Flourish AU
Me, looking back at the Replanted AU after posting the recent Unpaid Babysitting update: Yishan needed better parents. Also, I wish I could incorporate Shanzha and RinRin into the Sundown Era AU without more dimension shenanigans.
Me:
Me: Wait -
And so, this AU came to be. Say hello to Iceflower's Son!Yishan, everyone. He's here to bring Shanzha and RinRin into the Sundown Era AU, grow up better than he could've been, create a myth or two, and - most importantly - father Yue, Louhou, and Jidu so all four Celestial Primates can have grandbabies to spoil.
Background: The Land of Eternal Snow still doesn't exist in the Sundown Era AU. Shanzha and RinRin are also nowhere in China during the Rebellion against Heaven. Why? Because they're in Goryeo (Korea) and Nippon (Japan), respectively, making a name for themselves. After inheriting the powers of the Celestial Primates and shaking up their respective pantheons, they headed over to China to retire together since one of their own ascended as Jade Emperor.
In one another life, Yishan was the firstborn son of a prestigious clan who grew up viewing almost everyone as his enemy. In this one, he was the son of legends posing as common herbalists living in the mountains.
What does a more well adjusted and untraumatized child Yishan look like? Well, he has more friends growing up. And when I mean friends, I mean animals. He likes animals more than people. He also has a habit of bringing home wounded animals for Shanzha to treat. (He begs to keep them every time but his moms keep telling him no.) He’s also incurably blunt and judgy - even to his mothers.
Shanzha makes sure to train her son in healing and martial arts while RinRin teaches him how to socialize and act. These are very necessary lessons since Yishan tends to piss off a lot of people just by being himself.
(Despite being raised by Shanzha and RinRin, there are some things about Yishan that stays the same lmao.)
Yishan ends up being a nerd over medicine and poisons. As for his social skills, he technically knows what to do in theory but doesn’t bother to extend the effort towards those he considers stupid.
As a late teen, Yishan became a traveling doctor so he could leave the nest and explore the world.
While Yishan heals people and battles against stupidity (and make more animal friends), he gains a reputation for being an amazing healer with the worst bedside manner. He also beat up a couple of powerful yaoguai because either 1) they were in the way of a key ingredient of a medical breakthrough or 2) he pissed them off first.
During his travels, Yishan meets and makes his first non-animal friend: a soldier named Mensheng. He turns down the offer to serve the soldier’s Ivory Lady and continues his journey.
Eventually, Yishan is kidnapped invited to the Celestial Realm by some very pushy attendants (one of whom he gives a nasty black eye) so he could become Laozi’s new apprentice.
Despite Yishan kicking and screaming through the entire process, he ends up being Laozi’s favorite. The man wouldn’t let him go.
Yishan frequently conspires with Laozi’s Bull to break out. They fail every time. The only reason why Yishan wasn’t as successful in leaving was because of the cool shiny new medicinal plants Laozi kept waving in front of his face.
Then, Yishan was tasked to assist Laozi in checking up on the health of the Princess of the Celestial Realm and acting ruler of Flower Fruit Mountain.
"Princess?" All of you are probably asking. Yup, Wukong and Macaque did end up having one (1) kid and it's Sangshen. Because of an attempted poisoning incident, she came out weak and sickly. Sangshen is adored by her parents but is seen as a disappointment to the Celestial Court (since she's female, weak, and takes after Macaque), so she prefers to stay in FFM.
Still, because of her poor health, Wukong would frequently send Laozi down to check up on her. At this point, Laozi spends more of his time at FFM than in the Celestial Realm. He even has his own room and lab there.
Laozi's plan was to drop Yishan off to FFM and take over in keeping tabs on Sangshen's health.
When Yishan first laid eyes on Sangshen, he was a complete goner. It was love at first sight. As for Sangshen, she fell slower, but no less harder. Yishan was so considerate and charming and devoted that she couldn't help but develop feelings. (Everyone else who knows him: Are we talking about the same Yishan?!?!)
Yishan being Yishan beings ridiculously rare and hard-to-obtain stuff to shower Sangshen with. With his attention (and daily offering of super rare medicine), her health improves by leagues.
Sangshen eventually breaks it to Yishan that he probably shouldn't be courting her since her parents would kill him where he stands if they caught wind of this. Her parents established pretty early that they wouldn't let anyone marry her unless they lasted 15 min in a battle against both of them.
Instead of being deterred, Yishan takes this challenge and asks for some PTO to visit Shanzha and RinRin.
Yishan: Hey moms, how do I stay alive in a spar against the Emperor and Empress of the Universe? Shanzha: What RinRin: What happened to "hi"? Also, wtf Yishan: I'm in love and it's the only way I can get permission to marry her
*Cue intense training montage*
After training his tail off, Yishan presents himself to the Emperor and Empress as a suitor for their daughter's hand. They are less than pleased and put him through the wringer for daring to ask. They beat him to the ground.
And yet, Yishan lasts for 30 minutes. So, after recovering, Yishan happily accepts the begrudging permission of his future in-laws and heads down to FFM to tell Sangshen the good news.
FFM: You mad bastard, you actually did it. Yishan: Obviously. If I didn't, Sangshen would cry and that's unforgivable.
Yishan wasted no time in proposing and Sangshen wasted no time in accepting. A wedding was then arranged in the Celestial Realm and Yishan's mothers were invited. Shanzha and RinRin come, of course.
An official freaks out at seeing Shanzha since he recognizes her as the Godslayer who wiped out the entire court of Korean Primordial Gods.
Another official flips his lid when he recognizes RinRin as the Trickster who swindled him during his time abroad in Japan.
When Shanzha and RinRin's identities as Celestial Primates come to light, the entire Celestial Court is filled with dread. Oh no, there's FOUR of them now.
Shanzha and RinRin get along with Wukong and Macaque like a house on fire. They trade unhinged stories of their youth and make plans to hang out. Shanzha jokingly offers to take out any Celestial who annoys Wukong too much. Wukong takes this offer very seriously, making many of his ministers sweat.
Yishan and Sangshen get married and spend many years of wedded bliss before Sangshen announces that she's pregnant.
Say hello to Yue~
This cutie pie made Wukong cry. At first, he was a little disappointed to see that she took mostly after Yishan's side of the family. Then, she sneezed and lo and behold, six ears popped out. Yishan had to fight with his father-in-law to get his daughter back.
Wukong wasn't any better when Louhou and Jidu were born. He might've been reluctant to be a father, but he took to being a grandfather like a duck to water.
Shadowpeach would squabble with Iceflower for grandbaby time. In the end, Iceflower simply moved into the Celestial Realm so all of them could have grandbaby time.
Extra Facts about Iceflower:
Shanzha used to be a devotee of the Primordial Korean gods. An event shattered her faith and took away everything she's ever cared about. Eyes opened to their cruelty, Shanzha started her quest in wiping them all out. Shanzha trained under the Long-Armed Gibbon as the Celestial Primate was sympathetic to her circumstances. She's very much inspired by Kratos as she was very unhinged during this period of life.
RinRin, on the other hand, was a pet monkey of a daughter of a samurai who evolved into a yokai after a tragedy. She sowed discord as a shapeshifter until she was killed by an angry god. The Red Buttocked Baboon found her in the Japanese Underworld and found her amusing enough to be his successor. RinRin then proceeded to cheat death, harass Japanese deities, and become a Loki-like figure.
Shanzha, born as “Nari” (Lily), renamed herself after a Chinese Hawthorn fruit usually used for medicine solely to outsmart a god who could cut a life short by calling out their name three times. The new name kept the god guessing long enough for her to shoot them down. Since it helped her keep her life, she ended up keeping the name.
Since RinRin had many names and faces during her time as a trickster spirit/deity, she was much more attached to her true name. Fun fact: Her name means “dignified bell” in Japanese.

What would have changed if yue had played all the routes before she died
A lot. It would have changed A LOT.
Like, for one, Yue would know EXACTLY who she was related to the moment she saw that Sangshen had six ears. And when Sangshen told Yue about her tragic backstory and her dead little brother? Well, Yue did some scheming to make Sangshen aware of a certain six-eared warrior serving the infamous Monkey King.
And, just like that, the Zodiac Monkey Clan reached out to Flower Fruit Mountain requesting the Six-eared Macaque to visit his sister. Wukong came too. While neither was very impressed by the Clan, they both adored Sangshen and Yue. They were also friendly with Shanzha (literally the only decent person in the clan and a fellow Yue enthusiast). The timing also had them cross paths with the Red-Buttocked Baboon and the Long-Armed Gibbon, who were watching after Yue.
Wukong and Macaque would play an active role in Yue's life, even bringing her over to FFM with them for a visit (at Yishan's insistence.) During this period, Yue would play matchmaker. Even though the two were friendly with her Aunt Shanzha, she couldn't risk any chances. So the Truth Route HAD to be triggered.
Sangshen passes away like in canon unfortunately. She leaves Yue in Macaque’s care since there’s no way she’s leaving her in Yishan’s. Macaque carried her all the way home after the funeral and Wukong welcomed them home with open arms. It was bittersweet.
Not long after Yue left for FFM permanently, RinRin was pulled out of Diyu by Shanzha. It was love at first sight for the both of them. Since she heard Macaque complain about her, Shanzha recognized RinRin instantly and made arrangements to get her back home. At the meantime, they had this cute little whirlwind romance/situationship filled with looks of longing and almost kisses. Then, Shanzha let her go back to FFM and remained in LoES.
You’d expect some drama but no, there wasn’t. RinRin kinda breaks up with Wukong point blank the moment she returned and all but tells him to kiss Macaque already (he does). Then, she goes and mopes in a hut. She only comes out whenever Shanzha visits Yue (and her) every year. They pine and flirt and sigh after each other. Iceflower becomes Shadowpeach 2.0 and it drives FFM crazy.
When the Otome Game story rolls around, Shanzha ends up being the bride but everyone is significantly more chill about it.
Wukong: Look, I don't know what Heaven is scheming but - Oh hai, it's you. You're a bit early in your annual visit to see Yue.
Shanzha, tied up and in a wedding dress: Believe me, if this was planned I'd be here with presents.
Since Heaven states that Shanzha was a bride for the ruler of FFM (a fact Yue points out), RinRin takes the chance to reclaim her previous Queen status solely to snatch Shanzha from the palanquin and run off with her.
RinRin, cackling like a gremlin: Wife, wife, wife!
Not to be outdone, Wukong proposes to Macaque and suggests a Spring Wedding.
Some drama with Azure happens later but that’s not important. (Or is it?)

Replanted AU
Summary: To Yishan, Sangshen is everything. So, when the doctor said that the winter weather of LoES would weaken his beloved and make her pregnancy harder than it should be, he packed his bags, left behind his title as Clan Heir, and moved somewhere warmer. It ends up being FFM.
Or: Yishan moves out of his parents' house and gets a job. Sangshen lives and reunites with her long-lost brother. Yue ends up with five parents and one annoying guy who loves her Mama very much.
Some things about this AU:
Just to preface: Yishan has little to no character development. He remains his wife-obsessed asshole self throughout the entire AU. He has no paternal bone in his body and never develops one.
Moving to the exact island where Sangshen's little brother lived was by complete accident. Yishan just wanted to take her there since he heard it was paradise.
The entire reunion was tearjerking. Macaque has a family who never stopped loving him and Sangshen got her brother back.
Wukong and Macaque were there at Yue's birth and were one of the first people to hold her (Yishan wasn't interested.) They adored her immediately and Macaque cried when he's told she was named after him.
Yishan got to have an official wedding with Sangshen and make her his legal wife like he's always wanted. She made a beautiful bride.
As a citizen of FFM and not Clan Heir, Yishan needed to pull his own weight to provide for his family. Thankfully, because he was Clan Heir, he had skills that put him under Liu's command.
Surprisingly enough, Liu manages to get through Yishan's difficult personality and becomes his first and only friend. (No, in-laws and their not-yet-lover/king don't count.) They have this bromance thing going on, though Sangshen still lingers in 90% of Yishan's thoughts. But Liu has the honor of having a consistent 5%.
Yishan eventually chills enough to form healthy(?) relationships outside of his wife. He also provides for his daughter. Just not emotionally, which is fine since Yue is loved enough already by literally everyone else.
Yishan and Beng butt heads a lot. Actually, Yishan gets under almost everyone's skin because his personality is terrible to everyone except Sangshen. FFM eventually just accepts Yishan having a rancid personality. That's Yishan.
To the shock of everyone, Yishan was the one to get Shadowpeach together. And then, everyone ended up not being as surprised when it turned out that his agenda was to have Wukong and Macaque distract each other to cut down on time his wife's attention is away from him. Yishan is well known for getting the impossible done for the sake of his wife's time and love.
Trade agreements, alliances, battles - all end up successful when placed in Yishan's hands as long as it has something to do with his wife. He makes it happen.
Yishan can also be charismatic and friendly to outsiders and/or enemies in order to manipulate them. Does it often while he's on the job. FFM as a whole was thrown in a loop the first time it happened. They were all like: who??? r u????? Where's our rancid wife-obsessed monkey????
Yishan hates Azure. Yishan knows himself. He embraces it. But another person like him? In HIS slice of heaven? Threatening HIS wife’s little brother’s love life? Hahaha, no. Sangshen already planned out the wedding gifts and is making the wedding veil. No way.
Yishan has HUGE beef with Peng, which started after they accused Macaque of begetting a child with Yishan (The Brotherhood hadn’t met Sangshen yet and believes she’s fake lol). How DARE they accuse him of sleeping with anyone other than his wife?!?
Shanzha is still sent over as a bride at some point. Heaven express-shipped Yishan's little sister. She isn't received with suspicion. Instead, it's with pity since they knew how much LoES messed Yishan up by then. Sangshen is happy to see her again. Yishan wants the gift receipt to return her but reconsiders when he realizes that she can be another babysitter (more undisturbed time with wife).
The one and only time Yishan does the impossible for anyone other than his wife is for Liu. He somehow manages to pull RinRin from Diyu by employing the help of the Red-Buttocked Baboon (and the Long-Armed Gibbon is there too). Whoops, accidentally acquired a girlfriend for his sister. Well, at least she's distracted now too. And Yue gets another babysitter.
Honestly, Yishan makes a happy ending happen with his own hands soley so everyone would leave him and his wife alone to spend together. That's it. That's the plot.
Extra Fun Fact: Yishan spends every Spring Season wooing Sangshen as if they were unmated monkeys. Say what you want about him, but this man loves his wife.

Au where spirit macaque clan never fell and macaque and sangshen are raised as royalty/clan heirs
Well, Sangshen and Yishan’s meeting would be completely different and Yishan would be the one marrying out of the clan if he ever successfully pursued her since Sangshen is the heir. (Macaque ran away from home to travel and fell in love with Wukong and stayed in FFM. Their relationship is uncertain.)
Macaque’s identity as “Prince Yue” would be a surprise to FFM the first time he left to visit home. Little Yue was born and Sangshen wanted him to meet his niece. Wukong came along and found himself not so subtly bullied into proposing to Macaque.

I don't know how this would happen, maybe sangshen and yishan never met, maybe yishan died instead of her, but au where wukong's celestial bride is sangshen.
OOOOOOh this would be so awkward for Wukong who looks at the black fur and six ears on his bride and blue screens. He can’t treat Sangshen cruelly when she looks so much like Macaque. Macaque, in turn, wouldn’t be able to hate his long lost sister as easily, especially with how overjoyed she was at his survival.
I’d say that for this to happen, Sangshen would have to be a widower. Yue would still exist as the clan would need a bargaining chip so Sangshen would be the bride. She would definitely beg for FFM to save her daughter (and Shanzha). Due to the timing, Sangshen wouldn’t have much time alive anyway so would live the rest of her life quietly as Wukong’s wife by name. She would raise Yue and shower Macaque with all the love she missed out on giving until her final breath.
FFM would mourn their second Queen.

Who do you think Yue calls her parent first? (Like Baba for Wukong, etc.) She has to call them that for publicity purposes once the bio kid rumor starts, but which one would she genuinely start referring to her parent first?
I’ve been kinda wondering what she’d call Macaque too; she has her Mama, and I want sure if she’d call Mac the same thing or come up with his own parent title to use
Even with the kid rumor being passed around, Yue calls Wukong and Macaque by their formal titles. Since it's established pretty early on that she's a stickler for addressing people by their correct titles no matter her opinion of them, it's not suspicious. (It's actually pretty cute how "grown-up" she's trying very hard to be, according to many.)
Eventually, though, Yue slips up and calls Wukong "Baba" in public. It's super embarassing for her. She insists it's a freudian slip and tries very hard to ignore it in hopes that everyone would forget it. Wukong doesn't let her live it down and makes it an official law that Yue has to call him "Baba" from that moment forward. The penalty for not following this? Cut down library time. (The absolute horror how dare he.)
It's a little more complicated with Macaque. Since Yue already had a "Mama," it's hard for her to call anyone else by that title without feeling extremely guilty or feeling sick. It's doubled when it comes to Macaque since he shares a lot of traits with Sangshen. Eventually, she does call Macaque "Mama" after properly processing her grief and issues.
(Peng once tried to pressure Yue to "practice" being more casual with Macaque and calling him "Mama" and using Azure as a stand-in. They absolutely had no ulterior motive, not at all. It horribly backfired when Yue threw up on Azure's feet.)

What's yishan and sangshen relationship to their in laws (in the normal au and the one where yishan keeps losing)
Sangshen's relationship with her in-laws stays the same in either scenario. She admires Shanzha and RinRin and strives to keep a good relationship with them. Shanzha thinks she's darling and RinRin likes her enough to comfortably tease her.
As for Yishan, in the normal route, he is distantly polite to his in-laws out of respect for Sangshen. He also turns to them to babysit his kids whenever he and Sangshen need time for themselves. Shadowpeach, in turn, reluctantly sees him as worthy since he managed to last two times longer than the goal but aren't exactly happy that their little girl is married. The grandbabies are cute tho, so they guess Yishan is useful for something. That, and the fact that his moms are cool too.
In the losing route, Yishan is - ironically - significantly more fond of Shadowpeach and more invested in dropping into the Celestial Realm and bothering them. It's kind of a tradition (for him) at this point. Meanwhile, Shadowpeach sees Yishan as this mangy porch cat-cockroach who they're reluctantly-maybe-sorta-kinda got used to. Might even feed occasionally. They're resigned to him staying forever at this point.

What would happen if yishan lost? I don't think shadowpeach would kill their daughter's beloved (but maybe they would? Sundown shadowpeach aren't nice, and it's not like they know his parents would wreck them in retaliation), but also I don't think losing would stop yishan's love and devotion
Oh, SD!Shadowpeach would kill Yishan dead and Sangshen would cry. Then, RinRin would saunter down to Diyu and bring her dumb son back to life so he could try again.
SD Shadowpeach: Why. Won't. You. Stay. DEAD? Yishan: Because of the power of love SD Shadowpeach: BULLSHIT!

I left this question on QOTM in the comments on AO3, I left it in Chapter 1, but I didn't really thought much about it. What if there's an AU where Yue was abandoned as a (sorta) newborn on FFM? Like, either her father, out of jealousy, decided to leave her there, or acting on her mother's wishes to protect Yue, Shanzha breaks through the wards, leaves Yue in a basket and runs off before she was caught. How would that work?
Who will be the one to find her? One of the Generals? A soldier? Wukong himself? And if someone does find her, perhaps they find a note by Yue's mother asking for Yue to be cared for, while also saying that her father's clan will most likely be cruel to her? If a soldier or one of the Generals find her and bring her to Wukong (and possibly Macaque?), how would Wukong react to baby!Yue? What about Macaque? Would they adopt her?
Who knows, but I'll admit that I'm especially curious how would the Brotherhood would react, especially DBK, PIF and Red Son when she's slightly older. Speaking of, how different would Yue be like if she was raised by Wukong on FFM?
Oh wow, I must've missed this one! Well, it's a good thing I'll answer this here!
(More below)
So, I can't imagine a likely scenario where Shanzha just up and leaves Yue at FFM's doorstep. Come over there with Yue? Yes. Leave her there and go back to LoES? Very not likely. Also, Yishen would've rather dropped Yue off a cliff instead of going through the effort of safely leaving her at an island paradise.
The best scenario I can come up with would be Sangshen, knowing that she didn't have much time left in the world and not trusting the Zodiac Clan at all, taking the initiative to send Yue away somewhere safe with the help of some artifact. Maybe some one-way transportation circle type thing. Either way, baby Yue ends up on FFM's figurative doorstep with a blanket, a milk bottle, and a note.
It's Beng who finds her. As he is in charge of patrolling the kingdom's borders and being a father himself, he was able to recognize the faint cries of a baby monkey even as the sounds of the forest almost completely drowned out her voice.
Yue's six ears almost immediately gain the General's attention and she's brought over to Macaque. Everyone by that point is convinced that Yue is his. While insistent that he's NOT the father, he still takes her as his own and accepts single fatherhood.
(Lol not on Wukong's watch.)
Wukong is super curious and definitely not-at all jealous about Macaque procreating without him involved, so he comes to meet the baby.
It's love at first sight. Baby Yue is so, so cute. Her little nose scrunches up so adorably. Everything comes out of her mouth in chirps and squeaks. Her ears were darling. And she looks so much like Macaque! Wukong eagerly helps out with child-rearing (since he's such a good friend) and unofficially takes the role of another father. They're both so disgustingly domestic.
All of FFM would hear about Yue's achievements and everything she did would be hot news. She grabbed Wukong's finger! She ate her solid foods for the first time! She's babbling! She's crawling! She's-
You get the point. Wukong even commissioned artists to make multiple paintings of her.
The Brotherhood would be far less antagonistic and threatening in this scenario though Azure would be salty as hell to see Shadowpeach live the domestic dream without actually being married. Yellowtusk would congratulate the new parents and look to Yue very fondly. Peng would be ambivalent.
The Demon Bull Family would react very differently. DBK would cry and hold bb!Yue so tenderly. She's so tiny! And PIF would spoil her with all the baby toys and clothes. Red Son would think she's pretty useless and boring at first but that changes as she grows.
Yue in this scenario would still grow up to be endlessly curious and super responsible, but she's also less tense and paranoid. She's a bit cheeky too. She would be so loved and so happy.
(Shanzha and RinRin would come to FFM for sanctuary one day but that would be another story...)

Would shadowpeach kill yishan again and again until he won or would they not due to sangshen tears. Cause I'm imagining a cycle until either yishan parents roll up to the celestia realm or sangshen threatens to run away with yishan (but until then the challenges are so typical it's put on a schedule even if yishan doesn't announce he's coming)
SD!Shadowpeach would go through the five stages of grief when it concerns Yishan's miraculous return from the dead and consistent return to ask for their blessing. By the time acceptance hits, the Mortal Realm already established an annual festival about Yishan cycling from the Mortal Realm to the Celestial Realm to Diyu and back to the Mortal Realm again. All in the name of love. SD!Shadowpeach could've just given up and given their blessing and be done with it, but it's the principle, dammit.
As for Iceflower, they have no reason to storm the Celestial Realm. Yishan is a big boy. They'd just fish out their son from Diyu, slap on some bandages, and sit back and laugh as he tries again.

Azure would probably try to get yishan to join his coup, subtly just seeing if he would, and be bewildered by yishan being fond of the people that regularly murder him. Just yesterday azure saw wukong pull out his eyes and macaque skinning him. And yishan is "yeah. Any idea what they did with my pelt?"
Azure is barking up the wrong tree. Yishan is very unconventional when it comes with bonding with certain people. He really feels like he and his future in-laws got to know each other. They certainly know him more intimately than even Sangshen and his own parents. No one else has seen the insides of his body.
Yishan is also very moved when he hears that his many, many bodies act as fertilizer for the peach groves that Wukong eats from. That’s another level of closeness right there.
SD!Shadowpeach: Stop making this weird

I know this wouldn't happen but since 1 day in the celestial realm is 1 day down there-
Yishan attempt #125: before you kill me, I want to say congrats! You're grandparents!
Honestly? Sangshen would be so tired of how long it's taking Yishan and how stubborn her parents are that she'd take matters into her own hands. In between Yishan's battles against SD!Shadowpeach, Sangshen would be waiting for him in a wedding dress.
What could Yishan do at that point? Say no?!?! Like hell. So Yishan gets married before heading off for his next attempt. Yishan always makes sure to spend time with his wonderful wife in between dying from then on. It's only a surprise to him when Sangshen tells him that she's pregnant.
After hearing this news from Yishan, SD!Shadowpeach would kill Yishan dead harder than their previous attempts before fetching their pregnant daughter. Now Yishan has to win so he can see his family.
And he does. Just in time to be there when Yue was born.

Sangshen: 🥰🤰
Sangshen is a girlie who’s here for the ✨drama✨ She even timed the reveal after Yishan was murdered for dramatic effect (and because she knows what her parents would do to him if he was still alive for the reveal.

"Yishan was the one to get Shadowpeach together." you cant just say that and not elaborate. Was he blunt "you two are in love" or used his diplomatic skill/subtle manipulation
Yishan: I don't understand you, Wukong. How are you taking so long to court my brother in law? That man is gorgeous I'm surprised he hasn't been snatched up already. I certainly had to make my wife off limits as quick and clear as possible back in my clan.
Wukong: (splutters) You-! I-! We’re just-!
Yishan: (shrugs and starts inspecting his nails) It’s none of my business in the end, though I’m a bit worried about the love potioning attempts that might come his way without a strong suitor’s claim to deter them.
Wukong:
Wukong: 👀 💢 The. What.
Yishan: (gleefully spills all the ways Macaque’s hypothetical line of suitors would try to get his attention - they’re all horrifyingly true, he had to block many attempts from reaching Sangshen)
And, lo and behold, Shadowpeach is suddenly canon only three days later. Sangshen is over the moon and Yishan happily spends more time with his wife now that the pests, ahem, his in-laws are too busy with each other to visit.

I know Shanzha would be THRILLED to be an aunt to the twins; her beloved baby brother and beloved brother in law + her sweet sister-in-law and her wife having kids?? She’s over the moon!
It’s only enhanced by her sweet baby Yue getting to be a big sister, and a excellent one at that
I'm guessing that you meant Sangshen, but yes, she would be over the moon about the twins. They're so cute! And, along with Liu, she'd be a wonderful babysitter (much to Yishan's dismay lol).
Louhou and Jidu would go to her for some cuddles and spoiling and snacks. She always asks Yishan and Liu to come back with some gifts for them whenever they go out for work. The twins are Yishan's reckoning for trying to use Shadowpeach and Iceflower for his "wife time" ends.
Yishan has a hilarious rivalry over Sangshen's attention. She makes sure it doesn't get too serious when she catches on. No need for Yishan to outright despise the twins to the point it gets dangerous (like it did for Yue in canon).
