try and escape it, but your efforts are quickly destroyed, as the sorcerer closes in further.
"Your skill, however…" his dark eyes fly around your face, taking in your distressed expression with a cruel smile "Well, let's just say there's some room for improvement."
Your eyebrows crease, as he flashes you a grin, before straightening up to his full height, allowing you a moment of relief from his overpowering presence. The bloody clot you've managed to form around your wrist falls to the floor as soon as you lose focus, and silently, you mourn the feeling of blood sinking between golden coins, never to be recovered again. You couldn't even if you tried, not with the Outworld's Snake right in front of you, circling your body like a hawk ready to strike.
Suddenly, he crouches down, right beside your abused leg, your breath catching in your lungs at the sudden change. The way he moved never seized to amaze you, as much as you hated to admit it. There was grace burned into his very being, every step a slithery dance. It terrified you, rightfully so, but underneath something new was brewing. A feeling, which you could easily dismiss during the rush of fighting, was no longer satisfied with staying dormant.
There was a strange pull between the two of you, like two magnets on the opposite sides of a table. Whenever your eyes met with the Sorcerer, you could feel something buried inside your soul start to wake. It felt so foreign, yet so very familiar at the same time, like a ghost of some ancient prophecy clawing at your mind.
Once you free yourself from this hellish predicament, you'll ask Liu Kang what is going on with you. He has to know, or at least, suspect something, and you knew very well, feelings like those could not be ignored. Too much was at stake, to keep secrets out of some misguided shame. That is, if you even make it out of here, because the man beside you suddenly pushes his robe outwards, producing a small box with a practiced flare, like a magician during one of his shows.
"Do not fret, Mortal" you're not sure if the "pet" name is a thinly veiled insult, or if it's just the way the Sorcerer speaks "This is simply something to heal your leg."
Now, your confusion must be palpable, because Shang Tsung's smile widens, as he takes in your face. Then, he laughs quietly to himself, barely above a whisper, and the hairs at the back of your neck stand straight at the sound.
"I don't want anything from you" it's a pathetic effort at staying defiant, and both of you know it.
Instead of entertaining your little outburst, the Sorcerer grabs your leg with his free hand. Immediately, you start to struggle, despite the sharp pain overtaking your senses, as his grip on you tightens. Then, you let out a sharp squeak, when the man's golden claws tear into the fabric of your pants just above the wound, and dangerously close to the apex of your thighs.
The wound looks back at you, swollen and bloody, and you swallow thickly, as blood flows from your face. You could treat it, successfully as well, if only your hands weren't currently bound behind your back, with very limited moving space. Shang Tsung opens the box with delicate fingers. There is some sort of salve packed inside, a rather large indent right in the middle proving it's been used quite extensively.
His hold on you becomes less of a grip, bordering almost on a soft caress, which brings an entire wave of concerning feelings to the surface of your mind. If he notices the way your cheeks flush, he says nothing, opting instead on dipping his fingers into the salve.
"This might hurt" he warns you, although there is not a single note of concern in his voice.
"What is that? Another Tarkat experiment?" you try to mask the shaking in your voice, as the thought of being experimented on genuinely frightens you.
Your leg twitches under his fingers, and he digs in deeper, turning to face you with an unexpected, serious expression. Again, you feel short of breath, as his dark eyes bear into yours with intensity you haven't yet experienced.
"I would never..." he cuts himself off.
The word, or rather, the tone in which he says it seems to startle you both. His eyebrows furrow in an expression of annoyance, or worry, you're not entirely sure, and he turns back towards your wound, his black hair shielding his face from your gaze. Was that repulsion, hidden within his voice? Your chest suddenly feels much too tight. Was the merciless Sorcerer disgusted by the prospect of conducting his inhumane experiments on you? You weren't sure if the sentiment warmed your heart… Or terrified you to the very core of your being.
Still, all your thoughts leave your brain, as soon as Shang Tsung places his fingers on your wound. At first, a cold feeling overtakes you, pain letting go for just a split second. Then, fire. White, hot, burning ache, seeping into your wound. It feels as if it reaches your bone marrow, and with a silent scream you fall on your back, writhing on the floor. Golden coins fly from under your feet, as you kick around, the golden chain tying your hands together strains, as you pull on it with all your might. Slowly, the pain fades, some sort of tight sensation pulling at the skin of your thigh.
And one more thing.
As you come down from the initial shock of the painful treatment, your brain registers something warm and firm, rubbing circles into your flesh. It takes you another while longer to realize it's Shang Tsung's hand, resting right above the wound, claws tapping on the inside of your leg. He watches you, as your breathing starts to slow, eyes following drops of sweat falling from your forehead and mingling with tears. Your lips parted, your eyelids flutter, and you let out a long sigh, finally being able to look down on your leg.
Where the wound once was, now, a long, pink scar shines in the light of the torches strung around the chamber. Shang Tsung closes the box, before hiding it amongst the many layers of his outfit. You half expect him to stand up and leave, but your hopes are squashed once again, as the man kneels down next to you, turning his attention towards your heaving chest.
His hand comes up, towards your face, claws shining gold. You wince and close your eyes, despite your best efforts to appear strong, but the pain you've anticipated doesn't come. Instead, you feel something sharp drag itself across your forehead. You risk cracking an eye at him, face scrunching, before relaxing into an expression of utter confusion.
There he was, your captor, tormentor, your enemy, brushing flyaway hairs from your sweaty forehead. Your eyes meet, and again, feelings swirl inside your gut, some you're too scared to decipher, and some need no explanation. His lips curl into something akin to a smirk, yet his eyes remain focused on you entirely, thoughts swimming behind his irises. Then, as if some magic spell has been broken, you can see him shift into his true self, the same scheming energy overflowing him, as if a new, frightful idea has formed inside his mind.
Once again, he reaches into the pockets of his robe, this time producing a deliciously red apple. Its skin is shiny, the potent smell makes your mouth water, and suddenly you remember you haven't eaten in Gods know how many hours. With a dark chuckle, the man turns the apple, from side to side, as if he wants you to take full stock of just how sinful it looks. Then, with a simple gesture, he tips it towards your lips. Your eyes snap up at him.
"I can't eat it with my hands tied" your voice sounds rough from all the pain you've experienced before.
"Nonsense, I shall feed you" he answers, as if this was the most obvious way out of your predicament, and the heat of embarrassment mixes with anger in your gut.
"You want me to eat out of your hand like some damned pet?"
Now, he laughs, fully. His eyes crinkle at the sides, as he inclines his head towards you.
"I know full-well you're too dangerous to let roam freely" your eyes flicker towards the apple, "And after all you've been through, aren't you hungry, Mortal?"
Your teeth grind against each other, as you weight your options. Shang Tsung moves the apple again in a tantalizing manner, and your resolve crumbles. Your eyes lock onto his, giving him the best performance of defiance you could muster, and slowly, you open your mouth.
"Good girl" he croons, and for a split second you ponder, if spitting at the man was worth the consequences.
He brings the apple closer, lets it rest on your bottom lip, before giving you a patronizingly inviting smile. Swallowing your pride, your teeth sink into the fruit, and you can't stop the absolutely shameful moan from slipping out of you, as the sweetness of the apple hits your tongue. Damned be precautions, damned be your dignity, you were hungry, and that apple was delicious. So you take a bite so large, it almost reaches the stem, letting some juice flow down your chin.
Shang Tsung watches you eat with a laser focus one might imagine he reserves for his experiments, teeth catching his bottom lip.
Another bite, this one silent on your part. His eyes follow the column of your throat, when you swallow. One more, and you give him a show of looking up at his darkened expression when your teeth all but tear away from the fruit.
Your hands are shaking behind your back, a coil is forming deep within you, and you press your legs tight together, to shield the rest of your dwindling dignity from completely being torn away. He notices. Of course, he does, as your actions seem to have a similar effect on him, if his bitten lips and heavy breaths are anything to go by.
"Why go through all this trouble, Sorcerer?" you ask, licking your lips from the remnants of your meal.
His eyes follow your tongue, before looking back right into your eyes. The rest of the apple is thrown somewhere amongst the golden piles of treasure, forgotten entirely. Time seems to slow down, air becomes thick between the two of you, surrounding you like a vat of tar. The pull you've been feeling since meeting this infamous monster becomes almost too strong to ignore.
Shang Tsung raises his hand, grabbing your chin and pushing it upwards. There is a myriad of emotions running rampant on his face, until it finally settles on something so dark and wanting, your stomach tightens at the mere sight. His lips come down upon yours in an avalanche, slipping towards your chin, where he provocatively licks at your skin, tasting the apple's juices and humming to himself.
Your voice comes out as a small whimper, entire body reacting to his kiss, as you fight between pushing him away and pulling him much closer. He decides for you, coming back to claim your lips again, as his hands start to travel up the sides of your stomach, gathering your shirt in the process.
His clawed gauntlets scratch at your skin, not enough to actually hurt you, but enough to elicit a wave of shudders from your body. Finally, he pulls away, considering your swollen lips and disheveled hair as one would their newest painting. Pride and mischief mix well in his black irises, and he licks his lips slowly, making you blush impossibly red.
"You look quite beautiful, like this" he croons, tangling his free hand in the hair at the back of your neck, "So pliant under my fingers."
For a moment, all you can do is stare at him, poised above you with his usual smirk gracing his features. Then a thought materializes in your head, a chance at finding an escape route, if you could play your cards right.
"Untie me" you moan wantonly, arching your neck, as if to give him better access.
He launches at your exposed pulse point immediately, licking a long stripe up, before giving your skin a few delicious nips, ones that make you almost forget your half-formed plan. Almost. Gathering all your resolve, you writhe against him. His clothes are hiding a lean, but well-muscled body, and you wish so hard, you could run your hands down his chest.
"Untie me, please" you don't recognize your voice, so broken and needy.
The Snake stops his ministrations, tugging at your hair, before sliding his hand towards your shoulders, where he grabs you and pulls you even closer, so your body is leaning almost completely on his lap. His other hand makes quick work of the zipper on your trousers and worms itself into your underwear. A wave of humilation hits you, as your pink, polka-dotted panties look at you from between the fly.
"I can't risk you getting away" he whispers in your ear and takes a long whiff of your hair, humming in pleasure, "My Benefactor has made it clear, you are crucial to their plan."
That startles you. Or it would, if the Sorcerer hadn't began to delicately rub his fingers over your lower lips, just shy of entering you. It's torture, a new brand of cruel experiment, you think, as you buck your hips against him, trying to get some sort of pressure
"I would've thought you wanted me for yourself" you pant between heated kisses you're leaving on the exposed skin of is neck, "It certainly - oh - seems so."
The hand which is currently not occupied sneaks around your middle, before grabbing a handful of your right breasts.
"Would you like that?" he asks into the crown of your head, his fingers finally dipping into your opening.
It takes you several tries to form an answer in your brain, and another few to vocalize it. His thumb makes quick work of finding your bundle of nerves, and instantly starts to abuse that newly-found knowledge. You bite your lip, hard, to stop any sounds from escaping you, but the Sorcerer wouldn't have it. His mouth finds yours, and he swallows your moans of pleasure with an approving hum reverberating through his chest,
"Would you like to be kept by me? Be mine and mine alone" his lips brush against yours as he talks, and you tug mercilessly on your binds, wanting to hold onto something, anything. Him.
"I-" you can't quite finish your sentence, because the hand that's been, for the most part, playing with your breast like it's a stress ball, begins to travel further down, until it rests on the lower part of your stomach. "No."
It comes out as choked and desperate, as his fingers curl upwards inside you, hitting a spot that nearly makes you fly off the ground. He laughs, right in your ear.
"No?"
"No" you swallow, "I'm- oh fuck... I'm too good for you."
Another deliberate motion of his fingers and your toes start to curl. He might be the key to undoing the entire universe, but hell, he does know how to use his fingers. Long and elegant fingers, trained by years spent on studying ad practicing spells, made dexterous by whatever horrors he has committed in his laboratories. Fingers, which are currently pumping in and out of you with a pace set specifically to drive you insane.
"Yes" he hisses through his teeth, pressing his nose to the crown of your head, "You are too good for me, aren't you? That's why you're here, taking my fingers like you were meant for it."
Gods, his voice really isn't helping you focus. By the feeling of something hard and rather large poking you in your thigh, you guess you're not the only one getting off on the sound of his voice. A coil starts to tighten deep within you, growing tighter with every movement of his fingers, every word coming out of his filthy mouth
"Even the Fire God couldn't keep you away from me" his thumb presses down onto your clit and begins to rub it in quick circles, "He was so scared to let you go into my lair, wasn't he?"
You nod absentmindedly, thrashing in the Sorcerer's lap, as a strong shiver of pleasure wrecks your body. Experimentally, you move your backside, rubbing against his growing erection, and the man hisses into your ear, his movements faltering for a split-second.
"He was right" Shang Tsung seethes the words into your skin, before coming down to bite on your shoulder, "We will be each other's undoing."
His palm presses flat on your lower stomach, as his efforts inside your pants increase tenfold. The coil is so close to breaking, you can feel tears start to form in the corners of your eyes.
"Ladies first, sweet thing" he hums, pressing your writhing body even closer to himself, "Come undone for me."
And you do, as if compelled by some ancient magic. Your face buries itself into his robes, teeth catching on the skin of the juncture between his neck and his shoulder. And you bite, hard enough to break his skin, taste his blood on your tongue. The coil shatters, and so does your grip on the world. You let out a muffled wail, the Sorcerer pulling you even closer, engulfing you entirely in his presence, his smell. Your legs are shaking, as Shang Tsung lets you ride out your orgasm on his nimble fingers, and soon, your body becomes boneless.
He doesn't let you go for a while longer, still pressed to your body, swaying with you in some sort of perversion of intimacy. Or perhaps, as much as the thought terrifies you, there is some link building between the two of you. Something more than lust and curiosity. Then, his hand leaves your pants, coming up out of your field of vision. You catch a glimpse of his soaked fingers, and your imagination fills in, what might be happening just above your head, as an obscenely wet sound of sucking reaches your ears.
Then, like the gentleman he is, he helps you button your pants back up, straightens your shirt and ties your hair more neatly. You want to kiss him again. There is another need brewing inside you, as you watch him stand up and dust his clothes, which are now stained with gold dust in places.
Is it wrong to want more?
You want to reach up, brush your fingers through his hair, kiss him until he can't speak clearly. You wants to feel his breath quicken again, feel his pulse run wild. You want to drain his blood and feed on his power until there's nothing left. That last thought freezes you in your spot, cold shivers climbing up your body like a dead hand gripping you from beneath the earth.
Too dark, too power-hungry, and you were none of those things. You never will be.
"Beautiful" he murmurs again, watching you from above, but this moment of sentiment is cut shortly, as his head snaps towards the entrance to the chamber, expression souring instantly
Your eyes follow his, but there's nothing you can see in the darkness. A chill runs up your spine.
"Get ready, Mortal" oh, so we're back to thinly veiled insults, "My Benefactor will want to meet you soon."
With that, he turns to leave, not sparing you a second glance, and you're back to being alone. Used and left between the piles upon piles of gold surrounding you, like your part of this chamber. A pretty thing, stained gold, made to exist only when it's owner is looking at it.
You need to get out of here, before you lose your mind.
