42. what are their goals? what would they sacrifice anything for? what is their secret ambition?

immediately ??? get rid of the tadpole shdjsjdk. that’s her biggest concern atm. she’s chaotic good so she wouldn’t do anything extremely monstrous for it (like betray any of her companions, or a hurt a kid, or anything), but yeah, she’d kill and sacrifice to get rid of it. she wants that shit gone !!!

as for more secondary goals, she wants to get back to the white thorn. she wants to see her home again, her family. she wants to see the sea; she misses it, like one would miss a limb. and yea in the back of her head she wants to see yarrow again too, but that’s more complicated bcos of her complex feelings abt a reunion shdjsjdk

45. how do other people see them? is it similar to how they see themselves?

uhhh. probably kinda dashing and debonair shdjsjdk. she has a sort of confident, roguish presence, and even tho at her core she’s very practical — you have to be, at sea — she’s quick to laugh and charm her way into conversation. she comes across as quite laidback and almost lazy, but charming too. not particularly intimidating, not unless she tries

her image of herself is a bit nebulous. as a half-elf, and given her background, she didn’t rly fit in anywhere as a kid, and everything that she’s gained since becoming a pirate she had to fight tooth and nail for, so she... isn’t easily put into any one category? i guess? i think she definitely has difficulty separating who she is from who other people think she is ??? she has a lot of shame directed inwardly too, so :/// her opinion of herself isn’t great ig

she makes a dangerously good first impression. like, seriously, she could charm you out of your coinpurse and be off on her way within ten mins of knowing u, and she’d have u feeling as tho she’d done u a favour shdjsjdkskd. 

she’s very good at cajoling people into conversation — seriously, her inability to get shadowheart to talk immediately is such a slight on her pride — and keeping that conversation lively and humorous but largely meaningless ??? she’s much worse at forming Genuine Connections with people. so ig her first impression does reflect her to an extent, but there’s a lot of deeper stuff that’s hard to pick up on ???
