Shab-e-Miraj: A Night to Remember 🌙

Tonight, we remember Shab-e-Miraj, the special night when Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) went on a miraculous journey to the heavens. During this night, he was given the gift of Salah (prayer) for all of us.

It’s a time to reflect on our faith, ask for forgiveness, and connect with Allah through prayer. Let’s use this night to grow closer to Him and make our hearts stronger in faith.

Let this night be a source of peace, blessings, and guidance. May it bring us closer to the light of faith and fill our hearts with gratitude.

Remember, every step we take toward Allah is a step toward light. 💫

This verse directly refers to the night journey (Isra) that led to the ascension (Miraj) and the divine signs shown to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).

Surah Al-Isra (17:1)

"Glory be to Him who took His servant by night from the Masjid al-Haram to the Masjid al-Aqsa, whose surroundings We have blessed, to show him of Our signs. Indeed, He is the Hearing, the Seeing."

"پاک ہے وہ جس نے اپنے بندے کو رات کے وقت مسجد حرام سے مسجد اقصیٰ تک لے جایا، جس کے ارد گرد ہم نے برکات رکھی ہیں، تاکہ ہم اسے اپنی نشانیاں دکھائیں۔ بے شک وہ سننے والا، دیکھنے والا ہے

Muslims all over the world observe Shab-e-Miraj or Isra Night on 27th of Rajab in every Islamic year. On Shab- e-Miraj or Isra Night, the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) traveled on a celestial animal called “Al-Buraq”, on a special journey to meet the Creator of the Universe “Allah Almighty”.

“Shab- e-Miraj or Isra Night” is quoted in Al-Quran:

سُبۡحٰنَ الَّذِىۡۤ اَسۡرٰى بِعَبۡدِهٖ لَيۡلًا مِّنَ الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡحَـرَامِ اِلَى الۡمَسۡجِدِ الۡاَقۡصَا الَّذِىۡ بٰرَكۡنَا حَوۡلَهٗ لِنُرِيَهٗ مِنۡ اٰيٰتِنَا‌ ؕ اِنَّهٗ هُوَ السَّمِيۡعُ الۡبَصِيۡرُ‏ ﴿۱﴾

Glorified (and Exalted) be He (Allah) [above all that (evil) they associate with Him] [Tafsir Qurtubi, Vol. 10, Page 204] Who took His slave (Muhammad SAW) for a journey by night from Al-Masjid-al-Haram (at Makkah) to the farthest mosque (in Jerusalem), the neighborhood whereof We have blessed, in order that We might show him (Muhammad SAW) of Our Ayat (proofs, evidences, lessons, signs, etc.). Verily, He is the All-Hearer, the All-Seer.

Allah Rabbul Aalameen Ne Quran-E-Kareem Mein Meraj Ka Zikr In Muqaddas Aayato Ke Zariye Farmaya Hai. Al-Quran: “Paaki Hai Use Jo Raato Raat Apne Bande Ko Le Gaya Masjid-E-Haraam (Khana-E-Kaaba) Se Masjid-E-Aksa (Baitul Mukaddas) Tak Jiske Ird Gird Humne Barkat Rakhi Ki Hum Use Apni Azeem Nishaniya Dikhayain Beshak Wo Sunta Dekhta Hai” (Surah Bani Israel, Para 15, Ayat 01, Ruku 1 Tarzuma Kanzul Imaan)

"Is Pyare Chamakte Tare Muhammad Ki Kasam Jab Ye Meraj Se Utre. Tumhare Sahab Na Behke Na Beraah Chale. Aur Wo Koi Baat Apne Khwahish Se Nahi Karte. Wah To Nahi Magar Wahi Jo Unhe Ki Jati Hai. Unhe Sikhaya Sakht Kuwwatwale Taqatwar Ne. Phir Us Jalwe Se Qasd Farmaya Aur Wah Aasmane Bari Ke Sabse Buland Kinare Par Tha. Fir Wah Jalwa Nazdik Hua. Fir Khoob Utar Aaya. To Us Jalwe Aur Us Mehboob Me Do Hath Ka Fasla Raha Balqi Usse Bhi Kam. Ab "Wahi" Farmayi Apne Bande Ko Jo "Wahi" Farmayi. Dil Ne Jhoot Na Kaha Jo Dekha. To Kya Tum Unse Unke Dekhe Hue Par Jhagadte Ho. Aur Unhone To Wah Jalwa Do Bar Dekha Sidratul Muntaha Ke Pas. Uske Pas Jannatul Mawa Hai. Jab Sidrah Par Cha Raha Tha Jo Cha Raha Tha. Aankh Na Kisi Taraf Phiri Na Had Se Badhi. Beshaq Apne Rab Ki Bohot Badi Nishaniya Dekhi." (Al Qur'an-E-Kareem, Sure Al Najm, Para 27, Aayat 1-18, Ruku 1 Tarzuma Kanzul Imaan)
