Hello everyone!
I'm back with another drawing
I don't know about anyone else but I was a veggietales girl I ABSOLUTELY Loved veggietales when I was little from the animation to silly songs with Larry
In this drawing I drew some of my favorite veggietale characters and scene, one of them being a scene from esther one when the king is almost crushed by a piano and he gets warned before he could get crushed
And he moves out of the way before the piano could crush him and then he turns to haman and is "why is there a piano on my cake?" 😂😂😂😂
I used to think that scene was so funny when I was little and still find it rather humorous now If you have never seen a episode of veggietales before I recommend you watch it
It's one of those nostalgic shows you can rewatch and have a very good time rewatching it
As you can also see I drew madame blueberry and one of my favorites rack shack and benny
I don't know if it's just me but for the longest time when I was I little I used to call the actual bible characters rack shack and benny until I was able to say their actual bible names 😂
For those who have never seen this episode of veggietales this story is kinda more of a kid friendly version of the actual story of shadrach meshach and abednego who are were thrown into a fiery furnace for refusing bowing down to the false god made of gold long story short the story of rack shack and benny was teaching you not to follow what others tell you to do what you know is right and what god and your parents taught you and to stand up when you know something is wrong.
It's a really cute story and has a really good message and song 🎶🎶
Now the madame blueberry is a story that is not in the bible but is still a cute story it's a story about being thankful and in the story madame blueberry is one of the richest vegetables but is a so unhappy hence her name BLUEberry she has all these material things but she is not happy she cries all the time she's just blue and has a full song about it anyway long story short she learns to be thankful for what she has and how to be thankful
Like a said very cute story and age appropriate for young kids who need to learn about being thankful for everything they have.... And it has a very catchy song 🎶🎶
And now for the last and final story which is the esther story which my favorite veggietale story it's a story about being brave no matter how scary it is to never be afraid to do what's right for god is with you in this story it is much like the bible story of esther but more kid friendly if you don't watch was any of the veggietale stories I've said I really recommend this one it's really cute and was my favorite veggietale when I was little and still is....
And it also a really catchy song 🎶🎶😂😂😂
Anyway that's all for now and as always
Til next time!! 👋👋

sometimes ill start talking about something i assume to be common knowledge from a culturally christian country and my raised-atheist girlfriend will just have no fucking clue what im talking about -- like the other day i was like "you know daniel in the lions' den?" and she responds "who in the what" then after explaining daniel in the lions den to her i was like "yknow theres A Few old testament stories that boil down to 'guy thrown into Death Room but Doesnt Die', like Shadrach Meshach and Abednego in the furnace" and she was like "okay now you're just saying made up words those cannot be real names"

The bible characters are pretty much always portrayed by veggies who are also like, normal characters. Like Alfred Asparagus played Jonah, Bob Larry and Junior Asparagus played Shadrach Meshach and Abednego, etc. In the op we have Petunia the rhubarb (iirc?) as Mary and Alfred Asparagus as Joseph, and the pea...I forget if there's ever actually been a baby pea character. Maybe in the later ones? Anyway...
But like, they're still portraying those figures, and having, say, some broccoli play Jesus is still portraying Jesus as a vegetable, you know? Even if it's not quite "in the Veggies' world Jesus was LITERALLY a head of broccoli" he's still being portrayed by one?
And even if that doesn't hold water, the whole point was Phil Vischer's mother objected to Jesus being portrayed by a vegetable in their show, so clearly she objected to it even within that context.
Now of course if the fiction is that Petunia, Archibald, and Baby Pea are in a pageant at Junior's school or something, then that's something else entirely...but it's also a bit unprecedented? But, yeah, I guess that would be a valid watsonian possibility.
merry christmas

Amazing Grace
Velinda Scott (West Virginia, USA)
"We were buried with him by baptism into death, so that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life." - Romans 6:4 (NRSVUE)
"John Newton was born in London, England, in 1725 to a Protestant mother and a father who was a ship captain. His mother died when he was almost seven years old, and as a boy he joined his father on his many voyages. John followed in his father’s footsteps and became a ship captain, working in the transatlantic slave trade. During a voyage home, a horrendous storm blew in, putting the ship’s crew and passengers in mortal danger. He prayed to God. The storm passed, and the ship was safe. John took this as a sign from God. It was a defining moment for him and inspired his faith. Gradually, he changed. He went on to become an ordained minister and abolitionist. He also wrote the words to the popular hymn “Amazing Grace.” John Newton was transformed by his faith.
In the Bible, King Nebuchadnezzar experienced a similar transformation. It took the miracle of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego surviving the furnace and his own wilderness experience (see Dan. 4:33-37) for Nebuchadnezzar to come to faith and truly believe in God. Like John and Nebuchadnezzar, we too can be transformed. Through Christ, we are all made new. When we spend time in God’s word and live in obedience to it, we can be made new." Be transformed by God into a new creature. One that supports others, one that represents Christ every day and one who desires for others to be blessed with this transformation.
Today's Prayer
"Miraculous God, thank you for guiding us and turning us into something new. In Jesus’ name." Amen.
Daniel 3:24-30
"'24 Then King Nebuchadnezzar jumped up in shock and said to his associates, “Didn’t we throw three men, bound, into the fire?” They answered the king, “Certainly, Your Majesty.” 25 He replied, “Look! I see four men, unbound, walking around inside the fire, and they aren’t hurt! And the fourth one looks like one of the gods.” 26 Nebuchadnezzar went near the opening of the furnace of flaming fire and said, “Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, servants of the Most High God, come out! Come here!” Then Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego came out of the fire. 27 The chief administrators, ministers, governors, and the king’s associates crowded around to look at them. The fire hadn’t done anything to them: their hair wasn’t singed; their garments looked the same as before; they didn’t even smell like fire! 28 Nebuchadnezzar declared: “May the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be praised! He sent his messenger to rescue his servants who trusted him. They ignored the king’s order, sacrificing their bodies, because they wouldn’t serve or worship any god but their God. 29 I now issue a decree to every people, nation, and language: whoever speaks disrespectfully about Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego’s God will be torn limb from limb and their house made a trash heap, because there is no other god who can rescue like this.” 30 Then the king made Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego prosperous in the province of Babylon."' We, too, worship the God of Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego; He will protect us even in terrible situations. We must keep that in mind, always. Bless you! Joe

The Season Of Preparation -
The recent Palisades and Altadena fires have a story to tell. You, and get this and take heed that God always gives us advance notice, cannot prepare for a disaster event, a personal trauma, emergency, or any other unforeseen events, during the event. The time of preparation is passed. Now it is response time, and in this time you depend on things to be in place that should have been discussed in the planning and preparation phase. Now obviously there have been many who don’t understand what it is to attend those meetings as when things are going well, some say or think, that there is no reason to get too worked up about this planning or preparation thing. Ha, yes and what has happened has happened and is the evidence that something is amiss.
Want a biblical example? Look, had Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, been tossed into the fiery furnace unprepared to meet the potential outcome, they would have perished. Oh, but you might say, yes Podcast Preacher but they would have been with God in Heaven. And I say, in advance of their prescribed time to be there, yes they would have. And but what would the cost have been insofar as their ministry being unfulfilled? The cities people would not have gotten saved, the decree that there is only One God to be worshipped would not have gone out. Their promotions in order that they could continue the work of God, would not have happened, and instead, a small crew in total bewilderment of such an event would have been pulled together to clean out the furnace: let’s get heated up on the thing.

links to my big writing projects
I have a lot of writing projects - fanfic and whatnot - and I like to post about them as if they're famous and already exist, so I figured it was time to compile a masterlist with tags to everything. Feel free to send me an ask about any of these because I'll gladly talk about them
~
[ STAR WARS ]
Adoption Magnet AU - AU where the Bad Batch try to adopt literally every single child they come across (okay it's mainly Hunter. Also Crosshair but he's in denial). Features characters from like, everything. Tag is #adoption magnet au and Ao3 link is here
The TAMverse - AU where Crosshair still had a chip in all of S1 and I gave Tech a love interest before the show did (Temara my beloveds). Currently not ongoing and doesn't have a tag, but a handful of fics posted are here
we're not falling into the deep end - Jedi Survivor post-canon fic that explores Cal and Kata's dynamic because wow MAN that dynamic is. something. Tag is #the survivor fic and Ao3 link is here
[ ORIGINAL STUFF ]
Space Ballet - my complicated brainchild masterpiece thingy where I take the plots of classical ballets and put them in a sci-fi/space fantasy setting. The overall tag is #space ballet but the more specific tags for each book are: #space nutcracker, #space sleeping beauty, and #space pirates
Sun and Moon - Rapunzel retelling with solar and lunar magic, pixies, and a found family brother-sister duo. Also Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are magical firefighters. The tag is #sun and moon
Little Mermaid Gets Adopted By Pirates - exactly what it sounds like. the tag is also #little mermaid gets adopted by pirates
The Pirate and The Queen - a pirate falls in love with a queen and keeps sneaking into her palace to see her, much to her extreme annoyance. It was inspired by a dream I had (which was largely inspired by The Queen of Attolia) and is probably one of the most fun projects I've worked on. The tag is #the pirate and the queen
#I think that's everything??#look at me being organized#lilies fanfics#adoption magnet au#the tamverse#the survivor fic#space ballet#sun and moon#little mermaid gets adopted by pirates#the pirate and the queen

Mattana Ministry
Welcomes You To:
Worship Program: 9 October 2024
Theme: Worship is my Weapon (5)
Scripture: Dan. 3:16-18 & John 16:33
Message:
We can all agree that none of us can escape troubles in this life.
One of the promises that is often overlooked is “in this life, you WILL have trouble” (John 16:33). Now that doesn’t seem like something we would look forward to, but the latter part of this verse gives us hope . . . “but take heart; I have overcome the world.”
So if Jesus has already overcome the world, then how are we to fight in times of trouble? We simply worship Him. This may not sound like the most effective weapon but be assured it is. See, the posture of worship is surrender. In the natural, surrender would be seen to be a sign of weakness. However, this is not about surrendering to our enemy; it’s about surrendering to our King. We must understand that the King we worship is far greater than anything that may come against us.
In Daniel chapter 3, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego are faced with trouble and have a decision to make. King Nebuchadnezzar told them that if they didn’t bow down and worship the idol he had made, they would be thrown into a blazing furnace. However, they responded, “We do not need to defend ourselves before you in this matter. If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve can deliver us from it, and He will deliver us from Your Majesty’s hand. But even if He does not, we want you to know, Your Majesty, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up.” As if they weren’t already facing trouble, the king decided to have the furnace heated seven times hotter than usual. Our worship will always be offensive to the enemy; it’s the boldest move we can make.
If we continue reading this story, we will discover that the very same soldiers that bound Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were consumed by the fire themselves. Not only that but also the Lord reveals Himself in the fire. Worship (the posture of surrender) will always bring God into our circumstances! This is the very thing that attracts Him, and as we worship Him, He fights on our behalf, and we get to partake in the victory!
Focus on the goodness of the Lord, worship Him, and He will fight for us! To live in His presence is to live in victory. Worship is our weapon!

Life and Death Are Not to Be Considered
Standing Firm in Faith When I think of the story of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, I’m reminded of the kind of faith that refuses to waver, no matter the cost. These three men were given a clear choice: bow to the golden image or face the fiery furnace. But for them, the decision wasn’t really a decision at all. Life or death wasn’t something they weighed against their obedience to God. They…

Defining Moments TGIF Today God Is First Volume 1 by Os Hillman
08/30/2024
"As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. "Acts 9:3 For Moses, it was the burning bush. For Peter, it was walking on water. For Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, it was walking through the burning furnace untouched. For Paul, it was being blinded and spoken to by Jesus on the Damascus road. For Daniel, it was deliverance from the lions' den. For Joshua, it was parting the Jordan River and crossing into the Promised Land. There have been many defining moments in the lives of human beings that changed their lives forever. These defining moments often set the course for the balance of their lives. We could go on and on. Each of these servants had years of preparation leading up to their defining moment. These moments forced the servants to be involved in something beyond their human experiences. It took them outside their own paradigms of life. God had to move them outside their own boxes. And when He did, their lives were never the same. You may be in one of three stages of life: You may not have had your "defining moment" yet - God may be preparing you with many important life experiences. You may have had your defining moment and you are living out your call. Or, you may be toward the end of your journey and you have already experienced what I speak of. We are all called to a relationship with God; and we are all called vocationally, which is often ushered in by a defining moment. And there can be more than one defining moment, each pointing you down a path that God foreordained from the foundation of the world. The secret of a great life is often a man's ability to discern the defining moments given to him, understanding them, and learning to walk in the path that leads him to his ultimate destination. Once you have had a defining moment, you are never the same. Pray that you have eyes to see and ears to hear when your Master brings a defining moment into your life.

Faithful In The Flames Of Persecution | Daniel 3:19-23
GET THE BOOK: Daniel: A Strong Man Is Faithful here https://amzn.to/3ToZqOk
Do you sense the persecution is heating up?
Then Nebuchadnezzar was filled with fury, and the expression of his face was changed against Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army to bind Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. Then these men were bound in their cloaks, their tunics, their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace. Because the king's order was urgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell bound into the burning fiery furnace. — Daniel 3:19-23
I doubt that you and I will experience something like this during our lifetime. I could be wrong, but I think there's almost no chance.
Yet, we'll all encounter immensely hot moments in our lives—moments when we feel powerless and overcome by someone who has the upper hand. This could happen on the job, at home, or in the courtroom. It might happen before a boss, a spouse, or a leader. But let’s realize that most of the time, this happens when we've done something wrong.
But that is not the situation here. This fiery test had nothing to do with sin. These men never sin against God. Instead, they stood up for God, which demanded taking a stand against a king who proclaimed to be a god. These men chose to do what was right and righteous and were suffering for it at the hands of a cruel, self-righteous, and angry man.
Now that we might experience.
At some point, every one of us suffers for doing what is right and righteous in this life. We will suffer the fury of our Nebuchadnezzar. At present, this could be happening to you. If so, you shouldn't back down, especially if you have done what is right and have been righteous. Instead, this moment could be your moment. It is a time for increased faith in God, who is taking you to the edge of the flame. It's only here at the edge of the flame that the possibilities of natural solutions are entirely removed. These moments require more faith and more resistance to evil, but in the end, they result in a more glorious and supernatural work of God.
So, if things are heating up in your life right now, hold on in faith longer. Stand up for God and against evil. God might be waiting to provide a supernatural solution revealed through you that turns the powers and people toward him.
God, give those men whose lives are standing at the edge of the flame greater faith. Strengthen the Spirit within them so that they pay attention to every action and every word. May they be right and righteous in every way. In Jesus’s name, amen.
Check out this episode!

divine disobience "if it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men." rom 12:18 that's exactly what the world wants us to do. they want us to conform to their newly adapted form of the truth. but that's not what God tells us to do. He says, "if it is possible." bend where possible, but not to denial of the truth. we really do live in an age of compromise, don’t we? and many are willing. we see it in the world of politics where shady deals are made behind closed doors which basically amount to one politician saying to another, “you scratch my back and i’ll scratch yours.” we see it in our schools today where according to surveys conducted in recent years cheating by students has become commonplace, even among the most gifted of students. we see it in many marriages today where couples compromise or surrender the vows they made to one another on their wedding day by bailing out at the first hint of disharmony or dissatisfaction. we see it in the business world, our legal system, and even in many churches where pastors and laypeople and entire denominations have compromised their belief in the bible as the true, inspired, and inerrant word of God and instead try to make it fit with our culture rather than vice versa. so with all this compromise going on all around us, the question is how can we who are christians live an uncompromising life of total allegiance and commitment to our Savior Jesus Christ in the midst of such a compromising culture? that’s what i want to talk to you about today. and the first point that i want to make today is this: we need to recognize that compromising one’s relationship with the Lord never – and i mean never – produces lasting positive results. and just to drive that point home to us and make it as clear as possible, God has provided us with a whole multitude of examples in the bible that illustrate this truth. adam and eve, aaron with the golden calf, samson lost his strength, his sight, and ultimately his life. david compromised God’s moral standards, peter compromised his self-proclaimed love for Christ, denying Him three times, judas compromised three years of discipleship with Jesus and lost his eternal home in heaven. and on and on it goes. we have examples also of the uncompromising. i think of daniel who was delivered by God from a den of hungry lions for his uncompromising refusal to stop praying to the God of Israel when he was ordered to do so. or what about his 3 contemporaries: today – shadrach, meshach, and abednego. they ended up tossed into the hottest of furnaces, and got to walk there with the living God. would that not be an experience to testify about? and that takes us to the final point that i want to talk about this morning, and that is: we should live an uncompromising life not out of a desire to get something back from God or because by so doing we’re hoping to somehow earn salvation for ourselves, for the Bible makes it abundantly clear that no person can be saved through their own works and efforts. we live an uncompromising life out of nothing but pure love, gratitude, and appreciation for all that our Savior Jesus did for us because, you see, He never once compromised, He never once wavered, He never once faltered in His allegiance to us and the plan of salvation that His Father had sent Him to this earth to carry out on our behalf. Jesus resolutely endured all He knew lay before Him in Jerusalem... the beatings and scourgings, the betrayals and denials by his closest companions, the cross and the nails, the rejection and humiliation, the cold dark tomb. in spite of knowing all of that, He still set out to go there and face it head-on because that’s what He had been sent into this world to do for you and for me. and you know what, my friends? because He did that for us, because He willingly sacrificed himself in our place on the cross to pay for our sins, we can now find forgiveness for all those times that we have failed to live an uncompromising life in the midst of a compromising world.
