PSA: Squid Game 3 is coming out in 2025.

I've seen a lot of takes on SG2 being unfulfilling. It's not done. SG2&3 were made together. SG3 is in post production - it's one continuous storyline. Consider Ep 7 a mid-season finale of that makes things easier to digest. And wait for Season 3 if you prefer to binge- it'll be the final season.

Netflix botched the marketing by not revealing this but that's on Netflix.

Personally I think we should support this. It's likely the creator, Hwang Dong Hyuk, is getting a better deal with this split up - there was a small fixed rate that he got with Squid Game 1 (A 12 year project where he lost 8 teeth from stress) and he saw NO residuals or royalties, despite Netflix making $900M+ from it. He came back to do Season 2 despite that not being the plan for the story because he needed money and wanted to wrap up character arcs. There's been no talk of residuals, so it's possible he's still only getting the small fixed amount for the 2 seasons that he did the first time.

Let creators get the money they're worth.

Yeah, I totally get the vibe that they’re not being 100% honest about how he got the role. I read that more detailed article the other anon shared and checked out other ones too, and the whole thing about Thanos being “a character who depends on bad things, so it’s right for him to die at this moment” (paraphrasing here) feels way too on the nose. It’s like his whole return to the public scene was crafted from the ground up, framing it as some kind of symbolic act of taking responsibility or closing a chapter of his life. It feels like a narrative tailored specifically for the Korean audience, who, as you said, really don’t hold back when it comes to criticism or backlash. It’s the safer route, for sure, but maybe not the one that really honors who TOP is.. or at least, who we’ve known him to be. But I get it, you know?

To me, it’s pretty clear that even though he’s aware of the weight of his actions, he’s still struggling to figure out how to deal with the public’s judgment. On one hand, he’s apologizing and reflecting, but on the other, he’s still so caught up in his personal pain, like he’s stuck in this endless loop of self-defense and regret. And the fact that he even admitted to considering dropping out of the project because of the backlash shows that he knows the shadow that hangs over his casting.

He said he’s been making a ton of music during his years in isolation, but honestly, I don’t think that alone would’ve been enough for him to reintroduce himself to Korea in a fresh way. He needed something big, something that would really shake things up, for better or worse. He even said he didn’t focus on Western feedback, probably because he knew he wouldn’t face the same stigma and cultural barriers here. And it shows, his performance in SG2 got way more love in the West.

Europe especially tends to embrace eccentricity and exaggeration, especially when it’s tied to creativity and emotional depth. Directors like Pedro Almodóvar, Federico Fellini, or Lars von Trier come to mind, people who use surreal and provocative storytelling to explore complex, messy emotions. Characters in their stories aren’t good or bad; they’re layered and morally ambiguous, leaving the audience to decide what to think. European art also isn’t afraid to challenge traditional norms or dive into taboos and controversies, it’s seen as a way to question society, not something to shy away from. And honestly, it’s not all that different in the U.S. Think about Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow, an eccentric, over-the-top performance that still works because it’s memorable and engaging.

Personally, I loved TOP’s performance in SG2. It was wild and out there, but it fit.

Just to wrap this up and keep it 100% clear: I love TOP. His speech really hit me, and I’m fully empathetic with him. I truly hope he finds a way to reconnect with himself first, so he can build a more positive narrative about his life, one that isn’t all about “mistakes” and “failures.” That said, it doesn’t stop me from having a broader critical take on everything. I still think he was kinda vague in his answers and lacking a solid communication strategy.

I hope he drops an album. He should do it NOW or this year. Ughhhhhhh. I'm upset now cause this big opprtunties is fuckinf squandered now cause he's letting all of this sorrow and self blame get in the way of the fact he literally could be sharing that music with everyone and having a decent chart success cause of the show. Jesus christ. And yes, you know damn well they're lying. Top got the role through connections and I do believe he was nervous like he said and the director said but I think it was still a lot that happened that they're not sharing.

I just don't know what to think anymore. I hope by summer he has it together. It's hard to get emotionally invested only to end up just crushed by knowing he's suffering then knowing he has no way of figuring out how to get out of it.

Having just reached Meltryllis’s first appearance it’s very apparent why she’s the leading lady in the SERAPH collab and so on, and why she’s a fan favorite over Passionlip.

As much as I personally like Lip, Melt is undeniably standout, and Saori Hayama’s voice performance of cool intelligent superiority and breathless sadism is really compelling.

She’s not just a favored child—yes, she gets to be the one to break genre expectations and shatter the episodic format, which of course is going to give her a huge boost, but the intricacy of how her parts work together is apparent from just her first scene.

To see what I mean, let’s compare the two sisters.

Lip is very pitiful, and she’s convincingly miserable and mentally unstable. She’s a really compelling character and I really love her arc. But I think she doesn’t really take advantage of the fact that she’s designed after a BDSM concept—Masochistic Constitution feels like it mostly serves as “this is one of the several reasons she’s so miserable and sad.”

Based on some lines from her Punish scene and her SG entries, it seems like there’s supposed to be a sort of temptress angle to her powers—that once you get a taste of hurting her, you lose yourself in her like a fly in a trap, even knowing she’s not well, even knowing she’ll hurt you, until she closes around and devours you.But we just don’t see that in practice.

If she inspires anything it’s pity. Like, yes, we see in her SG2 scene that Robin Hood gets caught up in trying to punish her, but it’s more of a technical process, limited to the scenes where someone is bullying her. She doesn’t represent what’s so enticing about a masochist or a submissive person, she’s not even really portrayed as a closeted or unconscious masochist. Every indication points to her hating that kind of treatment, but being too meek to resist.

As a result, the different elements of her character don’t tie together. The eternal victim who shares the blame for her own loneliness and kills people because she doesn’t want to be alone, but doesn’t want the vulnerability of being known—she doesn’t have that element to tie everything together.

In fact, the line about her being a temptress from her Punish scene falls so flat as to come across as distasteful projection, which seems to imply we’re supposed to know she likes it by the fact she doesn’t fight back. It kind of makes me think Nasu doesn’t understand how to portray the appeal of a submissive, how to represent her as subject and object of desire.

Melt, however, is a different beast.

She’s bold. She’s direct. She’s domineering. She’s scary, she’s a merciless killer, but she’s also a really hot sadist.

It’s hard to fully get across without Hayamin’s breathless perfromance. She just sounds like a dom enjoying the high of Dominance. There’s an intoxicating joy in her violence, a sense that it’s not a warrior’s attack but something that she enacts for her own sake. She’s scary, but she makes that fear feel sexy; that life or death moment where you know she will kill you if you slip up feels almost like a scene between the two of you. It’s hot, and you can feel that almost dulling your extremely necessary fight or flight reflexes.

You can feel the influence of Sadistic Constitution just by being present with her. She goes from cold, beautiful, and fearsome to sounding like she’s going to lose herself in the joy of sadism as the encounter continues.

And this connects directly to her goal: she wants to offer up her entire self, the whole world, as a cradle of pleasure to her beloved. It’s the generosity of the sadist taken to its utmost extreme, the selfish selflessness of wanting to be the one that creates a paradise for your partner. It’s magnetic.

You can tell she’s unsafe. You can tell she doesn’t have limits and will really hurt you, that her love has no room for your humanity. She’s very obviously messy and dangerous. But also, she’s so magnificent that you worry if your attention slips, you just might take her offer anyway.

Melt is the femme fatale that Lip fails to be, and that lets her tie her aesthetic together and adds a lot of depth and complexity to her character. It makes her entrancing whenever she takes the stage.

It makes me sad to think about what Passionlip might have been, but it also makes me really pumped for Melt’s chapters.

Author’s Note: Maybe a little crack? It's short. 

You sat in the infirmary waiting for the okay to leave, kicking your feet gently against the bedside. 

You and SG2 had been off-world for a week. Why was it important? Because Jonas had been on an off world excavation site for two weeks before you left. Meaning a whole month has almost gone by since you saw him. 

Meaning that while you had been walking around in mud pits and running for your life by some alien mutts and simultaneously trying to fix a broken gate all you could think about was getting home. More specifically, you could only think about Jonas’s lips against yours, a warm bed, and a hot meal. 

Exactly, in that order. 

“Alright. It looks like you're good to go Lieutenant, just don’t strain yourself. That your ankle of yours just needs to rest.” Janet dropped her clipboard onto your bed and shoved her hands into her pockets. “I'm prescribing you some pain killers and if your ankle starts to bother you put some ice on it. Any questions?” 

You nodded, “Yeah, has SG1 caused any problems recently?” 

Janet smirked, amused, “Nope. No world ending scenarios and no ancient artifacts that might somehow kill us have been brought on base. So I think we're good.” 

Your shoulders dropped relieved. That should mean you get Jonas all to yourself for a little while. “Thank you Janet. Do you know where Jonas is?” 

Janet shrugged, grabbing her clipboard, “In his lab, I suppose.” 

“Thank you.” 

You gingerly drop down from the bed testing your ankle some. When you didn’t fall on your face you took some slow steps being careful not to put any weight on it. 

“I suggest you head over to the locker room before you sign off for the day. It’ll help you feel better.” 

You winced, feeling gross at the reminder. “Thanks Janet. Have a great night.” 

She handed you your pills. “Good night, Lieutenant.” 

Pills in hand you headed for the showers, wanting to get the grim off you. You had a spare change of clothes in your locker so you’ll change into that. 

And then Jonas. 

It was deserted when you got there. You sighed, quickly stripping off your filthy uniform. You crinkle your nose while examining your pants. Probably have to throw these away. You thought. 

Dropping your ruined clothes in the bin, you used the wall to help support you as you walked to the shower. Turning the knob you felt a spray of cold water hit you. You hissed, jumping back some before rolling your eyes. Great, exactly what I needed. You thought. Why not be cold and miserable?

You made quick work of cleaning up and every minute you stood there the desire to see Jonas and kiss him for all you were worth came to the forefront of your mind. You wanted the comfort of him.

Once finished you toweled yourself down and changed into fresh clothes, not bothering to blow dry your hair. Instead you just left it to air dry, your hair leaving a damp mark on your shirt. 

You flexed your ankle, testing it and groaned in pain. You really needed to take your meds and maybe some ice. Getting up you slowly put the tiniest amount of pressure on it. Sure you can handle yourself, you limped off in search of Jonas. 

Turning down his hallway you heard voices coming from his lab. You pushed yourself faster hoping to see him. 

Grabbing a hold of the threshold you looked inside. O’Neill sat on one of Jonas’s stools in the far back of the room and Teal’c stood beside him. Jonas had his back turned to you sitting in his office chair. You had made sure all his chairs had wheels on them purely because of your own enjoyment of sliding across the room in them. 

“Jonas.” 

He turned to look at you and beamed, “Y/n! You’re back!” 

You rushed over to him and yanked him to you by his collar. Kissing him with everything you had. 

“Mph!” 

His lips were soft and your lips moved against his with vigor, leaving you feeling hot with desire. 

You broke away from him at O’Neill’s cough. “You don’t need him, do you, Sir?”

You didn’t wait for a reply, simply pulling Jonas from his chair. Jonas yelped from surprise and looked back at O’Neill and Teal'c, confused with your behavior. Normally you refuse to display such affection in front of your Superiors. 

O’Neill smirked at him and threw a mock salute, “See ya, Jonas.” Teal’c shared a glance with O’Neill, the corner of his lips lifting slightly as he bowed his head.

Both men watched as you dragged the confused man out the door, holding back their shared laughter.

as far as skill level goes aita is probably above blademaster level during SG2! he's been training with Link, whos probably the best fighting teacher you can get in hyrule, and he's learned more spells. he's even been developing a new one that he invented all on his own... :) but no, since he's no longer in the yiga clan, he doesn't align himself with their rankings anymore. goes to show that the yiga clan's abusive training system doesn't work because not only is aita stronger than an average blademaster but he's happier, too

Part Two

Daniel sat in his office working on the tablets, or at least that was what he was supposed to be doing. Instead, all he could do was think of his wife.

He had come to terms with the fact he would never see her again, that she was lost to him for good. It had taken him a long time to get to this point, of being at peace with his life as it was but he had.

When he’d decided to go to Abydos to retrieve the tablet he’d intended to stay away, to not see her because he knew he couldn’t go back. When he did see her, it had been a bit like a dream, like an old family movie he’d stumbled across, but it didn’t seem real to him.

But being in her presence, talking to her, seeing her bright sparkling eyes filled with love, her kiss, had been overwhelming. Then the letter she’d written reminded him how well she could read him, like no one else ever could.

Jack came a close second, but Daniel had learned to lie to him, to hide things from his friend that he didn’t want known. He’d never been able to do that with Sha’re and it looked like he still couldn’t.

It wasn’t fair.

Daniel had given everything to the Stargate programme, to protect the Earth as well as people on multiple planets, yet he lost everything. First his parents, then his career and professional reputation, (okay technically that one was his own fault) then his wife, his chance of being a father and the rest of the family she had given him.

Even the new family he’d made with SG1 had moved on, leaving him with two people who had become his friends, but it was not the same.

Now, his longing for the life that he’d had for one glorious year was back, but this time there was something he could do about it.

They had a time machine, they had Asgard regeneration tech, and the more Daniel thought about it, the more he knew how to save her without changing the past.

It made him wonder why he couldn’t be selfish, why he couldn’t do something for him for once.

And the more he thought about it, the more he wanted it.

It would just take a little planning.

Daniel nodded to the guards who were at the entrance to the ship as he wandered towards them.

“Can we help you, Dr Jackson,” the one closest to him, Lieutenant Evans asked.

Daniel let out a sigh, his hands in his pockets as he stood in what Ferretti had nicknamed many years ago as ‘The Civilian Slouch’.

“I think I left one of my books onboard,” Daniel told them, before grimacing and adding, “At least I really hope I did, otherwise I have no idea what I did with it.”

The two men shared an amused look which didn’t surprise Daniel, from day one his non-military status meant he was underestimated. And Daniel had over the years perfected the affable, absent professor act for those that didn’t know him.

He remembered that Ferretti had nearly passed out trying not to laugh one day when he saw Daniel do it for a group of marines while they were explaining how to use a berretta to him on the shooting range, after Daniel had just out shot Ferretti and the other members of SG2.

“We’re not supposed…” Evans started glancing at the other guard whose name Daniel could not remember for love nor money.

“Just a book?” the other man asked

“I’m almost sure where I left it,” Daniel replied.

They looked at one another again and shrugged.

“Two minutes,” Evans unlocked the doors allowing Daniel in.

Daniel gave him a small smile, “Thank you, Lieutenant.”

Entering the craft, Daniel headed to the bridge and locked the ship down before starting the engines. He could see the two guards jumping away and felt a bit sorry for them, but then remembered that he’d decided for once to be selfish.

He was going to see this through, no matter the consequences.

“What do you mean, Daniel stole the time ship?” Jack demanded.

He’d been called to the SGC for an emergency, beaming in within minutes of the call wondering what was happening but had never expected the words that had come out of the other man’s mouth.

“There isn’t any other way to say it,” Landry replied.

Jack grimaced and looked around at the current members of SG1 who were sitting looking worried, “Anyone going to give me an idea why?”

Vala let out an annoyed sniff, “For her.”

“Her?” Landry asked.

Jack grimaced before asking, “Sha’re? You’re saying he’s gone back for Sha’re.”

“After he talked to her…”

“What?!!” Jack yelled, cutting her off, turning to the other General at the table he demanded, “Was that in the report because I missed it?”

Landry frowned, “I don’t remember it either.”

Vala shrugged, “He told me he’d write it.”

Sighing Jack knew he should have come as soon as Daniel returned from the mission, talked to him about being back there but he’d been caught up in a meeting.

“What exactly happened between them?” Jack asked.

Vala grimaced, “She discovered him in the cave he was waiting in and stole the tablet for him. He turned off his radio when he went back to get the tablet from her, so I didn’t hear anything.”

Jack dropped his head into his hands, “Daniel,” he sighed, “Why didn’t you wait to talk to me?”

“I can’t let this go, Jack,” Landry spoke up, “He’s stolen…”

“I know,” Jack cut the other man off, “And I’m pretty sure he knows too.”

Angry at his friend, Jack wandered the halls of the SGC while they waited for Daniel to return. He found himself at Daniel’s office and using the key he had, Jack let himself in.

As always, the place looked chaotic, but Daniel had a system which worked once you got to know it. To his surprise, he found an envelope sitting in front of the computer with his name on it. There were two pieces of paper inside. One plain white, the other reminded him more of papyrus or recycled paper.

Opening the first one, Jack began to read.

Dear Jack,

I know you’re angry, but I decided to do something for me.

I am aware of what I’m doing and what it means for my continuing as part of the SGC.

I’ll be back soon to face whatever consequences there are.

Daniel.

Short and to the point, Jack mused, very un-Daniel like. Placing it on the desk, Jack lifted the second piece of paper and opening it found a letter to Daniel from Sha’re. He couldn’t read it all as it was only partially in English, but he got the gist.

“Danny, you better come back with her,” Jack murmured, “Otherwise you’re going to lose everything, and I won’t be able to stop it.”

The phone rang and Jack grabbed it, “Yeah?”

“He’s back,” Landry said, “I thought you’d want to be here.”

Taking a deep breath, Jack stood and headed out to meet his friend.

Daniel went over his plan several times, checking the information within the database and hoping against hope that this worked. He was burning every one of his bridges doing this and knew, that as much as Jack would try, he wouldn’t be able to help him if this didn’t work.

Finally sure he was ready, Daniel settled the ship in orbit above Abydos once more, only this time it was several years after his last visit. This time his past self was there to bury the love of his life.

Daniel remembered how Jack didn’t leave his side from the moment he’d stepped through the Gate. He’d been there as Daniel sat numbly trying to understand what he did now, when he screamed at the universe for taking her away and Jack had held him as he lost himself in grief the moment he stepped into their home.

After a quick trip to their home on the planet below to pick up a few items for her, he was sitting watching the screen showing the funeral. It was surreal watching himself perform the ceremony to usher her into the next life.

He needed to ensure there was no one nearby when he brought her up, his mind shied away from the word body, because he was bringing her back.

Finally, it was time.

Setting the co-ordinates, Daniel felt his throat constrict as the light faded revealing the woman he loved wrapped in bandages. With the penknife Jack had given him for Christmas a few years before, Daniel cut the cloth away. He gently stroked Sha’re’s cheek as she lay before him looking as though she was merely sleeping, activating the healing pod he’d programmed earlier, Daniel gently lifted Sha’re into his arms and laid her inside the pod. Pushing her hair back from her face, because it annoyed her when it encroached her eyes, Daniel placed a soft kiss on her forehead.

“Come back to me,” he whispered.

Closing the pod, he took a deep breath and activated the regeneration sequence.

Sha’re was being brought back to life but as it was ensuring it didn’t reanimate the Gould, the regeneration process took several hours. Daniel tried to sit still at first but knew that he couldn’t. He kept the ship around Abydos but returned it back to the year when he lived there, so no one would interrupt them while he went over ideas on where they could go when he was kicked out the SGC. Unable to sit still he also paced the ship multiple times.

The alarm sounded letting him know that the regeneration was complete, and Daniel entered the room just as the pod opened. He looked down frozen to see Sha’re lying as still as she had been when he placed her into it. But before he could even wonder what went wrong, she took in a gasp of breath and her eyes opened.

“Sha’re,” he called, seeing she was panicking, “It’s okay. I’m here.”

Confusion covered her face, “Dan’iel?”

Relief and happiness filled him to hear her say his name, “It’s me, you’re safe and Ammonet is gone.”

She reached up and touched his cheek before realising that she was naked and in a strange place.

“Take it slowly,” Daniel told her, “Let me help you out and then you can dress.”

Sha’re nodded. She slid her arms around his neck and Daniel gently lifted her out. He took a few deep breaths trying not to focus on looking at anything other than her face. Now was not the time.

Retrieving the clothes and shoes he’d brought up from their home for her, Daniel gave her some space to dress while he made sure there were no other ships nearby then made her some dinner.

“What happened?” Sha’re asked as she drank her tea, “How am I here? I died.”

Daniel nodded, “You did. And it has been a long time since then, a lot of things have happened, and I have a lot I need to tell you.”

Looking at the ship, she nodded, “I can see that.”

“Do you remember the day you found me in the cave and gave me the tablet?” Daniel asked.

Realisation filled her eyes, “You came from now?”

“I did,” he whispered, “And until that moment I thought I had accepted losing you, but when I read your letter…” he trailed off but when Sha’re took his hand comfortingly, Daniel continued, “I couldn’t live without you again and I had the ability to bring you back into my life without changing how things had gone.”

“How long?” Sha’re asked.

Daniel closed his eyes, “It’s been almost ten years since you died.”

“Oh, my Dan’iel,” she breathed, “So long?”

“I’m sorry,” he gasped suddenly, “I should have…I should…” he trailed off as Sha’re hugged him tightly.

He wrapped his arms around her, happy to feel her warm body against his once more.

“None of it was your fault,” Sha’re told him, stroking his cheeks and wiping away the tears that had fallen from his eyes, “You did all you could, and I just hope I can fit into your life now.”

“You are my life,” Daniel replied before wincing as he confessed, “And I might have stolen the ship to bring you back.”

Sha’re stared at him for a moment before she kissed him. Daniel pulled her close and smiled at the knowledge that they were together again. No matter what came next, now she was with him then he could face whatever the consequences were with no regrets.

They sat together on the couch in the small observation room, it had a large window which showed Abydos below. Daniel had told her the fate of her people, holding her as she wept before he gave her a quick rundown of what he’d been doing the past ten years.

Sha’re knew he left out a lot, but didn’t call him on it because they had time for him to tell her the rest later.

“I want to warn you,” Daniel said finally, “That when we get back to Earth, because I stole the ship, there will be consequences for me.”

“Dan’iel…” she caught his hand.

“Don’t worry,” he assured her, “They will bluster and go through a lot of nonsense but considering all I’ve done, as well as all I know, it won’t be easy for them to simply cut me off. I also know Jack will do whatever he can to protect you.”

Sha’re nodded before she leaned against his shoulder, “Can we not run away? Somewhere no one has ever heard of the Goa’uld, or any of the other evils that invaded our lives?”

Wrapping his arms around her, Daniel breathed, “I can’t. Because without you, Jack, Sam and Teal’c became my family. They were there for me when I was alone and when I was hurting, I can’t leave them.”

Kissing him, Sha’re whispered, “I would never ask you to. It was a fleeting thought.”

“I don’t think I ever said it enough,” Daniel breathed, “But I love you. And I have missed you so much.”

Smiling Sha’re kissed him again, “Do we have to go back now, or can I say hello to you properly?”

“Are you sure you’re ready?”

Standing, Sha’re took a few steps to the door before she slid the dress off her shoulders, allowing it to fall to the floor as she disappeared from his sight.

Daniel smiled, he could face whatever the consequences were when he got back to Earth, as long as he had Sha’re.

Following her to the bedroom Daniel grinned finding her under the covers waiting for him. Undressing quickly, he kissed her as she pulled him into bed with her.

Perhaps that is the reason why being acknowledged as the “Producer of the Year” for two consecutive years(2022 and 2023) is one of the greatest feelings ever for Liugeebetz, born David Kenneth Mensah.

In the heart of Ghana, in the vibrant city of Cape Coast, a star has risen. A humble studio pulsating with rhythm, creativity and bangers as we call it on these streets has birthed this year’s “Producer of the Year” at the prestigious Central Music Awards.

I am honored to introduce you to the maestro, the genius and brain behind the console who has been weaving musical magic that has resonated throughout Central Region and taking Ghana by storm. His unique blend of traditional and contemporary sounds has set new and higher standards, especially in the evolution of Central Music. He is also one of the Founding Members of the revolutionary music group, Smelling Good Geng (SG2) which was the music group of the year in the 2022 Central Music Awards and has inspired the formation of similar groups all across the regional music scene

And tonight I finished watching ‘Children of the Gods’ (my husband is still ill, so I had another evening to myself). Teal’c helps them escape, Kawalsky and SG2 save the day with a rocket launcher, then Kawalsky gets taken over by a Goa’uld just before they get back to earth along with the other prisoners that they rescued. General Hammond is not impressed.

I can’t remember what I thought when I first watched the pilot episode (back when it was broadcast), but on re-watching I think it sets up the series quite well, including covering what happened in the film. We see a ring platform for the first time, a Goa’uld ship (is it a Death Glider?), Teal’c explains the life cycle of the Goa’uld, we see the first use of a GDO, and the final scene is of the four of them standing in front of the gate.

Two more emotional scenes: Jack and Sam having to pull Daniel back from Sha’re while they’re in the prison, and Jack being so desperate to rescue Skarra 😢

In hindsight, Hammond knows they come back from this first mission because he met them all in 1969 (I posted a link to a Hammond-centric fic a couple of days ago that mentions this).

Will I have free time to watch ‘The Enemy Within’ tomorrow, or is it going to be back to normal? We’ll see…

I’ve been inspired by seeing other people work their way through watching or re-watching Stargate, so even though I have very limited time to watch TV (never mind time by myself to watch TV) , I decided to give it a go.

I managed to watch the first part of ‘Children of the Gods’ this evening (up to the point where Sha’re gets abducted). It was all very nostalgic. I did laugh at the moment where Hammond comes into the holding cell to speak to Jack and Kawalsky, and Jack has his idea about contacting Daniel and heads to the gate with the box of tissues, leaving Hammond to follow in exasperation (the first time of many).

And the briefing room scene… The ‘Is that tough enough or do we have to arm wrestle?’ line is my favourite, but the moment afterwards where Simmons says something about burying the gate, and Jack and Sam just share a look about how ridiculous the idea is, despite only meeting a few minutes before, says a lot.

no shade but out of all the 2nd gen disney girls... Selena is THE ONE who has been ACTUALLY releasing new music which is borderline experimental and deviates from the mainstream pop sound. like i’m not attacking the other artists, they’re pretty good, but Selena is the only one who has been adventurous, taking risks, and actually pushing the envelope sound-wise. like this is what makes her stand out from her ex-disney peers and even her pop peers
