It probably won't win even round one because I'm the only person I know who has even heard of this book but.... Shakabaz from The Call to Shakabaz by Amy Wachspress which is about 4 siblings who get sent by their aunts and uncles to a magical world with a parrot named Bayard Rustin

I thought for sure we'd be able to find some other people for you...this book has 14 ratings on Goodreads...at least it's average rating is stellar! I've added it :)
