The slow professor: challenging the culture of speed in the Academy | by Maggie Berg and Barbara K. Seeber | PRINTED THIS AT THE WORK PRINTER AND I'M GLAD I DID IT BABY. Its already shedding a light about the process of corporizations of higher education institutions and how the agents (teachers and students) at those places become ridden with guilt, stress and alienation.

O Negro nos quadrinhos do Brasil ("The black man through brazilian comic books") by Nobu Chinen | Obligatory - as deemed by me, myself, I'm charging myself with this bill - to the kind of subject I'll write about for my last thesis so I can get my teaching degree, this semester.

Angola Janga, "Run for it" by Marcelo D'Salete - Comic book retelling of the battles fought by many movements made of runaway slaves for freedom, in colonial Brazil. One of the very few black men to have graduated my university - during his time - for my department of visual arts, wrote and drew this. He acts now as an art teacher and I got to meet him last year, after reading his previous works during the pandemic years.

The girl from the other side, manga by Nagabe Ive stumbled upon on a library, this february! The art is amazing.

À sombra desta mangueira ("under the shade of this mango tree" - which was translated and released in english as "Pedagogy of the Heart") by Paulo Freire. - After going through a lot of his bibliography during Uni, this is one of the most fundamental books of his work, which bel hooks references in many instances, so I need to check this one out.

Gesto inacabado by Cecilia Almeida Salles | book about visual arts creation and critique. Its essays are recent, so a breath of fresh air when it comes to academy writing on arts, in portuguese.

The last one is a really especial row, since its made of books the tagger gave me, themselves, as many gifts over the years (and that end up left unread through uni, Icry)

Van Gogh's letter to Theo | pretty self explanatory. Van Gogh's writing remains as a beam of hope.

La odisea de Juan Bautista Túpac Amaru | Tupac was named after this dude. But also, also. Last Incan leader of the indigenous resistance against the colonizers, his story told through comic books.

The dispossessed - Ursula K Leguin | Had to stop in the middle of it, but it was pretty good and intriguing. It goes far at imagining a society with no capitalist rules, and it takes us to watch a capitalist society by the eyes of an outsider.

Absolutely! This blog is a bit more fate centric because I haven’t gotten around reading any of the other type-moon stuff (except notes & tsuki no sango) yet, but provided you give me a detailed request if you want something specific (i.e. shippy stuff) i’ll be happy to whip up something for you!

so i was thinking that when the festival came around, yoseiko (while training) accidentally twisted her foot and needed immediate medical attention. when they finalized the injury, she isn't able to attend the u.a festival bc it needed time to heal @shadouko @farshoreloser @yourmoontothenightsky @notaheroofjustice
