I wish at least one of Mickey's older brothers had been a more prominent character for a single (silly) reason.
Imagine Fiona hearing about all the "fucking fantastic" sex the Milkoviches are having with her brothers and later on with her sister (she's still there when it happens, shut up,this is an au) and she just decides to "try them out" for herself once. Idk it's probably a throwaway one-night stand or something, but there's a scene of her stumbling away from the encounter dazed as hell from how good it was lol.
And it's just...the Milkovich and the Gallaghers are really compatible ok?

12 Days of Ficmas ❅ Day 4
Tumblr media
Word Count: 1.6K Paring:  Lip Gallagher x Fem!Reader Prompt @a-cure-for-writers-block:  mothering their S/Os younger siblings and making sure they're getting enough to eat
Summary:  Lip Gallagher has had a hell of a year, and most of the time he doesn't think he deserve the mercy he's been shown. But (Y/N) will stop at nothing to make sure he and his family know they are taken care of. And he knows it.
A/N: a bit late, but still published. Also, this is very short and sweet and does not follow the canon after season 5. Kind of went off path to give Lip a bit of a quicker redemption. Hope y'all enjoy!

“Yo, Lip,” Ian’s sleepy voice rang through his brother’s phone. “Uh, your girlfriend is over here, and I think she’s gone crazy.”
“What you mean?” Lip chuckled as he rubbed his hands together to warm them up. “‘Cause that’s a lot coming from you.”
“Very funny,” he laughed sarcastically. “No, but she made Christmas puke on the house, and she’s been cooking nonstop since this morning. She hounded us all morning until we ate breakfast and wouldn’t stop until we sat down at the table.” ”
Lip couldn’t help the smile that crept onto his face as he pictured his girlfriend with her face dirtied by food, her hair tied back and away from her face, and her voice carrying around the house as she made sure everyone had eaten. It was one of the things he loved about her and one of the reasons he was glad she had come into his life. “Look, I’ll be home soon,” he chuckled. “Can you just make sure she actually eats? I know she’s gonna forget.”
“Fine,” Ian groaned. “Just hurry up.”
(Y/N) had come into Lip’s life at a moment when he was sure his life would have gone down the rails. She has become his sense of normalcy in his less-than-normal life. He had needed something to ground him back to earth, and that was exactly what she had done. After being so close to rock bottom he could taste the soil on the ground, she had been the only one that had been able to bring him back to his feet.
As he got off the L, he wondered what she could have ever seen in him. She was smart and beautiful and a complete juxtaposition to the man he was. She was sunshine where he was rain, she was happiness where he was gloom, she was future while he was stuck in the past. And she was everything he never thought he needed.
The moment he reached the house, he could hear the chatter from his family and the smell of (Y/N)’s cooking. Inside, Liam, Carl, and Ian were hypnotized by the TV while (Y/N) and Debbie talked away in the kitchen.
Ian had not lied. The Gallagher house had been decorated like it had never been before. From garlands to stockings above the fireplace, to a massive Christmas tree in front of the stairs, it was a scene that had never lived inside that house. “Yo, you weren’t kidding, huh?” Lip chuckled as he shook off his jacket. “Didn’t think we’d ever have these many decorations.”
“And presents,” Carl grinned. “Check under the tree.”
Just like his younger brother had pointed, under the pine rested a couple of boxes wrapped in kraft paper. Each of them had every one of the Gallagher’s names written on them and a glittering red bow around them. It truly was more than Lip could have ever expected.
“Ian, did she eat something?”
“Yeah,” he said. “She’s also been pecking at everything she’s doing.”
“Alright, thanks.”
Taking the scenery in, Lip walked into the kitchen to find (Y/N) wearing a dirty apron and plates balanced on her arms.
“You’re home,” she smiled, kissing his cheek as she walked past him to give the three boys each a plate. “Good. There’s a plate for you in the microwave. I made some turkey sandwiches for lunch. Light enough to not fill you guys up for dinner but strong enough to tide you over until then.”
“Thanks, (Y/N),” the boys chorused before digging into their sandwiches and focusing back on the TV.
“This is so good, (Y/N),” Debbie exclaimed from the breakfast table. “I don’t know how you’re not studying to be a chef.”
“I cook for fun, not for work,” the young woman smiled. “That’s what engineering school is for.”
“I’m just saying,” she shrugged. “If the genius stuff doesn’t work out, you could definitely be a chef.”
“Thank you, Debs,” (Y/N) responded. “And speaking of school, how was your last final, babe? I know this semester has been a bit hard.”
Understatement of the century, Lip had thought. He couldn’t understand how he had not been expelled after everything he had done the year before. He had been so close to losing it all. Had it not been for (Y/N) stopping him before he smashed Youens car and speaking up on his behalf at the disciplinary meeting, he was sure he would have gotten a worse punishment than a semester suspension. She had been the saving grace he didn’t know he needed, and she was the reason he understood he needed help.
Lip had inherited more than a hard life from his parents, he’d fallen victim to their addictive genetics and gone off the deep end with a bottle of liquor in hand. But somehow, she had been there to pull him up while he was down and walk beside him as he got back onto the right path. She stayed with him as he rebuilt himself into the man people believed he was.
“I think it went pretty well,” he said before taking a bite of his sandwich. “Won’t know until after the break, but if midterms were anything to go by, I did good.”
“That’s good. I’m pretty sure you did very well,” she smiled as she sat beside him, placing a hand on his and a coffee cup in front of his plate. “And I know you’re tired, but I’m gonna need you to help me prep the table for dinner tonight. Kev, V, and the girls are coming over. Fiona can’t make it, but she’ll try for actual Christmas Day or New Year's.”
“You’ve got everything planned out already, don’t you?” Lip chuckled. “Not that I am surprised in any way, shape or form.”
“I would have told you earlier, but I wanted you to focus on your exams,” she said before turning to the boys in the living room. “Hey, guys! Remember to wash your dishes when you’re done! I’m gonna need them for tonight.”
“Yes, (Y/N),” they chorused back.
“You got them very well trained,” Debbie laughed. “Where have you been all our lives?”
“Just on the other side of town,” the girl smiled. “Now hurry and finish eating. We’ve got work to do.”
After everyone finished their lunch and the how was suddenly dispersed of children, (Y/N) and Lip set off to work. While she waltzed around the kitchen, he rearranged the formal dining area to fit all the guests. As he walked around the house, the young man wanted to laugh. He remembered a time when that type of domesticity would have sent him running, searching for the easiest way to drown his fears of commitment and stability. But there he was, setting tables for a dinner party that his girlfriend had cooked, and he didn’t feel the jittery need to escape. He didn’t feel the anxious desire to feel alcohol burn its way down his throat and fill him with a mirage of confidence. He wanted to stay.
“Hey,” he whispered after he had finished his task, snaking his arms around her waist and kissing her cheeks. “Thanks for doing this.”
“Of course,” she smiled, leaning into the comfort and warmth of his touch. “Do you think there’s enough food I don’t know if I should set out some snacks for the kids while the turkey is finished. Maybe dinner is too late for Jemma and Amy. I should set some snacks out.”
“(Y/N), baby,” he chuckled. Lip flipped her around, kissing her lips softly to stop her rambling. “There’s enough food, and they should be starving by dinner. You worked hard enough on all these dishes, they need to be eaten.”
“And they will, but…”
“You really enjoy mommying them, don’t you?” Lip grinned lovingly. “You know they’re not kids anymore –other than Liam. The other ones are all teenagers, they know how to get food when they’re hungry.”
“I know that. But I just wanna make sure they know there’s someone here that cares about them other than you now that Fiona’s gone,” she admitted, her eyes falling onto the hands she pressed to his chest. “And I want them to like me, Lip. I’m in it for the long run, babe.”
“If there’s one thing I can assure you, it’s that the Gallagher family loves you,” he smiled. His hand caressed her cheek softly, and it surprised him that only a year before, his knuckles would have been ripped and bloodied. But not with her. Never with her. “And if you keep cooking like this for them, they’ll make sure you’re here forever.”
“And what about you? Would you want me to stay forever?”
Lip couldn’t help the smile that spread across his mouth. As he stared into her eyes, it took everything inside him not to spoil the plans he had for Christmas morning. He wanted to give her all the reassurance she could need with the ring he had hidden deep in his underwear drawer. But when he had a plan, it was hard to divert from it. “How could I want anything else?” he grinned. “Now, why don’t we finish up here so we can have a little treat before dinner ourselves?”
“Philip Gallagher,” she exclaimed at his advance, slapping his chest playfully. “I have too much work to do to be thinking about that.”
“Come on, I’ve only been thinking about this all day,” he groaned. “It’s the only thing that got me through that test.”
“Then you can wait a bit more,” she laughed. “I promise I’ll make it worth your while, baby. All good things come to those who wait.”
And, at that moment, she had no idea how much truth there was in that statement.

MY BOY by BILLIE EILISH
gallagher family x sister! reader | angst | fluff
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
❛he was really sweet in the beginning. . .but then. . .❜
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。
ETHAN was the sweetest guy you have met in your entire life. you were going to school with him, but he was always this strange, quiet kid in class. he was that person that nobody wanted to talk to because everyone thought that he was a creep. but you wanted to get to know him and see if the gossip was true. you kept your relationship with ethan in secret because you knew your siblings and how protective they were; you just wanted to enjoy a new relationship alone. first two months were great; you felt like you had found a good partner; you felt like home when you were with him; he was your safe place. . .
but suddenly everything changed; ethan stopped being this cute guy you described as your soulmate. at first, he just made comments about your look that were meant to make you hate yourself, making you more traceable to his manipulations. you were in love with him; that’s why you didn’t think straight about what was going on. you excused him because he was your lovely boyfriend, and of course he wouldn’t hurt you. how stupid you were.
the verbal abuse was painful, but you didn’t want to be alone again, so you decided to ignore it. maybe he was having a bad time; you needed to understand that as his girlfriend. . . but then he started practicing violence against you. at first, he just slapped you from time to time, and again, you thought it was not that big deal.
right now, you're just scared to leave him or to tell someone about ethan. so you just accepted your fate, letting him destroy yourself.
·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ ⸻⸻⸻ ❝ they start to notice ❞ ⸻⸻⸻ ✯
it started at every friday movie night. it was a tradition between you and mickey. you’ve always waited until the end of the school week to just chill with milkovich and forget about the world. but this time you wanted to postpone this. it was weird, but you were just hoping that he wouldn’t care about it. unfortunately, he started to ask questions: why? ; what happened? ; can i help you? etc., to avoid the rest of the questions, you said yes to the movie night. but it wasn’t the same as always. you weren’t watching a movie; you were just looking blindly at the wall and anxiously biting your lips. he was suspicious about your behavior, but he also knew that you weren’t going to answer his questions, so he decided to leave you alone and ignore all of this. maybe you just had a bad day, and all you wanted was to sit quietly. he hoped that it was just a bad day.
❛tell them, tell ‘em, tell them the truth❜
next was fiona, she found you in the bathroom when you forgot to lock the door. she was looking at you crying, almost having a panic attack. you were mumbling something to yourself, but even you don't understand what you're saying. fiona was your comfort person, but you didn’t want her to look at you in this situation. after realizing that you were being watched by someone, you looked at the door and saw your older sister. your heart started to hurt, but you just whispered that everything is okay and closed the door without explanation.
❛tell them, tell ‘em, tell them the truth❜
your little sister, debbie was the third person to see something strange about your behavior and your appearance. while playing with franny she saw the scar on your cheek when she asked you about it. you just shrugged your shoulders, saying it was nothing, and you just hurt yourself while playing with a stray dog a few days ago. she didn’t believe you, of course; what a stupid excuse that was. you changed the topic, scared of telling the truth about the scars on your body. your siblings don’t know about your relationship with ethan miller. and you didn’t want them to know about this boy.
❛tell them, tell ‘em, tell them the truth❜
you started to run off excuses for things like changes in your humor, the scars on your body, etc. you didn’t want your family to worry about you because there was nothing to worry about. you were always a strong person in front of your family; you never cried or complained about your life. you have always been this funny and always smiling person in the group. you are always saying that you are great, even if it isn’t the truth. you just wanted to be a good example to your younger siblings, and ethan’s behavior towards you cannot change that.
one day, when you were back from school, you saw all of your family members (plus mickey) sitting on the couch and looking at you. you were confused about this situation, so you just sat down on the chair next to the couch and waited until someone was going to say something.
“why are you looking at me like that, guys?” you laughed nervously, being scared that they found out about your relationship.
“who did this to you?” ian pointed out your bruised face with a concerned look. you rolled your eyes, thinking about another excuse, knowing that you were exposed and nothing would work, but you needed to try.
“oh. . . you know, it’s nothing. i just tipped over and lost my balance, and that’s it.” you said, faking a smile. all you want at this moment is to go to the bedroom, fall asleep, and never wake up again. you hate situations like this, when all attention is focused on you. you hated being put on the spot.
“that’s bullshit. who the fuck did this to you, y/n!” milkovich shouted, but not with bad intention. he was just worried about his, maybe not biological, but younger sister. he doesn’t recognize you anymore, and neither do you nor your whole family.
❛tell ‘em, tell ‘em, tell ‘em, tell ‘em,
tell ‘em your-❜
“my boyfriend. my boyfriend did this to me.” after a few minutes of sitting quietly, you finally spoke the truth.
“you have a boyfriend? how long?” lip asked, shocked. you never had any secrets with your siblings; you always told them everything about your private things, just to listen to their point of view or advice.
your heart cracked when you heard the disappointment in his voice. this was another thing you were afraid of: that the most important people, in your life would think that you didn’t trust them.
“almost a year,” you said, and your eyes started to water because you were scared that ethan would find out that you betrayed him.
“why didn't you tell us?” fiona asked while hugging a crying debby.
“because i’m scared of him and i didn’t want to be weak in front of you guys,” you said with a tired voice. “i’m abused for eight months now; i think it’s endless. every time i thought it was over, he came back. i just i can't get out." you said, almost whispering. the silence was loud this time, and you felt powerless. you were just tired at this moment.
you felt debbie’s arms wrapping along your body, hugging you and crying into your chest. “don’t cry, princess; i’m okay.” you smiled softly at her, unable to watch her cry.
“y/n, where does that bastard live?” carl was also angry, knowing that his sister was abused by some loser, and he didn’t know about it.
“i need to be alone now.” i really need to cry you thought, going back to your room.
“we will help her,” ian said, smiling lightly at everyone in the room, knowing that he needed to rescue his sister.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
i can do a part two if you guys want to!
hope that’s what you wanted, again sorry for any mistakes!!

lip Gallagher x girlfriend OC (Delilah) summary: in which frank takes it too far
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
warning/s: violence word count: 1.6k
───── ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─────
In the 9 months that Delilah had been dating Lip Gallagher, she had only met the patriarch of the family a few times.  The first time she met Frank was 2 weeks into dating Lip. The two of them were on a date in the Alibi, and it was only inevitable that Frank would make a drunken appearance. Frank ended up stumbling into the bar and smashing the TV within 5 minutes of being there. He didn't even notice that his son and his son's girlfriend were in there as well. As far as first impressions go, with Frank, that was probably the best that it could have gone.
The second time she met Frank was after a month of dating Lip. She nearly stood on him while making her way into the Gallagher house from the backdoor. The man was passed out on the kitchen floor, but the Gallagher siblings didn't say anything about it or show any concern, so Delilah could only assume that it was a regular occurrence.
The other few times she had met him had been similar occurrences, or him arriving home while the Gallaghers, with the additions of Veronica, Kevin and Delilah, were watching some shitty TV show together. Frank never really remembered Delilah, even though she had now introduced herself 4 different times, the best she had gotten for him remembering her was him saying:
Oh yeah, you're Lip's girlfriend, right?
And that was the best she was probably ever going to get. Besides, Lip had talked so much shit about his father to Delilah that she wasn't entirely sure she wanted to have any form of relationship with him anyway. Lip's siblings loved her, and that was enough for Delilah.
─ ⋆⋅☆⋅⋆ ─
It wasn't an uncommon occurrence for the Gallagher house to be the designated hang-out spot for family and friends of the Gallaghers, in fact, it wasn't uncommon for at least 8 or 9 people to be in the house at a time.
This day was no exception.
Fiona, Kevin and Veronica were in the kitchen drinking and gossiping about random shit. Ian and Lip were in their room doing god knows what. Carl was running around with the taser Lip once gifted him (batteries removed of course) and Debbie and Delilah were sitting on the couch together, the older of the two girls putting Debbies hair into plaits.
The peace was soon disrupted however when Frank drunkenly stumbles in through the back door, after not being home for about two weeks.
"Ahh, home sweet home! You know, a man's house is like his kingdom!" Frank merrily proclaimed in his drunken haze, his words tinged with an air of self-assuredness.
"Yeah, except you like to leave your kingdom for your subjects to look after don't you?" Fiona laughs slightly, in good spirits due to her also being slightly tipsy, Frank was easier to deal with when you're also drunk.
"Fuck off offspring one! A true king has a range of royal duties to attend to, but he should still return to his kingdom, where subjects eagerly await with open arms- what the fuck is that?"
Frank stops his drunken rant as he reaches the living room, his eyes landing on Delilah, who had stopped doing her hair to listen to Frank's drunken rant. Delilah sighed slightly, she couldn't even get 'Lip's Girlfriend' anymore, now she was being demoted to that. Before Delilah can introduce herself, again, the sound of two sets of footsteps interrupts them, Ian and Lip were making their way down, probably to see what the commotion was about.
"She is Delilah, Frank. My girlfriend," Lip sighs, he and Ian both pausing on the bottom step, observing the man in front of them.
"Frank they've been dating for almost a year or something, you've met her like 10 times," Ian judges the man, he was close with Delilah, having been her friend before Lip even knew who she was.
"Girlfriend? Since when does Lip do relationships?"
"Since 9 months ago," Debbie answers matter-of-factly, the Gallagher household was well aware of Delilah's status as Debbie's unofficial favourite sibling, despite not actually being sisters.
"Oh, come on. Lip, my boy, he's not one to settle down. So, tell me, Plain White T, how much is he dishing out for you?" Frank's comments once again directed Delilah's way.
"Paying me?" Delilah's brows furrowed, a mixture of confusion and frustration evident in her response.
"Yeah, paying you. That's what I asked, is it not? I've heard that modern-day escorts charge a pretty penny, way more than in my time. So, how much is my son shelling out to sleep with you?"
Delilah looks at him, a bewildered expression on her face, she wasn't sure whether to be disgusted, angry or upset with the old drunk. Lip on the other hand was fuming at his dad, how dare he insult his girlfriend like that!
"I'm not paying her anything, Frank! She's not a whore, she's my girlfriend and you're gonna fucking respect that!" He shouted, walking up to his dad, staring at him intensely.
"Lip it's fine just leave it," Delilah sighs, making her way up to her boyfriend, putting a hand on his shoulder, trying to pull him away so that they could go somewhere else to avoid the drunken man for the rest of the night.
"Lip, just step away, man," Ian's voice joined the chorus of voices urging restraint, the situation teetering on the edge of a larger conflict.
"Yeah Lip, listen to the bitch," Frank challenges. Lip looks up and sighs deeply before turning and walking away a few paces.
"I gotta walk away or I'm gonna fucking hit him," he grumbles, making his way back to the stairs, Delilah's hand remaining on his shoulder.
"Hey, Lip. A piece of fatherly advice—whatever you're paying her, it's too much. Any woman who looks like that should be shared around for free," Frank's jeering remark finally pushed Lip beyond his limits. Uttering a resigned "fuck it," Lip turned back to his father and landed a forceful punch on Frank's face. The room collectively gasped, shocked by the unexpected escalation. This wasn't the first time Lip had punched his dad, but it was the first time that he kept punching and shouting at Frank after he had fallen to the floor.
"Fuck you, Frank!"
The room was filled with a mix of shock and apprehension as Lip continued to rain down blows on his fallen father, his anger pouring out in a torrent of punches and expletives. Fiona, Kevin, and Ian quickly intervened, struggling to restrain Lip's furious assault.
"Enough, Lip!"
"Jesus, Lip, that's too much!"
"Motherfucker," Lip spits before grabbing Delilah's hand and pulling her upstairs with him, taking her into his room to get away from the commotion that was happening downstairs. There was a lot of yelling, and although Delilah couldn't make out anything specific being said, it was clearly directed at Frank.
Lip sat on Ian's bed, still breathing heavily and still very angry. Delilah looks at Lip for a second, her eyes being drawn to his right hand, which was now bruising and bloodied up, Delilaah couldn't quite tell if it was his own blood or Franks or a mixture of the two.  Delilah huffed a little before making her way out of the room swiftly, which confused Lip. Luckily for him, he wasn't left to be confused for long as she returned less than a minute later, first aid kit in hand. Lip rolled his eyes slightly, as Delilah, without saying a word, kneels down in front of him and took his hand in hers and started to wipe the blood off of it.
"You're an idiot, you know that?" Delilah eventually spoke up, as she began to bandage his hand, "You can't just go around beating up everyone who insults me. We spend a lot of time in the southside, Lip, you'd be in fights every other day."
"Well, then I hope you get used to patching me up, 'cause I guess I'm going to get into fights every other day," Lip jokes, but Delilah only gives him an unimpressed look as a response.  "Del he called you a whore, I couldn't just stand there and let him say that shit about you."
"Yeah, but you didn't need to beat the living shit out of him, Love. You could have just shouted at him a bit and Fiona and the others would have stood in to help and get him to stop," She says as she finishes bandaging his hand, getting up off the floor so that she was now standing in front of him.
Lip looked up at his girlfriend, he used his good hand to pull her towards him so she was now standing between his legs, his arms wrapped around her legs, her hands going straight to his curls, brushing through them.  "You gotta stop letting people walk all over you Del. Cause look as much as I want to be, I'm not always going to be around to cuss out the people that are shitty to you,"
Delilah smiles down at her boyfriend, leaning down and kissing him gently, "Don't worry, I'll grow a thicker skin, and spend some more time with Veronica, I could probably learn a few good comebacks from her." She jokes before lowering her voice to a whisper. "Thank you for defending me even if it was a bit excessive, Love you, Dingus."
"Love you too, nerd. And hey, if you're pissing someone like Frank off-"
"- clearly I'm doing something right."

chapter one: his voice
pairing: lip gallagher x afab!reader
series history
Tumblr media
i hate his voice. i fucking hate it.
it's the same voice that used to compliment me, day after day, when we lay side by side under the stars. i remember how he would glance at me out of the corner of his eye, a small, secret smile on his lips. the same gentle voice once asked if i was okay the first time we made love. i had even fallen in love with his moans and those infuriating, teasing remarks.
you giggled softly at the face lip pulled, your laughter echoing, dancing around you both like a familiar song. "i told you, mom bought the rich people cheese. it had like--like mold or some shit like that." you scrunched your nose up at the neatly cut squares of cheese her mother had prepared, the dark green spots on its shell betraying its age.
"well, in that case, why dont we give it back to nature?" lip said with a mischievous grin, snatching the small container and tossing it toward a tree in the distance. "not the whole container- lip! i need to take that back," you whine, rising to your feet from the small blanket beneath you. "oh, c'mon. it's a shitty container, you won't need it." before you can take a single step, lip grabs the hem of your shirt, pulling you down with enough force to make you yelp as you land on top of him.
"motherfucker," you grunt, but he only scoffs playfully.
"whining?" he teases, his eyes bright with laughter. "you weren't the one who just got squashed by a fuckin' hippo," you gasp, smacking his arm while a laugh bubbles up from your chest. "says the whale himself," you shoot back, rolling your eyes. "you'd eat me with that ginormous mouth of yours if you ever had the chance."
his grin widens as he leans in closer. "eat you, huh?"
your brow furrows, and you let out an awkward laugh, "fuck off." you move to stand but before you could, lip rolled you underneath him.
"no, let me hear it. what else would i do to you, hm?"
that night was the first time you slept together, under the stars--a scene right out of a dream. you remember the warmth of it, the tenderness you'd both tried so hard to pretend didn't exist. lip, your best friend, and the guy you've been in love with forever. you cherished that night, convinced he felt the same way. but the next day, it was as if you didn't exist. he didn't act any differently; or even bring it up. he just went right back to karen, like he always did. and that hurt more than you'd ever admit.
it's his voice that tears me down now, too. the same voice that would tell me such pretty things, now spits such cruel words. that same voice screams about how worthless i am when he was the one struggling.
"i told you to fuck off."
you roll your eyes. you know him too well--he's stressed with everything going on in his family. you made it your mission to help but lip has reached his limit.
"lip, i told you i'd help you and your family with whatever i can. you can count on me. always." you reach for his hand, but he pulls back, raising his fist. instinct makes you flinch. his face flickers with regret, but it's gone before you can hold onto it. "i--i just want to help," you whisper, hands pressed close to your chest. "and i told you to fuck off," he spat. "we don't need your help. we've got karen now, alright?" his words come faster, louder. "you hear me? no one fucking needs you. we don't need your stupid jokes to lighten the mood, and we definitely don't need your 'helping hand.' so take it somewhere else!"
he walks back without a backward glance, lighting a cigarette as if nothing happened.
i swallowed the pain. i kept my mouth shut and went by the following day to offer my help. i excused his behavior, like i always did, for being stressed because he's dealing with bigger things. i would, however, never admit how deeply his words cut... because as much as i hate him, i still fucking love him.

For You, Anything
It was no secret that the Gallagher gang had a rough life growing up. Holidays weren’t such a thing to celebrate, simply something that happened during the winter whilst they were trying to survive the cold months. Their whole life had been a struggle. It was what they were used to, and what they would probably always have hanging in the back of their heads for the rest of their lives.
It had been two and a half years since Lip had moved out of the family home and had to care for fewer people. A year and three months that he and Tami had amicably gone their separate ways and shared custody of their son Freddie. And a year since he met (Y/N).
His life had drastically changed since they had come into their life. Lip had started the transformation of his life long ago. Though he did have some major lows in his journey, he was ways away from the frightened boy he used to be. One of those lows was breaking things off with Tami. It had been a mutual breakup – they had grown apart. But it didn’t mean it didn’t hurt and he had to go through a transitional period where he didn’t see his son every day and he came home to an empty house every night.
During that transitional period, when Tami and he were still figuring out the best way to divide custody of Freddie, was when he met (Y/N).
They were walking out of a coffee shop as Lip was walking in, on his way to get an order. He bumped into them and ended up spilling their iced coffee all over them, staining their crisp white shirt and their grey pantsuit.
“Fuck,” he said. “I am so sorry. I’d say I would pay for the dry cleaning but that suit looks more expensive than my whole wardrobe.”
“No worries,” they chuckled. “You can make it up to me over dinner. I’m (Y/N).”
“Lip. Uh, Philip, but you can call me Lip.”
“Well, Lip. Here’s my number. Call me some time,” they said as they handed the man a business card.
It took him a week to call (Y/N). He had put the card on his secondhand fridge, letting it taunt him. He’d felt intimidated as soon as he read the little cardboard. They were an attorney at one of the biggest firms in Chicago. He felt slightly intimidated at the prospect of falling for someone that seemed to have it all together.
Eventually, his curiosity peaked. He wanted to know this person that had taken an interest in him just by only knowing his name. So, he called, and the rest was history.
The pair hit it off right away, finding they had more in common than differences. And although they came from different backgrounds, and lived drastically different lives, and it seemed like there would never be a way for them to ever intermingle, they did.
Lip certainly had never felt this way before. He’d been obsessed with people before; he couldn’t deny that. He was ready to give everything up for Karen; he grew infatuated with Mandy; he had a crazy rendezvous with Amanda which intertwined with the affair he was having with his much older professor Helene; finally, there was Tami, the woman he was ready to change everything for, even if it didn’t work out in the end.
But it was different with (Y/N). The intoxicating adrenaline feeling he normally got when meeting someone new was gone. He felt calm, at peace. There wasn’t the giddy feeling of finding out just how big of a trainwreck the relationship would be. Rather he felt like riding softly on the waves of their relationship.
Their relationship moved quite fast – though for Southside standards it was slow. At the end of their first month, they had already said they loved each other. After four months together, (Y/N) asked him to move in with them – they would spend so much time there that it was almost like he already did. Five months in and they met Freddie.
Now, a year into their relationship they were spending their first Christmas together, and the first Christmas Lip would spend with Freddie since the breakup. But he had never been a holiday person. He never had the luxury to be one. Not even when his kid had been born did he celebrate it well – according to Tami’s family.
On the other hand, (Y/N) was a Christmas fanatic. And when they heard that Freddie would be spending those holidays at their place, they decided to go all out.
“Okay,” they said as they joined Lip on the couch one night a week before Freddie got there. “I made a list of all the things I think will make this an unforgettable Christmas for Fred. And before you say anything, I know he’s only four years old and he probably won’t remember much of it, but I still wanna make this amazing.”
“Alright,” Lip chuckled. “Let me have it.”
“So, I know this week you still have two finals this week, so I kept it light. Mainly stuff at home,” (Y/N) started. “I was thinking we could a gingerbread house, make letters to Santa, watch Christmas classics, and bake some cookies. That way you can study during his downtime. What do you think?”
Lip couldn’t help but smile at his partner. Before them, every time the holidays came around he couldn’t help the anger that washed over him. Whilst other families had the ability to give their families happy memories to hold onto, all he could remember was having to help his family pass the winter without dying of the cold or hunger. It was something he never wanted his own son to go through. And with (Y/N) he knew it was possible.
Since they loved Christmas so much, he decided he would try his best to enjoy the holiday for the sake of his partner and his son.
“Sounds like a perfect plan,” he replied. His hands cradled their face, placing a soft kiss on their lips, a glimmer of adoration in his eyes.
“What?” (Y/N) chuckled as they noticed Lip kept staring at them.
“I’m just so fucking grateful to have met you, baby,” he said. “A year ago I never thought my life would look this way. I mean, somehow I’m back in school; I have a healthy and happy son; I’ve been two years – and counting – sober; and I have the most amazing life partner with me.”
Tears started welling up in his eyes as he recalled how his life was changing. He wanted to be the person they knew he could be. (Y/N) had helped him make a life plan and taught him that it was okay if he had to improvise some things along the way. They helped him get back into school, where he would get an advanced masters. At least that’s what he hoped. Because he wanted to change. (Y/N) made him want to change. Regardless of who he left behind.
“This is the first time I don’t feel guilty for making a better life for myself,” he continued. “The first time I don’t have to worry where my siblings will rest their heads or if they have enough food to get them through the winter or worry I’ll find my father passed out in an alley freezing. You’ve given me the time and space I’ve needed to allow myself to leave the southside behind.
People always told me that just because I was from the southside it didn’t mean I was supposed to stay there. And I always blew them off because I always found a way to screw things up and stay there. That’s when people always leave. But you haven’t. You know everything I’ve done, all the skeletons in my closet, and yet you still chose to be with me.
I truly don’t know what I did to deserve you, (Y/N). But you make me want to be a better person every day of my life. Because I love you, I want to be the person you think I can be.
And I want to enjoy this Christmas. I want to make memories with you and Freddie, even if he won’t remember them. Cause I fucking will. And I want pictures with Santa and to go ice skating, and to open presents on Christmas morning. Because we deserve it.”
(Y/N) couldn’t help but wrap their arms around his neck, kissing him once more.
“Lip, I’m the one who’s lucky. You gave my life direction,” they smiled. “Having all this, it meant nothing because I didn’t have someone to share it with. I worked, I came home, ate and slept, and did it all again. Day after day. That was my life. Now, I look forward to coming home because I know there’s someone waiting at home for me.
You and I were raised very differently. I know that. But I’ve known the gut-wrenching feeling of thinking there’s nothing better out there. With you, I know I’ve got better now.
And I know this is simply gonna be the first Christmas of many as a family. So, list or no list, I wanna do whatever you want. Because I love you and want you to have an amazing time.”
“I think I’ll stick to the list,” he chuckled through teary eyes. “I trust the expert.”
And he did. Because the thing he was mostly looking forward to was the Christmas dinner they had planned with his family, their family, and their friends. The day he would ask (Y/N) if they’d spend the rest of their lives together, making memories to last them a lifetime.

Chapter 22
Marty aside, Veronica and Kevin's wedding day was amazing. V and Fiona managed to tie Marty in the bathroom so that they could get married in the Alibi. Everyone was there.
Carol got so emotional. She had held Desna's hand as V and Kev shared their vows. The Gallagers, of course, had been present. Even Frank seemed genuinely happy, and not only because of the alcohol. Ian had invited Mandy Milkovich. They were still pretending to be dating, but the girl seemed to be pretty content with that accommodation. Unfortunately, though, Karen Jackson came, and she liked to be all over Lip for the entire time. But Desna noticed the way Karen observed her every time she got close to the boy.
She wanted her reaction; Desna was well aware. Karen liked to see Desna get jealous and angry as if to make a point. But she didn't want to give that bitch the satisfaction. Lip cared about her; Desna knew that. And it was enough.
"Do you wanna dance?" Lip asked her as the party started. His voice came from behind her. His lips close to her ear.
"Sure," she answered, taking his hand and letting him lead her to the dancefloor. And she didn't miss it: Karen's glare from across the room, and Desna's smile in her direction. Then her attention went back to Lip when he had pulled her close.
"You look beautiful," he said in her ear with a smirk.
"I hoped you'd like it," she had answered. Desna had chosen to put on a simple purple satin dress. It was comfortable, but it hugged her body perfectly, and when she tried it on, she had no doubt that it was the dress that she would have worn.
"I didn't see this," he said with his hands on her hips. Desna cocked her head to the side with a playful smirk.
"I wanted it to be a surprise," she said, looking into his eyes. His face was so close that she only had to lean over to close the small space between them.
"Oh, yeah?" he asked. His lips turned up in a grin, and she nodded, liking how his hands guided her body closer to his. "I really want to kiss you," he whispered, making her giggle. She wanted it, too.
"Kiss already," Kev's voice made them turn with wide eyes as Kevin and Vee danced next to them.
"What?" Desna and Lip asked at the same time.
"I've figured it out since we spoke about him," Veronica said, looking at Desna as her arms were around her husband.
"And... I mean..." she muttered, "Is that okay?"
"I don't want you pregnant," Vee warned her.
"And no sex when we are in the house," Kev pleaded, "It is traumatic enough to know that you are having sex, bug."
Desna blushed, "Kev!"
Since that day, her encounters with Lip have been easier to organize. Now Fiona, Vee, and Kev knew what was going on, so it was no longer difficult for them to justify why they wanted to spend time together. Desna has also found herself sleeping at the Gallaghers from time to time, but there had been no sex those times since Carl and Ian slept in Lip's same room.
That was why, that morning, she was in Lip's bed, his arm around her, and his eyes still closed, when she finally woke up. Desna turned towards him, smiling as she observed him sleeping. She caressed his cheek lightly as she studied his features. Lip didn't open his eyes, but his arm pulled her closer.
"Morning," she whispered with a little giggle.
"I was awake," Lip muttered. Desna leaned over to peck his cheek. That made him tiredly smile.
"You better," she answered. "We gotta go to school." Lip groaned, making her giggle again. Then, the sound of the door opening made her turn to look in that direction. Desna frowned when she saw who it was.
"Desna?" the boy that had just entered said.
"Warren," she said slowly sitting up, while Lip groaned.
"Lip," the boy said.
"Warren," Lip muttered, his arm adjusting around Desna's hip. He really didn't want to wake up that morning.
"Where's my paper?" Warren asked.
"Where's my money?" Lip's quick reply made her smile. Then his fingers lightly gripped her hip before he started to get up.
"Okay," he said jumping down the bunk bed, "I wanna see it."
As the boys exited the room, Desna jumped down too. She walked towards her clothes, glancing towards the corridor.
"Thirty-five, right?" Warren asked, making Desna shook her head.
"No, fifty," Lip answered. Then Warren started to say strange sounds, stereotyped sounds that people who didn't speak an Asian language thought Asian languages sounded like.
"Stop speaking fake Korean, Warren," Lip said, "I never said thirty-five. Des, did I say thirty-five?"
"Never heard of thirty-five," she answered.
"See, I've got a witness," Lip said. "I've never said thirty-five. Not for the paper I wrote you last month, not for the paper I wrote you last semester, not for this. All right? It's fifty." When he got back, Lip had brought her a brush, which Desna took with a quick 'thank you' as she started to comb her hair.
"Can you do thirty-six?" Warren asked, but Lip refused.
"Thirty-eight?" Desna and Lip looked at each other before Lip sat on Ian's bed. The girl went to the bathroom to quickly change into her clothes and kept listening to what Lip was saying to Warren.
"Now, the fact here is that you, the one Korean I know, made a deal for fifty bucks for an original essay about The Great Goddamn Gatsby," Lip was saying as Desna went back in the room, laying her shoulder against the doorframe, observing him as he took his shirt off, "Yet, once again, you're trying to lower my agreed-upon price. Okay? So I want you to give me fifty or GFY."
Desna smiled.
"GFY?" Warren asked confused.
"Go fuck yourself," Lip said.
Warren let out a frustrated breath, but finally, he gave Lip his fifty bucks.
"Thank you," Lip said cockily, observing Warren leaving the room. Desna let the boy pass, but her eyes remained on Lip. He smirked at her, "Why are you looking at me like that?"
Desna crossed the room to stop in front of Lip, who parted his legs so that she could stand between them.
"I told you," she started, putting her hands on his naked shoulders, liking the feeling of his skin under her fingers, "It turns me on when you go all smartass on people." Lip's smirk got wider, as his hands moved to her hips.
"Does it?" He smirked, then moved his hand to the side of her neck, bringing her closer so that their lips could touch. She smiled as they kissed. This situation was becoming rather pleasant. Desna was happy that she and Lip seemed more inclined to spend time with each other, even if it did not involve sex. She liked it.
Suddenly, a buzzing sound made Lip groan as he turned towards where the sound was coming from. Desna took a breath as he stood up to walk to his bed.
“Karen, hey,” she should have known. It seemed like Karen knew when Lip and Desna spent time together. It was becoming more persistent lately.
Lip turned to Desna, who forced herself to smile before starting to put her books back in her bag. “Yeah, sure. No problem,” Lip said. Alright. See you later.”
Silence fell in the room. Desna didn't really want to give Karen Jackson too much thought; she had decided it, and she wanted to keep that promise that she made to herself.
"We-um..." Lip started to speak from behind Desna. "We'll catch up at the school entrance to talk to Oompa."
Desna nodded her head, still not turning to him. "She gave you his contact," she answered simply, "I think it's fair." She heard Lip take a breath, so as she closed her bag, Desna looked at him with a small smile. "What's that face?" she asked, observing his expression. Always thinking, Lip was always thinking.
"Nothing," he shook his head before taking her hand and pulling her closer. She let him guide her until his arms moved around her waist. On his lips appeared a smirk as she moved her hands to lock around his neck, "Where were we?" Desna giggled before his mouth was on hers. She closed her eyes as her fingers went through his locks, to keep him close in the passionate kiss they were sharing. His hands moved from her hips to her ass-cheeks to push her against his body. His fingers grabbed her flesh, and she let out a moan when her phone rang.
"Really?" Lip groaned, making her giggle.
"It's better this way," she said as she took her phone from the front pocket of her jeans, "We have no time."
"I can be quick," she rolled her eyes as she pressed the button to lit up the screen. A frown formed on her face as she saw a message from an unknown number.
Hi. It said.
It had already happened some days before. Probably, someone had just the wrong number, and they kept trying. But why say only 'Hi'. She wondered if she had to write back to tell whoever it was that they were probably searching for someone else. Or they may have figured it out at some point.
"What is it?" Lip asked, observing Desna putting her phone back into her pocket.
"Nothing, wrong number," she said with a smile before taking his hand. "Come on, let's go downstairs."
Desna and Lip made their way to the stairs, and they could already hear the Gallagher family being active and ready for the day. "Lip gave me enough for it yesterday," they heard Fiona's voice, "I picked up a shift and forgot to walk it into the payment center." The oldest Gallagher had Liam in her arms, and she was finishing preparing the lunch for her siblings.
"Everything okay?" Desna asked as she noticed Steve running behind Fiona.
"I just forgot to pay the bill, Des," Fiona said as Steve looked at the money jar with wide eyes.
"Four hundred and thirty bucks?" he asked, "Lip's flushed this month." Desna smiled at Lip as he get past her to go around the counter.
"It's SAT season," Fiona explained.
"He is always flush during SAT season," Debbie explained as she was finishing to get her bag ready.
"SAT?" Steve asked, confused.
"College tests," Ian answered, giving Desna's shoulder a squeeze as he passed behind her.
"He tutors?" Steve asked, but Lip shook his head.
"No, takes," he said with a cocky smile that made Desna chuckle as she fixed Carl's hat.
"Oh, hey!" Ian said to get his older brother's attention. "I got another lead for you." Desna looked at Lip.
"Aren't you fully booked this week?" she asked, and the boy smiled.
"Yeah, I am," he answered before looking at Ian, "Set it up, duche. I'm taking it for someone else today, but there's another session in two weeks." Desna observed Lip with admiration; she knew he was smart, but he always surprised her with how smart he was. She was sure he could have a great future before him. And she hoped he would.
"Don't take the phone today, okay?" Fiona said, "I need it."
"I need it!" Debbie said, making all of them frown.
"For what?" Ian asked.
"Cold calling for babysitting gigs." She explained, "I sound more mature on the phone." Desna smiled fondly at the girl.
"Have you eaten?" Lip asked her as he walked behind her with Liam in his arms.
"Not hungry," Desna answered, "I'll grab something at school."
Finally, Fiona managed to get everyone ready for school, so they left the house to get inside Steve's car. He was a good addition; now they had free rides to school every day and no more waking up early to walk the streets of Chicago in the freezing cold of the morning. His car was big enough for them all to sit inside. Of course, Carl and Debbie would end up on one of their laps, but the ride was quite comfortable.
First, Steve dropped the kids off, and then he drove them to high school. Desna had to keep herself from rolling her eyes when she noticed Karen already waiting for Lip at the school entrance. Lip was sitting in the front, so he didn't notice Desna's reaction, but Ian was sitting next to her, and he caressed her back with an encouraging smile.
Let's do this, Desna said to herself.

THE OTHER WOMAN by LANA DEL REY
lip gallagher x f!reader | angst | bad ending
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
❛i’m the other woman. . .not the main character❜
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
YOU were doing everything for philip to make him happy; you wanted the best for him. he was your everything, the only person who wanted to be in your life. you even dropped out of school to babysit liam every day, because you wanted to show lip that his family is also important to you.
you were in love with that boy; he was your soulmate, like a missing piece from your puzzle. maybe it was pathetic, but you didn’t see how really you were treating. people are saying that when you’re in love, you don’t see the character flaws of the person you admire. and that’s unfortunately true. he was an angel in your eyes; you loved how smart he was and how he cared about his family and his friends. yeah. . .but nobody likes how lip was treating you and doesn’t give a shit about you.
his siblings especially fiona was heartbroken watching how his brother was treating you. and using your naïveté to everything that he wasn’t wanting to do, like: groceries, cleaning or taking care of liam on weekend. you were doing all of that, because you wanted him to pay attention to you and make a confession how important you were for him.
when you started to saw karen in gallagher’s house at first you thought that she was only a friend, but then you started seeing the shine in his eyes when he was looking at karen. he seemed so happy with her, happier than he ever was with you. even when you sleep with each other, he doesn’t have this kind of shine in eyes, he probably just like sex and the fact, that you have feelings for him.
·˚ ༘₊· ͟͟͞͞꒰➳ ⸻⸻⸻ ❝sometimes i look at myself in the mirror, wondering why i’m not enough, why every person i have met hurt my little heart. why i’m not pretty or interesting enough, wondering when it will be my turn to be happy.❞ ⸻⸻⸻ ✯
YOU were done. right now, you are sitting on Lip’s bed, waiting for him to get out of the bathroom. you wanted to confess how he made you feel about yourself. you didn’t remember a single night when you weren’t crying yourself to sleep, or thinking about philip. you've enough; you realize that you’re destroying yourself, and you need to say stop. you were disgusted with yourself for how easily you gave him permission to manipulate you with these sweet words of his. how stupid you were to believe that you finally have someone who cares about you.
because of your relationship with philip you weren’t able to look at yourself in the mirror without crying about how pathetic you are. you don’t understand why people are like that for you, i just wanted to be happy, you thought.
when you saw a tall man enter the room, you just sighed, and your eyes started to water.
“what are you doing here?” he said, looking strangely at you.
“you don’t care about me, do you?” he lifted his brows, clueless about what you were saying. “why you treat me like shit, like a fucking toy you like to use to do your duties, and you like to fuck sometimes?”
he just chuckled at you as you frowned. “why are you laughing at me?”
“you never say you don’t want to do all this, it’s not my fault you are stupid and do everything i said.” when you heard his words, you could not believe blind you were, to not see that lip was an asshole.
“i was doing all that shit because i fucking love you!” you shouted, and he just laughed again.
“y/n. . .i would never love someone like you, you are so pathetic, y/n” he said without emotion in his voice, doesn’t even look at you.
“i love you anyway.” it was everything you can say with tears in your eyes; you weren’t lying, though. you love him, even if he treated you like shit you know that he was the only person you truly admired. you were addicted to him.
“i don’t care”
“that’s fine,” you said, leaving the room, sobbing. you know that you will always be the other woman for everyone.
.・。.・゜✭・.・✫・゜・。.
sorry for any mistakes!!
thank you for attention:))

lip gallagher x northside OC (Daisy) summary: in which lip could never see himself falling for a girl from the northside
part one of ?
▮▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
warnings: swearing, smoking word count: 3098
▮▮▮▮▮▮▯▯▯▯▯▯▯▯
Lip had no idea why a girl from the northside attended a shitty public school in the southside. And quite frankly, he couldn't care less. He had enough shit going on in his life, he didn't need to add thinking about some entitled priss onto that list.  She smiled constantly, and never seemed to get upset or let the intimidating southside area scare her. She was a privileged girl, anyone would assume so, and for that reason, Lip decided that he didn't like her.
After all, "All northsiders are the same"
Lip had gone freshman and sophomore year without interacting with the girl once and so far, in junior year, he had maintained it. It wasn't like he was actively trying to ignore her. But he wasn't exactly displeased their paths had never met. All he knew of the girl was that she was from the northside and her name. Daisy.
And he planned to keep it that way. Lip didn't care for people, his friends at school consisted of his brother Ian and Mandy Milkovich. He was too good for all the other incompetent assholes in their school, so not knowing the northside priss didn't drastically affect him and his day.
That was until his plan got screwed over.

It wasn't a secret that Ian and Lip shared everything with each other, but there was one thing Ian didn't feel the need to mention. He and Daisy were friends. They don't know how it happened, but they were both late to their respective classes and had, quite literally, bumped into each other in the hall, which somehow resulted in a friendship.
However, although they had been friends for quite some time now, Ian didn't actually know that much about her, she was quite a private person.
Ian, Mandy and Lip were doing what they usually did at lunch, smoking in the boy's bathroom, laughing and spending the 30 minutes of learning free time they get together by chatting and not taking life seriously.
"Hey Lip, do you think you could do me a favour?" Ian asks, after the laughter that occurred after a joke that Lip had cracked died down.
"Depends what it is," The older boy replies, taking a long drag from his joint.
"I have this friend in your year, she needs help with chemistry,"
"What does she need?"
"An A, she's got a C at the moment."
"Who is it?"
"Daisy Bennett," Ian replied almost hesitantly, he wasn't ignorant to the rumours and opinions people held of his friend, and he didn't know Mandy's or Lip's view on the girl, all he had heard was Mandy mention she liked the girl's pristine black combat boots, Mandy's being a size too small and covered in scuffs and mud.
"Wait, Little Miss Priss? Why would you be friends with her?"
"Did she bribe you with her daddy's money?" Mandy piped in, smirking at the younger boy.
"No," Ian snapped back at them, "We just bumped into each other once and, I don't know we clicked, listen she's a nice girl and she needs some help with something, if you don't do it for her do it for me,"
Lip looked at his younger brother for a few moments, Ian never had that many friends, he got on with people, but he wouldn't call anyone, other than Lip and Mandy, his friends, so who knew what was so special about this girl. He was protective of his brother, and part of him just wanted to meet her so that he could make sure she wasn't going to hurt him.
"Fine whatever, tell her to be at ours at 6, also whatever I normally charge, she pays double,"
"What why?"
"She's from the northside Ian! I'm sure she could spare a few bucks to give to some southside lowlifes!"
Once Lip finishes speaking, the dull sound of the bell goes off, evident in its sound that it hasn't been fixed in years. The trio are quick to dispose of the evidence of them smoking before gathering their stuff and making their way out the bathroom, Ian helping Mandy down from the window still she was sitting on. Lip looked towards his brother one last time as he and Mandy walked away from the bathroom towards their respective classrooms, one thought on his mind.
What the hell am I getting myself into?

After a long and gruelling day, where the same old boring teachers, taught the same boring shit for yet another year, it was nearly time for Daisy to be at the Gallaghers. One thing that Daisy's dad was keen to get into her at a young age was being punctual, she regularly arrived early for things, and was never more than 3 minutes late. So here she was, walking up the steps to the Gallagher steps at 5:59.
Daisy was nervous about this study session, not just because she would be tutored by someone she had never met before, she had seen Lip around, but never actually spoken to him, she was also nervous because she had been told stories by Ian about his family and how crazy they can be. She both knew exactly and had no idea what to expect.
She hesitated a moment before knocking on the door, rocking back and forth on her heels slightly, holding her laptop, textbook and notebook close to her chest.
A few moments later, the door swings open, revealing a young, redheaded girl, who looked up at the older girl curiously.
This must be Debbie
"Who are you?" She asked, looking at the girl almost matching the older girl's stance.
"Uh hey, I'm Daisy," Daisy replies, smiling at the shorter girl, "Is Lip in?"
"Yeah, why?"
"Oh, he's helping me study,"
"Debbie who's at the door?" An older voice asks, coming up and standing behind the young Gallagher, this woman was a lot taller than her younger sister, she had on a grey striped top and had long brown hair that looked somewhere between half brushed and neatly put together.
Fiona
"Who are you?" Fiona asked, her tone changing slightly, looking Daisy up and down taking in her appearance. Daisy clearly stuck out like a sore thumb in this neighbourhood, her clothes were neat and put together, with a preppy, private school uniform feel around them. Daisy could tell that Fiona was judging her, she really wanted to be wanted by the Gallaghers, especially the matriarch Fiona, because without her approval, she'd never be allowed near her friend Ian again.
"Hey, I'm Daisy,  Lip's helping me with Chemistry."
"You're Ian's friend right?" Fiona said suspiciously, having heard the name Daisy thrown around by Ian occasionally, not remember much from what she heard, only that she was from the northside, but Fiona could guess that already.
"Yeah, I am, is he in?" Daisy answered, watching as Fiona gently pushed Debbie back into the house.
"No, he's at ROTC, so you're close huh?"
"Well- I guess, we don't have any classes together and he spends a lot of time with Lip and, oh what's her name," Dasiy takes a few seconds to think, "ah! Mandy Milkovich, but we do homework together in the library after school sometimes."
"Too good for Lip and Mandy then?" Fiona accused, she wasn't intentionally trying to make the girl uncomfortable, but she, like most Southsiders, didn't take kindly to northsiders showing up around their area, to anyone else, a northsider befriending a Southsider might be considered 'Charity work', and if this preppy priss thought that Ian was going to be charity work, she had another thing coming.
"Oh no, not at all, they actually seem pretty cool, I just assume I won't be welcome, people at school tend to not want me around," Daisy answered honestly, not even letting her smile falter.
At that moment, Fiona felt bad for the girl in front of her, in their short interaction, she seemed nice enough, Fiona had nothing to judge her for other than she was from the northside, and that wasn't a lot to go off of. But clearly, the others at school believed that was reason enough to completely isolate the girl.
"Ok, ok," Fiona muttered, turning her body so she was facing the inside of the house, "Lip! Your friend's here to study!" She yelled into the house, surely making everyone in the house jump.
After a few moments pass, the two girls hear the sound of heavy footsteps trudging down the stairs and towards them. Lip rounded the corner towards them, not looking particularly impressed, muttering something along the lines of 'she's not my friend' to Fiona.
He inhaled slightly before acknowledging Daisy, "Hey, come on in." He sighs, not even giving her a moment to reply before making his way into the house ahead of her as if he was trying to get away from her and get her off his tail as quickly as possible.
Fiona stepped aside, allowing Daisy to step out from the cold Chicago air to the slightly less cold Gallagher house, clearly, the heating was either broken or they had it down really low because of the bills.
Daisy quickly followed after Lip, who was already halfway up the stairs, not having time to acknowledge the others who were sitting on the living room couch. Daisy just managed to slip into the boy's bedroom after Lip, which was lucky on her part, because if she hadn't caught up as quickly as she did, Lip probably would have slammed the door in her face.
Lip knocked a few stuff off his desk, making room for the two of them as Daisy stood awkwardly in the middle of the room, still hugging her stuff close to her body, as she took in her surrounding. Their room wasn't small by any means, if one kid was living in it, then this room would actually be quite big, the thing is by the number of beds, there were clearly three people living in this room, who Daisy assumed was Lip, Ian and their little brother Carl, giving off the illusion that the room was much smaller than it actually was.
The room was messy as well, all the blankets were randomly bunched up on the beds, clothes were on the floor, and random papers were all over the desk under the cabin bed (which Dasiy assumed must be Lips due to the assortment of space posters and the generally 'smart kid' vibe said corner of the room gave off) but Lip was just carelessly shoving them into the already full drawer at the side of the desk.
There was another thing that Daisy's dad had drilled into her at a young age, neatness, especially if there was a guest, even if the guest wasn't even going to see her room! It still had to be spotless with not even a hair band on the floor. She had also been told how to be a polite guest and a polite host, but all it had really taught her was she was supposed to respect others as a given, whereas any respect for her had to be earned.
"Yo, just gonna stand there forever or do you actually wanna get shit done?" Lip asks, breaking Daisy's train of thought, making her realize that he was now sitting down at a 'clean' desk, staring at her expectantly.
"Yeah, sorry," she apologised, taking a seat next to him and putting her stuff down in a neat pile on the desk.
Lip grabs her notebook and starts flicking through it, Daisy honestly couldn't tell if he was even paying attention to anything in there, "So what's the quiz on?"
"Uh Section C of the textbook,"
"When's the quiz?"
"Two days"
"What don't you get?" Lip asks boredly, now flicking through her textbook to section C, seeing what he considered pretty easy content.
"Um, any of it?" Daisy says hesitantly, scratching the back of her neck slightly, dropping her gaze to the textbook when she notices the unimpressed look on Lip's face.
"Seriously? This shit is so simple!" Lip almost laughed.
"Yeah well not all subjects come naturally, I'm sure I can get there if maybe it was explained a different way, but Mr Gilbert refuses to explain it any other way because 'if you can't do it my way, maybe you're just destined to fail'," Daisy defends. She wasn't a dumb student at all, she excelled in subjects like English Literature and History. But there were some subjects like maths and science that she just couldn't do naturally and needed extra help with, luckily her maths teacher offered that, Mr Gilbert, however, did not.
"Whatever let's just go from the beginning and work our way through." Lip sighs, picking up two pens, handing one to her, before reading out the first paragraph of the textbook.

The two sixteen-year-olds had been studying for about an hour, Lip giving Daisy a few practice questions and using the time to get his old, tattered maths textbook out to do some work himself. Turns out, doing work with someone else in the room, who was also focused was actually a good study method.
"So," Lip said, deciding to spark a conversation with the other, his curiosity getting the better of him, "Daddy couldn't hire you your own private chemistry teacher?"
Daisy huffed in slight amusement, tapping her pen against her notebook as she tried to both focus on a conversation and figure out a particularly hard question that Lip had written, "Nope, he doesn't even know I'm failing,"
"Last time I check a C wasn't a fail, for someone who isn't good at chemistry naturally, it's decent"
"Not good enough for him," Daisy sighed, "Anything below an A is a failure in his eyes,"
"Shitty dad huh?" Lip asks, finally looking over at her.
"I guess yeah, he just wants me to do well" She replied shortly not giving Lip much more to go off of. Lip was normally good at reading people, but Daisy was difficult. He could now tell that her politeness was genuine, which surprised him, and also that she wasn't just using this study session as a way to sleep with him. This also surprised him, because he had had offers from other girls to study who would happen to have 'left their wallet at home' but repay him with a hummer.  Daisy wanted to study, despite clearly not enjoying the subject.
"How come you go to a shitty southside school then?" Lip asks after a few moments.
"Well my dad wanted me to go to some private school somewhere, didn't matter where he just wanted me to get the highest quality education, my grandma didn't want me too far away though, so she wanted me to go to a school in walking distance to her house, our school was the only one that was a 10-minute walk," Daisy answered.
"Your grandma lives in the southside?"
"For someone who doesn't like northside people, you seem to ask a lot of questions," Daisy says, looking up and smiling, finding herself looking right into his eyes. They were very pretty, she couldn't deny that.  She wouldn't deny that "It's getting late, I should go." She sighed gathering her stuff.
"Yeah, uhh, tell me how the test goes." Lip says, standing up and walking out of the room with her, unintentionally walking her to the door.
"Oh, so you care how I do?" Daisy teased, smiling at him with a smile that made a strange feeling happen in Lip's chest, one he didn't quite understand.
"I care, that my tutoring works, I could use the ego boost," Lip smirks.
"Ahh of course." Daisy shakes her head, reaching the door with him, "Oh um here!" She says, reaching into the pocket of her jacket, and pulling out a fifty-dollar bill.
"Oh no it's fine," Lip brushes off without even thinking about it, "I only charge thirty anyway, that's way too much"
"I know, Ian told me you'd charge me extra, wasn't expecting you to deny the money though, but I'm serious take it,"
"Listen maybe I'd take the thirty but fifty is too much."
Daisy rolled her eyes, and forced the note into his hand, "Thirty for the help, and twenty for a new maths textbook, yours looks like it will fall apart any moment," Daisy smiles, before rushing out of the house. Leaving Lip no room to argue.

Lip didn't know when in the day Daisy's test was, but it was now lunch and he was yet to see her, not that he wanted to. He just wanted to know if he wasted an hour of his evening for nothing or not.
He, Ian and Mandy were walking to their last classes of the day, all of their classes being in the same general direction, when Daisy appears from nowhere, tackling Lip into a giant bear hug, winding him for a split second. Ian and Mandy look at the pair wide-eyed, the girl's strange act also getting the attention of a few passing students.
In complete shock, Lip didn't have the time to process what she was doing before she spoke, "You are amazing!" She celebrates, pulling away from and smiling brightly at Lip as he desperately tries to ignore the pounding in his chest.
"I'm assuming this means you got a good score?" Lip asks, the trace of a smile on his face, trying not to give the wrong impression to Mandy and Ian, who were watching the interaction almost eagerly.
"I got a 91/100! Just scraped it! Honestly, Lip thank you so much!" Daisy said breathlessly, her bright smile refusing to leave her face.
"Yeah uh, no problem," Lip chuckled slightly, the dull tone of the bell going off, indicating that class was about to start, "Um, I'll see you around?"
"Yeah, definitely," Daisy blushes, offering Lip one last thank you before turning away and walking towards her class, a slight bounce in her step.
Lip was so in his own thoughts, that he didn't notice he was watching fondly after her, thinking about the strange girl that, he had to admit, piqued his interest.
"She's not too bad huh?" Ian smirked at his brother, breaking the older boy from his thoughts.
"Shut up," Lip scoffed, punching his brother as the trio started to walk to their classes again, not answering Ian out loud, but he couldn't even deny his own thoughts anymore;
Not bad at all Ian, she really is something... something good
