Btw I still want to write this au someday...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Shigadabi au : I D O N ' T D A N C E .
Each year, UA University host a big contest to celebrate the best of their students: The UA Plus Ultra cup.
Arts, Sports, Business and Science.
Four cups, four chances.
The students involved in the winning events become immediately famous, thanks to UA reputation and influence. The rules are very simply: they need to bring glory to UA College by creating an event that goes beyond the expectations.
This year, Touya “Dabi” Todoroki has decided to lead his baseball team to an absolute win of the sport contest. He dreams with joining the big league, but his time is running out. Soon he will graduate and with his body condition, he won't be able to play for so long until the abuse gets to far on his muscles. Dabi needs the win to show his father he is capable of becoming a winner, even against the odds.
Meanwhile, Tenko Shimura, widely know for his artistic nickname "Tomura", has found a way to direct the final play at the big theater by promising a musical show like no one made before. No one believes such controversial artist can make it, less alone when he needs to supervise every part of the production. However, Tomura is more concerned about reaching more people, sharing his art and his message with the world.
The problem comes when Tomura's main actor breaks his ankle, incapable of dancing for the show. In parallel, Dabi discovers that his team lacks a good pitcher to keep up the team's defense.
Tomura then comes with a genius plan.
He waits for Dabi outside of his classes and intercepts his path with a bet Dabi can't reject: If Tomura can assemble an art team capable of defeating Dabi's team in a baseball game, Dabi must agree to be the big star in Tomura's play. However, If Dabi's team win, Tomura would by their stellar pitcher for the upcoming season.

UP ON THE CLIFF :
↳ Summary :
“ Of the five families that began the exodus from the cities to the mountains after the appearance of the urban plague, none had as much history or wealth as the Todorokis. However, it is not uncommon for tradition and tragedy to go hand in hand.
Shortly after the Todorokis came to settle in the "red valley", Enji received a letter: In exchange from their peaceful stay in those lands, the Count of the Cliff demanded the life of Touya Todoroki, the eldest son. As the head of the town, Enji was expected to do anything to protect his people, for what he put his oldest child in a carriage at midnight, on his way to the Count's castle up on the cliff.
Between the place he has just left and the place he was destined to reach, Dabi needs to decide which was a prison of endless despair and which is a source of unconditional love. Should Dabi trust his forever burning heart or the pit of darkness on his head? ”
↳ Main Info :
BNHA / MHA au where the League of Villains are monsters living among the humans. Multiple narrators.
↳ Additional Info :
It can contain spoilers from the manga adapted to the au.
Since it focus on the League, don't expect to see other characters a lot, except when it comes to their relationships with the members of the League and their stories.
Main ships are Shigadabi and Kuropress. I'll add more ships as the story goes.
Some chapters will have violent or strong scenes, but I'll tag them and I'll make sure they don't matter that much to keep up with the general plot. In general we'll be dealing with:
Domestic violence mentions, wounds and blood mentions, abuse mention, dead mention, monster related images, etc.
↳ Links To The Chapters :
Chapter 1.

Can you imagine the survivor guilt of the LOV in a universe where they're still alive after the final battle, but Tomura isn't????
None of them considered that he would lose, let alone die. Even worse if Deku tells them about all he saw and how he kept fighting for their sake, how much he tried to be their hero.
Especially since most of them had accepted the possibility of dying, believing Tomura would fulfill their dreams. Who would tell them? Deku? Would they be separated? It'd be too cruel, to keep them apart as they realize their boss sacrificed all he could for them.
Do you think they'd remember Tomura trashing on the ground as AFO pats his head? Would you think they'd rage or just cry? Would Dabi hide his pain? Would Spinner blame himself? Would Toga accept the possibility that she now can live more freely, but she can't share her happiness with Twice or Tomura? Would Mr. Compress feel that his sacrifice to keep Tomura alive was in vain now that he's dead anyway?
It's so wrong. For him to be dead and then alive...

MY TOP 3 SHIGADABI AUS
UP ON THE CLIFF ( fantasy au )
There's a sickness slowly turning humans into monsters and there's a Count demanding their lives in exchange for safety for the villages.
When Enji gives in and sends his oldest son as a human sacrifice, Touya is determined to get some answers from the Count himself.
Aka Tomura pretends to be the evil Count of the Cliff so human villages send those suffering from the demon sickness to him. They're later offered a deal: they can run away on their own and be free as they please until their sickness kills them— or they can continue the journey to the castle up on the cliff, where they would be safe and could learn how to live as monsters.
Maybe find a cure. Who knows.
I DON'T DANCE ( college au )
Every year, UA college awards the best project of every faculty with the Plus Ultra Cup. Win it and you'd be one step away from making your dreams come true, they say.
This year, captain of the baseball team Touya Todoroki is desperate to find a pitcher that takes his team to win the sports cup. Their reward? A chance to play with the pros on the best League in Japan!!
Meanwhile, horror artist Tomura is in charge of the faculty project of that year. Not only does Tomura have to consider and include all arts available at UA, but he must create something that goes up and beyond the expectations.
How can it even go wrong?
AKA Tomura and Touya mix sports and arts on a genius stupid bet. Tomura is the new pitcher of the UA heroes and Touya is the lead actor for Tomura's play. Mess of the century.
HEAL YOUR BURNING HEART ( 911 au )
A society that acts like only a few can be heroic is rotten to the core. Tenko and Touya learned that the hard way. Heroes can suck— they can be selfish, arrogant, blind hypocrites. The truth is that they're just people with flashy quirks or a reason to risk their lives to save others.
Flash news, assholes: you don't even need a quirk to do that last part.
AKA in the most ironic move someone could ever expect, Touya becomes a firefighter and Tenko a paramedic. Without a hero license, they are stuck fighting with the system so that they can do their job. Break the law, save a life, join your local firefighters!

Writing practice ( 22 / 04 / 2024 )
#2 Version — Writing in Spanish and translated to English.
Context: pro-hero au.
Tenko succeeds in catching the bad guy who generated the leak on the sewage systems and the heroes' effort confined the explosion to a small zone. Unfortunately, Tenko didn't have the time to get out of the sewage before the explosion. Now he's stuck underneath as the other heroes search for him.
    Move move move move move—
    "MOTH!"
Part of him would always respond to his sister's call. It was something intrinsic to him, a kind of compulsion that took his body hostage when Hana's voice rose to the heavens.
Sometimes Tenko found it hard to believe that they had survived the shadow of a villain like AFO. If he closed his eyes now, he could imagine that he was just sleeping and that at any moment he would wake up in another bed, another room, another life just as his as his own. He would walk to a deserted room to shake the fantasy of his dream into dust on the trash can. He would go to the bathroom, wash his face, and not recognize the young man standing there. Only his red eyes would give away his identity.
    All was a dream.
It was time to stop playing heroes.
He knew that he had done his job well because his whole body hurt, yet he was alive. Tenko had managed to contain the explosion to the smallest tunnel of the sewage system in the middle of the evacuated area. Hana had surely redirected most of the gas and dissipated it appropriately on the surface. He knew this because the explosion only knocked down a couple of walls and sent him flying into the bars on the west side of the tunnel.
Deep inside, he just wanted to curl up against Touya's jacket, lay down on the floor and take a nap. He must have had a concussion. He couldn't feel it 'cause everything hurt the same, but Tenko always took his paramedic classes very seriously. Check for contusion. Check to see if he kept the rest of his body. Even without visibility due to the smoke and the giant block of cement covering the exit, Tenko knew that he would see nothing but a firmament of starts blinking on his periphery if he tried to open his eyes. However, Hana was calling him. There was not time to rest.
    "Hana."
No good. His voice sounded beyond ruined. If he had heard Hana, she must be somewhere around him, he reasoned. Tenko had no idea of the radius of the explosion, so he had to do his best to help his sister locate him.
    "Hana..." Think, Tenko.
Could the piece of rubble in front of him be safely removed? When the explosion sent him flying, the separating metal fence saved his life by stopping a large piece of debris just over a meter away. He couldn't see anything because of the way the tunnel collapsed. On second thought, he couldn't put it down. Tenko wasn't sure if that would bring him to the surface or let more debris rain down on him. He had not survived the explosion to die buried by his own impatience.
    "MOOOOTH!"
"Here..." to your left. Damn, he was running out of oxygen in there. Was that normal? How come he could hear his sister perfectly, but he couldn't feel the slightest draft of air against his skin?
Panic struck him suddenly. He couldn't be hallucinating, could he? The concussion, the lack of oxygen, the feeling of being swimming in air... If he decayed with his quirk that piece of debris and there was something on top of it, he would die. If he did nothing and he was hallucinating, he would die. If he rushed to make a decision and it was the wrong one, he would die.
Ironically, Tenko could only think about his conversation with Touya a couple of hours ago.
I promise not to die in your jacket.
Wait... Touya's mask!!! He had it with him!!
When he made it out, Tenko promised he'd pay for Touya's new jacket. For lending it to him— and for saving his life by doing so.

Pro-hero ! Toga Himiko but his three mentors are:
— Vlad King.
— Shinso Hitoshi.
— Pro-hero ! Mr. Compress.
No more wise old mentors. From now on your mentor options are
1. old mentor that turns out to have at least the same amount of chaotic dumbass energy as the protagonist
2. mentor that is the same age or younger than the protagonist and is only in the position of mentor because they have experience with one specific thing, but in every other respect they are just as young and dumb as the protagonist is

Writing Practice ( 21 / 04 / 2024 )
#1 Version — Writing directly in English.
Context: pro-hero au.
During a city-wide coordinate villain attack, Tenko hears that the villains plan to use the sewers to leak a gas and make it explode with a timer. Hana worries, so she calls Touya to help get some sense into her brother's brain.
"I need to go under."
Tomura tried to catch his breath, looking right and left for the alignment of the sewage system underneath them. What type of leaking were they creating? How fast would it travel down the tunnels? They needed to seal each and every entrance for— what? How many blocks were they talking about? How long until the timer stopped? How—
Tenko felt first the shove, then the pain as his ass bit the pavement. When he looked up, he had to squeeze his eyes to see anything beyond the sun angled to blind him.
"Hold it," that snarl he knew. It wasn't the day looming its heat over him. It was a man with thin threads of smoke floating around him as he tried to calm down. "You're not doing shit."
Tenko spat, wiping his mouth with the back of his gloves. Ah, he thought as he searched for Hana, to no avail. Touya waited for him to move or say something.
Standing slowly, Tenko took care not to look at him.
"That might not be up to you." Where was Hana anyway? It'd be quicker if she could float him to the nearest sewer entrance. "Go now, Touya. You cannot be here."
If the villains were planning a gas leak on the sewers —and they were, Tenko would bet his life and some on what he heard earlier— they didn't have time for Touya to get stubborn. His fire quirk was a hazard at best. He must know. Hana must have talked to him on the radio while Tenko was trying to recall every late night at the agency he spent studying the prints of the city.
Even with so many villains on the loose, there was no case on staying there and waiting for the ground to explode. They were a distraction. No one saw it coming. No other fellow student or pro-hero was catching on the actual plot. Like it or not, Tenko was their best bet. He had the training, he had the knowledge—
There was a hand closing on the front of his suit, putting him impossibly close to big blue angry eyes.
"You're gonna get yourself killed." Tenko wanted to protest, but Touya was not having it. He shook his head in disbelief like he knew exactly what Tenko was about to say. "Where's your cape, moth?"
It was getting annoying. His cape was—
Touya's gaze sharpened as Tenko realized what he was being told. His cape was wrapped around a little girl on paramedics ground. His suit was fireproof, of course, but not as sturdy as his cape. Without it, if he got caught in an explosion on the sewage, he'd—
    You're gonna get yourself killed.
    Fuck, Touya was right.
Tenko raised his hand and Touya let go of him by instinct. Even gloved, people knew to keep their distance just in case. Tenko landed already twisting on his heels, spotting his sister on the mouth of the alley. The sunlight had moved from its previous position.
    "I have a plan."

THIS WONT HAPPEN SO PLEASE DON'T GO THEORIZING ABOUT IT but can you imagine if Deku ended up quirkless and Tomura ended up with OFA (but AFO gets destroyed).
Concept is "what if the hero saved the villain by making him the chosen one, by choosing him, by telling him that maybe no one considered you but I do, I see you, I still believe you can do what you dreamed to do, I think you can still be a hero".
If Deku did with Tomura what All Might did for him and gave up on the power that he worked so hard for, in exchange for saving the one person he needs to save the most.
It's be horrendous. A total tragedy. When has the main character given up everything he's worked for and gifted it to his biggest enemy. How is that a satisfying ending. It's stupid. It's insane. It's the type of ending that would have the people riot, insulting the mangaka for the ages, the manga ranking in "worst mangas ever" for all eternity.
It's perfectly an insane and interesting move.
Giving villain the hero responsibility of keeping the world safe? Chaining them to the wellbeing of all humanity by granting them the wish of being the chosen one? Teaching them to repent for their ways? This far in the story, Deku had taught many of his friends how to deal with OFA. Deku taught them how to stop him, contain him. They have practiced it. OFA is no longer infallible, but just another (couple of) quirk(s). Deku could contain OFA user Tomura if he wanted. His real power is that he understands quirks so well, he can work around anything.
The thing about All Might is that he couldn't even breathe between jobs. He was all day and all night running to help people. The law couldn't keep up with him, the government couldn't keep up with him, no one could. It's borderline slaving your life to your hero job. Not a moment to be idle, not a moment to rest. You can't even enjoy the money, because when? Vacations? You don't have those. You're never in your house, you barely sleep on your own bed, reporters and fans follow you every minute of your life so you have no privacy...
I need a fic like that.
I need a fic of Tomura getting to be the new OFA user and Deku becoming the first quirkless hero and the drama is so unhinged and funny because Tomura and Deku are completely restless, they're not even considered human (they are, but fuck if they're not obsessing over the hero job).
Also no one wants to be saved by Tomura and Tomura can't be rude to people. Deku goes with him to every job. Worst possible sibling duo and your house is on fire? Just a Tuesday, I guess.

I just decided to send paramedic Tomura to Recovery Girl on his internship. I need him to hate how much the UA kids get hurt, I need him to be starstruck over Aizawa and I need him to falsely assume that kisses have special healing powers.

What if something happened and post-final fights LOV had to take care of little Tenko in the present and Tomura had to take care of the LOV in the past before they even were the LOV, uh?
I'm talking about the "5 years old Tenko and 22 years old Tomura swap places temporarily" type of trope.
Pre LOV members wondering why the hell that strange creep cares and Tomura like "they don't know they will follow me to the end of the world".
Little Tenko scared because it's the version that just killed his entire family and the LOV (+ Deku) doing all they can to comfort the child until he trusts that he's safe with them.
Imagine the drama.

Thinking again of the I Don't Dance au and how screwed was Touya right from the start. After all, Tomura is the type that's completely unaware of how good he looks while he's pitching (Touya is a professional, dammit. He's not getting distracted).
