OC-Tober Prompt 4 : Friends and Family

I'm taking many liberties in interpreting the prompt for story exploration in my own way but I feel the need to blab about what's going on here.

- BIG RANTY BLURB AHEAD!!! -

Shreya moved to Kolkata for college and stayed on for work. I haven't decided yet where from (Sealdah? Maldah? Birbhum? Durgapur? 🤔) but barely has any family living in the same city as her. There's one aloof Jethu (uncle) but he's too old and definitely not someone a young person would hang out with much..... But she has two close friends from college and they often go to cafes together! Indian Coffee House was one of their main hangout spots in college since it was fairly closeby. They all have jobs now but their Indian Coffee House hangouts still happen!

Yes! Indian Coffee House! If you are from Kolkata or frequent Kolkata, you might recognize it! It's an iconic place! Now, I'm not from Kolkata but it is a city I've spent most of my holidays in (cause family lives there) and it is indeed special to me! I hope to highlight bits of Kolkata through Patal Inc but you'll always find something off. Like this spooky, glowy Indian Coffee House! Maybe a Petni or Shakchunni here and there. An Aleya just wandering about. A Nishi's shriek illustrated outta nowhere, etc. In other words, I'm also gonna use Patal Inc to basically bring out all the ghosts and creatures Bengali folk tales have. Familiar tales in familiar places for Bengalis and hopefully a fun little adventure for everyone!
